Antalya Retaurant in Telford and Wrekin

Definitely recommend for a tasty Turkish cuisine. It was saturday evening and despite being just one person to attend the whole restaurant the service was excellent and timely.

Fantastic food and great service.

The meat to rice ratio was completely out but that was my only gripe. Heaps of rice and less meat than usual Turkish restaurants.

Me and the Mrs went last night and thought the food was great. Nice and freshly cooked meat and couldn’t fault anything. The waiter was very welcoming and couldn’t do enough for you. It was a very pleasantly chilled evening.

We have visited twice over the last few months and been very impressed both times. Food was freshly cooked and came quickly. Good prices and the platters are good fun to share. Would love to see more dessert options and drinks on draught at the bar.

Amazing resturant with nice atmosphere. The food is so tasty. Staff are so friendly. Defenitly coming back again 👍👍.

Has improved alot since my last visit 2 yrs ago, I think due to new management. There is now salad with the mains alongside the chips instead of just a huge pile of chips. The wait was awful, half hr for drinks and an hour & 20 mins for food... mains only. Food gorgeous though & staff friendly. I would go again but would have a snack at home to tide me over instead of arriving hungry. As usual their bread was amazing but portion sizes of mains were so big that alot was wasted. Shame no desserts except baklava.....which is lovely, but nothing to go with it not even icecream. Think that as a mid priced restaurant they need a few dessert options especially for kids.

This was a nice find in Telford. Amazing food, good value, great location with easy parking, and a very nice owner. We will come back as soon as we can.

Excellent food, lovely place, friendly staff and well set out. Only downside was having to wait a good hour and half for food to arrive which is such a shame as it was absolutely delicious.

Great food, great service but as it was early evening midweek it was quite quiet hence the 3 stars for atmosphere, will definitely be going back and taking friends 👍

We called to book a table , message came that at this time they can’t answer . It was after 5:00 pm . We went there after a long drive . Door was open but no one showed up . We waited for 20 minutes! No one came to welcome and 2 ladies were busy writing something . So we came back and went to another restaurant. I can’t comment on food as we did not have anything! Service is non existent.

Went as a group so made our own atmosphere, service was ok but needs improvement the food was good but needs mpre choice instead of just chips,rice or bulgar wheat. I would go again.

Went for a meal on our wedding anniversary. Was midweek and restaurant was quiet. Service was very friendly and attentive. Food was excellent, mixed meze starter had a good variety and all tasted delicious. Shared a mixed grill main and all meats were full of flavour and well cooked, sides were great and complemented main meal. Would definitely return.

I’m staying in Shrewsbury for a couple of nights for work and fancied some Middle Eastern/Mediterranean food, so after googling I took a drive down to Telford. I ordered a medium Mezze, mix grill for one and a side of chips. All the food was delicious! The kofte was probably the juiciest I’ve had, you could taste the charcoal in the chicken and the lamb was nice too, although slightly overdone for my liking. I couldn't fault the service, good portion sizes and reasonably priced!

We went on a works leaving do, a party of around 11. Quickly seated. Drinks are all bottled, nothing on draught sadly. I agree with previous remarks regarding the not clearing of dirty glasses and empty bottles. I also think there should be some music in there as at times there was little atmosphere when it was so quiet. However..... The food was superb and plentiful. 6 of our party shared a platter that was like an ironing board and full of great food. Very reasonably priced aswell. Would definitely come again

This is a cute & nicely decorated restaurant in the Wellington town centre.. its right opposite the council's free car park which is really helpful... we found the decor really nice...food was good as well...coffee was good.. hummus tasted fresh .. lentil soup was great.. kebabs were really good & soft.... they get u bread & lentil soup for starters ( without even ordering it).. portion size was big.. high chair was available for kids.. overall, enjoyed our evening meal there & will certainly be going back again..

Great Turkish grill, awesome food, lovely atmosphere (lots of Turkish decor) and it's really like dining whilst on holiday. Sadly, whilst the food and atmosphere were great the service wasn't to the same standard. The waiter was a great guy and he went to great lengths to help us choose and talk to us about the food on the menu. But, when we'd finished our main the waiter was nowhere to be seen, that explains the push-bell on the counter! After 30 minutes or so we got up, paid, and left. No desserts offered or coffees drunk. A great experience but the staff need to up their game. Would we go again, for sure, but we'd be mindful of the level of service.

