Came here on a Friday night alone for a quick meal. Ordered the gored gored and a beer. I’ve had Ethiopian food before, and the food here was so tasty with the right level of spice. Special mention to how lovely the staff and customers were here too looking out for a girl eating alone. I felt safe and looked after. One of the friendliest places I’ve ever been and will be coming back.

This is an authentic spot of amazing Ethiopian cuisine that is a must stop for anybody that enjoys real food and eating meals that are cooked from the heart.

Had the vegan & gf platter - absolutely delicious & plenty for two people. Friendly staff & very reasonably priced - £23 for a sharing main & 3 drinks. Highly recommended.

Fabulous food very reasonable prices. If you like trying different kinds of food this is definitely fir you. We had the vegetable mix and a lamb which was beautifully served on soft bread. Two big men and we struggled to finish it. Friendly, nice simple cafe style atmosphere and obviously home cooked.

Went for a quick dinner with my partner and it was fantastic! The lady who served us was lovely and the food was delicious! We had the vegetable platter which is vegan and gluten free and we loved it. Highly recommend!

Food is amazing and I think I want the couple that run it to adopt me. I'm 39 and already have parents but I just loved them. Will go again - Take cash!!

Highly recommend for anyone wanting a big plate of delicious food, a nice chilled atmosphere, and friendly servicevery. Very impressed all round and left feeling very full up and happy. And it was very reasonably priced too. 5 stars!

Had an amazing meal here - fresh food that was absolutely delicious. We had a main meal with the platter. Highly recommended for those who like something a bit different from the norm.

Delicious food, great service, very clean and great for our little one with high chairs and lots of interesting things to see around the walls such as photos, flashing lights and a drum! We enjoyed trying Ethiopian food for the first time and loved being able to have a buffet style laid out for us as a group of 8, enabling us to try everything. Would definitely recommend! (Also had a GF person with us who was looked after very well)

A lovely hidden gem in Sheffield! If you haven’t tried Ethiopian food before, this is a perfect place to start. The server was lovely, welcoming and attentive. Our food was clearly cooked fresh and tasted amazing. From portion size, price to taste, a great spot to visit. Highly recommend! We got the Vegetarian platter, beef stew and a lamb dish, and the bread came with the dishes. P.S. Ethiopian cuisine is delicious!

An excellent meal, and brought back good memories of sharing injela with old friends from Ethiopia.

Awesome food, quick service, good atmosphere and great prices. Fully intend to return for more of this delicious food. Great quality and quantity set of dishes on offer. Although the restaurant frontage is a little rough around the edges this is a restaurant I would happily recommend to anyone.

Amazing restaurant that deserves to be packed every night. Went for graduation meal with family of seven. Were treated very well and had an amazing experience. Food was delicious and the kitchen was extremely flexible even though we had multi dietary requirements. A must go for anyone visiting Sheffield!!!

Very nice small Ethiopian restaurant in Sheffield. The food was very tasty (although the Injera was a bit too soggy at the bottom and it was a bit hard to eat the last bit of the dish). Affordable, flavourful food and highly recommended for vegans :)

Extremely friendly experience! We ordered a veggie platter and the owner made another with some meat on for my friends. Flavour was there!!

Delicious Ethiopian dining in a humble, clean and relaxed environment, accompanied by the finest native music playing! Excellent value considering portion size and quality of food and service was friendly and attentive. Would highly recommend!

Excellent food at very reasonable price. Decor is basic, but don't be put off. The main dishes come with a flatbread, which you use to eat with your fingers. If you are in a group, order one dish each and share them. Sadly there were only t of us, so we didn't get to sample many things, but I would happily go back.

Tried the Chicken tibs with bread which they prepared according to my palate..in Indian style which was really good. The dish is enough for 2 if you are not very hungry. The cappuccino was tremendously good and the hot chocolate too. The service was a bit slow but the order taker was very polite and helpful. Had a great experience....

Great food. Excellent hospitality. Reasonable prices. Good coffee to seal the experience. What more can one want on a cold Tuesday evening? I tried the Zigni, a spicy beef stew which was served with Injera. Excellent flavours and service.

Very good Ethiopian food! Friendly service and very good value for money. Not sure why it wasn't busier although it was a week night. Highly recommend!

Good atmosphere, great food with large portions

I'd never tried Ethiopian food before and I'm really glad I came here to try it. Warm welcome, cozy atmosphere, staff were very happy to answer our questions. Food was delicious, it was all served with Injera and I've never had anything quite like it before, highly recommend giving it a try if you're looking for something a little different!

Lovely food and very accommodating service - we were in a bit of a rush, as we explained, and the delicious food came very quickly indeed. We really enjoyed the food, and the prices were very reasonable - delighted to eat here for the first time, and we look forward to returning!

The vegetable platter is really good. You get 5 different dishes and a huge flatbread for a quite decent price. Also the flatbread is naturally gluten free.

Warm welcome, beautiful food and tasty beer, all excellently priced. If you have not been yet... Go. You will not be disappointed. I will return again next time I visit Sheffield.

I was in Sheffield alone for work and wanted to take the opportunity to eat something I don't get at home. It was a Tuesday at about 7pm and very quiet so I didn't feel it was an imposition to talk to the proprietor about his suggestions from the menu and what I like eating (almost everything), I chose the vegetarian platter plus a meat dish of his choosing. I had a mug of tea flavoured with cinnamon and maybe some other spice, and read my book in peace. When the food came it was a huge pancake-style bread with several different vegetarian topping and one large spicy beef one. All of it was delicious, and I was more than satisfied, I was left in peace to keep reading after finishing the food, and didn't feel awkward. I did wonder afterwards if I'd had a two person dish by accident (wouldn't be the first time). If you can cope with eating with your fingers (or asking for cutlery) I'd give it a go. I'll be taking my family there if ever we're in Sheffield.

Lovely food at a very reasonable price. The man who served us was so friendly and welcoming. It was fairly quiet SO GO THERE AND EAT help them out, we will certainly be going again!

Didn't know what to expect... First timers with Ethiopian food. Warmly welcomed, food explained & very tasty. No cutlery, eat with the copious Ethiopian bread & fingers. Ask about heat/spiciness if concerned - mild dishes available. Very reasonably priced. Will definitely visit again.

Great friendly place, excellent East African menu, but be warned, it can be very spicy hot 🔥.

Visiting Sheffield with my family and never having been to an Ethiopian restaurant before decided to give it a go. We just asked them to surprise us with a meal and they surely did. Fantastic service and absolutely stunning food. Give them a go you will not be disappointed.

Genuinely blown away by this modest looking gem. We didn't know what to expect, having never eaten Ethiopian food before, but we couldn't have been more happy with our choice. If you're looking for something different, but still genuinely tasty, give this a go!

If I could give less stars I would. The Doro wot was so salty I choked after the first mouthful. The Shiro likewise so salty it could have been salt gargle. Shiro is supposed to be thick this was soupy. The injeras were frozen and party cold partly warm. I phoned up immediately...no answer. Not just disappointed but extremely angry.
