Aqua Mediterranean Bar and Grill in Lewisham

Booked for Saturday 7th March after visiting Blackheath for the first time and happened to pass by the restaurant. When we arrived we were shown to a table which was a little cramped for a member of our party. With no hesitation we were shown to another table by the friendly staff. Our waiter Abdoul was an extremely helpful and cheerful guy and nothing was too much trouble. (We had to try several different wines before deciding on one). The food was excellent and plentiful and the atmosphere "buzzy" without being intrusive. All four of us were very happy with the service, quality of food and wine. 5 stars without question.

Went for dinner on Friday evening with work colleagues. Service was exceptional - the best I have experienced in a restaurant in a long time. Waiting staff polite, patient, friendly - even the chef stopped to chat when we met him on the stairs. Service with a smile and the cocktail (Amaretto sour) was sooo good. Everyone in the group was pleased with the quality of their food. Our manager couldn't be present but called and paid over the phone for prosecco to be delivered. This was brought over in a timely manner. Just a perfect balance of attentiveness and leaving us alone to relax/enjoy the food. I will definitely be back.

Took my wife here for Valentine's dinner. Starter of scallops came out cold. Gave her a second plate,this came out with a hair in it. Rack of lamb was chewy. Did give us one drink each on the house. Not happy. Would not go AGAIN.

Went to this restaurant for a family 21 birthday celebration with a party of 11 on a Monday night. The Monday offer was 2 for 1 on steak but on paying this was refused stating that it did not apply to Chateaubriand which 4 of the party had. There had been no mention of this being excluded from the offer. Whilst the meal was good in view of this we will not be returning despite it previously being a favourite.

Nicholas our server was absolutely delightful, very welcoming and talkative. Attentive to all our needs. Honestly such a hard working guy and catered to all of our needs. Honestly such a great guy.

European based food in pleasant but not overly formal dining room. Excellent staff and service, the food is good to very good at reasonable prices with an adequate wine list and chilled bottled beers. A great night out on swing night, sadly held too infrequently. Hear Sinatra sing for you in South East London! Overall, this is a nice, pleasant, good value restaurant in Blackheath Village which may not excite like Heston's, but will definitely not disappoint.

Been here twice in one week and am a regular. Food, service, cocktails are all wonderful. The staff are relaxed and friendly and deal with everything graciously. Very good value and surroundings just make this place excellent and I’m always happy to visit

I visited Aqua with a group of friends on Saturday. The table was booked for 8.00pm and we arrived within a few minutes. The waiter took our order and drinks arrived and all seemed fine. Our starters arrived about half an hour later which was a bit of a wait but it was a Saturday and we were in no hurry. Food was OK, nothing special, but OK. Plates were cleared and we waited, and waited, and waited. 2 hours after ordering there was still no sign of the main courses despite asking our waiter where the mains were. One of our party went to find the manager and was informed that they had an important party upstairs which had caused a delay in the kitchen. We waited another 10 mins then decided to leave. Still no food appeared. Only at this point did the manager bother to come to the table to settle the bill. There was no apology or any attempt to rectify the situation. Just a sullen attempt to deflect our dissatisfaction. I don't understand how a restaurant like this expects to survive in Blackheath's competitive dining scene with such a total lack of basic service. Do yourself a favour: AVOID.

I was out on a Saturday night with my friends. We didn't have any reservation but the manager, very kindly, managed to get us a nice table. I had the duck salad as starter and I really enjoyed it same as my main course. I opted for the swordfish. The dish was well presented and I would say that was one of the best that ever had! Two of my friends opted for a bottle of malbec and our waiter did his best to keep topping up for them. Drinks were amazing same as the service. I would definitely come back and I would suggest it as we had a lovely night.

Myself and a group of friends booked a meal at Aqua last Saturday evening, but the service was appalling and the manager had a contemptible attitude. When we arrived we were seated promptly but it took a while to get drinks ordered. We eventually gave our food order, and waited over 30 minutes for the starters, which were cold and average at best. We then waited a further 90 minutes (!) for our mains which never arrived, despite reassurances from the waiter that the food was on its way. We eventually spoke to the manager who said “I have an important table of 30 upstairs” and walked away. We obviously decided to leave and were even charged for all food/drink, not even a gesture of goodwill was made. I genuinely have never been in such a shockingly disorganised restaurant before, nor dealt with such a rude and unprofessional manager.

