Beijing in Lisburn

This place should not be called a Chinese take away .. it is without doubt the worst Chinese I have ever eaten . In fact binned not eaten … raw pink sausages , bland friend rice with plastic chicken , cold chips and delivery 30 mins late … absolutely awful Never again … Di not order your take away from here it is really that bad ! And cost £45!!!

Excellent Night. My 65th birthday celebrations with family in a fantastic atmosphere, beautiful set-up, superb food and wonderful staff. Twelve hungry, jovial people from 16 to 68 descended into Win Win with great expectations (my husband and I try to visit when we can as this restaurant is our favourite for Asian food). As our family is a mixture of picky grandchildren, vegetarian and 'fill my belly' people, we had spoken to the staff when booking about particular likes and dislikes, a few 'special dishes' (Oysters and Battered Mushroom (?!) Yep I know.... But seriously, they want to put the mushrooms on the menu, they were so good and the extra taster of skewered mushrooms..my oh my, food for the Gods (if you like mushrooms)! Nothing was rushed (we all like to space out the courses, to allow for a refreshment (or two and btw, the cocktails are sooo good.) Like everything else the staff were more than accommodating and couldn't have been more helpful and friendly. The mains were plentiful, hot, super tasty and everyone's little food foibles were done to perfection. Not one person had a negative word to say (and between all of us, that was a first)! Fed, watered and entertained in a beautiful place surrounded by beautiful people. Thank you for putting up with us as we got louder (refreshments fault) and for nearly overstaying our welcome...it was such a great night we didn't want to let yous go home!!! Massive thanks to Winny, Lily, Monica and all the great staff (including the cocktail king barman) at Win Win. Twelve super happy people and especially one very happy 65 year old for being treated, by everyone, like the Queen. Do yourselves a favour, if you haven't already dined here, give it a go, you won't regret it.

Was open on Twelfth and had saw it in Facebook. When I arrived on a solo visit I realised it was same place, management and only name had changed. Glad there was a lift to get to it as it is upstairs. I was thirsty and ordered a magners cider bottle with ice. For starters I ordered salted chilli squid, only to be told the squid they had received was bad. A likely story. I ordered a king prawn version. About 5 prawns on some lettuce and fried onions and peppers. Was OK but nothing special. I ordered yeung chow fried rice and curry sauce. The rice was very poor. Very little ingredients and a small portion. Curry sauce had a skin on it. At around £17 pounds it was very expensive for all I had. And very poor quality. Staff are and lady owner was very pleasant. Pity about food. Lisburn deserves a good sit in Chinese. I will not rush back.

Great service from start to finish and the food was very tasty, especially the duck! Will definitely be back!

First dinner out in 11 months due to Covid restrictions but we had several takeaways from The Beijing during this time and promised ourselves we would dine-in as soon as possible. A wise decision. Excellent restaurant. A warm and friendly welcome, great big table to spread ourselves out at (absolutely hate tiny 2 person tables where there's no room for anything!). Drinks order taken and we settled into the large beautifully decorated room. Great table layouts with booths, circular (with glass lazy Susan) and long tables for large groups of diners. Great selection on the menu and any queries were answered by the happy staff. We like to 'pace' ourselves when dining out, a few glasses of wine and a break between courses. This was not a problem to the staff. Just let them know when we were ready. We had prawn toast and duck spring rolls for starters. For mains I had my usual Lemon Chicken, Noodles (with no onions, thank you) and a great big portion or crispy fried green cabbage to mix on my noodles. Yum. Hubby had the whole sea bass filets with chilli and noodles. Now I am not really a fish person, but I had to have a try and the sea bass was quite nice, for it being fish! The service was attentive but unobtrusive, and the girls always had a smile. Excellent atmosphere, food and service. Highly recommend. Thank you Jade, Winnie and Kayley.

Had a really lovely dinner at Beijing, duck was done to perfection and gorgeous salt and chilli chicken. A quiet night but great service. Lovely gin.

Whilst staying in Lisburn visited this restaurant. The lady serving was very attentive. Food very tasty and plentiful. Thoroughly recommend.

We had a wonderful meal at Beijing Restaurant in Lisburn on Saturday night. Staff were very helpful and polite and the food was amazing. Would highly recommend it.

We are regular order and collect customers of the Bejing. Last night we had another excellent meal. The food is fresh and perfectly cooked. The staff are very helpful.

