Absolutely disgusting meal, it used to be lovely but the amount of oil used in the curries is now just disgusting, the whole dish is swimming in cooking oil it’s completely disgusting

Went to the viceroy tonight. Never again. The paneer masala was amazing - but the garlic mushroom starter was tinned mushrooms. Sorry but what restaurant serves tinned mushrooms? 🙄 When placing our order and one of us tried to order a drink, told to get up and go to the bar. Took us an hour to get the bill after asking multiple times. No drink menu so didn’t know the prices when we’d ordered. and when we asked we were told to go get a drink menu and figure it out because they didn’t know what they’d charged us for? Shocking service.

Absolutely awful. The starter was good, but left my curry due to it being sooooo salty. I had to ask three times for a jug of water because I dont drink and was so dry. Have been a few times before and it was ok, but definitely won't be going back again. And the price of the poppadoms and the dips is scandalous.

Ordered our takeaway for delivery and it arrived within about 40 mins. It was well packaged, hot and plentiful. We ordered sheek kebabs which were tasty, moist, tender and delicious. They were served with a large fresh salad and mint sauce with a couple of slices of lemon for added flavour! I had a lamb tikka balti with pilau rice which was spicy but not too hot. It too was delicious. My partner had chicken bhuna with egg fried rice and described it as "very tasty with a hint of hot spiciness". Prices were very reasonable. We haven't used this restaurant before but would definitely order from them again. Well done and thank you

Ordered a takeaway took an hour and a half to get to my house restaurant is 10 mins away. Ordered 5pm got it at 630pm. Food was stone cold and was awful. Not ordering from viceroy again.

Why send that out, not fair. Takeaway - given a chance to somewhere new. Warmed up bhajis, microwave rice, lamb chop a piece of don’t know what. In picture as sent. Warmed up chicken. Worked all day with no food and it’s in bin. 👍🏻 I tried.

Ordered from viceroy midweek, after not having a meal from there for a while. My partner ordered through Uber eats, me a starter a curry and some poppadoms for the little one. When it arrived they had put everything in including dips just forgotten the 3 poppadoms for my daughter. I rang them and explained they had been forgotten not wanting to be a pain as they were all my daughter wanted and they apologised and said they would be have some over in 10 minutes. Within 5 minutes he was at the door with extra poppadoms and dips and a can of drink. Will definitely be ordering again.

Last night we had our first meal out after lockdown- we sat outside near some heaters the food was fabulous and the service impeccable! They have constructed a large pergola with a roof on which is decorated with lights so the setting is lovely - highly recommend a visit to this restaurant- book so your not disappointed

Visited here with my partner, the food was very salty and extremely over spiced, so much so it hit my guts heavy and I had an accident, the staff were very rude about it and made an already embarrassing situation worse, advising me to wear a nappy next time I visit!!

We came last night for our friends birthday and we was really excited for the UB40 tribute band we arrived about 8ish had the food which was lovely but then the tribute band come on and we was expecting 4 people but no just one! How can you do a ub40 with 1? Its impossible we then however left about 10 because of how ridiculous it was to find out people have paid less then us! So I went to the manager and he didn’t give us any kind of refund for this when asked. Then the woman who run the tribute came over and she was like we have been let down etc so he was a stand in! Fair enough but surely at the beginning of the act you should of warned us all and apparently the venue didn’t know. Which I think is a lot of BS! Safe to say me and the group we went with won’t be going here again! Poor excuse of a tribute night!

Really good food - didn't have to wait long for each course. They are doing 2.4.1 throughout December (excluding bank holidays) so good value for money. Worth a visit!

There is nothing you can fault with this restaurant in our opinion. We frequently visit and can honestly say we have never had a bad meal. The staff are always friendly especially “Bash” who always gives you 100% attention. The waiters are always smiling an on call. The food is second to none and a great variation. Well worth a visit.