Well after hearing really a good reviews about this place I thought I would book for my father's birthday, On arrival we were greeted warmly by The manager who guided us thought the menu and wine, food was delicious and the only wish that we could have had room for 3 courses, The Rack of Lamb was amazing. We will definitely back. Thanks Aqua team.

Fantastic knowledgeable service. Super fresh delicious prawns. The mushroom risotto was fabulous. The shallops were perfectly cooked. Staff were also very friendly and attractive. We will definitely come back soon . Aqua is always my best restaurant.

A party of four ended up here by default. Headed by Nicholas, the staff were attentive, polite and reactive to requests and banter. Background music had excellent variety, covering many tastes and was loud enough to hear, soft enough to talk over. The bill was more than expected but we knew why when we got into the open air. And the food...... all plates were empty and despite some reviews, all bellies were full. The Seafood Tagliatelle was a fish in every mouthful and one of the best I have ever tasted. Would we go back.....absolutely but only if the team inside are not changed! A venue that provided ambience, music, Greta food and wine and brilliant service, what more could you ask for.....?

Too expensive they was out of bread for the soup the food was COLD and the menu was different to when we booked online. No waiters to be seen... very very small portions not enough to fill an ANTS belly up. PLEASE AVOID NOT WORTH TIME OR MONEY!!!!

I ordered the trio of dips that I've had at both Blackheath and Bromley whilst my friend ordered a salad. My bread was chewy and tough in places, akin to stale bread that had been reheated, and her salad had an odd curry taste to it. She asked for balsamic vinegar in the hope it would mask the taste but the salad was still inedible. After over 30 minutes, a waiter finally asked us if everything was ok as we had hardly touched our starters and we explained the food was not nice. The manager attended shortly after so we detailed exactly what was wrong with our dishes and offered him to taste for himself. He took our plates and said he would check with the chef but returned 5 minutes later saying the chef tried it and said there was nothing wrong with the food so that was that! We were stunned at his cold attitude and the fact his way of dealing with it was to get the person who made the food, try it and give his own opinion. I have had the trio of dips on more than one occasion and never has the houmous been so grainy, the tzatziki so sour or the bread so stale yet my taste or experience bore no relevance because "the chef tried it". The manager asked if we would like the same again and we both said no, no other alternative was offered and we felt rather put out. After another 30 minutes of being ignored, we finally called him over and asked if we were able to choose something else instead. To which he rolled his eyes and replied "that's what i asked you before and you said no". This was definitely not what was offered as we both heard him ask if we wanted the same dishes which would make no sense if the same chef was going to prepare it and felt there was no problem with the first batch! We gave our orders and they finally came. My friend ordered the caesar salad but requested the chicken be swapped out for halloumi as she's vegetarian so it was a shock then when he presented the caesar salad with a rasher of bacon on the top! We couldn't believe that someone would be so malicious, especially the manager of the establishment. When the bill arrived we were very surprised to see that the manager had not taken off the second order and instead gave us 50% off the inedible first round of starters. When I questioned him about this he was dismissive and stated we were lucky to get anything off. I politely explained that when we had asked for the replacement dishes, he agreed it was instead of, however he claimed that he had taken the service charge off and that should be enough because at no point did he offer another dish "instead" of. It is a shame that your manager believes that because I am a woman, I do not know my rights. It is a bigger shame that he felt the need to belittle me with snide comments in front of other diners to prove his incorrect point. The law states that food and drink served in a restaurant must be of satisfactory quality and as described on the menu. Food should look reasonably presentable and taste good. If it does not, the restaurant is in breach of contract and diners are well within their rights to ask for it to be changed or refuse to pay for that dish. When I offered to pay the price of the amended bill (£28 instead of £35) he told me I had to pay the full price even though I explained that had he have initially been honest and said he would only take half the cost off, we would not have continued dining there. He started to raise his voice and called me a thief for trying to pay, what by law, I was entitled to pay. So I told him if he didn't want the money I would just walk out. He then changed his tune and changed the price on the card machine, shoved it towards me then barked that I was on camera and he would be contacting the police. I welcomed him to as I'd have explained to them that as I had done nothing wrong, I felt harassed and bullied based on my gender and colour. I asked for my receipt, which he threw in my direction and then told me never to return as my "kind" wasn't welcome there.

