Ates Tas Firin in Waltham Forest

What a lovely restaurant, abi was so welcoming and made us feel at home straight away. He even had some chi kofte made with cous cous and was delicious. Really fresh lovely dough with several different traditional Turkish toppings and flavours. The best thing was the Ayran tank constantly pouring 🫗 it tasted incredible. I've been there many times for dinner and I can say clearly I'm going to always, we've always received friendly service! Their food delicious and ayran (yoghurt drink) also nice and definitely has to try with dry mint.The Owner friendly and responsible for their business (They're thinking carefully about customer's satisfaction), They're also serving alcohol with their food. I'm just saying big thanks for the smiling service and delicious food!..

Portions are huge! We just about managed to finish 1 pide between 2 of us with their complimentary salad. Food was fresh and staff were incredibly friendly and very accommodating to my 2 year old toddler. Lovely place to come have a bite to eat, will come back to try their Lacmachun.

We had an absolutely delightful dining experience, enjoying some of the most delicious food I've ever tasted. The open kitchen allowed us to watch the chefs skillfully prepare our meals over a stone fire, which added to the overall ambiance. The two lovely ladies who served us were wonderful—always smiling and radiating positivity. Dogan Bey, the owner, personally attended to us, ensuring we received the highest quality of service. We will definitely be returning for more. Thank you for the beautiful moments we all had with friends.

It was my first time at a Turkish restaurant, I enjoyed the food very much. My crew mate was offered a vegan option for both food and drink, which she refused. Since Nefis openned they dropped their high prices. As a principle I don't shop from Cash Only shops. HMRC should really look into why Cash Only shops operate this way. And also those that charge high prices untill competition turns up. So it's a definite no thank you but I'll avoid this place at any cost. The owner is also a very rude person. Just read the owners reaction to customers reviews he shouldn't be allowed to operate any restaurant. And should be complained to the trading standards.

It has very thoughtful staff, they are all humorous and friendly, the food is delicious, this is my fourth visit, it is a great place, I recommend it to everyone, it is a budget-friendly place, Konya meat bread is amazing.

Shameful Restaurant owner’s behaviour.What kind of Restaurant shall I classify it?A close friend of mine just passed along when he was stopped by the owner and his team.Why? Because he had given him a bad review.Start arguing about the review he had written.Are we unsafe to walk on the road.23 years we been in this area never seen a business owner like that.Threatening him if he comes again he will not been served. He even grabbed /pulled him out from the restaurant.He did not accept criticism.We are in England here.

I'be been waiting for 15 minutes to get the 2 cakes bought packing . Got at home the cakes were hard to eat , you could easilly taste that they were made days ago.

Wow I was fakingly impressed on my first visit. However future visits have proven that it has double standards. Some are welcome wholeheartedly while others wait without a smile nor a welcome. Payment by card since day 1 was unconditional. Now the baker told me no card payment below £10.Also I waa made to pay £1 for Turkish tea on day 1. Next visit I was told tea is free. Today I am told Tea is not free. Again double standards. I asked the waitress for tea but no tea was served to me. Then for second time I asked the baker: again waiting for an unserved tea. Finally, in a 3rd attempt, I asked Ates Tasfirin owner for a tea: then he brought my tea himself. Really an amateur restaurant in a nice area: Chingford Mount. Tks. Mohammad.

A metal piece just came out of my Turkish pizza! Nearly broke my tooth! This is ridiculous!!!!!!!

The topping on the lahmacun was very scarce and lacked meat. The tea wasn't fresh either. It was too bitter, that’s why we couldn't drink it.

Amazing food I love the bread and the pide

The best Etli Ekmek and Kuzu Tandır I had for the recent years. For me, atmosphere here is amazing, a clean, cosy and small place, nothing unnecessary like luxury chairs or tables, lights etc. And the prices are really good for what you get. The owner and chef love what they’re doing. A real hidden gem for Londoners who love traditional Turkish cuisine. For me it’s worth traveling over an hour for this treasure.

Not the best lahmacun i had but it was the biggest portion. and it was delicious. I could hardly finish two which is a rare situation. The roka salad we had was so delicious. And the ayran was also delicious which is served in traditional copper cups. It's definitely a must go place. I loved the atmosphere, staff, food, and prices. There is nothing to complain about. I will be a loyal customer. I feel happy to discover Ates Tas Firin.

We have visited this local restaurant a few times now over the last year. The food is freshly cooked and home made - you can see the prep in the open kitchen and oven area. Friendly service and smiles every time we go. I especially like the tava baked lamb dish and the pides. Most dishes are served with fresh bread and salad, and lovely Turkish tea after the meal too. Very happy and we will continue to be regular customers.

Love this place! Been there for lunch a couple of times and all the food is so fresh and tasty. Had lamb soup, lamachun, pickles, salad and fresh bread...£17 with a pint of Efes. The soup is just amazing....so tasty! Also lovely people and a really nice cosy atmosphere. One of my fav places in the area and I will be back for plenty more!!

My father and I was passing by and thought we stop to have lunch. Wow I didn't expect that! The food was amazing, probably one of the best I have had in Chingford in a very long time. You can watch your food being prepared, incredibly clean and the staff were very polite and welcoming. The portions are very generous, you really do get your monies worth. I was so impressed. This will definitely be my go-to place from now on. There aren't many places left in the area with high-quality fresh food. It may be a small restaurant on a busy high road but I can assure you the service and food is of a 5 star standard ***** 👌 Thank you Oya & Ilker

I have now been here several times and cannot fault, service, food, and atmosphere. The food is always amazing it is a definite must try if you are in the area. Clean and very homely feeling. Lahmacuun was amazing! Came back the following day and had a different "Antep" Lahmacuun, Chicken Pide and Fresh Ayran take away. I had ordered by phone 10 mins before and it was ready when I arrived. Really friendly and efficient service. Great tasting food. I hope they do deliveries soon.

Delicious fresh food, filling and reasonably priced. Staff are really friendly and welcoming and couldn't do enough for us. Over a few visits we have eaten lamb pide, veggie lahmacun, meatballs, fish, soup, salad and the baked pumpkin dessert. I would recommend it all. A great little local place to pop in for a snack or dinner.

What an absolute gem of a place. It’s one of those places that doesn’t look too fancy and the menu doesn’t scream out but my lord do they know how to cook. Even the most basic of menu options is made to perfection. This is not just another Turkish restaurant, this is somewhere you will keep coming back to. The service is a little erratic but with food this good, you won’t care. It’s also great value!

We came as a group of 4. We all tried different food, they were really delicious Deserts are amazing. Customer service is great and the ambiance of the restaurant is good. Prices are very cheap compare to other restaurants. Keep up with the great service, we will definitely come back.

I bought Lentil Soup and Lahmacun. It was really nice. I will definitely use it again. It's like original Tottenham branch 12 years ago. I can recommend anyone like traditional Turkish food with good price.
