Good bar and food hall downstairs, with a music venue upstairs. Good selection of beers. Nice vibe and atmosphere.

First time here for us for a gig. Great rooftop bar. Overall superb venue

The perfect place for any occasion, especially a date!

Food was incredible from both vendors, I tried both in one sitting for review purposes only and definitely not because I am a big greedy boy who doesn’t know when to quit ! On top of service, music, and atmosphere the prices were incredibly cheap like so cheap I almost fainted but instead went back for more food. Don’t judge.

This place rocks, food and drink amazing and good AF options too. Plus the venue is ace, well worth a trip and a good central location.

Attended the Rival Consoles gig here last week, and honestly surprised I haven't been here before. Venue was a good size, had an excellent quality sound system and staff were all friendly. Drinks prices seemed to be reasonable and downstairs area looked to be very busy and food smelled great!

Finally dropped by Belgrave after listening to my friends rave about the pizza. Spoiler alert, it's decent. Firstly, I went early to queue for the pizza deal (2 for the price of 1). Here comes the main character of today's review. The server was completely out of it. The server was a female staff that has shoulder-length blonde hair. She was wearing a striped shirt. The service she provided was diabolical. They could have been having a bad day, who knows. But the audacity to disappear and "go for a break" after the failed service is insane. Firstly, I was on time for the pizza deal, and the queue was relatively short. But since she was seemingly spiritless, she wasn't keeping track of everyone's orders in front of me. My friends ordered before me. Another group was in front of me. Somehow she ended up serving the other group first. Since it was a mess, the clock struck 7 and I was not eligible for the offer. That's fine, i could have reached earlier innit. Secondly, when it was my turn to order, I placed an order for two SLICES of pizza. Thereafter i went to wait by the side. 15 minutes pass, and I go up front to ask for my food. She looked at me and said, "Your friends took the slices. I've passed it to them". I said no, they didn't. It's logically not even possible because a few of the others from the other group were still waiting for the same pizza I was waiting for. She proceeds to gaslight me. I was so confused. You know what's the best part? My friends ordered TWO PIES of pizza. In a box. Two full pizzas. How. Is that even possible that my two slices were taken by them. Anyway, she said, check it and ill give you the two pieces if they dont have it. I make my way to my friends and explained myself. Obviously they didn't have it. As I went back to the counter, I see her scrambling away. She made eye contact with me, it was not a coincidental break. Thereafter the only remaining staff was a guy backfacing all of us and making the pizzas. This went on for 10 minutes. I stood at the counter, waiting for someone to serve me. The guy making the pizzas said she's gone for a break. By then it had been 30 minutes and I was hungry asf. Then, the savior arrived. Joe. I'm so glad I got your name. Thank you for rectifying the issue. I explained the issue to Joe and he made sure I got my pizza. That one staff made sure that I will not visit Belgrave ever again. What a gem to the business.

This is a hidden gem in the centre of Leeds. It's a university students haven you can get pizza slices half price and a whole host have local beers and ales great value, great venue, great atmosphere.

Love the roof garden has a real beach bar vibe on a hot day

Frequented this bar more times than I can say and the pizza always bangs, the vibes are super sick, the staff are amazing and the atmosphere never fails to please!!! If you’re getting pizza then Robin is the guy you need to speak to, extremely friendly, polite and professional, the guy knows what you will want more than you will!!! Absolute legend and a credit to the organisation!!! Thank you robin for being so sound and making our experience even better! Can’t recommend this place enough!!!

Food awesome, top selection of food truck choices of pizza, wings and burgers. Lamb pizza off the charts. Often queues but good things come to those who wait. Great beer, good selection of seating options from beer keller style tables, to sofas to rooftop booths. Family friendly during the day. DJ appears to be in all days, good tunes so good vibes, laughter and chats for all. From IPA to cocktails so good drinks choices at reasonable prices. Gig venue upstairs, compact but perfectly formed. Been to both standing and seated gigs. Never had a sofa for a gig before. A revelation!

Awesome place to chill with friends or family

Great place to go for drinks but there’s a bouncer who wouldn’t let me back in when clearly wasn’t in a bad state and went for a smoke. Great staff other than that, just a bouncer with problems who shouldn’t be there which is a shame because dampens it. Would recommend, just don’t go outside when the guys having a bad day.

