Stopped going here a couple of years ago as things were not the same as we had enjoyed in the past. Tried jalfrezi tonight and it was poor...no flavor just chilli heat. Very disappointed and rice seamed like it had been sat there a while. Sorry guys can no longer recommend you Well I'm adding to this post from a year ago as I decided tonight to have a takeaway. Ordered tikka masala,onion barji and a seek kebab. Honestly it was so poor !!. The chicken tikka I'm hadn't been marinated it was just coloured with red food colouring and really dry. The masala sauce was runny almost watery and had no flavour... Guys what's happened to your establishment,use to be to notch. Never ever sgsin

The chicken in the biriani was hard and we didn't eat it. Looked like it had been cooked some time ago. VERY disappointed.

My favourite Indian restaurant in the area. It does not go for an upmarket "authentic" style rather this is honest good value "Indian" food aimed at British taste. BYOB a huge bonus. Some sound-absorbing soft wall coverings would help as (see other reviews) it can get very noisy. But fortunately not for us this last visit !

The curry box is excellent. This is my 3rd order and every time, it’s arrived hot and full of flavour. Excellent quality!

Me and the Mrs rarely order currys. Tonight we're glad we did, we ordered chicken tikka masarla with a naan bread special fried rice and mango chutney. Everything was spot on and has to be one of the best currys we've had. The special fried rice was amazing clean and fresh aswell as the curry 5 Star thank you for the amazing food

Tastless. Nan bread felt it was stale. Sauce tasted like it had been watered down.

Been many times, but sadly there was a stag party in at the same time. They thought it was acceptable to shout and swear and ruin the evening for others. I will return soon because it's an excellent place to eat usually.

Tastless madras sauce & watery. Pre cooked chicken & onions & peppers not cooked fully in shashlick. Chiken pakora almost paper thin, ordered keema naan & recieved a plain naan.

Best kebabs ever. Thick pieces of quality chicken, the donner meat was sweet and not fatty tasting and the lamb tender as it should be. The salad was just enough and the sauce was gorgeous on a thick piece of naan bread. Absolutely beautiful

The most tasteless Indian food I've ever had.

Far too expensive for a very average meal. Probably 30% dearer than comparable takeaways in the area.

Best curries we've had for a long time

Had a takeaway from here. Sadly, the food was cold and very expensive. Used to be great

We started using this as our new take away place. It’s a bit of a hit and miss. Yesterday my auntie treated everyone and it was awful. Oily, watery madras sauces, one lamb tikka was too chewy to eat and the vindaloo was too hot. We used to have vindaloo, but they make it too hot. Naan was cold. You’ve lost some very good customers now. But looking at the lack of response to reviews, you may not be too bothered anyhow.

Use for take away all the time but not great to sit in..

I have had many meals in and take away over the years and they were always good. The last two meals I had were not good . I am very disappointed. The onion bhajis were chewy and look like they’ve been reheated. The Rogan Josh I ordered didn’t even taste like Rogan Josh. Maybe they’ve got a new chef I don’t know but I won’t be in there again

Very average three plus. Not quite a four. Noticed the newest reviews in the last year are lowering overall score, should have checked in advance. Not sure what’s changed, but my experience was ok. Nothing to shout about, but nothing to complain about.

Got turned away because we hadn't booked (there were 3 of us), there were only about 10 tables in there because half of the premises is used for takeaways. Rubbish, and it was nothing special on the inside, bang average

Came with a small group of three, got glared at as we waited to be seated and then proceeded to be completely ignored once we sat down. A bigger group came in and had water at they’re table before the host had even came to ours. Rude and disrespectful, will happily spend my money elsewhere.

This is a delightful place. You take your own alcohol which lowers the cost hugely. Mizan the waiter is excellent, quiet and polite. The food is wonderful. And lots of it.

Worst service ever, ordered food online, 45mins later attempted pickup, completely ignored!! Waited 10 mins!! Still hungry…but probably a lucky escape!! Avoid at all costs!

Really delicious food and great service. Today we had the tandoori lamb chops and they were cooked to perfection, very tender. Jalfrezi fish was also very tasty, plus the basics like poppadom and naan are always very good. Highly recommend, love eating there.

Used to get proper tikka chicken, I guess when you're busy you go for the cheaper rubbery option

Refused service because I only wanted a keema nan, pretty poor really. Didn't specify a minimum order anywhere and had cash available...

