Apollonia Greek Cuisine in Milton Keynes

Absolutely cracking Greek good. From the Greek salad to the gyros, it was outstanding. The service was quick with no fuss, and we all enjoyed the amazing food. 🇬🇷

Grossly disappointed , My previous visit in restaurant and takeaway encouraged Me to try again. We’ve had lamb souvlas a few times too. This time was very poor , food was greasy , sloppy chips , half a chicken was like the scraps of the chicken and bones . Taste of what meat was there was good, scrumptious even but like they scrimped and saved on the meat , would rather a smaller portion but at least meat in my dinner , proves you can cook better at home sometimes . Lamb was horrendous , bones of ribs no meat , literally about 2 bites on 4 pieces of 4 racks of ribs , the meat was awful and for £18 they should be ashamed . No apology , or acknowledgement when called . Good luck in the town loads of other places to eat out and takeaway with wonderful service compared to This . Offered to get a free lamb souvas later in the week, which I don’t believe and as we don’t eat out often or Get takeaway this wasn’t good enough.

Amazing authentic Greek cuisine!🇬🇷 I visited all the way from the Caribbean -Trinidad and Tobago 🇹🇹 , my brother in law is Greek and wanted to take us out for authentic Greek food and this did not disappoint! It was AH-Mazing!🤩 The atmosphere is very family friendly, the Greek food was delicious!! And the portion sizes were definitely family friendly/shareable. Fantastic value for money. Our server was attentive and very friendly. Try the authentic Greek sodas and the pork souvlaki!!! This was my first time trying tzatziki and it was SOOOO good! The Saganaki was definitely my favorite of the night! Take the family platter to share as there are Soo many different foods/flavors to try and all were so good. Will definitely visit again & i'll bring the rest of my Trinidad family! Beware of the ouzo! That's one strong drink!🫣😝

We ordered the chicken souvlaki and lamb mixed grill, both of which were delicious and cooked just right. The interior is beautifully designed, with a lovely glass roof that adds to the ambiance. The service from our waitress was excellent—friendly, attentive, and made us feel very welcome. The music added to the relaxing vibe, making for a perfect dining atmosphere. Overall, great food, great service, and a fantastic mood.

It's OK place and nice reasonable menu. Good for children too. More like cafe style as opposed to restaurant.

Rating: ★★★★☆ Had a takeout for 9 people from Apollonia Greek Cuisine, and overall, I was quite impressed. The order came close to £100, but the quality and taste made it worth it. We decided to collect it ourselves to avoid the risk of cold food from delivery services like Deliveroo or Uber. We ordered a good variation of dishes, all of which were tasty and well-cooked. The portion sizes were more than acceptable. I found the mixed grill to be great and nicely cooked, and the chicken skewers were delicious. Overall, I was happy with the order, which only took 30 minutes to prepare. I will try and visit for a sit-in experience next time, but overall, it was nice food and definitely worth a try.

Food was cold and congealed by the time it reached us which was at least 20 mins after they had advised it was on its way -it’s half a mile away. Driver parked outside our house for a long time before trying to deliver it. Very disappointed.

Have literally just eaten from here. I love Greek food and have been to the islands a number of times. I ordered a chicken gyros and it was just perfection from the first mouthful right up to the last and just took me back to my first one in Rhodes. The service was excellent and a really friendly atmosphere. If you haven't been here and are thinking about it, stop thinking and just go.

I have been visiting this restaurant since 2022 and i have to admit that the food is great like no other Greek Food store in Milton Keynes. Service is wonderful and staff is very friendly. I cant wait till I get the opportunity to visit again. I appreciate charbroiled meat very much , something rare to find these days.

Taking tooooo long waste of time for 3 wraps ! Waiting there for at least 50 mins they wasn’t busy at all and they been giving priority to some other customers that they turned up 15 mins after us. Food was good tho service was fair as well !

