Anatolia Grill in St. Helens

Thought i would treat us to a anatolia platter it was really delicious and tasty, good swift delivery could not fault anything.

First time ordering and it want be the last, absolutely amazing food we had the sharing platter for 2 and it was delicious! The large green chilli's are the bomb 🤪! Can't wait to visit when safe to do so. Compliments to the chef! 😋

First time I’ve tried this place. Takeaway was amazing! Lamb chops cooked to perfection andon time. Cannot fault the place. We’ll be in for a meal when this is all over.

Best meal out we have had for a long time everything fresh. Had the sharing platter and lamb ribs chips rice salad. Amazing. Waitress really friendly and really accommodating to my 18mth old granddaughter will definitely be going again. Hidden gem.

Would 100% recommend this restaurant. It’s a family run restaurant the owners and staff make you feel very welcomed. They are polite and attentive. The food was amazing tastes fabulous, and not too long to wait for orders to be taken after you sit down. We was offered complimentary bread, dips and salad which was very kind and thoughtful when waiting for our starters. The covid regulations they have to make the restaurant safe are impeccable, better then any other places I have been too they make you feel reassured in these troubling times. Hand sanitizers are around the restaurant and splitting screens between every table. Staff are in full PPE. If you are looking for somewhere that serves incredible food then I would recommend going to Anatolia grill ❤️

Booked a table days in advance for a long awaited night out, arrived at the restaurant in the pouring rain to be told the "manager" hasn't booked you in !! Visited the Sheesh restaurant who managed to help us and our visit there was superb, so the one star is for that.

Visited Anatolia grill for the first time on Friday after we was recommended here and all I can say from start to finish it was fantastic, the food was delicious, we got the sharing platter for 2 and it was more than enough, the staff go above and beyond for you which is lovely. We have already booked in again for next weekend.

Visited the restaurant today , not very impressed with some of the staff . Quite unfriendly and made to feel uncomfortable, which really spoils the occasion . The food was lovely apart from something slightly under cooked . When we advised this , the chef sent the message back to say it was cooked . Found this to be unprofessional and the impression I got is that they are not bothered about their customers . Such a shame as the rest of the meal was lovely .

My husband & I visited here during the Eat Out to Help Out scheme and the place was so busy! Luckily we had reserved a table. The food was nice, my husband had mixed grill and I had the lamb ribs. Full of flavour and massive portions. The service was a bit poor, our drinks were forgot and we had to wait a while for our food, but as I said, it was extremely busy in there so this is understandable. Would visit again

We went to Anatolia Grill as a family of 10 to celebrate my Nephew passing his GCSE exams.We had booked with another restaurant down the road and was stunned to find that the shutters were down, and no-one was answering the telephone! Having been to Anatolia Grill before, we knew what to expect in terms of food and service and they did. It disappoint. Everything was fresh, hot and delicious, served by staff who could not do enough for us, They have kept their crown as our family favourite!

Best restaurant in St Helens by far. Food is great, service great, good wine and imported beer. What more can one ask for? It’s becoming more of a weekly event for us (sometimes twice a week!!!)

Came here on Saturday with family its the best turkish restaurant in the north west, the food is outstanding and the service is excellent, so much variety and value for your money, we have already booked again for our next family meal.

Arrived this evening having made reservations a week ago for 7pm to be told there was no table for us. Reason for this, a number of walk ins were given tables and clearly those who book to avoid disappointment had the opposite result.We were ushered upstairs to a room that was not set up for eating and had a couple of sporadic tables and chairs. A table was set up for us to have a drink at until a table downstairs was free. 20 minutes later still no table so we asked if we could eat upstairs. Having a child with us we needed to order food as soon as we could. Our order was taken and an hour later no sign. We were told the order had not gone through. We finally received our food at 9pm. My partner and I had the platter for two which is our usual choice, there was barely enough meat for one. Definitely a smaller portion. I appreciate that businesses have taken a hit during lockdown and need to make amends but tonight’s experience was very poor. I felt so sorry for the manager and waitresses who were trying to do the best they could under the circumstances of someone else allowing anyone and everyone in. This was only ever going to result in one thing. Poor service for some if not many.