We just love this Mediterranean restaurant . The food, drinks and music was very good. The service was Made to measure. We will definitely come back again...

We went for my father-in-law's birthday and we left embarrassed for having suggested this place. Really unpleasant experience... "seafood salad" made only of chewy squid with tons of mayonnaise... bland, tasteless vegetables with the main course. Only nice thing were the Yorkshire puddings. Served the wrong items more than once (main course and desert), but that's no surprise if the chef waiter doesn't bother writing down the orders.

Disfruté un almuerzo fijo en el restaurante hermano de Aqua en Bromley hace un año o dos, sobre todo porque tenía un precio competitivo. The terrible reviews about this place is very true. I wished I read them first before trying it because we would have saved ourselves a lot of time.So you have been warned.

Normalmente vamos la mayoría de los domingos por la tarde para la selección de cenas asadas, carne de res, cordero y panceta de cerdo. Siempre tenemos la carne de res y cordero para que pueda compartir un poco de cada uno, y todo por 17 por 2 platos, dinero bien gastado. El asado se sirve hasta las 16:30, así que llegue antes de las 16:00 para obtener lo que desea. También tiene un extenso menú para cualquier otra cosa.

I visited this restauraunt with my family today. We were greeted with waitress who was forceful and pulling faces at us. Her colleague was polite and couldn't do enough for us. At the end of our meal, I asked waiter if he would mind taking a family photo. He refused as he said he was too busy. I paid over over £170.00 for 6 of us, for tidy portions of food. Would I come back? No chance. In my opinion, overpriced and overrated.

The best restaurant in blackheath. I have just had an amazing meal, pork belly tempura to start and the most amazing braised rib of beef for the main which was one of the best meals I’ve ever had. Really good value too. Good friendly service also from Abdul, Alexandra and Riges.

Me and my friend always come here for dinner, everyone knows out table and they keep if for us every time we book. The food is always amazing and the cocktails to die for. Also the service and everyone at Aqua are professional and it is a pleasure to always return

I attended this lovely restaurant with family and friends to celebrate our sons 30th birthday. We dined in the private upstairs room and hall had a 3 course pre -booked meal. The food, drinks and service were excellent. Will definitely return.

We love the Petts Wood branch of this restaurant, and decided to try here as it was close to the venue where we were attending a show. However we were very disappointed.

I would highly recommend Aqua Bar and Grill Blackhealth.

Really excellent meal enjoyed by three of us in our first time in this restaurant in Blackheath. We bypassed starters and mains were kleitkife, slow cooked rib of beef and swordfish steak. Wow! Delicious. A side of courgette fries was a revelation. Dessert of poached pear and a generous cheese plate with coffees was £115 great value.

Nice evening and settings. The service was really great. The cocktails amazing. I would say the sea food platter was a little mediocre and lacked flavour. My meal was great 😍 the duck meal full of flavour, I’d say exceptional.

No hemos estado aquí durante más de un año, ¡sin ninguna razón aparte de literalmente olvidar que está ahí! Tengo que decir que fue una elección perfecta para la tarde / la madrugada! La comida era excelente, fresca, bien cocinada, sencilla pero muy sabrosa (el entrante meze, las albóndigas y la berenjena fueron las más destacadas) y el souvlaki y los platos principales de costilla eran solo sabrosos y nos dejaron preguntándonos por qué no vamos más a menudo. ¡Volveremos muy pronto! ¡El vino era bueno, el servicio excelente y simplemente completó un fin de semana festivo de la manera perfecta!

First time I went there we were just looking for a meal midweek and thought we’d give it a go. Mum had the veal and said it was delicious. I had the steak and that was perfectly cooked. Thoroughly enjoyed the evening. Pleasant surroundings and Karina, our waitress, was very friendly. We have been there two more times since and were equally impressed each time. Will definitely be going back and would recommend to others.