A repeat visit with my group of friends. The food is great and the portions are massive. Great value for money! Staff were very welcoming and nothing was too much to ask. Would highly recommend

We live locally and return here time after time. The food is great quality and the service is superb. Often we start with the Meze which has a great selection for both my wife and I and also for the children (of various ages) and is a great start to the evening meal. We tend to then have either the Gyros, Souvlaki (chicken or pork) or Moussaka but have tried a range of items (Bifteki, Kleftiko, amongst others) over the years. The service has always been great, friendly and prompt. Having been to Greece a number of times, it is lovely to have somewhere in NP that brings back those memories!

Well we're do we begin , went to this Greek restaurant sat down with my friend to try some lovely Greek food only to be met by a hostile waitress after realising that just how rude she was we decided to stand up and leave. After a few hour on reflection we decided to call restaurant to speak manger guess who pick up the phone to our surprise the same rude waitress refused to let us speak to the manager, this women needs to go back to training or be shack, never have I witness such poor service in all my 53 years.

Worst Greek we have had in MK. The Gyros had no chicken about five chips and a watery vinegary sauce just pooling out of it. Not sure if it was because it was a takeaway but the portions looked children’s size. Extremely disappointed after reading all the other reviews.

50 / 50 My previous visit encourage Me to try Luncheon -How ever I choose BBQ Half Chicken & Chips which consisted mostly Chicken on the Bones No sight or taste of any Breast of Chicken " Pity" Hopefully it will improve if I visit again

This place is excellent… very authentic & delicious food (I am Greek so I know). The Lamb Yuvesti is perfect, and the Gyros is just like in Greece. Must try!

Lovely and attentive staff, delicious greek food you defenitively have to try! I didnt expect such a nice experience thinking this was only take away but i was so wrong. They had decorated the tables so nicely with candles and hearts all over the place, and I also recived a red rose ! Thanks to the staff that made my evening so special, I will sure be back soon.

As words can summarise this place is a hidden treasure. Best spot on high street wleven take away or dine in, you are definitely going to be surprised by the welcoming staff and the authenticity of the food. Fresh homemade dishes, greek drinks and most importantly a warm and friendly staff. Can not recommend enough!

Amazing and authentic Greek food with large portions too! Highly recommend the Meze platter for two to give you a flavour of many dishes. The servers were fast and friendly and the prices reasonable.

i dont know how people give stars to this shop i just went for first time and they served us souvlas lamb probably 2 days ago cooked dry and crispy they warm it up and when they served us the meat was cold everything at the end i had food poisoning (i had nothing all day but because i was hungry i had to eat it ) .. nothing fresh all frozen be aware!

Booked a table for this evening and was warmly welcomed, however, it went downhill from there. We ordered two very simple meals, both bland and tasteless, though the fly in the restaurant thought otherwise so maybe we should've just let the fly tuck in, or maybe the bug in the glass on the table. When the waitress asked if the food was okay after seeing that we had barely touched it, we let her know that unfortunately the food was bland and tasteless, in which she tried to defend the blandness. A second waitress soon came over and asked again, in which we explained the same. And the chips... Cold, soggy, McCains chips. Unfortunately after being truthful about what was wrong with the meal we were met with rude looks and a urgency to pay and leave due to feeling uncomfortable. Beware, do not take disappointed costumers well.

Beautiful restaurant with really welcoming staff. The food was delicious and a generous portion size, some of the drinks were a little pricey but the cocktails were reasonably priced. If I could improve one thing it would be to have photos of the dishes on the menu to help us choose (some dishes have photos on the online menu but not all).

Best Greek cuisine in Milton Keynes. My boyfriend introduced me to this restaurant and he brings me here when I feeling Greeky lol. I love the deco, cosyness and Greek love music in the background. Matilda always has a smile and makes me feel welcome. Nothing is too much to ask. I was here during Easter and got to taste kokoretsi. The Dakos salad is my go-to order. The prices are affordable and the portions big.

