Amazing bent over backwards to accommodate us food was lovely and hot and all 5 of us enjoyed it. Portions were good and there was more than enough food. Price was reasonable and we will definitely revisit .

Ordered pizza, just ordinary, calzone Luke warm and tasteless, chicken kebab soggy mess, fish supper which was very greasy and the worst my son in law has ever eaten. Owner was rude and ignorant. If you can't be bothered to cook decent food and be pleasant then sell up. Do not recommend

Best kebab and pizza..... Well, I guess seeing as it's the only one in the Village, it would be hard to disagree. However, whilst the exterior and interior are nice. I can't say the same of food or service. Ordered spicy Italian pizza. It was anything but. Very bland in taste and watery. Imo too many peppers, olives, and celery pieces, not enough fresh chillies, peperoni. Noticed the chef asked the previous customer if he wanted salt & vinegar on his chips. I wasn't (didn't bother me), but when I got home, the chips were covered with salt (no vinegar) Also ordered a large kebab with chilli sauce. Got home, the meat grease had soaked the pitta bread, also covered in red cabbage, with only a tiny amount of meat. If you have to eat here, make sure it's your last resort.

Food was lovely. Popped in tonight for the first time for a pizza and a kebab. Food was delicious!

Weird owner He never spoke to us, we think he could of been French not sure, ordered 2 kebabs small chips got back to the caravan site no chips ( he didn't charge us for them ) a family came in asked if they could sit down, he snapped " take away only " the kebabs wasn't the best, we have had really weird place like going into your grandma's house and she decided to turn it into a chippy?.

Rotten , extremely greasy food, pizza rubbish , pakora tasteless and seemed as if it was its 5 or 6th time getting fried. Shop looks like it’s from the 70s , no food hygiene certificate visible. Overpriced for rubbish food, if you want a pizza go to kayantics

best chicken kebabs and chips I have ever tasted 😊

4th visit. Usually get pizza and a fish supper but this time it was pizza, garlic bread and pakora supper. Pizza was superb yet again and dad loved the pakora almost as much as the fish. Service was friendly and efficient too. Looking forward to our next ‘chippy night’

Serendipitous discovery, late at night in a new town, hungry and wet. Great food, freshly cooked and the best prices. The manager let us sit in, despite being about to close. Best Haggis that I've ever had and superb fish and chips. Chips were well cooked, too, which is a bugbear of mine.

Stopped for fish supper thinking it was fish and chip shop had a wait because all was freshly made but well worth the price. Best fish and chips I have had in a long time beating some chip shops hands down.

Run by a one man army! We absolutely loved the pizza and it was extremely great value for money. If I'm ever back at moffat I'll definitely eat here again.

We used to eat hear regularly when passing through before COVID, for the best fish and chips we've found anywhere, so thought we'd try it again. And what a strange experience it was. There was a group of teenagers hanging around the serving counter, who all fell quiet as we went it. If there had been a piano player, they'd have stopped playing. The youths departed without food, we found a table with a menu, checked that they did fish and chips and ordered, only to be told abruptly that it was takeaway only and - despite the menus - no sit down service. So away we went, with a strong feeling that neither we nor our custom were welcome. Most peculiar. Perhaps there is a perfectly good explanation, but we won't try again until we see some positive reviews. Shame. We were looking forward to the fish and chips.

Absolutely shocked at the disrespect over the phone when asking to place an order. I am an international traveller and have never ever encountered such shocking manners over the phone. Will never ever spend a dime or waste my time with this restaurant. Shocking first experience!!!!! It’s a pity I actually have to give them a single star otherwise I would leave them with a ZERO rating….

I just bought Haddock and chips this evening and the batter wasn't cooked at the bottom. I had to throw them away.

First class on quality here, we use this place regular, kebab or pizza are outstanding. Fresh and tasty every time. We haven't found anywhere local even Dumfries who put so much love and attention to the food they prepare. We regularly get the doner with chips and salad or pizza with chips. I've never had a pizza so tasty..... you won't be disappointed.

Great fish and chips on a wet cycle ride.

