Waiters don't listen to the order. Don't order Shakshuka because you'll get a scrambled egg with onion!! And then they'll bring it back with raw egg!!

I don’t usually write reviews while still sitting in the restaurant, but I’m so blown away that I had to give credit where it’s due. The food here is nothing short of phenomenal—both in quality and quantity. It’s Valentine's Day, and I must say, I’m feeling love not just for my husband but also for the incredible meal I’ve just enjoyed. This is fine dining at affordable prices, offering delicious kosher food that’s a refreshing change from the usual schnitzel and shawarma you find at kosher restaurants in London. The menu is diverse and exciting. Although I have no room left for dessert, the menu looks incredibly tempting, and I will definitely save space next time—because I will be back! Special thanks to Aviv for the impeccable service and making this such a memorable evening. Consider me a repeat customer. Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for great food and a fantastic dining experience!

Wonderful tasty food. Good size portions. The chicken liver starter with egg was great. I loved the green curry. Not at all spicy. The hazel nut parfait dessert we shared and all liked it. Clean and modern.

Went to Aviv twice in the last weeks. As always friendly service, great food, good portions, nice atmosphere! Recommended!

We were there for a golden wedding and 70th birthday party. We had bbq spare ribs to start then rib eyed steak and mixed grill with a Peppermint tea to finish. Lovely friendly staff.

As always, wonderful, homey, tasty food with amazingly generous portions. Loads of choice and great bundles to include starter, main, dessert and hot drink. Some good Gluten-free options and warm service from staff. Real value for money! We come back time and again. Thank you Aviv, don't change anything!

We were unsure whether to go or not, given the mixed reviews online and we only had one night and wanted to eat well. We decided to go for it and WOW we are so happy we did. The staff were super attentive and friendly and the food was absolutely delicious! Meat incredible and we really can not fault the restaurant in anything. Looking forward to going again!

Oh dear, an Edgware icon that has become a complacent shadow of what it once was. Food was lack lustre, meat was gristly, dry and vegetables tired and over cooked. And the gratuity? Apparently not shared. So a reset is required - a fresh menu and more imaginative thought.

I had high hopes for this place but it was honestly the worst food I’ve ever had. The customer service wasnt great either and I felt very uncomfortable. I definitely WILL NOT be recommending this place to anyone

Ordered take away for New Year’s Eve night in. Had humous and falafel, steak and chicken escalope both with fries and other side dish. All sounded good and we were looking forward to it. Sadly all was very disappointing and very bland. Nothing we ate, though edible, did we enjoy. Will not be ordering from here again!

Delicious food, amazing atmosphere and always the best service

We came to eat 6 people food was very bad we couldn't finish the plates. The food that was served was re-heated and not fresh. Some of us had stomach issues. We are eating in a lot of restaurants and have ever had experience like this. The shift manager suggested that we re- experiance the restaurant on the house with the same amount we paid. Not all of us wanted to come back, and the owner didn't even agree to compensate us in any way once I came back to try one more time and give them a chance as the manager said on the phone. Will never come back and wouldn't suggest.

Gone downhill a lot since I last reviewed it. The starters and main were fantastic, but the service and desserts were awful!! The set menus are no longer such good value - saved 50p on one and one meal cost us £4 more than it would a la carte!! We didn't get all the sides we ordered - despite asking for them, we only got some more, not all. We had to ask for one of the mains because they only served 6 out of the 7 of us, and they did the same with the desserts- only served 6 out of the 7 people and we had to go and get a waiter to bring the other one. The desserts were not hot - we sent the sticky toffee pudding sauce back to be reheated and then had to ask for it because they didn't bother to bring it back. The plum crumble was a small amount of plum covered in what can only be described as a mountain of sand. Much too dry and badly made. We waited ages for them to clear our table after mains we had to go and ask them to do it and give us the dessert menu. If o had been posting I would have removed the service charge. It was incredibly noisy, making it hard to hear each other speak.

Fantastic food. Service good. Very noisy especially if there's a party in the back! Good value for set menu bearing in mind its three courses and large portions which you can take home if you can't eat it all. Only restaurant I know that serves Hungarian Goulash.