Tonight we decided to grab a takeaway after grocery shopping. Hubby ordered mushroom chowmein, i got honey chilli chicken & chips plus we got a chicken satay starter between us. Drove home, we live 5 mins away, put plates in oven, ate the starter from the dish then dished out the mains. Chowmein was dry & tasteless but OH mixed the satay sauce in & ate it. I was only able to eat the chips. The chicken was DISGUSTING & inedible.... unless you enjoy a pile of congealed jelly surrounding your chicken & no sauce. Rather than go public, my preference is to give a business the opportunity to put right a complaint. So I phoned the Beijing & the woman who served us answered. Apparently I should have known this would happen as it always happens if you don't dish it up straight away, therefore i must have left it in the carton for a long time. I explained that it was served as fast as it could have been. She then said I should have ordered the sauce & chicken separately!!!!! If this happens surely they should either serve it separately or take it off the menu!!!! I always order the same thing from a Chinese and I have never had an issue before. After I told her that was an unacceptable response & i would expect to be offered a free dish next time, she said she could offer 10% off!!!! No way...I paid for food I could not eat so I will NEVER be back.

Went to this restaurant for a meal on a Monday evening it started off ok but after having our starter we waited over an hour for our main course. My meal was ok though not good value for what it cost. My husband order a fillet steak and when it came it was definitely not a fillet steak as I know them. It was so tough he took about five minutes to try to chew a bit. He decided to leave it and go home hungry. When he complained to the Chinese waitress he was told that sometimes happened and just took it away. When he complained to the manager she was not very pleasant and begrudgingly took £8 off bill. We will definitely never be back and could not recommend

Came here with my family on a Wednesday night for Eat Out to Help Out. Staff checked temperatures on arrival and were very friendly and accommodating. Good selection of food and drinks on offer, food was brought out very quickly after ordering (no more than 15 minutes). Food was nice and enjoyed by all, nothing spectacular but exactly what you’d expect from a decent Chinese. Like most Chinese or Indian restaurants, it is quite expensive because mains and sides are all ordered separately, but I believe the quality of the food reflected this is most cases. I guess without Eat Out to Help Out, it would have been a little on the “too expensive” side. One thing I will say, is that the atmosphere isn’t the best, but this may be because we were there on a Wednesday night. I knew this used to be well known for being a lovely, upscale restaurant but I didn’t get that vibe. It felt more like the kind of place you drop in, grab some food and quickly leave, not the kind to sit and have a relaxing meal. I feel like a bit more of an effort could be made with the decor. I can tell it was once beautiful inside as it has excellent potential but boxes and cleaning products sitting around on spare tables as well as cheap neon lights and the odd piece of tat isn’t the best. Small changes could be made to make this place look really smart! Also, fans or something to help with the heat would be perfect! Overall, a nice meal out, and I’ll try it again during the weekend in the hope that there’ll be a better atmosphere!

waited an hour on food to be delivered. as soon as I opened the bag it was stone cold. I phoned stright away,i was told it shouldn't be cold as it's just left the shop. so basically trying to make me out to be lying. Then the phone went silent. about a minute after someone read out my order, i said yes that's what we got. she said next time you order you can get 10% discount. I have never phoned and complained about food in my life. I have been so let down with the service. no apology . just said they will offer 10% discount. complete waste of money, the kids didnt want to eat cold food. I still cant believe they tried to make me out to be lying , even tho the food was sitting in front of me cold, I was told it shouldn't be cold as it's just left the shop. we will never ever order out of this place again.

So ordered a home delivery at 7pm for my son and his friends (who were leaving at 9pm). I ordered on the phone as had some special requirements I couldn’t log via Just Est. Just Eat said delivery time was 45-55 mins. By 8:05 the food hadn’t arrived but she said it’d left and be with me in a few minutes. By 8:25 the food still hadn’t arrived so I called again. She said the driver would be 5 mins, and I said really though?? You said that 20 mins ago and my son’s friends are leaving in half an hour. She then started shouting at me that when I called she had told me it would be an hour to hour 15 delivery time. I proceeded to say that she never gave me a time as I had the timings from Just Eat, and then she screamed ‘well you have a short memory as it was the first question you asked’ and wouldn’t stop shouting at me!!! I was absolutely stunned, never has any restaurant spoken this way to me or anyone I know, she was out of control! I simply said you are very rude and cancel the food. She replied ‘I am not cancelling the food, it’s £60 worth and you’ll take it’ I just put the phone down. The delivery man arrived at 8:45 and as I didn’t answer the door, so he called, I felt guilty and went out and they hadn’t even told him I cancelled the food. Poor man, I felt so sorry for him as he was so sweet. But, if they were telling the truth that my food was en route at 8:05 then the food had been in the car for a good 40 mins. It was nearly 2 hrs also since I’d order the food for 4 teenage boy’s who were starving! Shame on them for their abuse, their lies and their service!!! Be warned about them!!