Have to say really enjoyed the food and the lively atmosphere. Good choice of food on the menu. Scallops were excellent. Would have given 5 stars but waited 15 minutes to order drinks and 20 minutes to order food. Service other than initial wait was great. Would definitely reccomend

Meal for two, it was ok. Nothing to rave about. I chose handcooked chips which tasted bad, VERY obviously not fresh, pre cooked and reheated. Spoilt the meal. Coke served in bottles were warm and not chilled.

My daughter took me here for mother’s day. While I thought the food was nice the service was terrible. Everything was fine until we had realised that she had paid too much, and when she called to rectify this issue not only was she told she was wrong she was spoken to in a disgusting manner. And my I just add that my daughter is 32 and 8 months pregnant. I work in sales myself and inderstand how important customer service is. I felt this was dealt with in a rude and abrupt manner. I would not recommend this restaurant and I will not be going back

took my mum for a mothers day meal, along with my dad and little sister, who is 10. I had paid a deposit before to make sure we secured a table. paying the bill and leaving I didn't check the price I just paid, believing they would charge me correctly, also being 37 weeks pregnant my mind doesn't think properly. once I got home I looked at the receipt and see that 1) they had charged a 10 year old for the price of an adult meal (which at the time of seating he informed us child's menu is half price as it was a set menu for the day) and 2) my deposit wasn't taken off the bill.

Visited this place a couple of days ago with my son and his wife who had dined there before. We booked a table for 7:30 and by 8pm the restaurant was pretty packed out so it was a wise move not to leave it to chance. I chose the calamari for a starter which was beautifully cooked and a generous portion. My main was the prawn spaghetti with lots of parmesan, also a delicious choice and one that I'd recommend. Montepulciano d'Abruzzo wine was a perfect accompaniment to the dishes and the lemon sorbet helped our full stomachs! The decor is peaceful and the waiter was pleasant and accommodating without being intrusive. Would definitely love to go again one day!

We had a lovely lunchtime meal here after a walk around Greenwich. We both opted for the 2 course set lunchtime menu (£12) There is a 3 course option priced at £15.

I was so happy to visit this restaurant. I just went in based on the menu that was on display. I really fancied a steak and the Chateaubriand looked very inviting. It was truly fantastic! We had the most wonderful chunky chips (really chunky) and a broccoli in garlic and herbs with a side salad. One of the nicest meals that I have had in a long time. I would highly recommend this restaurant. The staff were really great Excellent value for money too! .

Had a Sunday lunch here lately and it being Sunday we ordered roasts. My husband had lamb and I had seared roasted chicken. Both excellent, with large portions and accompanied with vegetables. My husband's lamb had yorkshire pudding - super and crispy on the outside - which he shared as it was pretty huge. For starters we had spring rolls of some sort and puddings tiramisu and pannacotta, both good. At £15 for two courses and £17 for three it is excellent value for money. Service a little slow but overall pretty good.

Went for a family meal on Saturday night, our waitress was absolutely brilliant and a credit to the restaurant....if i remember rightly her name was Alexandra

My girlfriend and I were having a wander round Blackheath and popped in here for lunch. We were delighted.

Delicious meal and an all round great night. We went for the seafood side of the menu prawn linguine crab salad mixed fish platter and all superb and great presentation. Service was spot on friendly and attentive and at £50 per head for all we had including wine and drinks we’re more than happy.

Not only were the staff accommodating and friendly throughout all of the preparations but on the night they were so thoughtful and helped to make the night such an amazing success. Ferdi, especially, ran around all night serving our lovely food & was so friendly to all of the guests and helped to put everyone at ease. I've been here several times before and will continue to visit with my family in the future.

I used to like this place and on each occasion I had dinner there as it's not far from home. I booked a table for a dinner. For 35 min I haven't been served no water no any drinks . And when I eventually find one waitress and asked what is going on (the place was empty not busy) manager came to "talk" to me. I was choked of his behaviour and I asked his name as this is first experience I still can't forget. He said he will not give his name and he is a manager and he can do whatever he want and if I am not happy I have to leave. I left immediately and never returned. Manager was dark tall guy.