Stopped in for a quick light lunch , ordered a plate of humous schwarma with a side of homemade green chilli sauce. One bite and I was transported to Jaffa !

The food in this place is a problem, and I mean that in all the best ways possible. Delicious. Service is great with a plethora of menu items to choose from. You should come here.

Lots of food but much more expensive than last year

Food was below average - aged steak should have some nice taste and shouldn't be dry, chewy and taste of coals. Not a sign of salt or pepper. The person I was with took the lamb ribs, same story. Hummus with za'atar chicken was actually nice. Staff great.

Nice food and overall mainly good service

The place is nice with a good environment. I went with a group of people and we really enjoyed the dinner even though the food was kosher. The paté was wonderful and the Apple cake amazing. The service was quite slow but they treated us very well.

I don't normally write a review whilst still in the restaurant but whilst I'm absolutely blown away I wanted to give credit where credit is due. The food is phenomenal in both quality and quantity- tonight is Valentine's Day and I have both love for my husband and for the incredible food I have just finished. Fine dining at affordable costs, delicious kosher food different to the bog standard schnitzel and shwarma you tend to get in kosher restaurants in London- amazing menu choices. I have no room for dessert but the menu looks tempting... will get dessert next time as I definitely will be back. Aviv, thank you for the best food and service! Consider me a repeat customer. Highly recommend this restaurant.

Wonderful food, great service, highly recommended.

I recommend a visit to this restaurant as the food is delicious and the prices are not too steep. However, make sure you book a table earlier in the evening as the kitchens close at 10.00, which means that your dining experience is hampered by the waiters reminding you to place your orders in time.

Accomodating of our requests, huge portions, good food but service was a bit slow considering we were the only ones in the whole restaurant! ( Sunday lunch )

I generally rate their food and enjoy dining in. Portions are big and decent. BUT I work nearby and we often order Aviv takeaway and my standard order is the chicken avocado salad. 50% of the time one major ingredient is missing and I have to go back for a replacement. Usually it's the avocado, but it has been croutons, the dressing and even once the chicken! It is incredibly frustrating and honestly makes me want to stop ordering. If it's called a chicken avocado salad surely those are the basic ingredients that should be in it?? I'm only leaving this review so the owners will see and ensure that their orders are checked before they're considered ready.

Great Shabbat / Friday night food delivery promptly Friday morning. Lots of food and all very yummy. Plus they always have GLUTEN FREE options which is very helpful. Thank you to all at The Aviv!

Best quality kosher restaurant in Edgware

We had the most wonderful Friday Night Dinner for 14 delivered last week. Everything was carefully boxed and labelled and the food was delicious. Incredibly plentiful and lots left over for following day - and the freezer, and distribution to the grandchildren. Amazing value and Adam and Yass were so helpful and a pleasure to deal with. We had two fabulous waitresses too - Andrea and Laura - very efficient yet unobtrusive. Couldnt do enough to help on the evening. All in all a great success which we would not hesitate to repeat.

Just had another good meal at the Aviv !! Food was good and service was caring as always. We made our sons Barmitzvah party at the restaurant some months back and was unreal. Daniel and his team carry on pulling out all the stops ! I have been attending the Aviv pretty much since the beginning in the late 1980’s and unlike other restaurants that grow and lose their quality and feel, the Aviv has simply thrived and improved as the years go on. I Highly recommend this restaurant that is good value and great food !!

Very friendly and helpful staff. A comprehensive menu and one can also choose from, A or B choice of set menu, that's a choice of starter, main course and desert, plenty of choice, delicious.

Just returned from my mum's 80th birthday celebrations. Just had a great afternoon! The food was delicious, loved the meze starter. The mains were huge and fab. Loved halva ice cream desert, a revelation! Staff were brilliant, extremely patient and welcoming. Even though the restaurant closed at 2.30 were not rushed and stayed way over alloted time. Thank you everyone!

This was for a family birthday celebration with a group of 18. The food was excellent. Jas and the team were really great and the food was very good with everyone happy !