The staff are really friendly and helpful. The food is excellent quality and great value for money. The drinks are cheap enough and they sometimes have acts on, which are very good. We have been to several and always have a very enjoyable time

Went last night for a tribute night to see an elvis tribute, the entertainment was excellent, the food was ok, the service was terrible, every time i went to the bar they contoured up another price, the food came out very slow, the food itself wasn’t too bad but only having a couple of staff on spoiled the evening

First time I have been to Bangla City. As it was a tribute night it was a set menu which I didn't think the food was very good but as they were catering for a lot of people I suppose I would need to go and try the normal menu. As for the Michael Jackson tribute act my friends and I were disappointed he didn't sing.

The special lamb curry with dates is an absolute delight.......would recommend it ✅ Excellent service.....very polite staff. Thankyou 👍

My wife and I were at a loose end as to what to have for tea and in the end had a 2 for 1 here.It is awhile since we were here but the food is just ad good.Our decision was justified.

Total politeness from sitting down to leaving also the Indian cuisine was to die for,every bit of food was eaten. The service was so good it cannot be equalled all I can say is I've been numerous times but for some reason this time it stood out. 9 out of 10 for these guys,worth every penny.

Not sure what has happened here. Was one of the best in Tameside but really poor quality food,very dissatisfied and disappointed. Standard of food really not good,poor flavour,poor texture, portions fine but no tastell Don't think I'll be visiting again sadly as I wouldn't want to waste my money, previously the best Samber ever but watery,no lentils, no spice and like vinegar, awful!

We came back from a holiday in Menorca on a recent saturday night but because the plane was delayed we could not anything to eat .All the chippies were closed and as I drove round I saw the lights on and went in.They said they were closed and were clearing up but I asked if they could do me a takeaway and they did.Not only are they an excellent restaurant but they also go the extra mile for their customers.

We come here for a quick bite to eat often, we do not expect much. Reason i have rated this a 4 star is because it is not the best, if it was not for the offer during the week we probably would not come here. I have noticed if you order the Signature dishes they come out fresher, My partner order a chicken madras and he said it was the worst he had ever had, however my Signature dish was delicious. In future when we come we probably would order from certain art of the menu as other curry taste like they have been reheated.

We have been to this restaurant a few times. Normally the service is good but this time it was ver disappointing. There has been a staff change and the waiting staff weren't up to the job at all. We had to ask twice for some of the starters to arrive which meant that some of our party were eating their starters after the others had finished.

We went on boxing day. Not the best experience. The curry was watery. One starter arrived cold and no apologies or reduction in the bill. The English guy who works behind the bar is very unhelpful and rude.

Was better before viceroy had it. Staff walked past stuff on the floor so many times me and my partner had a bet between us as to when it would get noticed. Looks like it could shut down at any time inside

We been to this place one, the restaurant is located in very convenient place, It's good for big parties, the service we received was okay and food too.

Visitamos la ciudad de Bangla como una familia de 5 durante las vacaciones de pascua, llegando a 6. 30 ish el lugar no estaba muy lleno, lentamente el lugar comenzó a llenarse. Las comidas eran abundantes y deliciosos, más que suficiente para ir por una cuota, los precios eran razonables trabajando alrededor de 15 libras por persona, incluyendo unos bebidas alcohólicas. Sin duda recomendaría el dilrubar pollo, deseando volver a visitar de nuevo.

Can't really review the food i ordered as my order was missing - food didn't arrive and when we phoned we got attitude - you measure a business on how hard they work to keep you as as customer - Bangla made zero effort to make me want to use them again so we won't

Good service and good food, I visit here about 4 times a year and the food and service has actually improved However! What is it about gents toilets in Indian curry houses they are always hanging :-(

Went to Take that tribute band. Food was plentiful but not a cheap do for curry when you remember you have already paid a deposit

Arrived at around 6pm on a Friday night and no other diners were in. Took a while but it slowly filled up and it went from quiet to noisy, so much so my friend and I had to shout to each other.We went for one of the set menus for £26.95. Starters of seekh kebab, onion bhaji and mains of chicken tikka masala (very mild), lamb karahi and saag aloo. They were alright. A naan and 2 portions of pilau rice also included. We only had a large soft drink each which must have been around £3.50 each which is a lot.Took a while to get the bill. Asked twice but it wasn't forthcoming so went to the bar and paid, which I shouldn't have to do. I've been here before when Viceroy didn't own it and it was much better then than it is now.