Fully appreciate that NYE not best time to order, but ordering at 17:25 and being told that it would be 10 to 15 minutes, did not want to put them under pressure as it was 25th attempt before they answered , so said it would be collected in 20 minutes. Only thing I can say is tepid! Not cold, but not a mile off! Not acceptable!

Despite very busy restaurant on Saturday after Christmas, very attentive, friendly staff, excellent service and delicious food. We will definitely be back soon!

Love the staff here - always friendly & attentive, even under pressure from takeaway orders. But what's this? A new menu on a plastic laminated sheet, instead of the leatherette-bound A4 book with poly pocket pages? Menu has been reduced, but the prices have not! My favorite starter of hot & sour soup has in a month jumped from the already steep £4.80 to £6.00 - that's a 25% increase! That said, the soup is one of the best I've ever tasted (take's your breathe away, unlike some bland offerings elsewhere), but come on, Beijing - some of the trendy city centre Belfast Asian Fusion/ Chinese/ Thai restaurants wouldn't be any more expensive than you. This is only Lisburn after all!

Four friends arrived on Saturday evening at 6pm. Order quickly taken by pleasant member of staff. Starters arrived quickly but at 6.20 we were informed that they had ‘no boiled rice’ and it would be a further 20 minutes. Although we were heading for a concert starting at 7.30 we agreed to wait. However when our food didn’t arrive by 6.40 we became anxious and twice reminded staff we were still waiting. Unfortunately when it still hadn’t arrived by 7.00 we got up to leave just as the food was being wheeled out. We explained that it was too late. Then the fun bit - we were told (as if they were doing us a favour) that we wouldn’t be charged for the main course but would have to pay for the starters (which we were happy to), the tap water £2 and the wine. We pointed out that most of the wine, although poured, was still on the table awaiting our main meal. To enable us to leave on time we agreed to pay for our starters (not an issue) but grudgingly the water a third of the wine. I appreciate that things can go wrong but this was not handled professionally and has left a bitter taste - will never return!

I was highly disappointed by the rudeness of the blonde woman at the desk. She took money off us and one of our main courses and continued asking for more money for a mistake that they made! A disgrace. Will NOT be returning to this chinese ever again.

Restaurant had very welcoming staff member but that was the only benefit. The food was of poor quality, cold and burnt. I would not eat here again.

Place was so cold we had to eat meal with coats on and that was after we were left waiting for nearly an hour for it to arrive. Staff could not be bothered ,food over priced ruined our Saturday night.

Absolutely lovely meal, went with my mum who had never been before although I have been a few times before.

I will never ever go back here! The food was was bland dry stodgy the chips cold and wrinkled it was like getting a Chinese in a 1970 bomb bunker! At least that’s where they got there ingredients. Plus what was worse was that it was really expensive, 2.10 for a tin of coke, which they just give you! And 9.95 for beef in black bean that’s with out rice or anything and you could break the windows with the beef! Horrible food! Seriously stay away! I’m raging with myself for putting myself through that! It’s just used for the bar for the locals. Think we where the only family eating. It’s any wonder! RANK!

If you like your Chinese food cooked from packet or bag to plate then you’re on to a winner here ... frozen chips and chicken strips bbq ribs which looked like honey cooked ribs ( not cooked in honey... just poured over) served by short tempered obnoxious staff muttering obscenities under their breath because we dared to complain .. we will be back for sure.... as soon as the place changes ownership and staff. Avoid at all costs.. expensive nonsense.

This is one of the nicest Chinese meals we have had in a long time, no MSG in sight. What really impressed us was their attitude to, and care taken to peanut allergy.

Imagine waiting 2 hrs for a delivery only to be told he's on his way....I'm clearly not the only one having this experience. Even just eat reviewers at venting their rage at this shoddy service. Why operate the service if you can't deliver, it's pathetic. Food arrived cold even after the ridiculous wait. Avoid at all costs...it would be quicker to grow and eat your own rice

Hadn't had a sit down meal in here for maybe two years. In on Friday eve - restaurant quite cold, service run by kids, and the food like 1970s Chinese menu. Absolutely gloopy and tasteless. Chinese restaurants need to catch up, you simply cannot continue to serve thick sauces over generic boiled chicken. Never, never again will I eat or do takeaway from here.

