This is our go-to place for special occasions. Always had a good experience and friendly staff.

Bit quiet when we were there early on a friday night. Very good and friendly service. Food could have been tastier, perhaps they should reduce the range of fish on the menu and have a fresh fish of the day.

Simply delicious. Excellent service and pleasant staff. Highly recommend They serve Poretti beer, too, so what more does one need ?

This is a lovely, quaint restaurant situated by a small airfield in Denham. The inside is a little dated, but this really adds to the charm, especially with the soft music in the background. The food was excellent and served by delightful waiting staff. I went with my wife, and we had Gambas Al Ajillo, Serrano Ham with Melon, Chicken Kiev, and Sirloin Steak Bordelaise. All the food was excellent with perfectly balanced flavours. The waiter suggested the Bordelaise sauce with the steak, and it was lovely. I will be visiting again very soon.

This is a lovely restaurant. In a nice way it is like stepping back in time. The service is excellent and the food delicious and generous. Tables quite closely placed due to size of the property so not too intimate but would not stop visiting many times in the future

What a gem of a restaurant this is. They have been here for over 30 years and I can see why. I had lunch with a lovely friend and it was the first time I have been here. Don't miss this lovely place. The food, ambience and service was outstanding. We had a lovely lunch and overlooking the aerodrome. Beautiful surrounding area and well worth a visit. What a find and thank you so much for finding us a table as we did not make a reservation.

The two menus offer a wide selection, and the food is excellent. The desserts are also great as is the service. Staff are courteous and friendly. Would certainly recommend.

This restaurant exists in a time warp! Though (or maybe because) popular with diners of a certain age the food is a throwback to the 60's and 70's, typically over-rich with lots of cream and butter. My piri piri chicken was totally inauthentic, just a piece of roast chicken breast covered in a thick mildly spiced tomato sauce. Service was offhand and lacking any continental charm.

Rather quirky but very busy which says it all really! Excellent quality of food with a large menu to choose from. Good service too. Recommend you book.

I will pre-empt this with I went to Biggles because of the great reviews I saw and I think it helps if you're a regular... Menu and atmosphere were transplanted out of the 80s and while my roast was good, my dining partner's food was average. We had the Sunday 3 course menu. Deep fried mushrooms were soggy and the prawn cocktail was ok Pork roast was good and they made allowances for my dairy intolerance, grilled salmon passable Then dessert trolley, only fruit for the dairy afflicted. And profiteroles for my partner, she enjoyed those. The service was mixed, care and attention from some of the staff, not from others, like not telling us the contents of the dessert trolley and just leaving silence for us to ask what each thing was. Which was done for others. Also, silver service standard from some staff, just tipping salvers onto your plate from others. Our coats were taken at the beginning but we had to find them on our way out. Interesting experience, I'm personally not going to return.

Wonderful Sunday lunch, especially the roast beef and roast lamb. Very friendly and attentive waiters, Spanish, Portuguese and Italian, quite continental!

A very different but interesting establishment. A difficult place to locate in the dark without satnav but when you arrive you are well rewarded with a friendly greeting and good food in a convivial atmosphere. The menu choice is impressive and cannot fail to appeal so walk in, drive in, or even fly in, for a very jolly experience.

Excellent Service good quality food reasonable price even cooked my food at the table. Then for afters the dessert trolly comes around with a selection of home made desserts.and a great view of the small aeroplanes If there’s any questions I can help out with in regard to the area in general don’t hesitate to ask and I’ll try my best to help you out.

Lovely Spanish style restaurant on the fringe of Denham Aérodrome, lots of nice little planes to see. Nice staff bring the well prepared food as the cool country air breezes through the restaurant. You can eat for less it's true, but this is like Spain without the horrible airport or the blistering heat of August; well worth the extra dineros.

Attended a family lunch this Sunday gone. Great old school type restaurant, waiters in bowties looking very smart, extensive menu, nothing fancy, simply well cooked food. Fantastic location next to the aerodrome

Very old school friendly pub/restaurant. Don't expect much veggie friendly food and it is like something straight out of a 70's sitcom but thats its charm.

Arrive by plane or car - or more realistically time machine as you step back into the 80s. Classic British and European fare cooked well with exceptional and attentive service. Can’t beat this place if you like traditional food done well.

Rather sad in that we have been coming to Biggles for many years (at least 3 times a year) Our last visit was rather disappointing in that the starter, a prawn cocktail, the sauce was very bland & the Sunday roast beef came already served with gravey. Had better at an average carvery. The choice of desserts no longer came on a trolley and were rather disappointing

Does feel like a step back to the 70s and 80s in terms of ambience - music was a mix of 10cc, The Bee Gees and Motown classics. The aviation pictures are of RAF's Cold War might. Menu includes prawn cocktail, melon, beef stroganoff, and other Delia classics. The waiting staff (I'm guessing Spainish as Estrella Galicia was the best beer choice on the menu) are perfectly attentive. And the food was delicious. Don't be put off by the look, the grub is great.

