Been off stella for years this particular pint was outstanding 👌👍👌

We popped in to use the toilet. Landlord and public very friendly and helpful

I checked the reviews yesterday and this pub had great reviews. People we spoke to in Newent today were guarded about this pub and advised us it was under new management in last two weeks. We pitched up for lunch. Really loud music greeted our arrival. Bar person was unsure about ‘dog friendly’. Said there was no food despite a menu being displayed in a window. Interestingly the menu seemed to be several foods offered by local takeaways…but apparently no food today. The staff looked clueless, any welcome was absent. Be aware this may no longer be a pub for ordinary folk. Oh, and the previous great reviews disappeared overnight.

Now it's run properly. Nice place. lovely fire and fun pub.. Nice atmosphere

Didn't eat but good beer and top service.

The food is slop, I wouldn't even feed it to my dog. Mark sticks it in the microwave for 2 minutes and charges £10 more than it's worth.

Absolutely top bloke who run’s place mark I think his name was? Makes you feel at home and always up for a decent chat if needed👌🏻on top of that locals are a right laugh and good for a general chit chat if wanted. Service 10/10 Vibes 20/10 not complaining one bit

Never open. And when I went for a drink. There was a dog hair in my drink..off putting..black coarse dog hair....

Only a flying visit but a roaring log fire and Butty Bach on draught is irresistible, the menu looks good and ingredients are locally sourced. I will be returning in the summer to enjoy the beer garden... Hopefully the wife will drive home.

It's OK pretty standard pub nothing to complain about had a few beers there with a friend. The only down side is it could have a better selection of ales and not all the staff seem that friendly.

The beer selection is a bit limited if you're an ale fan like me, but otherwise its nice enough. Food came quickly and was a fair price.

This pub is in the town of Newent, and is popular with local people, which is always a good sign.. There's a large car park and outdoor area and the atmosphere inside is friendly and lively. There's often free live music available so plenty of good reasons to call in!
