Bought four slices at £4 each. Baked cheesecake, blueberry cheesecake and two custard slices with an almond topping. We found them all to be bland and not worth the calories. So somewhat disappointed.

Great fresh food. I usually get the bread which is reasonably priced and always fresh. Everything else I've tried from the counter has been delicious and they're always really friendly

The taste of the keki is still good. It's just expensive.

So good! I brought the apple crumble berry cake and it was incredible. So was the chocolate fudge brownie. Best cakes I’ve ever tasted.

Absolute delicious bienenstich. Something my wife’s been craving ever since I got it for her ok our trips to Germany. For those who don’t know it’s a sort of cake with pastry cream and honey glazed almonds. Heaven. Not sure but it might even be called ‘bee sting’ literal translation... Found my favourite mohrenkopf box there too and picked up some delicious bread - white/wheat loaf. Since we been during lockdown I’m afraid we didn’t get to shop there relaxed, had to rush as there were people waiting to get in once we got out... will deffo take my cycling crew out there for a pit stop soon!

The sourdough is our healthy excuse to shop here...but to be honest our real reason is for their completely delicious cakes. We’ve tried their various cheesecakes and also the delectable “bee sting” cake which simply tastes like a piece of heaven (creamy custard and a hint of honey/almond crust). Thank you for helping make the time pass more sweetly!

Have only had the ricotta cake, twice, yes the whole cake - it is VERY GOOD INDEED. I have also had one piece of the cheesecake which is also delectable. Absolutely spot-on texture, taste, look, smell. I will have them both again, many, many times. This is a really good baker.

The place used to be a very convenient and popular Chinese buffet, with heaps of good food for cheap, before Brexit and Covid made it sink. Since then, we have seen several incarnations, all carrying the same furniture, lifted from a disused kindergarten by the sight of it. And the sight of it it is, because during daytime this is a dead spot, adding nothing of use to our high street. What it adds is a bunch of uncohering, garish colors, in an awkward bid to replicate the hip bits of Hackney. Geometric wall painting (straight lines in aqua and orange — that was easy, huh?) clashes with "old-school graffiti art" on the board and shutter, about as fancy as sleeping rough by the train tracks. A perfectly nauseating mix with the aforementioned furniture. As for the service, I don't know. I wouldn't want to go in and sit on a kid's chair, and play "assemble your hip food" on an ashtray sized table if they paid me.

What a lovely restaurant, abi was so welcoming and made us feel at home straight away. He even had some chi kofte made with cous cous and was delicious. Really fresh lovely dough with several different traditional Turkish toppings and flavours. The best thing was the Ayran tank constantly pouring 🫗 it tasted incredible. Thank you well be back soon Janer