This Restaurant is a Joke we placed an order for 6 lunchtime specials @ £6.95 each and they managed to get every order wrong seriously 6 wrong orders , the food was horrendous i would recommend you to try a different restaurant . honestly stay away from this place not even offered to fix the order .

Big room to fill but on a Saturday night, it was well over half full. Shown to a table having not book as had been before and did not need to. Service was slightly slow but the head waitress did warn us, Food was tasty and freshly cooked. Neither of us had chips suspect they may be frozen by the look of some going past. Will return

I’ve been ordering takeaway delivery from Beijing for the past year, and we decided to actually book a table and eat in the restaurant midweek evening. We were not disappointed with the food or service. Staff are friendly, efficient, they care for the customer. The food is excellent. The restaurant inside is spacious And extremely clean , however it was very very cold! That’s why I didn’t give 5 star. My mum and my daughter were shivering throughout their meal. I was cold too but just endured it. My mum has refused to go back to eat there due to how cold it was! Maybe Beijing you could turn the heating up a bit, especially mid week, when it isn’t packed. I know businesses are trying to cut costs but it was extremely cold the night we were there. Apart from that it’s the best Chinese in the area, and I still love my weekly deliveries.

Waited ages for the food felt like the staff would be rather be somewhere else. Food came and instantly regretted going badly presented small portions that were every dry. Finished the meal and asked the man if we could pay separately and his response was ‘yeah you can do the maths yourselves’ and handed us a calculator. Wouldn’t be back and would highly recommend not to visit.

Tonight we went here... We're on a diet & really wanted a treat... But really disappointed.

Got a delivery costing £20 for reheated food got the honey chilli chicken and the sauce was like jelly and the chips were hard everything was Cold very dissapointed as we really enjoyed it the last time...

Food took over an hour to arrive, driver asked for extra money as he thought we lived 3 miles away. We live 2.6 miles away. We rang the restaurant to let them know. The delivery driver then rang my girlfriend who made the order and shouted at her aggressively.

Absolutely outstanding service as myself and my partner ate in yesterday. Couldn’t fault anything about our time there food was the best I think I’ve had from a Chinese such friendly staff and will definitely be returning.

We were seated without any problems and shown a set menu which included soft drinks. Prawn crackers arrived but the soft drinks didn't, even though the jug of cordial we were paying for arrived promptly. Staff had to be reminded about the soft drinks at least 3 times.

This is easily the best Chinese in Lisburn! Hadn’t had a takeaway delivery from here in a while, and tonight did not disappoint! Food was fresh,hot and arrived within 45 minutes which is good for a Saturday night food delivery from any eatery in Lisburn! My daughter and I loved their chicken Chow Mein tonight. We got chicken fried rice too, and it was delicious. Will be ordering again next weekend.

The food was superb, the staff were nice we go there a LOT!!! I would recommend beef in black pepper sauce.

Couple of years ago had a bad delivery experience. But seeing the best reviews recently have been due to people sitting in we ventured in, and received one of the best Chinese meals we’ve had in years.

Friday night with friends spent in comfortable surroundings. Well priced and extensive menu nicely presented, efficient service throughout the meal with hot and delicious food.Rating would have been higher except aircon blowing directly down on table and a little bit on the chilly side. Other than that we would definitely be back

Visited early on a friday night, 5pm. Just us and 8 other people dotted about. Plenty coming and going picking up takeaways. Served promptly and very friendly staff. Food delicious, quick, hot. Only complaint, companions sweet and sour quite small portion, only six pieces of chicken, maybe because from set menu.

Delivery Special Fried Rice ordered with curry sauce. No curry sauce and when rang to ask for curry sauce was advised the delivery driver was busy!

Excellent food. Staff went out of their way to provide an alternative Chinese style Christmas dinner which was delicious. Very attentive and efficient staff. They even made us a cocktail which wasn't on the menu. Definitely be back soon!

Ordered through just eat and added it the notes no veg in both thr meals. They both came with veg so this was disappointing. The food wasnt great ive had a lot better. The only good thing about here was delivery was quick. Wouldn't order again

Este lugar ha tenido algunas críticas mixtas. Todo lo que puedo decir es que nuestra experiencia fue muy buena. Era un lunes por la noche y era muy tranquila, de hecho éramos la única mesa, aunque otras tres partes llegaron después que nosotros.