Excellent!! The food was great and the staff was friendly. Came here on New Year's Eve and the DJ entertainment was superb! The young lads behind the bar were really friendly! Loved rahit!! Haha Overall was a really good night and the food was best in Hyde. It was just a little cramped at the tables as we had to climb over others to get a drink at the bar. Will definitely recommend this place for nights like these!!

We have been meaning to visit this restaurant for months and now we finally have and it was well worth the wait!The food was wonderful, everything was fresh and used top quality ingredients. The waiting staff were excellent and the service was efficient and despite the restaurant being busy someone was always available. If you are looking for a beautiful curry in a friendly place with attentive staff then this is your place.

We go here regularly. The food is good and the waiting staff are friendly. The decor needs to be updated though as it's a little outdated.

Thought we would try this restaurant for the 2 for 1 offer. Food was nice but no hand dryers or paper towels to dry hands in toilets. None of us drink alcohol and we ordered 3 soda waters and couldn't believe it when we were charged £7.50 for them. I don't mind paying for soda water but I think £7.50 is extortionate. Won't be going here again.

We ❤️ it here ... never had a bad meal yet and we either sit in the restaurant or order a takeaway (on a regular basis). Staff are always friendly and everything is cooked fresh. I'd rather pay a bit extra and get a lovely meal. I took leftovers for lunch today and it was yummy.

Went here for a leaving party with family and was disappointed. Drinks very expensive and the meals are also. Nothing to write home about and there are much better places to eat

So I came here because of the 2 for 1 through the week. There was 3 of us we had 5 drinks and some of them were soft drinks and the bill still came to £60+ God knows how much it would have been if we didn't get some money off! For a okish curry this is so expensive! We had little flies buzzing round us as we tried to eat, the fish tanks had no fish in them, the chairs were broke, chairs had staples sticking out and I ripped my tights, empty restaurant and we got sat right next to the only other table in there! Not a great experience at all!

Can never be bothered to write reviews unless it's really memorable and this restaurant was very memorable. The best Indian food I've ever had. The flavour was completely authentic and not over powered by sugar and salt. Even the simple classic dishes were so good. I loved the atmosphere and the decor too. And the staff were very attentive but not in the way. Really impressed

Got a takeaway, asked for a special spicy biriyani and that's exactly what I received, very impressed.

The best curry house in tameside...very good service cant fault it .. All of the dishes we had we very good, and the portions were generous. The desserts were especially delicious. However, what really stood out was the top notch service. The staff was attentive without seeming to be hovering. Food was ok asked for my meal to b plain with no salad or onions they took my plate away and noticed half way eatin they had just scrapped all the stuff off and I was sick and they did nothin won't b returnin again

We only had a takeaway from here but really liked it. Fresh and flavoursome I had garlic chicken and a fish dish which were really good and not greasy the naan was light freshly made and scrummy, if in the area again will definitely try again.

Went for a family meal as my parents don't live near, it was a total disappointment, the poppadoms came with the chutney tray and it was more or less empty. The starters weren't too bad, then the hot trays came with dried food on them. The chicken was tough and the dish with the rice on was covered in dried curry. We were not asked once if everything was OK and we left that much food they asked if we wanted to put it in doggy bags. I love my dog too much to feed him that. Sorry to say but never never again.

Everytime we choose to go local we always end up here, this is because we know that the food will always be great and to our Asian tastebuds! We request our food to be cooked the desi way with lots of heat n spice! This is the only restaurant that I can claim, that can cook as close to homemade food as any can get (when they cook the desi way).Portion sizes are enormous, to date we have always had to have our food packed up in the end, due to the quantity left!The pricing is extremely competitive and very good value for money, the service is very good, the environment is lovely and of course the food is consistently on point!