Visiting a relative in London. An expensive and highly rated restaurant. You could have fooled me. My wife's dish had to be sent back because it was under-cooked. The waiter brought a heavy bowl of chicken soup to the table. He handed it to me over the table over the noses of the other diners expecting me to take it off him. I told him to bring it round to me; I didn't want to drop it. Well the chicken soup was OK, just. Watery tasteless was be a good description. When we left it was like getting off a bus. Nobody asked us if the meal was OK. Oh, I forgot. The meat was tough. Very. Never again, sorry.

The most HORRIBLE experience!! STAY AWAY!!! ALL THEY CARE ABOUT IS MONEY!! NOT THE CUSTOMERS! Went with 9 family & friends, ordered and waited for our food. Food arrived under & over cooked! Because they were rushing to close! The Manager literally kicked us out in middle of our main course because the waiters are only paid till 11 pm !! So what?? If you can't have us dine like normal ppl tell us before!! Yes the kitchen closes at 10:30 but basic decency is to wait for your customer to finish their meal! Especially when you KNOW that you JUST served them their main course at 10:45!!! The literally gave us our hot desert and cold ice cream in takeaway bags! Loool!! What a JOKE of a place!! Manager, didn't want to hear what we had to say! Even his waiters were like what's happening here!! Honestly, with this type of service I would NOT STEP IN THIS PLACE! Don't expect any of us or anyone else we know to come dine with you! Not even a apology! Shame on you!!

Very generous portions and delicious food.

Been there a number of times in the past and have always been satisfied. However, today was the first time we have been back since covid and the food was not good. Steak was so fatty it had to be returned and the rest of the meal was mediocre. Service was also very slow. Don't know if they are under new management or if they are procuring poor quality meat in order to save costs. Whatever it was, we won't be returning.

Eaten at the Aviv many times, including tonight, and always have a lovely meal. Food is always really tasty and the portions are big so I always leave very satisfied. Would definitely recommend!

I ordered food for my friend on the 29th Dec. Yemeni soup and fish and chips, however the Deliveroo driver bought the wrong food which was shwarma in a pita. I hadn't told my friend I was sending her food so she thought when it arrived this was food I had ordered for her as a surprise though she prefers shwarma in a laffa, I was just about to phone Aviv when they called me to say that they knew the wrong food had been delivered and the correct food was on its way to her and she was just to keep the food which was wrongly delivered. The correct food was delivered which she enjoyed and then a driver arrived with chicken soup with noodles and shwarma in a pita with chips. I then had to phone Aviv to say that the order of food was clearly marked for somebody else and they apologised and said the driver/drivers had mixed the orders up and just to keep that food , I spoke to a very pleasant guy called Yaniv who apologised and I said these things happen, my friend gave the two wrong orders away to her niece as she a) prefers a laffa not a pita and b) there was no dressing with the meat so the shwarma was dry but that is the personal preference of customers not a reflection on the restaurant. I have ordered on a few occasions from this restaurant before for the same friend and her mum, her mum when she was ill and another friend who was also ill and they raved about the quantity and quality of food.

All 5 of us enjoyed our meals. We chose from fixed menu B. Food was cooked to our taste, portions were generous, service amazing and yes we'd go back again as we have many times.

Nobody comes here to be challenged by the haute cuisine, although the portion size and attractive pricing is the stuff of legend. While the pargiyot were cooked beautifully; Thai green curry lacked sufficient vegetables, any crunch in what vegetables were there, was tamely spiced, and chicken was overcooked. Decor is serviceable, service swift and attentive but not oppressive. The mixed mezze first course could be a bit punchier with flavours, but probably wisest not to pander to my tastes but to the bland preferences of my more conventionally Ashkenazi co-religionists. In fact, in general, it is probably best to ignore me.

Previously I have maintained that Aviv is the best valued kosher meal available in London. An unfortunate recent mediocre experience from the food, coupled with spilled drinks from the staff and no apology have lowered my opinion of Aviv. I will probably be back but the other options are now much more tempting in the decision making process

Food was good but staff were terrible. In serving drinks they managed to knock over 3 bottles of beer and drenched me. Had to insist on being moved to a different table in spite of a large puddle on the floor. No apology or any sign of contrition from the staff and no attempt at an apology from the manager who ignored the situation. Then they tried to charge for the bottles they had knocked over. No attempt at compensation apart from an offer to pay for dry cleaning. Not a good evening.