After a day sightseeing we drove into Moffat for some dinner. The first place we tried was out of food, so we went in here,(great choice). The waitress was very polite and helpful, we ordered 3 large fish suppers and a 12" Calzone with peperami and mushrooms.+ 2 cans of coke and 2 bottles of water. The decor is far from perfect but the food when it arrived was perfect. Well presented and super tasty, but the standout feature was the price, absolutely great value for money. All I can say is well done and thanks.

Mixed review as the king size kebab we ordered would barely feed a child let alone an adult. Meat was not cooked very long before it was sheared and put on the grill to heat quicker but it dried the meat out. The guy had an attitude problem and spoke too quietly when asking if we wanted chilli or garlic, when asked to repeat what he said he just rolled his eyes and put garlic in the bag without asking again......we wanted chilli. The woman was super friendly and made us a delicious pizza with a generous helping of cheese. The salad was fresh and the sausage and chips were nice.

Had two medium kebabs, the meat was dry and crusty. The salad was slimy. So very glad it was only £9.50 we wasted. Such a let down.

One of the worst pizzas we have had. Thick, stodgy and greasy. Chips were awful greasy and loads of salt, no vinegar. Sorry but we won't go back .

Really poor experience. The spicy chicken pizza was so full of chillis it burned my throat for hours after, slices as big as your thumb to munch through. Chips had been fried on oil that had seen a few months I’d say and characterless unfriendly staff that couldn’t care less. Loaded chips with vinegar without giving a choice, probably to hide the old oil smell. Avoid as I’m sure there are other much better places when your passing through.

Brilliant kebab. Good value for money with a great fresh salad.

Visited quite late at night after almost 7 hours driving, were exhausted and had gone to multiple places who had said they were still serving only to be told they weren’t.. Owner was mid closing up and stayed open for us to make us a fresh pizza and was so kind and generous! Food was great- Italian hot pizza most definitely is hot and tasted super fresh. 100% will be back next time we are up that way, would recommend to anyone!

Very good. Fresh, as in fresh fish and freshly prepared to order fish and chips. It was haddock, the batter was light and not saturated in fat, the chips were good too.

Everything was cooked freshly, chips really nice, fish large and tasty, and pizza cheesy and dissapeared quickly. Uses vegetable oil so less greasy than the other takeaways locally, and good prices. Staff can be terse, and cash only with very little change, nearest cash machine is most of the way down the other side of the main road. Would use again.

We have visited on numerous occasions and the food is always good and freshly cooked , it is a takeaway and does great pizza's , kebab's , fish & chips etc all in good sized portion's . You can sit in and eat and my wife and i have done so several times BUT it is basically a takeaway so nothing posh but still ok ,plastic table cloth's and sauces in plastic bottles and no drink license , BUT good food

Food was okay tasting until we found half an insect in the salad! Dont know where the other half was, and don't want to. Look around before you order, was really run down and dirty. But lady serving was really nice.

Well where do I start. Ordered the extra large kebab and got basically nothing. Ordered chips and the same. Kebab was very dry and the salad out of the arc. The chips where hot but very crispy.and not enough salt and vinegar on. For nearly 10quid I'd say try somewhere else. Sorry but not good at all. I've eaten better in london for less.

this is the greatest doner kebab ive ever had not your usual greasy elephants leg set up we will be back its a 30 mile round trip but well worth it.

Had the cheese pizza 12 inch £7.00 great tones off cheese kid's loved it 2 £2.00 for a box off chips very nice 2 ever back in the area will pop in definitely high recommend

The chips were extremely dry and believe had been cooked twice.The tomato sauce bottles were sticky and we suspect filled with inferior tomato sauce.Howeverwe liked some of the art works

Says on Google closes at 23.30 every night but I arrived at 23.10 on a sunday night to find it had been closed for a while! If your times have changed let people know!! Very poor!!!!!!!!

Very nice Fish Supper freshly made. Chips were perfect.. Portions very large, no complaints there in all a great meal. Had it sitting outside on a lovely evening in Moffat. The kebabs looked really good. Might try one when we are back down. Really recommend it.

I paid £6.50 for a donner meat and chips and to be honest they were pretty bad. Firstly the portion size was very small and if I’m honest I’m pretty sure the meat had been stored all afternoon because it was cold and the chips tasted double dipped - They were soft!! I wouldn’t return. Shame. I really dislike reviewing like this but customers deserve better.