The food at this restaurant is brilliant.the staff are really pleasant and will go again.it is worth trying this place out they accomodate children and do parties and functions.really good restaurant

Always good food when we go and the service is good (however sometimes slow). Like how they have a 2 for 1 deal from Monday to Thursday, not many places do. Would recommend!

We visited last night for dinner. We saw a banner advertising "2 for 1" and it seemed busy. Service was ok. We ordered 4 poppadoms, which came with a tray of 6 dips that we didn't order, I said to the waiter we wouldn't eat them so he took them away. We then had our starters ( boneless chicken tikka + chicken pakora) - both were really good.Mains were nice too + a reasonable portion.We asked for our bill + 20 minutes later it still had not arrived. We were not impressed with this + it really wasn't busy. We got our bill the 2nd time I asked. Was annoyed to be charged for the dips that we had neither ordered or eaten.Table behind us was also querying about an extra charge on their bill, so it may well be this is their practice but we weren't impressed by it.

We have dined here on many occasion. The staff are always friendly and helpful. Food is delicious and the restaurant is very spacious. Beautiful fish tanks along the restaurant too.Great for couples, families or large groups. Also BOGOF every Monday -Thursday on starters & main meals

This is my regular curry house and I have been going at least once a week for many years. What originally attracted me was the 2-4-1 special offer Mon to Thurs, on starters and mains. We have never had a bad meal or service and I have eaten in different curry houses and this is my favourite and after reading other reviews I think some of the comments are unfair. This is a very busy restaurant for one reason,it's good value for money with good food and staff. Works out cheaper than any takeaway on the 2-4-1 offer. Last nights meal again could not be faulted !

Went for a 21st birthday and half of the party only got poppadoms in 2 hours and walked out. Worst service ever, AVOID!

Love the bangla city party night. Always a great night out with friends. I went to see patelvis this year. Foods always average but the atmosphere and the drinks make you forget about it i guess

2 x couples on a Sat evening. This is the first time I have been in here, but lots of friends have recommended and we thought we would try it out. We went for the set dinner for 4 (and we were allowed to change 1 of the mains) The food was freshly cooked and plentiful. I usually finish my plate but there was lots left over. We got.. Poppadoms & chutney tray. Mixed Starters, separate mains, and all sundries (Rice/Bread) for 4. It was £62 with drinks. A great night out.

Firstly, what a shame this night was not advertised on the internet, I only spotted it when I drove past. Which meant the turn out was very poor. This was no one a reflection on the restaurant or artist itself, just poor advertisingTo start, this was a themed night with 3 courses inlcuded in the price. The food was brought to the table although it was advertised as a buffet, it worked well with the waiter service, made the meal last longer so that was greatStarters were popadoms which a chutney trayNext course were onion bhaji's, chicken tika, chiken wings and samosas. The waiter came up once the plates were empty to ask if we would like any more starters, my son happily asked for more chicken tikka and it was brought without any problemsThe main courses consisted of 2 veg dishes (I am a veggi) and 4 meat dishes plus 2 different types of pilau rice and nan breadAgain, if you want any more (and there was plenty) you could ask, we couldn;t finish it.Once the meal was finished, there was a DJ who had an audience partition game, very funny, no pressure to join in at all.Then Gaga came on, very very goodthen to finish was a disco. we left around 11:25Thank you for such an amazing night.

So i'll start with the positive- the food was OK, just a shame it took 2 hours from being seated for the main to come. I'd imagine for a normal meal its fine, but stay clear of the Christmas do entertainment nights. The basic issue is, they booked too many people in, it was so cramped you had to climb over fellow diners to leave the table and whilst there seemed to be plenty of busy staff the service is the worst ive ever had. As a party of 16 we asked for 4 jugs of water, after 20 mins when they hadn't arrived I asked again. I was amazed to be told there were no jugs left and the waiter didn't understand people drinking water with wine, he recommended I just get drunk, or go to the bar and buy some water. At £26 for a meal that would otherwise cost £15 I didn't think a jug of water was a big ask.... So I thought I'd probably just had bad luck in the waiter I'd asked... Not the case.. I approached someone who looked like he could have been the manager and was told his staff were too busy serving food to get people water and was directed to the bar. I duely waited 10 mins and was told I could only have 1 jug... So began the fun game of relay to the bar to get everyone a glass of water with their meal.... Guess they bank on everyone being so drunk they won't notice the service or the shockingly bad entertainment which is a whole other review!!