La comida aquí es normal, nada especial. Es demasiado caro aquí por la calidad de la comida. Patatas fritas son sin duda congelados. También el tiempo que les toma para preparar la comida es de risa, mis órdenes son siempre pequeña y me imagino que rápido y fácil de preparar. El personal no tiene ni idea de cómo ofrecer servicio al cliente de calidad. En una ocasión pedí rollitos de primavera vegetales para llevar y tenía la insatisfacción de crudo en carne, soy vegetariana y me repelidas. Me quejé en su página de Facebook en el calor del momento y bastante cambiaron mi comida, sin embargo, una de las mujeres me dijo en forma bastante grosera de borrar mi comentario de su Facebook, que me pareció muy poco profesional, la verdad. De todos modos, resolvieron que les dio una segunda oportunidad. Hoy fui de nuevo el 12 de julio y uno de los miembros del personal era llevar una camiseta de Irlanda del Norte t! ! ! Ahora no estoy políticamente sesgado en ninguna forma, pero cualquier propietario de negocios que operan en Irlanda del Norte debería tener el sentido común de absolutamente Nunca permita que personal llevar camisetas que podrían ser vistos por los clientes como políticamente o religiosamente ofensivo! Especialmente en un día como el 12 de julio cuando las tensiones políticas tienden a ser resaltados! Totalmente inaceptable dentro de cualquier negocio, especialmente cuando frente al público en un ambiente de hospitalidad. De todos modos tras notar lo caro de la factura era para todos los que pedimos y tomar un obsceno cantidad de tiempo a preparar (tomó un extra de 10 - 15 minutos para añadir una bañera de salsa de curry a nuestra orden! ! La chica) y llevando la camiseta - también insultos excesivamente en frente de los clientes que me decidí a escribir otro comentario en su página de Facebook, sólo para descubrir que se ha prohibido a publicar! !

The occasion was my sister-in-law's fiftieth. A good twenty people were present and the staff were well organised and welcoming.We were seated and the head waitress came over and explained how things would run and managed out expectations of time. Everything was run exceptionally smoothly. The food was high quality, hot and abundant. The staff were very attentive.The Beijing made it an evening to remember and to treasure. We have just returned from what was supposed to be a quick family dinner at Bejing and have agreed it will be a long time before we return, if at all! We have been eating in this restaurant for years, since it first opened, but in the last couple of years it has gone down hill so badly that we haven't visited as often. Tonight we were put at a table which hadn't been set up, we ordered 2 starters and also a basket of prawn crackers (which used to be complimentary but not now), about twenty minutes later the starters arrived but we still had no cutlery and had to ask for the prawn crackers to be brought. There was only 3 other tables occupied during this time so staff could not be described as being rushed off their feet. Eventually the cutlery and prawn crackers arrived and we were able to eat our starters. There wasn't too big a time gap between the starters and the mains, and as the waitress set down my sons chicken nuggets and chips I asked if we could have some red sauce and salt. We waited and still they did not arrive, eventually we saw her heading towards us with both in hand, but a man at another table asked her for red sauce and she went over and handed the bottle to him and then came to our table with just the salt. I said that we had also asked for red sauce and she said we could have it when the other table was finished with it! We had to patiently wait until it was passed around the other table and then handed over to us. One bottle of red sauce in the whole restaurant is a joke! Also a nicer touch would be to put it in small individual dishes like it used to be. Generally the food was nice although they have changed the chicken nuggets and my son had to spit some out into his napkin because he said the chicken was stringy. Also I hate the way the soft drinks are poured from plastic bottles, they are nearly always flat. We were served by 3 different waitresses during the meal and there was just a feeling of chaos and staff just not attentive enough. Would hate to see what it would be like if all the tables were occupied, the chef/cook would just not be able to cope.

Had a lovely meal here last night with my wife and son staff were great nothing was a problem to them service was quick not rushed but plenty of time to enjoy between courses there was a steady stream of customers all well catered for will definitley go back soon

Excellent as always. We find the food excellent. Staff friendly and good selection. Well located are decor good.

Waited two hours for delivery, I ordered soup, duck and pancakes to start and sweet and sour Cantonese style sweet and sour chicken with noodles along with sweet and sour king prawns with chips and fried rice. When the food came I was charged an additional pound for delivery after already paying £30.50 online. When the food came we tried to eat the duck first which was similar to wood chippings, moving on swiftly to the mains we found the cold rice and chips were completely inedible and the chicken and prawns actually bounced on the plate, surprisingly the rubber texture carried through to the bite and was unable to pass the palate. Very upset I phoned the restaurant requesting a refund for the completely inedible food, the owner responded saying I had to call him back on his landline as I had called his personal number (that he had called me from to confirm address) upon calling him back on his landline I was instructed to bag the food up and bring it to the restaurant for inspection before they would consider a refund. I scoffed and replied that I had ordered a takeaway as I didn't want to leave the house and I wouldn't want the embarrassment of returning food to a restaurant, I questioned what the food could be like when it was already two hours since ordering and another 40 minutes to get ready and drive to lisburn surely he could understand what it must be like. He said he was too busy to send a driver to collect the food or replace it and refused a refund. I would recommend eating flip flops before wasting your money on this muck or experiencing such horrific customer service.