He estado en este restaurante en numerosas ocasiones en el pasado y nunca me ha decepcionado con el servicio. Por este motivo decidí que era el lugar perfecto para cenar con mi mamá. El restaurante estaba lleno y cuando llegamos pedimos una mesa para dos. El camarero nos dejó caer bruscamente en una mesa junto a la puerta. Acepté ya que no habíamos reservado, no tendríamos la mejor opción de asiento, ¡pero sentí que su actitud era completamente innecesaria! Unos momentos después, sin embargo, un hombre llegó con su compañero pidiendo una mesa para dos y recibió una respuesta mucho más cálida. Luego esperamos años para que nos proporcionen los menús y durante la noche nos ignoraron en numerosas ocasiones, de hecho, tuve que llamarlo a la mesa después de 30 a 40 minutos para ordenar. Cuando finalmente habíamos pedido nuestra comida llegó sin embargo mi plato de acompañamiento había sido olvidado. Mis papas estaban duras (no comestibles) y francamente el resto de la comida era mediocre en el mejor de los casos! Lo comenté con el gerente y él no pareció molesto y dijo a regañadientes que se lo haría saber al chef. Para ser honesto, ¡no tenía mucha confianza en que él lo hiciera! Esta experiencia ha cambiado completamente mi opinión de este restaurante. No voy a volver Mi consejo si quieres un buen bistec un par de puertas en Tziganos mucho mejor servicio y la comida es de una calidad mucho mayor.

Si pudiera dejar 0 estrellas lo haría, absoluta vergüenza de un restaurante. Tuvimos una comida navideña aquí que era mediocre en el mejor de los casos, esperamos 45 minutos para nuestros entrantes, 30 minutos para nuestra primera bebida. La comida era extremadamente insípida y como grupo han sido cargados en exceso. Hemos estado en disputa directamente con el restaurante con respecto a la factura, después de pagar un depósito de 140 (que no creemos que se desprendió de la factura final). Aparentemente, tenemos que esperar una copia de nuestra factura para poder ver si corresponde con lo que pagamos, ¡hemos esperado cerca de 2 meses para esto! Además, tuve el desafortunado placer de tener que tratar con el rudo y arrogante gerente de esta sucursal de Aqua para tratar de obtener esto. Ahora estamos tratando directamente con la oficina central, ya que el restaurante parece incapaz de comunicarse con ellos. ¡EVITAR! !

We had no intention of eating out yesterday but as we passed the restaurant it looked too tempting to walk past.

Mi novio y yo asistimos regularmente a Aqua a partir de 2015: la comida era excelente y la camarera (una joven rubia) era excelente y se convirtió rápidamente en nuestra comida favorita. Sin embargo, las últimas veces que hemos estado nos ha sentado el gerente del restaurante que es grosero y desatento. El restaurante estaba tranquilo y nos pidieron nuestras bebidas y pedimos un par de minutos. Suspiró y no volvió a nuestra mesa cuando lo llamamos después de esperar 20 minutos. Dijo que vine y usted no estaba listo. Cuando pedimos nuestra factura, mencionamos que teníamos que tomar un tren; esperamos 15 minutos y luego caminamos hacia el frente para pagar, en el cual él volvió a ser grosero con sus modales.

The food was absolutely delicious and the service was second to none. A fabulous evening, I’m going back again very soon

This restaurant improves with every visit. I have been a few times but went on Saturday and had some of the best food i’ve Had for a while. 10 of us ate and all really enjoyed the evening. Good service, well prepared food and at long last the desert lived up to the main meal! If you are looking for a place to eat look no further

Was at Aqua Blackheath with my other half over the weekend and as usual the food didn’t disappoint. The manager, Ferdi, personally attended to us ensure that everything was okay. Other staff we go attended to us were curtious and polite. Atmosphere was very nice and even though it was busy everything went smoothly for us. Thanks to Ferdi and his team.

We booked for 12 people, sadly 2 couldn’t make it but we’d paid 10 deposits ahead already. The managers attitude toward the missing two was instantly rude. We could see he was stressed so tried to joke with him, received an arrogant reply. Whilst taking our orders he felt we were taking too long to order so snatched the menu out of one of the ladies hands and told her she was taking to long!! I’ve never seen anything like it!!!!! He then got an order wrong, we waited too long for drinks. When the bill arrived we inform him we wouldn’t be paying the service charge (which i’ve never refused to pay before), he then got angry telling me I couldn’t do that and I had to pay the service charge (no apology just starting arguing). He then snatched the receipt back and walked off, finally bringing another bill with the service charge removed.