Our daughter booked this for Easter Sunday. Was looking forward to having a meal. I had the beef Wellington. The steak inside was cooked to perfection but just sliced mushrooms on top, which was a letdown. The duck was so so. Our daughters meal of fish looked ok , son in law steak looked so so. Our grandchildren had the Sunday roast which also looked reasonably ok, but the meat was already in a gravy. Did that mean it was reheated ? There was no choice of different vegetables, so only had what would be served on a Sunday. I would have preferred a choice. Biggest let down was the fact that the children paid full price, not a children's menu. Because our daughter was paying and she did not want to make a scene, i just kept quiet. Would not recommend

Enjoyed two lunches in this popular restaurant but dinner recently was not a pleasant experience. A long wait for mediocre food, poor presentation and unfriendly service in a crowded restaurant. Will stick to the Italian in the village.

Exceptional experience, like going on holiday to a taverna in 80's Spain. Extremely good service from very experienced staff. Its so hard to pick from the menu as it all looks so good and everything I have ever had has been lovely.

We have been going to this restaurant at least once a month. The last time we went there we did not pay the service charge because the waiter who served us was very rude. He threw the basket of bread in the middle of the table. My companion and I looked at him but did not say a word to him. When he brought the food he just dumped it on the table. I had to ask him to kindly remove the bone from the fish. He eventually did it saying to me that he didn't know that I didn't eat bones. I found this very insulting. So because of this I did not pay his tip which was optional. He then went and told his colleague that I refused to pay the tip. When I was leaving to go to my car he followed me shouting at my husband and asking my husband for the tip that I did not pay. My husband just replied to him that the tip was optional he didn't want to go into any details as we were already very disappointed with the service. He then carried on shouting at us harassing him even more. When we started the car to drive off he told us never to go back to Biggles Restaurant. We found this behaviour very unbecoming and uncalled for. This was basiccally an attack on us.

We enjoyed a fantastic evening at this restaurant. We were a group of 8 friends and each of us were delighted with our food choices. The Tournedos Biggles with port and Stilton sauce is highly recommended as is the Cardinal Sole. I chose the Scampi in Love which is cooked and flambeed at your tabke - delicious! Starters and desserts were all delicious and we can recommend the oranges in Grand Marnier and the creme brulee ! The service was first class. The staff were very professional and efficient and they were also great fun with a great sense of humour! Great ambience - my only thought is that the decor is a little dated and tired which may be part of the appeal for some.

We had dinner here last night last night after a friends recommendation and we weren't disappointed. The warm welcome we received when we arrived was followed by the most amazing food, freshly cooked to order. The menu was varied with so much to choose from it was hard to know what to have. The staff were very friendly and the service was outstanding. We'll definitely be back. Would highly recommend.

It's wonderfully old school, always slightly chaotic but that makes it brilliant, food very nice, choose your desserts from the trolley. All in all a very nice place to visit

Loved it: set lunch for 4, with a good, varied menu at a reasonable price, excellent service and cosy surroundings, reminiscent of restaurants I visited with my parents! Such a pleasant change from the usual bland pubs and chains.

Biggles is a real gem in an already tranquil and beautiful setting. The hosts and servers were good for a laugh and really tentative. The food was beautiful, incredibly flavoursome and served table side so very hot and fresh.

Old fashioned proper restaurant. Sunday roast was amazing, with all the trimmings, very large portions too The Tirimasu for desert was a mountain to say the least. We'll be back!

We had a very friendly welcome and were made to feel at home. The a la carte menu is huge so plenty of choice and the menu of the day had a great choice to. The Biggles steak is very good indeed as was the selection of vegetables. Service was efficient and friendly. We had a good lunch!

Friendly staff, but some were looking stressed as we went on Sunday and it was very busy. Food was good, Sunday Roast was okay but vegetables were average. We were promised broccoli and cauliflower but got carrots and beans. Dover sole was lovely, so we're deserts. However it is too expensive for what it is.

Cannot fault the food it was lovely, if a touch salty for my taste. It is also a little on the pricey side. What really lets Biggles down so far as I am concerned is the level of comfort. Because it is such a small space, to maximise revenue they have packed too many tables in there and they are crammed so close together. The ceiling is quite low so the sound does not seem to dissipate and at times it was so noisy I had to shout across the table to my dining companion. Another problem was the heat. This evening it was quite humid and because of the lack of air, the sweat was pouring off of me. Eventually a couple of windows were opened, but they should have done that about 4.00pm to get some air circulating, rather than wait until 8.30 ! Finally, the chairs were so unforgiving, my rear end has not been so uncomfortable since my schooldays. I have sat in hospital waiting rooms where the levels of comfort are higher. I have given Biggles 3 stars, because to give it just two would be somewhat churlish. if i were marking out of ten it would just about make five . The food would score 8/10 but the comfort level struggles to reach 2/10. So would i rush back. If proper tables were set up wuth comfortable chairs outside, or they invested in air conditioning or at least a few fans, then perhaps I would, but as it is now, I dont think so. I also think it is very pricey for what it is

Have been before on several occasions. This time the food was still good, but our waiter was surly and not very welcoming. The other staff were friendly and the atmosphere, other than our waiter, was friendly.

Fabulous restaurant. Delicious food, generous portions and great service. I'd heard many positive comments about Biggles, but not had the opportunity to go until last night. We shall be going back again.