Andre and Robbie may have been the best service I’ve received. So kind and lovely, produced the best food I’ve had. INCRED pizza

Classic music venue, brilliant atmosphere

Laid back bar and venue in Leeds Ciy Centre. Good selection of beers, excellent food for a quick bite whilst on a night out. The upstairs venue is excellent, good high stage and seen a wide variety of acts play including The Fall, Terrorvision, Dinosaur Jr, Black Honey...

This place is AMAZING. Why it only has a 4.5 star rating has me very puzzled. It deserves the full 5. Best atmosphere, best pizza, and good student deals. Literally my fave place in Leeds. Have been here a million times and will be here a million more.

Gig! Lovely venue, good staff and reasonable prices in venue. As opposed to say the O2, where a smallish mortgage is required for a round. Anyway, IDER were fantastic. As were the support 👌🏻 Worth a trip, solid evening out.

Amazing music ! Electric atmosphere

Plant and Beef Patty was what we ordered… went in on a Sunday and the £5 for a patty was reasonable but maybe I won’t recommend for a £10. Also, veg one was good like melting cheese and saucy. Beef was not that great, more of salt and better cooked would have been good. Good place to hangout with friends. There’s a raised seating area in front of the photo booth that didn’t make sense since it’s just the table and the stools wasn’t too comfortable of a seating. A menu of the places on each table would have been nice or at least a link to a digital one if there is.

I’ve been coming here for years, never any problems and have been a loyal customer for a long time. Unfortunately last night we were refused entry, on the grounds that my friend was too intoxicated. This was completely false, younger drunk people were all let in. It made no sense. The male bouncer was so disrespectful, and completely abused his power laughing at us for questioning why we were refused entry. He could not provide an answer to this question, because there was none. Really disappointing when you’ve been coming to a place for years, with family and friends and hold good memories, to be treated in such a way.

I liked the drinks and the pizza. Lights were dimmed, there were candles on the table that made it romantic. The place had a roof garden that was an open area, but you have to take the stairs as there was no lifts available. Overal, I recommend this place.

The food, drinks, gigs, club nights, staff, decor, vibes all amazing. The student drinks deals are some of the best priced I’ve seen in Leeds. Always have an amazing time here.

Picked this place to eat when attending a concert,food was good but underwhelming, the online pictures promised something I just didn’t feel I got. I would go back but not if I had other options.

Was here for Live in Leeds. I never knew the music venue upstairs was as large as this. What a great venue.

Saw L'objectif and Human Interest during Live at Leeds. The Belgrave is a great venue to see a band, probably the perfect size, and a great place to have a beer and some food beforehand. Deservedly a Leeds institution.

enjoyed myself at belgrave on a friday night, had a good time as i have when i've been there before! the atmosphere on the terrace is fun and the pizza is always great the only issue i had was one that many people would call me a stick in the mud or a snowflake for but i just don't think it creates a particularly welcoming environment when one of the staff members have t-shirts with misogynistic "jokes" on them

I love coming here however my experience last night was awful. I left the rooftop to use the toilet and no one said anything or asked if I was coming back, once I returned, two bouncers were not letting me in as I didn’t give them my name, I was not aware of this rule and I tried to explain that I was with one friend and I needed to tell her I couldn’t get let back in however, the responses from them were extremely rude and they would not listen to me and were very arrogant and just strangely aggressive.

Bouncer wouldn’t let my friend in because he wore a Leeds united t shirt in Leeds. My friend respected this and took his Leeds united t shirt off in replace of a neutral, non sports t-shirt. The bouncer then decided to disrespect my friends mother and say he is not allowed in. There was no policy on the wall which he told us describing rules to do with a football t shirt.

Visited to see a band playing on 2nd floor. Wide selection of beers, mostly independent rather the usual choices. Event space was good, really good sound setup with a decent sized stage. Staff were friendly and helpful.

This was a superb venue for drinking, with a flashy vibe created by the prominent displays across the walls! These includes mere snippets and full posters, even backing the stylish counter. The rooftop bar is a lovely spot for drinking, where me and my friend had cocktails!