Took my friends in for a meal, and only had table at 10pm. They refused to serve us alcohol, which we did not understand as we’d only had one drink prior.

Visited here Friday night for Christmas meal.the food and service were excellent. The Jacobs ladder and scallops is to die for. I will definitely be revisiting again with family next time.and I have to say very attentive and helpful managers and staff. Don't forget guys the cocktails are amazing

Had a table booked at 9pm was told to come back in 30mins as table wasn’t ready! On our return, table still wasn’t ready. Was asked to wait at the bar... no service! 10mins later we were shown to the table.. with no menus! Another 10 mins passed, finally we was asked if we wanted a menu and a drink. Eventually our order was taken, waiter was lovely and very helpful. Our food arrived, nothing special! Was hugely disappointed with my visit this evening, I’ve been to aqua many times but I will never return! The attitude of the management wasn’t what I expected especially after been kept waiting for so long!

Went to this restaurant with colleagues for Christmas dinner. Very warm welcome from the staff, especially Ferd the turkish guy the service was very good and food excellent. Would go there again.

Charged £4 for every drinks order, hair in scallops, repeatedly overcharged, manager drunk and rude.

We turned up on Sunday evening after their Sunday roast service had finished, the busy staff checked and said they could still serve my wife the roast she wanted (and very much enjoyed) and I stuck with a nice seafood pasta. Very nice starter too. But it was the atmosphere and service which really impressed us, perhaps slightly assisted by some happy and friendly other customers, with some delightful and well behaved young children. The approach of the waiting staff reminded us of a quayside Mediterranean restaurant in sunny and warmer climates, we eventually left feeling warmer and sunnier ourselves, thanks!

We had the set menu, which was good value. The roast beef was delicious, perfectly cooked (you could choose from rare to well done) and the yorkshire pudding was light and huge. Roast potatoes and veggies completed it well.

Esta fue mi segunda visita, esta vez el cumpleaños de la esposa, nos saludó el gerente cuando entramos. Todo fue muy jovial. Supongo que los dos tipos principales son los dueños, tanto yo como la esposa tenían entrantes, ambos eran absolutamente delicioso ! Como era el principal y el dulce, no importa lo que teníamos, todo estaba bien presentado y no podía encontrar ningún defecto, definitivamente iré allí por tercera vez.

I rung Aqua up during the week to question what time the Monday - Saturday Lunch menu was available until and was left waiting for a manager to come onto the phone, and when I asked he bluntly answered 5pm, last orders 4:30pm and hung up!! I let it go as I thought maybe they were busy, and booked a reservation for 4:15 to make sure we could get the set menu. We arrived at 4pm, only to be told our table had been lost as we didn't answer our phone? ( we had NO missed calls and the number was 100% correct). They seated us anyway, and gave us the general restaurant menu. I asked if we could have the set menu to which the waiter responded 'we finished it at 4 today', I politely stated what i was told on the phone during the week, to which he replied 'yes well we finished it early today'!! Completely and utterly rude and a total let down to our plans! we walked out without a sorry or a goodbye! Definitely wouldn't recommend, however if you wander 3 minutes up the road to ZeroDegrees you will get much better service and amazing food :)

We were a group of 4 wanting dinner post fireworks in blackheath. We didnt have a reservation so weren't expecting to be seated. We were told a table was ready, then left standing at the door amd around people eating for ten minutes. Which was awkward and uncomfortable.

Went last night with my family, the food was alright but very expensive for the quality and amount served. and the service was bad..first they took ages to bring one of the starters out or it seemed they had forgotten and for the main again they forgot one of the plates, after we finished the plate finally arrived. 3 of the mix grill plates didn’t have the full amount of meat it described in the menu... the waiter every time he picked up a plate from behind you breathed into the back of your neck which was very unpleasant, I don’t know if this was done on purpose?.. We also got charged a 12.5% service charge which definitely was not deserved and a rip off... We wouldn’t come back.

