Gless bottles o Limeade an Barr's Irn-Bru The cigarette case (wi fags hidden noo). Armando's hauns chip at the order mountain and baptise his treats in his Trevi Fountain. The staff stay dead calm though the queue runs for miles as they serve salt an sauce wi slow-fading smiles. The food's cooked sae fresh it's nae bother tae wait in deep-fried Dunfermline ye're at heaven's gate. The punters are ayways a moveable feast wi stories tae tell ye the maist or the least. A quiet man whoops Hoops when they win the Old Firm says next door's Union Jack really makes him squirm. As a Mexican couple across on a whim waft right up the road fae the Holiday Inn a weathered auld worthy laughs 'that wis a peach: plenty mushies there under the copper beech'. Insiders pop heids in - haloed by the sun and grab somethin tasty tae munch on the run. Ma order is ready - I shuffle ma feet but turn at the door cos I feel bitter-sweet. The fish smells amazing - I'm no bein rude it's just that I'm no really here for the food. Although it's cash only I come tae spend time and blend in wi aw human life in the line. When ye just need a breather, this is the place tae abandon the rats and drap oot the race. The world spins and skelters so STOP - look aroon in the queue at Armando's - yer cue tae SLOW DOON.

Go a fish supper and the Bateer was terrible and the Fish was over cooked well what fish was in it. Don’t think it was fresh fish more like it had been frozen

The fish was excellent and the owners very hospitable and nice. Thank you very much for letting me try the Scottish sauce. I am now a fan of it!

Food was great. The drinks in the fridge were price Marked so I paid a pound for IRN BRU. I had a large fish supper a bottle of juice and a butterd roll for under a tenner. Smashing.

Wow this is a fantastic chip shop it's the way I remember them in the seventies .food is fantastic and staff are really nice got two fish suppers and onion rings but not farm foods they were made from real onions we were on holiday so unfortunately it's to far to get them as we are in Dundee but if we are back in Dunfermline again we will visit .going to tell my brother about this chip shop as he is in rosyth thank you again

Went to Armando’s for the first time tonight, fish supper, sausage supper and chicken nuggets supper all excellent quality, best I have ever tasted. Would certainly recommend.

First time visiting Admando’s Fish Bar. Definitely worth the trip. Tasty fish, chips and sausage with a decent buttered bread roll. Busy on a Thursday evening, which says a lot about the quality of the food. Cash only, for those who don’t usually carry any.

If you are on holiday and you are in the Halbeath, Fife area you have to stop at Armando's Fish and Chips. The food Is excellent and extremely delicious, the breading Is extremely crunchy and not oily ,the service is fast and staff are very welcoming. Cost Is the best in this area.

Take out only, cash only. Very good food, standard chippy menu, very crispy batter. Staff are polite, but the fact they cook to order means your food will be very fresh but when they're busy the queueing time becomes ridiculous. Bring a book as having 10 people in front of you means it will probably be around 45 minutes to get served - I wish I was joking!

You can't get more chippy than this chippy. Yes, prices have gone up but they've gone up everywhere. But the quality of the fish and batter is the best I've ever tasted. And they do Stornoway black pudding, where else does that? And at a stupidly cheap price. Cash only, but that just adds to the authenticity. We live near a popular competitor, but the smell from that place is enough for us to make the 10 min drive to Halbeath.

I can't believe these reviews, 4.7 stars? Well, I'll be honest. It was the worst fish and chips I have ever had. The cook, I assume, is Armando, wearing a dirty white vest, and the place was filthy. The food looked awful and was dry, and the batter was not crisp as it should have been the chips were oily and the sausage was mediocre. At the time, I thought it was a Scottish thing; it was early evening and getting dark, and we were hungry, so we didn't question it. But when we got back to the hotel we realised our mistake. The price of our mistake was £28.00 expensive? Yes, for a meal like that it was very expensive. If I ever go back to Scotland, I will steer clear of Armando's Fish Bar.

Ok I live on the road and im up and down the country like a yo yo and have had dinner from the local chippy probably in every part of the uk. And this hands down is the best fish chips and curry sauce I've ever had 100%.

Always great to find a good proper chippy. Husband and I have been going to this chippy for years and have never been disappointed. Had a chippy tea tonight , the first in well over a year. Was very tasty. We loved our fish suppers. Service is good and friendly too.

Wow, we are totally stuffed. Fish was lovely. 2 bits of fish for a large portion. Haggis amazing, two huge bits for 1 portion. Sausage is the same.