The service is always impeccable, the food is always perfect and it's a beautiful place to be. We love eating here

Great friendly restaurant with fantastic food, freshly prepared. The staff are friendly and welcoming, they do a great value lunch box take away for office staff, well priced and freshly made.

On Grand National day we had a party and after the race decided to order food from several different take aways to suit everyone's requests. In total we ordered food from seven different restaurants at 6.45pm. six of them delivered their food by 7.45pm. All except Beijing, which my wife ordered from. We started to think the order had been rejected so we called them at 8.30pm and they told us they had the order and would deliver. It arrived at 9pm.Over an hour after all the other restaurants and over two hours after it was ordered. Their response to this was to offer a 20% discount. We decided that was pretty pitiful and rejected their offer, choosing instead to post here what a shockingly poor delivery service was on offer. 2 and a quarter hours to wait for a take away is completely unacceptable when six other Lisburn restaurants managed to deliver within an hour! Many of them would have offered free service for slow service too!. Our advice with the Beijing is don't bother ordering food because you'll be lucky to get it on the same day. It wasn't even that good when it eventually did arrive. Really disappointing for a restaurant that used to be really good.

Food was fine but the service from the kitchen was really poor. For a party of 9 we had 2 starters didn't arrive until all the others had finished and 4 main courses didn't arrive either until the others were about finished and they had to be reordered. Don't think I'll be rushing back. They seem more interested in the take away trade. Poor customer care.

This is the 'quality' of the sweet and sour chicken takeaway we received this evening. The chicken had been reheated and and was disgusting. As for the sauce...the picture says it all.

We found this place through a friend with a mad craving for sweet and sour one lunch time in work. We have visited loads of times since at lunch time. They do a brilliant lunch time special. Food is fresh, extremely tastey and excellent service.Will definitely be back!!

We've had the second carryout in the last few weeks and really enjoyed it! Super tasty food and good service! There's a bit of a wait but it's well worth it! Nicest honey chilli chicken I've tasted in a long time.

Had the misfortune to go for takeaway on a Tuesday night when the nearby Welcome is closed. Ordered sweet and sour chicken balls and the chicken balls were so overcooked as to have the consistency of bullets. The meat inside was pretty awful also, didn't taste like chicken breast even. At least this trip reinforces how good the Welcome is. Beijing is a place to be avoided at all costs.

Really disappointed as I have picked a delivery up in the past and it was grand but this time I asked for it to be delivered.Over and hour to get here and I only live up the road less than half a mile.Complete order was freezing and when I rang to complain I was told that as the order didn't include any sauce it goes cold quicker. I told them that I would still expect it to be warm. I was then told I could have a 10% discount on next order. When I said that wasn't acceptable I was told that he couldn't do anything more. How is this acceptable when the whole meal was cold.

Had a lovely experience today, we had a lovely American waiter who was very tentative to all our requests made our dining experience here very enjoyable. Will be back again

Over an hour n ten minutes I waited. When it came the rice was cold. The chicken was burnt and the (frozen) chips were barely blanched. And not very hot. I will not be back

Great restaurant but the take away proves that they do great food as it arrives home as good as if you have just sat down in the restaurant.

Went in tonight, started off impressed with the good value special menu, food was fine but service was extremely slow (we were there for over 2hours) with a 6&2 year old, it made for a stressful night trying to keep them entertained, there was only 5 tables eating in and all had long waits, one table had to tell the waitress 3times in a row that they had not finished and to leave their plates alone, although the takeaway food was coming out regularly, we jokingly said we should have phoned and ordered our food and get it delivered to our table. The service was that slow we didn't even get our tea/coffee which was included in the meal deal, but then to get charged over £7 for service, this was ridiculous, we had 5adults and the 2 small children, definitely would not recommend if u have small children or dont have all night to wait on your food. Will not be back!

Without a doubt a lovely chinese. Been plenty times this year. The peking sauce is like nothing I've ever tried, delicious! The curry itself I would pass on but there are loads of options including daily specials both lunch and early bird. There is also a four course Sunday menu for £10.95pp it's exceptional value for money. It does be slow in serving if there's more than 4 tables occupied but give it a try.