Great place to have a party .Good service .excellent food .plenty of room to dance .very large restaurant .Good tribute acts on .Cobra beer served here also kingfisher beer .Co do with a few choice English beers on draught..

the restaurant looks nice inside, I went for the sunday special which is ten pounds for poppadums, mixed starter, side and a main with a naan bread and coffee.the food was nice and the restaurant is big inside.it was unfortunate that a couple of other restaurants have had more choice for a satrter although the food was nice inc the onion bhaji which I don't normally have, I had the mixed grill at no extra charge and the last course was a coffee.the negatives were that the staff didn't seem too happy and weren't very attentive, other local restaurants offer a coffee or ice cream or both and also didn't seem to be asked if we enjoyed the food or a farewell after the meal.I would eat here again for the food but tweaking the offer and customer service a bit more would help

We had two really lovely meals with exellent service with carding and well informed staff. With ample parking on site and right at junction 3 of the M67. Theirs two for one during the week.

Me and my family went here for my Grandma's 71st birthday. The restaurant recently changed it's name to "viceroy", there is also a new menu. I have been here man times, with friends, family and others. But this visit to Bangla city or now as it's known "viceroy", was surprising. The service was on the shabby side and it took half an hour to get a jug of water and some glasses. The standards of the food have slipped and this didn't go down well with everyone, and in some cases literally (most notably my Father who stank the car out on the way home, and also the morning after). The staff were less friendly then usual and seemed distracted as if the restaurant was packed out, we went on a Wednesday (so as you can imagine it was quiet). Overall, a disappointment, but my Grandma enjoyed her birthday and that was the main thing. I wouldn't come here again unless someone paid for my meal, luckily in my case I didn't pay anything towards the bill, (lucky me)

From walking in may as well gave been invisible half empty resteraunt once seated got forgotten again for drinks orders two other tables arrived after us getting served first waited ages for pops and chutneys we were hard pushed to even see the menu due to poor low lighting I had to use light on my phone to view menu when ordering I chose balti exotic as this dish contained prawns an xtra charge so I was going to change but then the waiter said it's only 2.00 xtra you tight get! !! Couldn't believe he said it * should of got up and left then) anyway I then was embarrassed and said I would go with his recommendation when it arrived it was overpowering with chilli did not resemble a balti and had one prawn yes one prawn for the xtra 2.00 not once did any member of staff come to see were we enjoying our meal daughter aged 5 starving waiting for us to get thru 2 courses before mains came diabolical service in total and never been called a tight get by a member of staff before banter or not staff are ignorant and are exactly what other reviewers on here say about them I work customer service and did not see one ounce of customer care used here food was awful and did not warrant price I refused to pay for the one prawn paid for meal at till to the offensive waiter without as much as a sorry for the horrible service this meal was to end my 6 year old birthday we didn't even stay long enough for the ice cream will never ever return to this place again who incidently are using viceroy and bangle as names on menus wonder why that is!!!! But I urge you not yo bother you'll be waiting forever if you want resteraunt standards you deserve.

....so 4 is top marks for me. Eaten here more times than I can count. Also had numerous take always from here. Food has been great 95% of the time. Occasionally the lamb is fatty and occasionally the tandoori king prawn is a bit salty but like I say, 95% of the time it's spot on

Came here for a birthday meal with my partner and 2 children they don't do anything for kids so he had half a chicken and chips and us other 3 all had curry it came to around 80 pound the food was amazing so didn't mind paying it even though the youngest left nearly all is so I think maybe a children's menu is a good idea

Came here with my son partner and brother for my birthday, It was very expensive but we enjoyed our curry my son who was 5 doesn't eat curry and there wasn't really anything on the menu for him so we had to order him half a chicken and chips he couldn't manage to eat all of it not even half I think they need a kids menu other than that the food was really nice staff seemed friendly enough

Visited bangla city tonight for my mums birthday, not a single thing i could complain on to say it was a busy night the service they provided was wonderful no delay on the food or drinks. The restaurant has been redecorated and has a wonderful welcoming feeling. Very satisfied.

