Bird in Hand in Coventry

Food isnt served here bar snacks only. I visit with a friend who is a regular. There are two pool tables and a duke box. Its a shame it isnt well managed or busy it has so much potential.

Started using this pub whilst going through some difficult times, the people make you feel welcome and ability to play pool and darts makes is an added bonus will always be my local for sport.

Having been patrons of this pub for decades, my family and I consistently enjoy the fantastic food, impeccable service, and refreshing drinks. While my loyalty may make me biased, I genuinely believe this pub stands out among others in Coventry. Highly recommended.

Just dropped in for one drink, just because we could. Good old fashioned feeling pub with friendly locals, and that’s saying something as I’m from Sunderland and you never know how you might be receiving. It was topped off by watching on the large screen tv the end of the Sunderland v Southampton game where we won 5-0 so all in all an enjoyable visit. We didn’t have any food so cannot comment on this.

Liked this pub, proper pub. Didn't feel like a 'spoons, big positives! Friendly, pool tables, reasonable prices. Good pub!

I refuse to give it five stars because over twenty years ago when the Irish couple ran it I auditioned to be one of the pianists but they allocated me to the beer garden where I would be in company of big time classless drinkers I was in my forties at the time and they thought I should be with youngsters who have no taste in traditional piano music

It's a nice little pub with an old pub feel and they do special events like free pool and music on Tuesdays

Play pool and music here. Beers were pricier but no complaints when they have the footy on cable. Not a place for craft beers or real ale but was pleased they had a pint of mild on draught.

Brewery needs to spend money on the place for landlord

I have recently been going into this pub for the last few weeks while I'm staying in coventry, from day one all the regulars and bar staff and the landlord and landlady have been really nice and welcoming towards me, When I go back home I will miss this place so I will have to make a couple of journeys back over to see everyone.

Sunday dinner was delicious! Chef and waitress were lovely! Food was served quickly and was superb! Chef came and asked how all the food was, very nice touch! Would come back in an instant! Bar staff weren’t very friendly or welcoming which was a shame compared to the catering.

Came down from Scotland but they wouldn't accept my Scottish £20 note, thought these days were gone. If it wasn't for a kind customer exchanging my money we would have had to leave without a drink. Won't be back.

Run down in darkness. Apart from the bar that was surrounded by regulars singing very loudly to the very lound music. Very intimidating. Give it a miss

Quite local pub if you fancy a few beers. Monday is bingo night. 2nd and 4th Thursday of each night is quiz night good fun.