Decided to visit here with a colleague after he had visited on a previous trip. Very unassuming from the outside, you wouldn't even think it was there with being located above the shops. Surprised by how large the dining room was once we were upstairs, nice setting, a good wine list and a varied selection of dishes available. We settled on one of the set menus which was excellent value and the food was very tasty indeed. A great way to finish off a hard days work. Would definitely visit again if in the area.

Really enjoyed our meal last night. Four people sharing four starters and four mains. Good food and good service. Selected a menu for a big birthday party coming up next month - can't wait!

My husband and I quite often call in here for dinner after work, we usually opt for the 2 courses for £14.95. We have been a couple of times recently and have only had good experiences. Food tasty, staff very pleasant and not bad value. We rarely order takeaway, we would usually ring and collect it ourselves, however we ordered a takeaway on Monday evening - it came within half an hour, very nice delivery man and the food was still hot and tasty. Maybe it's like everywhere else, you get good days and bad days, but so far I have nothing negative to say.

Just thought I would write a review to say how much we love this Chinese, because people only ever write reviews when they have a bad experience. I would say we order at least once a week from Beijing and there is an hour wait but it's only because they are so busy, and totally worth it! Wouldn't get out of an other Chinese and the staff have gotten to know us!

Worst customer service experience I have came across in along time. So disappointing as I am always keen to support local businesses. The Manager didn't have a common courtesy to speak to me about the issue of a 2 hour timeline for a delivery. After phoning after an hour we were told that it would be at least another hour - this was not pointed out to us when we initially ordered. Cancelled the order...a ruined Saturday night and will not use again!!! Shame on you Beijing.

Decided to take the children (7+4) out for my 40th birthday. Slow service on both drinks and food turned the experience a little sour.Had to request the bill from the till personally as the last course was taking too long to even be offered, sorry kids, no ice cream today.On payment noticed that we had been given the Valentines menu some 60% more expensive than the Sunday buffet that we were hoping to have eaten from. We will not be eating here of from here again.

We decided to give this restaurant a go as we are residents of Lisburn for 30 years. Service was slow. The food was nice what spoils this place is the Chinese owner manager running it All the staff seem scared of her. I did not like the wait as they were busy dealing with take always. The food was served on 1970,s push along trollies. The reason we will not be back is that we were embarrassed as a waitress came rushing towards us as we were leaving ( on instruction from the Chinese owner/Manager) with our payment envelope and said you have not paid and opened the envelope to find £4 in coins. We informed her we had paid and that was their tip. Which was well deserved to the waitress. Not a great atmosphere at all place was cold and shabby.

Thought it appropriate to provide some direct feedback to the restaurant and its delivery service. Ordered a takeaway and was advised that it would be 45 minutes. After 2 follow up phone calls it arrived 1 hour 30 minutes from ordering. When it did eventually arrive, it was stone cold. Do not use the delivery service! I look forward to a response from the management of the restaurant to determine how it took so long and why it was cold on arrival.

Ordered three separate takeaway meals. All very tasty and service most efficient. Reasonably priced as well.

Went for a family meal with grandparents and our 2 young kids. Went early at half 5. Ordered meal and got starter at 5.50pm, can't fault the starter. Waited half an hour (6.20) and our main didn't come so I asked the waitress. Waited to 6.45 and still no food, again asked to speak to a manager who never came, at 7pm we had enough, 3 year old was too hungry and tired and 10month baby was ready for sleeping after sitting in a high chair for an hour and a half. We decided to leave at 7.05pm as food never arrived. No apology and no attempt to talk to us. No eye contact from staff even when we were sitting right in front of the bar. Waitresses too busy talking and had no clue how to serve there customers properly. When my husband tried to pay for starter they didn't even know where the bill was. Would have been quicker to stay at home and order take away!

Visited on Christmas eve. The service was a bit slow but we hadn't booked and they were very busy and we got a table that we asked for so really cannot complain. Other than that it was an excellent night the staff are so friendly and would get you anything you needed. Winnie certainly makes the place and makes each visit worth while. Would deffinatly go back as the food is gorgeous atmosphere is great and each time we go we are not disappointed. If you are looking a Chinese restaurant to eat in, in lisburn then this is one of the places to go.

Eaten from here plenty of times & it's been constantly good. Some restaurants do dodgy looking chicken in the curries, here has always been proper. The satay sauce is very tasty. Take away opens at lunchtime on Sunday's so perfect for hangovers!