Had the family mixed grill Exelent tender meats buitfull flavors a lovely mixed salad. Beautiful Turkish bread with rice and chips with a free soup starter lovely surroundings

Most of the food was good but the lamb curry was full of salt, service a bit slow & orders got confused.

Came to visit some friends in telford and ate here. I am a big fan of Turkish food but this place has actually put me off so badly. The food was very low class no taste absolutely horrible. Such a rude waiter also.

Extremely disappointed! Lots of flies flying around, clearly family members of the restaurant allowing their children to run around. Slow service, no longer able to take own drinks - it’s lost it’s shine!!! Would not recommend any more. Food was good but the poor service and unruly kids spoilt the ambience.

Worst service ever,group of 6 adults and 3 kids. The waiter brought the order for 3 of us after an hour And the other 3 after 2 hours. Very much over priced for taste and food quality.

We ordered Shawrma chicken wrap and we got normal chicken wrap with rice! Our tabola was forgotten. When we phoned the restaurant they said, they always do it this way but they don’t. We have the same order a couple of weeks ago and it was exactly as we expected!! Definitely not ordering from this place again. If it was a proper Turkish restaurant, then they will definitely know what Shawarma is!! Not the same as a chicken wrap. Why name a meal something is not

Very good, lovely staff, my family ordered the meat platter where as I’m vegan, gluten free and had a lovely salad and the nicest falafels

We had to call to find out where our order was . waited over an hour.. when it arrived was like warm but still very tasty.. but I like my food hot .. they need to sort delivery out if they offer it and make sure its hot not luke warm

We have been to this restaurant 3 times overall and have had 2 decent experiences however the last visit was not the best. The food was really salty. The waiter was courteous and took the order however never came to check if the food was okay and complete etc. We also waited about 20 mins just to pay the bill as the waiter and management were no where to be seen.

Edit ur opening hours! Had to drive all the way from different area to find out the store is closed

Is the first time when I give a feedback ... the first time when I have ordered the food was delicious but on the last period I haven't enjoyed I asked for 3 chicken and I have received lamb instead I have allergies to lamb I have discussed with the management and he offered me 1 sides of 🍟 🤣🤣🤣🤣 I have paid 40£ for that order 🤣🤣🤣 a nother experience I have finde a wire on rice 🍚 I haven't complein becouse we al can make the mistake 🙃 but to offer you a side of chips when I spend 40 £ and moreover is an alergii my advice is to check you order before you pay 🙃

A limited menu, but the food was good, the seating area well decorated and the price was very reasonable - under £40 for a starter to share, a mixed grill to share and three alcoholic drinks. Although the staff were friendly, the service could do with being quicker and more attentive. If they could improve on this I would give it 5 stars.

Went last night for the 1st time to Antalya. Wow what have we been missing. We live 13 miles away and saw thus on a visit to Wellington and decided to give them a try last night. Atmosphere very Turkish, smelt the BBQ pit on entering gish yummy. Staff very attentive helped up out on choice, we wanted to taste as much as we could. Had mixed starters dips etc and fab bread, then family grill. Could not taste better. Chiller cabinet with the meats was very clean and all looked very fresh. Family grill with rice was fantastic, took us right back to Turkey, great choice and quantity. Even though hubby full we brought back some sweet baklava as it looked so nice. Told my other family and arranging to go back in a larger group. Can't wait. Thanks for a great night.

Just got back from the most amazing meal, my 4 year old loved the variety of different meats, as did we. Everything was cooked to perfection and so tasty. The staff are friendly and helpful, you definitely need to try this place if you enjoy good food!

My 3rd visit and not impressed this time. Random guys hanging around bar area, slow service, doubt anyone was Turkish. Portions are just silly.... you get a big wooden board with your kebab/ meat, 2 pieces of grilled peppers then four fifths is covered in chips!! Who eats this amount of chips? Our ciders were room temperature not chilled. When they bought 2nd lot of drinks they didn't remove empties...so table was clutterred! They didn't have our 1st two wine choices; then just dumped the bottle, unopened, on the table! For the prices charged they should have better portion control and staff who care!! The food is nice but ruined by amateur staff, cold interior, no dessert choice.

We were a group of 8 we all really enjoyed the food. It was cooked to perfection and the portion was really good size. We had the family platter for the four of us and it was very good value for money. I think this a great addition to Wellington and I recommend it. We will definitely visit again.

The food is awesome especially their grills. I had ordered chicken and it was very well seasoned n tasted delicious. The ambience was good with and well decorated especially the Turkish lamps. Definitely recommend this place.