Visited Bangla city yesterday with my family for a birthday meal, as we arrived our table was ready for us to sit down. We was given a new menu with some brilliant dishes on so i opted for a dish called Sujo Muki the presentation of the dish had the wow factor to start with but the flavour was something i have never tasted before. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The service was very good too.Good job guys keep it up.

I agree with the latest reviews about this place. The staff are slow and not a bit interested, they give the impression that its a chore to be serving you. The food was average and not very warm. The whole place is dirty, carpets under our table had a funny odour and we had flies landing on the condiment trays. For a sunday evening it was very quiet and yet we had a long wait for our food...To be fair one or two of the staff appeared pleasant enough, however I would not visit this place again with so many other superior places in the area.

Nearly a three hour wait for food. The food was Cold when arrived. The staff are rude and very unhelpful. Will never eat here again.

End of term meal for our staff -table booked for 20+ people over a week ago. Arrived 6.30pm to be told we hadn't booked, then after a lot of deliberation, no apologies, we were told they would find us a table "soon". We were left in the waiting area then, until turned 8pm, no drinks or poppadums offered to us, completely ignored by staff. We eventually sat down, split between tables, then waited again for our food orders to be taken. We were only allowed initially to order starters, then another waiter took mains orders. It was a shambles! Basically by 10.20pm, 4 hours after our booked table should have been waiting for us, there were food orders that hadn't arrived, some people eating, others not, others asked for their food to be put in takeaway bags. Didn't hear an apology at any point. Many of us just got up and left at the end of the evening, without paying, others left a small amount of money

No greeting or goodbyes anymore unlike other restaurants in the area we found with the Bangla familiarity breeds comtempt food is good value but we think some of the staff feel they are doing you a big favour just by serving you

Where does one start, walked in the door and we were met by a waiter that gave the impression that we just ruined his day. Were but at a table next to a window, window blinds and the lamp in the window sill were caked with dust and filth. The waiters are all slow, disinterested and obviously would rather be somewhere else. Food was mediocre at best. Rest rooms are absolutely filthy. Desert was still frozen in the middle, sent it back, no apology but they did remove it from the bill. And to top of a dreadul experience they tried overcharging us. If you must eat here, check that the total on the bill is correct. Personally, I will never patronise this restaurant again.

lots of indian curry places in hyde, this is not one of the best, sauces are not great, very average. have eaten here twice not again.

Ordered food and paid online which was accepted for delivery 1 hour later, after 2 hours had passed i trjed ringing the restaurant numerous times but they were constantly engaged! Ordered elsewhere in the end. Very disappointed.

Visited here with friends , never been before , known of it for years .....had a set menu they offered for our group ....£13.95 ...popadums ...mix starter, any main , rice , nan bread ,chips etc....I had the Bangla special , chicken ...very nice meal and was very full afterwards ...not too spicy and also not full of grease which some are like ! .....lots of flavour....well worth a visit if in the area and fancy a curry

We visited with friends and their young daughter, we were seated straight away and they catered well for the child. All 4 of our curries was amazing as well as all the sundries, couldn't fault any of the meal, will definitely be going back

Food is good staff can be a little hit and miss. Never had a bad meal Sunday deal is good value any 3 course's for £10 of the main menu.

Always eaten here always been lovley never faulted them and ordered takeaway but the last few times we've orderd it's turned up cold....how do u warm the rice back up isn't there a rule don't re heat your rice?? I've been ill all day and can only put it down to the food we ordered my partner has been ill to and it's the only thing we've eaten the same!! Lost my custom.....