First mistake was not turning back and walking out when we arrived after seeing that there were only 2 other tables of diners in what is a fairly large restaurant on a Saturday night at 8 p.m. Our party of 4 ordered a bottle of wine & 2 pints of draught beer – both beers were sent back as they had a bad taste and the head on the them was more like a foam scum – they replaced them with bottled beers without question.Of the 4 main meals ordered 2 were completely inedible and went back to the kitchen intact. The Beef Fillet in Black Pepper Sauce was as lump of rubbery gristle. The Szechuan Chicken was pre-cooked sliced chicken in what I can only describe as tasteless clear slime with dried chili flakes through it and it was obvious that the chicken was added to the sauce afterwards as it was cold inside and smelt off.The other 2 meals,Shredded Chili Chicken & Sweet and Sour Chicken ordered were partially eaten – It was hard to tell if the chicken pieces in these meals had been reheated or kept warm for considerable time as they were dried out, hard and some could barely be cut with a knife.Who I presume was the manager took the price of the fillet beef off the bill but insisted on charging us for the inedible Szechuan chicken and also did not take into account the 3 portions of rice & 1 portion of noodles at £9.80 which were mostly left uneaten as we had no palatable main meals to eat with them. She said the best she could do was to speak to the chef about my complaint regarding the Szechuan chicken to which I replied, you do not need to speak to the chef you need to get rid of him!This is probably the worst food in any restaurant I have ever tasted – please don’t waste your time money and possibly your health in this place.

I used to love this place, but the last few times I've ordered, items have been missing. Furthermore, the quality of food seems to be going downhill drastically. Tonight the curry sauce was missing from the order and the chips were raw inside. Won't be going back I'm afraid.

Three of us went for dinner on Sunday, 4 courses of £10.95. Great value, choice of soups, then starters and mains followed by tea or coffee.

the food here is lovely we have ate here several times. the menu isn't that big though and some items are expensive for the amount of food that is served. But we have always enjoyed the food and the staff are friendly.

We have eaten "in" the Beijing many times and in recent times have taken advantage of free Home delivery (within 3 Miles) We ordered food from knowledgeable staff member who repeated back order and confirmed price. Also confirmed delivery 20 Minutes.I had Crispy Aromatic (for 2) Duck from Starter Menu and my wife ordered Large Young Chow Fried Rice.The order was delivered by friendly member of staff 15 Minutes later.The food was piping hot and received with FOC Prawn Crackers and was delicious.Have previously availed of other dishes from extensive Menu and have never been disappointed.

Went out for birthday treat and was pleasantly suprised that they provided an early bird menu which had a great selection of starters and main dishes all at a value price. Food was delicious and with generous portions. Very friendly and attentive staff. Will return.

I highly recommend this restaurant both from the decor point of view and also the food. The restaurant is spacious and comfortable and staff are excellent and very attentive. You are sure of a good meal here

We preordered a takeaway at the weekend and were told 20mins. So we waited 30mins before going to collect. However once at the restaurant it was a further 45mins before my food was ready with no apology or explanation even when I queried the delay and it cost £23. While I was waiting the staff continued to take telephone orders and 2 people came back to complain food was missing from their orders. The quality of our food was poor. This is not the first time I have had to wait for food in the Beijing but it will definitely be the last. The Bejiing needs to decide if it is a takeaway or a restaurant as it clearly cannot cope doing both !!! Lisburn has loads of Chinese takeaways, so save yourself the hassle and try one of those

We took Maureen aged 85 for her birthday meal here . The Sunday Special 4 course meal for £10.95 was excellent value and had excellent soups + appetisers + main courses + coffee.Their barbecue ribs were meaty and melted off the bone; their hot and sour soup is the best in Northern Ireland by far and their main courses were varied and a wide enough choice to suit all. They also do a good red wine for £12.95.Service was attentive - birthday cake was served and the tune played.We will be back

This is not my first review of this restaurant, as it is one of my local favorites. After a gap of six months, we have made up for it, visiting twice a month since June. The place is both modern & traditional, if you know what I mean - but lately they have added some new dishes like udon noodles to the old favorites in what is a pretty comprehensive menu. Last night was made especially enjoyable for a birthday treat by regular staff members Winnie, Lilly & Mary. Many thanks, girls - we always feel at home here.

had a take away this evening. The noodles tasted cheap and watery, the chilli honey chicken had no taste at all and the satay sauce tasted like warm hp sauce. We have eaten in the restaurant before and it was lovely but tonight it was disgusting. It went in the bin. A waste of £20. Wont be back. The delivery man almost delivered to my neighbours house. I wish he had of.
