Absolutely delicious. I had the seafood linguine which had at least 6 large prawns and 8 mussels in a beautiful light sauce and just enough chilli and garlic. My friend has the gnocchi with sage butter and candied walnuts which was also delicious. Would recommend to anyone.

So happy we chose this gem of a restaurant to celebrate my husbands 60th birthday whilst on holiday. Beautifully presented & welcomed with a friendly smile. The menu offered unique daily specials so imagine the work that goes into the planning and preparation! The food was absolutely amazing! We had homemade bread and garlic aioli and oysters. For the main we all had Sunday lunch (2 had chicken 1 had pork) they were all delicious. This was served with plenty of fresh steamed vegetables and cauliflower cheese. This has to be the first time we've managed to eat a full Sunday lunch, but we didn't want to leave a morsel. The gravy alone was worth an award. For dessert we had creme brulee, Eton mess and a brownie. And again, ate the lot! We also had a lovely bottle of wine to accompany the meal. So we expected after all this delicious food, lovely setting and great service that we would be paying a lot for it, and would of been happy to. However we were surprised to find it was VERY reasonable. Thank you Beach House for a lovely experience. We'll be back. And I genuinely hope this review helps people decide to pay you a visit.

Food was simply top class, service exceptional too. Only negative (which is at a push) is they don't have local beer or cider on draft. A rattler or a local IPA would have made it a 10/10. Highly recommend the roast

Visited this place for the first time in years. I remember when it was a cafe 20 years ago. It’s been a number of different food offers and now a cool little restaurant. Didn’t really know what to expect, but was blown away by how lovely the whole experience was. Really friendly staff. Nice drinks selection. Menu is focussed and that’s a good sign - they do good food and chose their ingredients carefully. I had a few oysters to start. They were amazing- so much better than others I’ve had locally. My family stole some of them (they don’t normally like oysters!). Also had some bread and aioli - really good garlic hit. Mains - the others all went with the seafood linguine. It came with lots of prawns and muscles. It was excellent- the tiny amount they shared with me. I had a venison burger which was on special. And it was indeed very special. I wouldn’t normally order a burger, but I’d been surfing and was so hungry. Wonderful bacon, cheese, salad, brioche bun. Rare meat. The others demanded a bite and said they’d order that in a heart beat. It was amazing. I’d munch a load before I remembered to take a picture so sorry about the half eaten pic. Chips were also very good. If we’d more time I’d go back to try other things on the menu. Based on one visit it’s my favourite place to eat in Woolacombe now. It’s not cheap but it is good value. And much better value than some of the other places locally. I’ll review after I’ve been a few more times. Go eat there as this place deserves a visit as they are doing good stuff.

Food service efficient also, but could be friendlier (did not offer advice on food when asked). For vegetarians, both starter and main are essentially salads. Could a more substantial veg main possibly be offered?

I came here at the end of April with family while on a short trip down to Devon, and my goodness, what a hidden gem of a restaurant. You can feel at every level of their service and food that it is a place ran from the heart by people who truly care about what they make and what they do. The modest exterior of this restaurant is like a gateway into the wonderful experience of this restaurant. Serving us was a lovely female member of staff whose name I didn’t catch, but from start to finish she was so kind and helpful. I am unable to eat dairy, and from the get go, this was not a problem - everything is made fresh, and so everything was able to be adjusted for me to still enjoy a fantastic meal here. The quality of food here is a real testament to the skill of the chefs - I do not say this lightly, but this was the most enjoyable experience in a restaurant I have had in years. The four of us shared two starters - a scallop plate, and a mussel dish. Both were exceptional - a member of us is quite picky with seafood and so was quite anxious about eating here, but my goodness the preparation and freshness of the food was sublime! All of us absolutely loved our main courses, with generous portions and such unique flavours. I had the sea bass dish, amended for my dairy intolerance, and the chef replaced the chorizo for me with a tiger prawn, which was so generous (and so delicious!) All in all, you will walk into this place and have a meal that will really make you feel like you’ve found a pearl on a seabed. It’s an absolute gift of a restaurant and I’m so grateful to have found it and enjoyed a meal here - the skill and kindness of the staff is really exceptional, and it feels like a real privilege to spend the evening here - thank you!

Absolutely superb food! We had a mix of seafood and meat dishes all cooked to perfection. Felt the price fairly reflected quality. However, part of the dining out experience for me is the friendliness of the service, and it wasn’t, otherwise this would definitely be a 5 star experience, as it was some of the best food we’ve eaten since moving to the SW a couple of years ago. Just nothing special about the service - no attempt to help us enjoy the evening. It’s hard to get staff who enjoy helping customers enjoy their dining experience, but we had warmer service in a cheap cafe at lunch. She wasn’t rude, just didn’t seem to care one way or the other about whether we enjoyed our evening or not.

What a place!!! Food and wine were excellent. Lovely atmosphere, great service. Probably the best place we've eaten this holiday in Woolacombe. Loved all the food. The sea bass and the Venison carpaccico were incredible. Great wines as well. Nothing that would affect the star rating, but I would consider adding a light red - maybe a pinot noir or beaujolais that would transfer nicely from red meat to white fish for starters and mains and maybe a couple of good dessert wines. (Although it was lovely to have a limoncello post dessert) All in all - a must visit to Woolacombe - you won't be disappointed!

Everyone who visits Woolacombe should have a try! This is the 4th day of the trip and this dinner makes the whole trip perfect. The food are absolutely very fantastic! The oysters are fresh. The scallops and the rich mushroom sauce matched perfectly. The steak is cooked perfectly with vegetables and potatoes, and the flavour of butter could be tasted. Lastly, the crab is rich in flavour, bread is super soft to match the crab, the salad is mixed with orange. The salad is super fresh. All the dishes are well designed and balanced. The chef should really go for professional chef competition! We will surely come back for this restaurant! 🥰🥰🥰🥰

The prawns were massive and really tasty in all the dishes they showed up in and the mussels (which also appeared in a variety of main courses as well as the standard and utterly delicious creamy sauce with bread) were the best I've ever had! Food is nice but way overpriced and service not the best. When paying £28.50 for a bottle of wine it would be nice if it was poured for us rather than just dumping the bottle on the table. £16 for starters as well is just too much, especially the chilli beef which was mostly just salad and not much beef. The mains were nice but I don’t think the prices for starters can be justified at all.

Our second stay at this amazing hotel. Decorated to a high standard with perfect taste. The bedroom we had was a Queen, it was beautiful and we had the best nights sleep we’ve had in a long time. Plenty of nooks and cranny’s for some quiet time. A gym too, which we didn’t use but good to know! The food was perfect and locally sourced. Also nice to over hear others at breakfast saying how the food and hotel was amazing too. Dog friendly. We don’t have dogs but it’s so lovely to be in a family run business where guests are welcome to bring their pets, making it a home from home. The surrounding area is lovely and picturesque with the entrance to the Tunnel Beaches right near to the hotel and five minute walk to the harbour. Can’t wait for our next visit.