I've been eating here for 10 years. However, over the past 12 months the service and quality of the food has deteriorated to a level that is both unprofessional and unhygienic. The staff are hostile when their mistakes are highlighted to them. I have never had an apology from them during each incident. I order the same dish, and each time I get it, it tastes different, and of poor quality.I have always given them the 'benefit of the doubt' but most recently they have acted in a way that was unhygienic (something which environmental health would close them down for) as a result I would never be able to put their food to my mouth again...I won't eat their food again - it's disgusting!

been here many several tmes, xmas do , valentines etc and it was always ok. So chose it for mothers day treat for wife and mother in law....booked a table for 5pm. sat down at the table and it took waiter 30 minutes to come and ask us if we would like drinks. The food finally arrived at 645pm . 1hour 45minutes after arrival and then only after id been up to complain. Unacceptable wait and food was only luke warm but we had waited so long and were so hungry we eat it cold. Very disapointed. Wont be back.

the food was lovely, the staff were very friendly and great with children. the prices were very reasonable. I would defiantly recommend this restaurant to others.

Large choice of dishes and they tast excellent. Plenty of pleasant staff and nice clean and pleasant atmosphere. I love the fish dishes. Great for any size group and I really enjoyed my 60th birthday meal with lots of my family including Grandchildren and friends. Well worth a visit.

Table cloth and napkins had food on them from previous customers. Service was poor, slow and waiters miserable. Food ok.

Visited with friends on a Friday night. Hadn't booked but were allocated a table without a problem. Food was superb with generous portions and service was very good. Lovely spacious venue that allows you to enjoy your meal whilst watching good quality entertainment. We aren't local to the area but wish we were as this was one of the best Indian restaurants we have visited.

This restaurant was OK. but went for my partners 60th birthday,, I dont know the cost of it cos my daughter planned it for her dad. food was varied depending what you wanted. Very pricey though I should imagine. I don't think I would go back though cos of the prices

We visited here this evening Fri 14th 2014 for my friends birthday. There was this 1 server who clearly did not want to be there. He was rude and miserable. I would have give full marks if that guy wasn't such a miserable jerk. Ruined the night! However the food was amazing.

My wife and I went to Bangla City last week and yet again had a lovely meal. service is first class and the food even better. My wife doesn't like hot curries so always asks for a recommendation and so far has never been let down with the waiters advice. Prices are good too and that includes the drink prices. all in all a very nice place too eat and we would recommend it.

Our party consisted of over twenty guests and the service from the restaurant reflected this.It was therefore a three hour experience !The staff however were trying their very best to attend to our needs.We were advised to choose off one section of the main menu and were also treated with a mixed starter plus poppadoms,rice and a nan to share. all for the pricely sum of ten pounds.The food was quiet tasty served on hot plates so for the price you can't complain. Yes there are better places to eat but overall for a midweek eat its fine. Would I go back ? Yes

We went for a birthday party and the people are lovely, it's cleaner than the last time we went. My starter was nice but then went downhill. Don't bother with the creamy dishes, I usually like them but Bangla city seem to like pouring sugar into their meals, we all tried it and it was so bad we had to send it back and swap it. When the next dish came it was edible but the only flavour in there was pure garlic. Not impressed with the food at all. However the people are very nice, it's a good atmosphere, I wouldn't choose to go again, but we had a good night minus the food.

We eat here quite a lot, and there truly isn't anything bad to say about the place!The food is delicious, there's a huge amount of choices to suit every taste and it's even very good value for money!

did a review on another site 3 years ago praise praise praise but whats happened??? downhill rapid service poor, abrupt waiters, bad service ,food average to poor whats happened ??? used to recommend but not anymore maybe a few more criticisms from past clients will bring it back to what it used to one can only hope sorry guys but you've lost 8 regulars

I do like a curry when I'm working away and Hyde does have a number of more than decent places to find one. This was my first visit - I saw it from the road as I went past, noticed it was busy, so went in on impulse. The food was great: it's a large menu with a good choice of sub-continental standards. I chose a madras and it was fresh and well cooked. It's also just a three minute drive from the Village Hotel in Hyde. I shall return.
