Beautiful Sunday lunch, very friendly staff, would definitely go back if I'm this way again..

Enjoyed the best roast dinner I've had in a long time. Lovely place. If I'm ever this way again I will definitely be back. The staff were welcoming and friendly.

The Black Lion pub in Llanbadern, which is located just outside Aberystwyth, has won a 5 star rating from me. This pub offers a welcoming atmosphere, with friendly and funny staff and a wide choice of drinks and food. We were there in July and enjoyed the food and the atmosphere was lovely. We stayed Friday, Saturday and Sunday and had food there 3 times so I don't understand the comment about the lack of food. We are going this weekend to meet family for brother in laws birthday.

Sunday carvery lovely with an attentive host. Just wish we lived nearer. Recommended.

We were here Aug 2023. Great selection of pump beers including Magners on draft. No food at all, just bar snacks. Great for sky sports

Confused as the reviews here are about the food, but when we went they said they don't do food. It was a weeknight - perhaps they do Sunday lunch?

I highly recommend the Black Lion in llanbadern. The establishment has earned a 5-star rating from me due to its exceptional service, delicious food, and a comfortable atmosphere. If you are in the area, I urge you to visit and experience it for yourself. You will not be disappointed.

I called today for a traditional Sunday lunch break on a 150mile journey, responding to the A board on the pavement. I parked easily/safely. Upon entering it was clearly Covid aware. There were ample staff and one cheerlady type from the Emerald Isle Leading the pack, a joy to behold, in exactly the right slot for her friendly outgoing at ease personality. From seating to eating was 15mins, a nice beef dinner, Cheap cheerfull. 100% . Paul Storr.

Just had a beautiful steak dinner. Prefectly cooked with all the trimmings. The plate was full and I ate every bite. Great value for money. The atmosphere was great, bar staff friendly and that makes the food enjoyment even better. Compliments to the Chef and would 100% recommend.

The food had to be sent back three times it would seem the chef can't cook chips cooked in the middle hard inside very greasy.

A unique place in Ceredigion. Perfect location for spoiling someone. Managed to perfection. Good deals for those who enjoy, but can't really afford that level of luxury.

What a lovely find myself & my friend made tonight. Warm, friendly & welcoming. We ordered then sat and chatted with our drinks. The sound of chat and the general ambience was just wonderful. We soon relaxed and just enjoyed our surroundings. Once the meal came, which although took over an hour, we were surprised at the size of the meal, it’s was very very generously proportioned. Once we were over the shock we tucked in. The meal was hot, incredibly tasty and worth every penny spent & minute waited. We were so full we didn’t finish & bought our deserts home with us as there was no way we could have managed them. An absolute gem of a place & 1 we will be returning to regularly.

A very good 'local' pub. Pool and darts feature heavily and it has a large screen telly for sport. Landladies are lovely!
