Booked here for the ABBA Night. Turnt up at 7:30pm and got our table, we was put in the corner which we didn’t mind. On arrival to table we received a ‘set menu’ due to it being sold out. Having been sold out since earlier in the week we didn’t receive any notice of this, and the choices were very mediocre. Food came and was very average at best, the whole restaurant was chaos as the table we was given was someone else’s who got turnt away due to overbooking. Was our first night out since having a baby and we was very disappointed. Would defo not recommend to anyone for an event.

We went for the Abba tribute night. Was very unorganised, set menu with no food we liked which was not advertised and was only because it was fully booked. Selling bottles of Prosecco at £24 which is £6 in Tesco. Put on a cramped table in the corner which was supposed to be someone else’s and they got turned away because the restaurant over booked. We paid £70 per head and was nowhere near worth it, left after our food come out so was only there about 45 minutes.

We went to try one of the theme nights, which was Motown. Atmosphere was great. Food always good. It was a set menu £29.95 a head. I think was starter, main, side, naan and rice. If you were a vegetarian you could change your dish. Drinks are where the money is made. Very welcoming, friendly, good atmosphere, good entertainment, great food.

Foyaj miah is the host with the most. I've been coming to his restaurants for over 20 years. When Bengal nights opened it brought back the truly missed curry night's. An email dropped into my inbox announcing the return and we booked rhe whole family in for opening night. Since then, we haven't had Indian food anywhere else. The food is excellent, the service is impeccable, how foyaj remembers your favourites and drink prefence astounds me. Eating here is like being part of the family. I've been having a curry that's not even on the menu for years and it's a secret recipe I highly recommend the chicken achari. As long as foyaj is here we won't go anywhere else. Keep up the ggod work guys. Oh and his theme nights are a blast.

This was our second visit to this excellent Restaurant. Our friends have been regulars here and at the owner’s previous premises for many years. We just wish ‘Bengal Nights’ were nearer to where we live! We have been very impressed by the warm welcome that we receive. The owner is incredibly friendly and pleasant and keen for people to try special dishes newly on the menu. Everything that we have ordered has been perfectly cooked with fresh ingredients and served piping hot. You could not ask for more and the staff are exceptionally efficient. We are very much looking forward to attending a fundraising event at the restaurant in May in aid of great Ormond Street Children’s Hospital where 50% of the money taken will be donated to this superb cause. We cannot recommend this restaurant highly enough. We absolutely love going there. Thank you so much!

First visit since it reopened as Bengal Nights and we were impressed with the food and service.

Changed our takeaway to here little while ago and best thing we did. Food is fantastic. Loads of good chicken in the dishes. Tandoori king prawns are perfect. Always on time or slightly early. Food always hot on delivery.

Haven't been for a sit down for very long time but for our wedding anniversary thought we'd treat ourselves an happy we did 😁 was absolutely delicious 😋 great service place is so clean... reasonably priced too! Will return more soon! Thanku for our drink most appreciated 🥂

Absolutely fantastic food, had a meal in the restaurant and also takeaways. Every time the food has been amazing. Also the staff are so welcoming and friendly. Would highly recommend this place.

Have to say the best curry we’ve had in maldon! Food was superb cannot fault it at all the dhansaks are spot on! The consistency and flavours are perfect, the Irish coffee at the end was perfect and the staff are very attentive, and friendly and nothing was too much trouble, wish them all the very best with this venture we will definitely recommend and will be regulars cannot fault

The best curry in maldon, curry night is back and better than ever. Served with a smile and full of flavours. Chicken is juicy, lamb is tender and everything is full of flavour.

First takeaway from the new Bengal Nights in Heybridge Maldon and we were not disappointed. It is by far the best curry we have had in a long time. Super fast delivery and really tasty. Would recommend. We will def be ordering again.

First time at Bengal Nights and will defo be back. The food was delicious, my partner like hot curries and he had a lamb naga which he said was spicy but still tasty and the lamb was lovely. Service was great and staff very friendly. Well done Bengal Nights

Newly refurbished restaurant, looks so crisp and clean. Foyaj - the manager used to own a restaurant a few years ago and has pulled out all the stops for this new adventure! The food was as good as before, if not better!! Staff are ultra friendly and very helpful. I am so glad this restaurant has been rejuvenated and will definitely visit again on a regular basis. (I do recommend the Lamb Rezzala!!) Thanks all, see you all again soon

The only place in Witham, Maldon and Heybridge that serves paneer authentically. Will never stop using this takeaway now, best place for miles.

Love the Bengal Tiger, but last Friday was very disappointed. Delivery came but with no rice. Had to phone and get rice delivered whilst meal was put into the oven to keep warm. Never had a problem before. When it was delivered we had to pay another £5 plus. I did think they might have waived that being I was not at fault. What is not to understand about 2 Chicken Tikka Masala, two Pila Rice and two Peshwari Nann. Why would you order that without the rice? Owner said it wasn't on the order. Yes, I ordered that, it was not my error. I always order the same. We've decided not to use them anymore. Going elsewhere.

Had a very good dinner at Bengal Tiger... even recommended them to others on that same night, well let just say the meal was delish. And the service was pretty good too. Jai and the other dude (which I totally forgot his name now, I'm sorry dude) really served well. We were able to detect in a way that the meal we had to some extent (well, as far as that night went), was freshly made because we had a professional London based chef with us. And you can't fool this one. Lol. Anyhow, good meal and this review wasn't written because I was given a discount. I'm a certified Google local guide and its me duty to be honest. Enjoy!

Amazing. Simple pick up, in and out in under a minute. Looks very clean inside and I’ll definitely come to eat in at some point. Food tasted amazing and wasn’t greasy at all. Definitely recommend.

Excellent food and great service. The staff are efficient and very friendly...nothing is too much trouble. Extensive menu for meat eaters and vegetarians alike. Would definitely be got back especially for their Sunday Buffet. Will be one of my regular eateries

First time we have used the Bengal tiger as we have become disappointed by other take aways in the area. The meals we had were first class, lovely thick sauces, plenty of Chicken and portion sizes, really tasty! Delivered on time as well. We will definitely order again!

Ordered a takeaway and on the starters we ordered chicken Tikka, arrived just 3 pieces of chicken, no salad or mint sauce, I called the restaurant and advised that they were not willing.to return with the missing items as it was just salad.......disgusted...not returned ..

Have had 2 takeaways in the last few weeks , ordered different items each time and food has been the best ive tasted in a long time. Tastes fresh , sauces not heavy and meat tender and not over cooked. Highly recommended, have tried other indian restaurants in maldon and this is 100% better than any other.

Ordered a collection at 2139. Had it in my hands by 2149. Chicken makhani was beautiful. Rich and fruity. Pilau rice was fluffy and aromatic. Garlic nan, was fresh and a good size. Popadoms spot on. Will be ordering from here again!