Not usually one to leave a review but felt I should given the amazing service and standard of food. Travelled from Wales for a business conference and fell upon this little gem ! Beautiful fresh bread on arrival with dips and the food was outstanding! Huge portions and very tasty ! Staff were very welcoming ! Definitely recommend you try this ! Wine very reasonably priced too !

Amazing place !!! Food was delicious and vary large quantities for what I was expecting, staff very lovely and welling to advice on there menu as was the first time there . Waiting was not bad since was full inside. Price is also good for the area, I’m definitely coming back .

Was refused service today by the owner/manager because I didn’t want to have a full meal and just wanted to order some tea. Disappointing service! I have had the food before and it was decent for Telford but I will not come back again due to the poor customer service.

Very underwhelmed with our meal and such a shame as it is a great location. The restaurant was cold inside. We ordered mixed grills, however the kofta kebab arrived cold for all of us, it was a race to eat our food which was becoming colder by the minute due to no heating in the restaurant. We asked for a Kuppa dish for the starter which arrived at the same time as the main dishes. The Kuppa dish was appalling, cold and greasy. When we all mentioned politely that the food was cold the manager was rude and replied “this is because it is grilled” which makes absolutely sense. Not the best response to a complaint. The manager also tried to over charge us for our meal by £12. Such a shame as Turkish food is excellent, but unfortunately not at this restaurant. I would not recommend this Turkish restaurant.

We regularly order food from here as a takeaway and it never disappoints - the Family Grill is good size, both lamb and chicken are delicious and have this nice taste which proper grill gives, we really like the grilled vegetables that come with it and the bread is always freshly baked. Aubergine salad tastes homemade. It is a real treat on a Friday night!

Unfortunately it was very cold in the restaurant. The food was not that hot and the waiter was unsure what was included in the meal we selected although did seek clarification. The food was tasty though, what we did eat. The mixed grill comes on a flat wooden board. This made it a challenge to keep the chips from sliding or flying off. There weren't any napkins just a box of tissues on every table which was a little odd, had higher expectations considering the cost. We had to challenge the final amount charged on the bill too. Currently wouldn't particularly recommend.

Myself and my best friend had such an awful experience today. We got to the restaurant at 7.30, and was left on the table until 8pm, we ordered drinks and main course. It was 8.30 when I asked one of the waitresses if we can atleast have the drinks. When the food eventually did come it was cold and the waitress took 5 minutes to get the cutlery, they also forgot our salad. The manager came out to speak to me, he wasn’t interested in what I had to say and said I should realise they are short staffed and was telling me to look around to see how busy they are when they were only half full. On a Saturday night they only had 2 waitresses with one of them carrying a 2 year old on her hip. Will never return to this place again. Didn’t even get a sorry from the manager instead he made me feel awful for complaining. Take my advice do not order or visit this place

Beautiful decor which gives a very authentic ambience. The best in Telford I believe. Friendly staff. Good food...my grandchildren said the chips were better than Mcdonalds, however....the portions of chips were massive...way too many for one person. Half the chips with a bit of salad would have been a much better option. Not the cheapest place to eat nor the quickest service but that didn't bother us. This place would be lovely for a couple having a long lazy special night, or a family or group sharing traditional Turkish meze's & grills. They have a bar at average restaurant prices. Sadly no desserts except baclava....which is lovely but maybe ice cream too would be nice. It's very much an adults place and a shame we were the only ones there early saturday night. Maybe they need more advertising? Maybe too upmarket for Wellington? Which is sad because Wellington needs something other than cheap takeaways. I would say go there, try it, allow £25 a head for mains & alcohol & just pretend you are in Turkey 😊

04/12/21 update Change in ownership and the service seems to have dropped. Online order not ready and staff made an excuse that they have to prepare the food fresh. What else would anyone expect..! Brilliant experience! The staff are polite and friendly. The food is excellent with portions being on the larger size. The menu was small but varied however they are in the middle of revamping this. They now have an alcohol licence and you are able to pay by card rather than cash only.

Could be decent food if it arrived on time and was warm. Always late and cold and the chips have been missing the last 2 orders.

Arrived at time table booked. Not overly busy. Unruly children running round Resturant. Took 25 minutes to take drinks order after us asking, and being told we’d have to wait. Menu shoddy - photocopied black and white sheet of paper. Room very cold - asked...

Ordered a platter for takeaway. Have to say was very impressed with the quality and quantity of the food. Meat was charcoal grilled to perfection and packed full of flavour. Will definitely be going back.