Very poor pizza burnt base and no taste. Kebab wasnt too bad but found cardboard and plastic within it..... Avoid if you can

We tried the best Pizza and Kebab House twice during our stay in Moffat. Someone local recommended it “if we like cheesy pizza” and this place delivers on that promise. Between our group we tried the doner and funghi pizza, the ham/mushroom calzone, the cheesy chips, fish supper and the deep fried haggis. All were tasty and even cheesier than we could have hoped!

Whilst staying overnight in Moffat I just fancied a pizza... I was hank and couldn’t wait for a restaurant (service etc)... Then I spotted this little gem on my iPad maps! I nipped in and ordered 2 x 12” Ham, Mushroom, garlic & extra cheeeeeezzzzz pizzas which were prepared and cooked in 5 mins!!... I almost troffed the lot and they were blumming lovely like!... One is enough for any man but I was being a propa pig and deffo over did it buying 2... These pizzas are propa lush with lots of topping, cooked perfectly!... I will stick Wots left in the microwave tomorrow and top up my garlic breath for my mates!!! Perfect 10/10!

Après une longue route, nous avions envie d’un fish and chips. Bien que le nom « best pizza... » ne soit pas très attirant nous avons étaient très agréablement surpris par la gentillesse du personnel, l’endroit cosy et agréable. Nous avons eu un énorme fish excellent, frais et cuit à la demande. Les frites sont maison et très bonnes. Nous conseillons pour une pause rapide. Attention cash uniquement. Merci beaucoup

After reading some excellent reviews we decided to forego other eating options in Moffat and go to this venue for a scrumptious supper. Perhaps We should have gone with our rule of thumb whereby an empty restaurant or cafe we would bypass. We paid two visits because on the first visit there was no one in the shop we could see and after a couple of minutes we left. Returning 15 minutes lady there was a lady behind the counter and a couple of customers waiting. The lady serving made no greeting other than “what can I get you”?. And after taking the order:” I’ll bring it over”.

Great quality and great price! Open 7 days a week. It is just perfect. I recommend.

Food cooked from fresh whilst you wait ,also little seating area inside ,perfect drop off for fish and chips .food was very tasty ,staff was wonderful.and helpful.,place had bathroom facilities and was very clean

I can with a group of my colleagues and had such a wonderful welcome from Linda, the menu is overwhelming, with everything, we thought that this would be you're ordinary chip shop, but no, she makes everything fresh, Pizzas, amazing, Lasagne, and Kebabs with salad &Garlic; & chilli sauce, don't forget her home made coleslaw, which you have to try, oh and her home made Lasagne is amazing, we will be back as soon as, thanks Linda for your hospitality, and your wonderfull food, yum x

We live up the valley about 16 miles away and this is still the best place to come if you want excellent fish and chips. We have been here quite a few times now and have never once been disappointed with our food. Excellent value for money and you can either take away or eat in if you prefer. My recommendation is always save room for their sticky toffee pudding !!

Fácil de encontrar al final de la calle principal, con un montón de aparcamiento en las bahías que pasan por el centro. Tranquilo en 7. 30:00 en una noche de sábado, así que servían de inmediato. Un filete enorme completamente hicieron de éste un pescado y patatas fritas (muy satisfactorias y de un gran valor en £7 para eso y una ensalada grande). No pegan alrededor pero hay una zona de estar muy agradable si quieres comer. Muy práctico.

Mi marido acababa de terminar un turno de 12 horas, necesitaba algo rápido y rápido y contundente. Los pinchos son increíbles y las raciones son grandes. marido había oferta de día, pescado y patatas fritas y guisantes, té, pan y mantequilla, era de £9. 00. unos dueños encantadores, sentarse o comer fuera.

Run by a Turk, who really knows how to do a kebab! Ignore the big twirly mashup of lamb, and ask for odama, it's not on the menu, but usually available. A mix of beef, lamb mint, and spices.....stunning!

Just popped in for some food after a weekend of biking, had pizza and chips, pizza was one of the best pizzas iv had, chips nice a crispy and amazing friendly staff.