9 of our family were there to celebrate a 30th birthday, the restaurant decor is fresh and with Mediterranean appearance and clean, the waiting staff were attentive without “hovering “ some of us ordered starters , which all came up after not too long all well presented and well cooked , drinks were served promptly, then we ordered the mains I ordered a mixed grill , when it came up I must admit it wasn’t huge and if I am honest probably a little over priced at £22.50 however is was nicely prepared and cooked and I did enjoy it , only a couple of us had sweets I had Ferraro Roche cheesecake which was really nice not too sweet and just enough, towards the end of the meal my Father-in-law who has Parkinson’s needed to use the bathroom, I asked if they had a disabled toilet but they haven’t both toilets are in the basement, so two of us had to accompany him one in front and one at the back to follow him up and down the steep stairs so bare this in mind if anyone has problems with stairs , overall I would go again.

Have visited here few times now & really like this place. Lunch time is definitely good value for money. Lovely food & nice polite staff.

Stopped in for drinks and dessert - no problem getting a table, service was quick, food good, prices reasonable.

Went for a late lunch on Tuesday around 1630, food was average, but what was really bad was the service, and the worst is that it looked that it was the manager who was serving me. He was rude, took very long to take my order, didn’t do service check... didn’t really deserve the service charged at all! Not going back

Had a lovely warm welcome. Lunchtime special menu good value for money. Would definatly come again and recommend.

I went with my wife, Son and Daughter-in-Law on a Saturday evening, not the best start as we were sat near a screaming child and useless parents, service was good but a little slow, food was tasty but nothing I haven't experienced in most Turkish/kebab grills, my main gripe was the cost, of both food and drink, £8 for the cheapest gin and tonic, I know they are in Blackheath but I've had cheaper drinks in Central London and I'm sure the rates and rent are higher there, £22.50 for the mixed grill which consisted of 1 chicken shish skewer, 2 small lamb cutlets, a tiny piece of steak and the smallest Greek sausage you could find, 6 chips and garnish, for that kind of money, I expect much more, it's unfortunate as it is in a great location but it has been spoiled by greed, I won't be returning and I would recommend anyone reading this to try Saraay in Welling or the Meze bar in Bexleyheath, a better meal and great value.

This is a very nice Mediterranean restaurant in Southeast London. The food was absolutely delicious and cooked to perfection, everyone in my party was satisfied. Good wine list and amazing preservation. The atmosphere was also amazing, great for both families and couples, and with a great service, very friendly and polite. It's a great restaurant, not too expensive, and definitely worth a visit.

I had a birthday party in a private room upstairs or 25 people. Nothing was too much troouble for the stall here who had a range of reaonable priced menus to choose from and even added some special requests. The room was spacious enough for about 40 people and was arranged precicely to seat my verious parties of guests.. The staff were happy to serve us drinks and let us play our own music for several hours after the meal until closing time. I would certainly recomend for a medium sized function as the food and hospitality was superb.

My partner and I stumbled across this restaurant for a special birthday meal. We are new to the area and thought the half price steak sounded good. The head waiter, who takes the orders and prepares the bill is really rude. We waited for ages to get a drinks order. It was embarrassing, I was literally twiddling my thumbs. I then asked for a description of what a starter was like and he was so rude back to me, not explaining it at all that in panic I over-ordered as he made me feel uncomfortable. The food was good to be fair and on that basis I would definitely have returned. For this reason I looked past his rudeness. I have encountered attitudes from waiters in Paris, but it is always done with a glint in their eye, not the same as with this waiter. The restaurant was half full so I dont he was stressed from that, it wasnt if I could tell he was obviously stretched. The waitress and other waiter who were obviously junior to him were lovely and very professional. I had mentioned in passing to them that it was my partners birthday. After I had said this, I had noticed a big table was also celebrating a birthday and the waiters brought out a complimentary desert for them. I thought that this was nice and wasnt expecting them to do the same for us as we were a much smaller table. We then waited for ages for the bill and had to ask twice. In the end I watched the head waiter scrutinize our bill before he gave it to us and I noticed that he had charged us £2 for a child's brownie (our complimentary desert!). On purpose of course. It really upset us, such a cheap move to add £2 to our bill! I didnt complain as it was obviously been his intention and couldn't deal with a battle. We had actually spent a lot of money there. Hopefully if you go, you wont encounter this rudeness. I dont usually put things up on line but this was shocking. I have the bill if in any doubt. I would like to go again, but on principle dont feel able.