First time going there me and mother loved it, great food and a friendly atmosphere felt very welcome and like we have been going there for years. 5/5 would recommend to anyone! And definitely going again :)

Wide variety of food on the menu to choose from.

We stopped using the barinda years ago after produce was not good,the chicken was barely warm and like rubber. Yesterday we gave it a try again Just the same 20quid in the bin

Food is excellent and the service is good too. They have always been happy to accommodate requests for something that's not quite available on the menu. Definitely one of the best curry houses in the area with the bonus of BYO if you eat in and they even offer a decent kebab if you're after a cheeky one!

Best Indian takeaway in Cheadle Hulme. Been buying for 20 years from them, never had a bad experience.

Our go-to Indian in the Village despite stiff competition all around! We ordered for Xmas Day meal and food was fresh and piping hot and on time. BYOB is also an absolute touch when we are back from covid. Thanks to the Barinda team for a great Xmas day meal!

Great takeaway they do lovely vegetable curry and the service is excellent.

We have been using Barinda for 10+ years, and its consistently fantastic. We've never had a better Indian Takeaway than here, so much so that even after moving house to a 20 minute drive away, we still order here - the food more than makes up for the 40 minute round trip. Staff are always very friendly, professional and efficient - they are always busy but the wait for your food is never long.

The food here is delicious and the staff are lovely. We come here a lot and would definitely recommend!

Had a takeaway off here due to the lockdown. We had been planning to go out to eat here just before the lockdown! Amazing food, you can tell straight away it has been cooked fresh which is rare with takeaways these days. Flavours shone through..I'm Asian and come from a family of chefs and this was gorgeous!!

Possibly not a good idea on a cold wet Tuesday night for a first visit so can't comment on the ambiance. However staff very attentive. Best onion bahji in a long time. Good food for a fair price. Would go again

Never disappointed. The set menus are cracking value if you're feeding a large party. The portion sizes are pretty generous so be careful not to order too much!

Not very atmospheric but the main point is the food and it's very nice.

Says online that Barinda takeaway is open until 12am- we got there at 11:25pm and it was closed

Usually I love ordering food from Barinda's, it's always been a favourite of mine. However, on this occasion I am deeply disappointed. My usual portion size has been almost been cut to half size. I had 3 pieces of lettuce which was considered a 'salad' and only 3 pieces of chicken tikka. For the prices they charge, I don't agree with what is considered as 'getting your money's worth' :(

RUBBISH!!! Worst ever Indian takeaway I've had in my life! The meat was so hard to chew and was definitely not cooked well! What ever we ordered was food colouring plus a few uncooked pices of meat! Will never go back there again!

Absoloutely love Barinda! Its my favourite takeaway ever! I have been going there since it first opened as Barinda Balti 2000 just before the millenium & I am still going now! Fantastic, friendly staff and the food is delicious! It wouldn't be weekend without a Barinda curry!

Good until the next morning. My sister in-law did warn me after the fact that I might get an upset stomach, she was right. Same for my two sons. Avoid the lamb, stick to veggie dishes and you might be ok.

Lovely food- absolutely love going to the Barinda. Portions are huge though, we have to share one between two! Try the Onion bhargi , Chicken Shashlik and the Tandoori Mixed Grill - yummy!

Attended 60th birthday celebration for member of my family on Saturday 19th October, and was aware that the party of 24 guests had been allocated a "sitting" slot - i.e. 1st or 2nd sitting, as the restaurant has limited spaces. 1st sitting had been chosen because there were young children attending this event. However, the speed with which we were expected to choose our main courses left no time at all for socialisation between family members, and felt similar to a "production line". The party commenced at approx. 7pm, and at 9pm prompt it became VERY apparent that we were expected to leave the premises without delay. I understand that the Barinda have a business to run, but I felt that the attitude of the manager - brusque to say the least - left a lot to be desired. I do not feel that a party of 24 can be classed as insignificant to a tiny restaurant such as this,, but this was certainly not reflected in the manner of our treatment. My grandson is celebrating his 18th birthday at the beginning of November, and his parents were considering this venue for his family celebration. However, following last Saturday evening, this is no longer a viable option. Additionally, although my husband and myself and numerous other members of our family have frequented the Barinda as our favourite choice in Cheadle Hulme for Indian food, we will certainly not be patronising them in the future.