We popped in for a takeaway but took a table instead. It was our first visit and it didn't disappoint. Fabulous food and plenty of it. Great service, will definitely be back!

Not sure five stars cut it if I'm honest, doesn't feel adequate enough. From the moment we entered to the minute we left I just felt such a glowing sensation. The young girl who seated us and catered to us throughout was so lovely, the food was immense, I haven't tasted anything quite so authentic outside of the Mediterranean and the authentic atmosphere and decor just topped it all off. The only let down and in no way a bad mark against the business, was the number of rude, jumped up customers that came in whilst we were there. It's bad enough when abroad seeing British arrogance but when we have visitors from abroad who have better manners than the locals, it's just downright embarrassing. They literally cost nothing and you don't even have to mean it, just makes you look a better person. Thank you so much to everyone at Apollonia, I just wish we didn't live so far away.

Great food and very friendly staff. I told them about food allergies on the booking and they had a plan in place when we arrived. Highly recommended.

I visited here as I didn’t have many options passing through. Having visited a couple of times before with varying degrees of enjoyment. The food is very greasy. And out of all the Greek places I have eaten it ranks the lowest. The kebip is really bad, so so greasy and inedible. The chef looks kind of angry all the time, not very welcoming. The lady serving was lovely and the chap helping her near the coffee bar. Inside is decked out really well though. Looks nice and I know not all the food is awful. I have had the sandwich before and that was reasonable but inconsistent. They look like they do spit roast lamb in the evenings so would be interested to try that but don’t think I’ll be back.

We called in as a dinner stop from the M1. Great choice. We had souvlaki wraps and were in and out in half an hour. Lovely food, and friendly, quick service. Newport Pagnell is a lovely little town, by the way.

We are disappointed. We ordered Pork kontosouvli. They told us they don’t have pork but lamb. We accepted. The lamb looks really dark and very dry . No taste. Unfortunately, it costs £ 15,20.

I’ve been here quite a few times, but not for a year or so, it’s great to report that the great quality of food and service has been maintained. For excellent Greek good at realistic prices this is the place to go. Tasty, fresh, generous quantities. Highly recommended.

A horrible experience today! We’ve ordered for take away 2 chicken bbq and chicken souvlaki box with no onions and we were very surprised when opened our boxes at home. There were a box of mix meet with no veg, a box of chicken souvlaki with little bit of veg but lots of onions and box of tasteless chicken bbq. All wrong! Disappointed! Not coming back anymore.

When we brought it to the attention of the waitress she defended the chicken, stating it's the best chicken in the area, I don't think she has been next door at the Indian Restaurant where the food is very good quality?! We were given a replacement meal of chicken gyros which was alright, but nothing special. Soon as we had complained they looked at us differently and made us feel uncomfortable. The chef could have come over, but instead walked past without saying a word! When the bill came we would have expected the chicken skewers to have been deducted but nope they expected us to pay the full amount. Needless to say we will not be back, very poor restaurant.

The best Greek food I have tried in Milton Keynes. Apollonia, a must try if you love traditional Greek food. Apollonia salad and Briam. Will definitely come back.

This place is a hidden gem. It's absolutely the best place I've ever had lamb at the meat was so tender and soft that the bones were soft. Every bite was immensely tasty and the whole thing was £12 I feel like the owners are ripping themselves off for giving me such a tasty dish for an incredibly low price

Great great great. I have been going to this restaurant since it oppened. I have all ways had good service and the food has been very nice. I have also had takeaways. The staff are very accommodating and friendly. I would highly recommended this lovely little greek restaurant. I can honestly say that all the times I have eaten there I could not find anything wrong. The prices are very responsible. It is very clean. Your never rushed. Go on give it a go.

Had a great meal, the chicken gyros skepasti was very good and same as the one you get in Greece. Excellent desserts too, good portions. Greek beers on the menu, definitely a plus. Staff were friendly and the decor was very welcoming! Thank you, we will visit you again soon!