Went to see Bess Atwell here last week and the DJ downstairs could be heard throughout the her set. At no point did it seem like anyone from the venue tried to adjust the downstairs acoustics and the problem persisted throughout the set. Would avoid paying to see an artist here based on this and frankly if I was an artist I'd avoid too.

I didn't get any food there, but the place was great. Not the most stylish, not going to lie, but it's good for events. The bar was ok, pretty spacious rooms and the dim lights made it all more fun

A nice place to go have a quick bite or drink with a mate or even go on a date. The atmosphere makes the place yet the food still manages to stand out, I would highly recommend this to anyone in Leeds

Cool place great for small intimate gigs

Great place to meet friends, grab a drink and some food and enjoy the evening. Can get busy on weekends, but during the week there is usually available seats etc. they also offer student discount on some drinks which is great!

The atmosphere is very good!! The music and decoration are both great Especially the rooftop garden!!!! Perfect for gathering with friends to eat and drink!!! Never heard anything like it. Not allowed in my myself due to a safety policy. Arrived stone cold sober and had to wait for friends to be allowed in. An absolute joke!!!

Went here to watch the Nightbeats supported by The Trip Westerns in the venue upstairs but went for some pre gig drinks and something to eat .drinks were reasonably priced as was the food , quite a hip happening type of place , some of the furniture could do with replacing as stuffing was poking out of some of the seating down stairs. Toilets were clean but upstairs, the terrace looked nice but was rammed as it was a nice evening. The live venue was great the capacity is quite small which I quite like at some gigs up close and personal to the bands and the drinks were cheap most venues have your pants down £4 something for a pint 👍👍keep that up. The sound in there was great too . We had a great time it's one of my daughters frav place's and a hidden gem that when she introduces her friends to it love it too. Will be back for sure

Really good pizza for an amazingly affordable price, as a student who doesn't have a large amount of money to spend on going out it was a really nice surprise when my friend took me there. I went for 2 slices of margarita pizza, and he went for one margarita and one mushroom. The margarita pizza was lovely and surprisingly large. I am not a fan of mushrooms, but it did look like it was very nice. I sat on the sofas at the front which were very comfortable and had a nice view of the city. It felt very comfortable and the atmosphere was very relaxed. I got the food within a few minutes and it cost less than £10 for a couple of slices. The next time I go there I will try some different slices of pizza and will feedback on how nice they were.

Top choice for a lively drink. Good selection of beer, with some great pizza to go with it. The staff are lovely and the rooftop garden provides loads of comfortable, sheltered outdoor seating with decent tunes you can talk over playing in the background.

Visited this busy and lively bar at daughter's graduation day. Nice beers and friendly service. Pizza bar also looked good.

Didn't eat here (food did look and smell good) but a great place to have a drink.

Was served by a very moody/rude bartender on the roof garden, i was polite and tried to make conversation and had perfect manners and got nothing out of her, she poured my drink and passed it to me almost like she was angry. Turned her back as i was paying and when i said thank you she didn’t even acknowledge it and it seemed she had general bad manners. We stacked all the cups for her as she came to collect them later and she just grabbed them and walked away like we had done something wrong. Rest of the staff were lovely though.

Get the topped fries (meat version), good lord they're special! The service was friendly and quick and the atmosphere is always friendly and energetic. The function hall upstairs is spacious and the bar staff are always friendly.

Went on Monday night with my friends and had an amazing time being served by Asa Wright he really made our night fun and special and would go again purely for his good vibes 🤟

I came to belgrave with my friends to celebrate on Saturday night and whilst being there I was put in a scenario which was very inappropriate that I feel needs to be brought to your attention. Whilst being there I was forced to stay in a cubicle with two security guards around and one of you bar staff named Asa Wright. They accused me of making a mess on the floor( the floor was already filthy when I went in) Asa then tried to force me to clean it all up and said I was not allowed to leave until I did so. I feel extremely violated and felt like I was taken advantage of due to being put in that situation. I do not believe this is how anybody should be treated, especially by your own staff members. I hope you take this as an opportunity to educate your staff that this is not normal behaviour and that they need to treat customers with more respect.