The decor inside is very pretty and cosy. Lights are dim and gives off a chilled vibe. The staff are very helfpul and friendly. The cocktails and food are great. The seafood dishes are lovely.

Visited here for the first time last weekend as wanted to try somewhere new for dinner. Lovely restaurant - attentive and polite staff, nice atmosphere and gorgeous food. Will definitely be back!

Just called in for lunch today, the exterior was clean, the decor wasn't cheesy. The staff were smart and to the point . Service was second to none. Menus were pleasing, food looked and tasted excellent. Thankyou for a lovely experience

Walked in on a Friday night and were able to get a table for 2. As it has been really hot lately, it was disappointing to be sat near the front door, as smoke was wafting in from the patrons congregating outside. I am always suspicious about menus that seem to do a lot, I prefer pick a thing and do it very well. But I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. Me and my companion both ordered a pasta dish to start- both slightly on the small size, but cooked very well. We then ordered Jacob's ladder (slow braised rib of beef served with lardons of bacon and creamy mash), which was very tasty. The roasted cod supreme was serviced with courgette fires and chorizo. It was very tasty, but unfortunately the dish was drenched in oil- think this was the courgette fries, but not sure. This was a real shame. However, the most unfortunate part of the evening was the Maître D. As the front of house, he is representing the face of the restaurant and welcoming us into the establishment- but he was unpleasant, unfriendly, unaccommodating and seemed to be really frazzled. He was better as the night progressed, but to be honest by then it was too late for him to save our impression of him. Despite this, I would come again. I would be less annoyed about it, as I would be expecting this.

Reservamos para un viernes por la tarde y aunque cuando llegamos el restaurante estaba bastante vacío, a 30 minutos de nuestra llegada fue muy concurrido, así que recomendaría. El estacionamiento también puede ser un problema en Blackheath, así que tiempo para encontrar una plaza de aparcamiento. En el menú hay una gran variedad de entrantes y platos principales que están a un precio razonable. Tuve el chipriota albóndigas seguido por el terneros hígados, que eran perfectamente preparada y muy sabrosa. Nuestro camarero tenía un gran sentido del humor incluso hasta llegar a probar nuestra botella de agua del grifo, el vino era también razonable. Todos sin duda volveremos.

Tomó mis hijos grand para una comida, había estado en Aqua antes y de nuevo fue una buena elección de lugar. Entre nosotros tuvimos varios entrantes ensalada de pato crujiente, albóndigas y calamares todos eran buenos. Principales tuvimos pasta, Jacobs escalera y costillar de cordero de nuevo todo el mundo estaba encantado con su elección. Muy buen servicio por nuestro camarero amable.

We went for my daughter’s birthday and was greeted by a wonder waiter called Deco (apologies if wrongly spelt). He was polite and attentive (my husband said he had never had such a great waiter, saying something). Although the food is reasonably priced, the drinks are not, but the overall meal and service was excellent. Deco even brought my daughter a slice of chocolate brownie with a candle and got the whole restaurant singing

Hemos estado antes y regresaré! Un gran servicio si hay sólo 2 de nosotros o 10. . 7. Nos previsto para este fin de semana para un cumpleaños familiar. Pero otros 3 se unió al grupo en el último minuto y fue sin ningún problema, gracias a Fethi. La comida estaba recién preparado y llegó rápidamente. Buen servicio y ambiente animado. Servicio amable como siempre de Fethi y Nico.

Disfrutamos muchísimo de la cena aquí recientemente. El servicio era bueno y la comida era deliciosa, pero el mejor era el cóctel.

Recientemente fui a Aqua en Blackheath para mi cumpleaños, con mi mejor amigo. Elegí el restaurante ya que estaba de visita para el fin de semana y me gustó la variedad en el menú.

Perfect dinner meal! Our waiter was so polite attentive and friendly (Deco was his name!), the steak was nice and great value at 50% off on Mondays too.

I visited here for lunch & ordered a 2 course meal for £15 which is really good value for money. The food & dessert was delicious & staff are really polite & friendly. The restaurant is really nicely decorated & definitely recommend this nice place. Will be coming back again very soon.