First time visit and glad we did. Quick service, good food, reasonably priced. What's not to like. We shared a platter which was massive and very tasty with loads of meat and salad...situated in a less prosperous part of town but that didnt spoil the experience. A nice start to the week.

We have been waiting for lockdown to be lifted so we could come to our favourite restaurant. Saturday was a godsend when we could book in . The food was fantastic and the service was fantastic considering all the safety measures in place. Can’t wait to come again well done to all staff

Went here for my daughters 16th birthday and was looked after by the owner and the manager who are both very friendly and welcoming and along with there great staff go out of there way to look after returning guests, the food portions are very good at very reasonable prices, in 3 years we have never had a bad meal and I would highly recommend this lovely restaurant.

I cannot praise the Restaurant enough for a great night. The food and all the staff were fantastic! There should have been 24 of us and actually 30 turned they fitted us all in even though the restaurant was already busy on the Saturday night. We had a private area upstairs with room to have balloon arrangements in each colour blue and pink. Although the task of getting food and drink orders from 30 people, chatting etc our waitress and waiter were excellent and very professional. We were given flatbread and dips to niblle on while waiting for our starters which was very welcome.The food was amazing fresh, very tasty and thoroughly enjoyable!! As mentioned in other reviews the portions are large. You need to make sure your hungry to be able to eat all the delicious dishes.I would definitely recommend the Anatolia for any occasion or just to treat yourself to a first class meal.

Can’t believe I’ve had to write this cause it’s my favourite restaurant every excuse I have to dine here I use because it’s always been outstanding, But something has changed we ordered the full special as it’s that big we would have more than enough we had our complimentary starter which wasn’t the same, but waited and waited for the starters with our special,I’m not one to complain so my friend shouted one of the waitresses who come straight over and got the manager to come, he was insisting that we had our starters and was waiting for the main but it wasn’t the case every time we said we hadn’t received them he said we had he didn’t check too see if we had just insisted that we had them, it was so unprofessional for him to be like that, not a manager I would want in my restaurant if I owned one. Every other visit has been great with the food and service, sadly it’s changed and I don’t think we will return anytime soon which is a shame.

It's been a couple of years since we last visited, and we have always enjoyed our meals.However, the latest visit was not as good as expected. The food was overcooked, though not inedible. Portion sizes remain good. My husbands starter of calamari seemed to come straight from the freezer aisle of Lidl.Another disappointment was how the manager seemed to talk to the staff; they were a young team who worked really hard in a busy restaurant but he appeared to just bark orders at them. We might leave it another couple of years before we return.

Staff are friendly, service was great and the food is delicious! Portions are massive so it’s definitely value for money.

Ordered two of the sharing platters on a night out with friends, before hand received a complimentary starter of bread and dips which was freshly baked before being served to us. The sharing platters consisted of a large selection of meats (chicken, lamb, pork and chops) rice and salad and was more than enough for our party of friends! Next time we go we will order just the one platter as one platter could have fed eight people easily.The food was delicious!!! Staff were extremely helpful and the service was quick and efficient.

Came here on the off chance on a busy Saturday night. Was seated quickly. The staff are very lovely and always smiling. I ordered the bbq chicken it was very tasty! Would recommend to all my friends!

We were on our way to the Theatre and had booked a Thai restaurant that was not even open so we needed to find somewhere quick. We asked passers by and they recommended the Anatolia Grill which turned out to be absolutley fantastic. On arrival the place was lovely and warm as was the greeting. The food was very tasty and the portions so big. The service was excellent and the waitresses very chatty and friendly. We normally have to travel to Formby to get a great Turkish meal at Efes, now we have a great Turkish restaurant 10 minutes away, fantastic. We can't wait to return.

On a quiet Tuesday night we went along as a party of five people and all throughly enjoyed the food we choose on the evening in question

The food is amazing, and the majority of the staff are faultless, but after dining on Saturday, I definitely will not be returning. The way the manager screams at his staff, shouting abuse at them is just disgusting, much rather dine somewhere that the staff are treated properly! Such a shame because the food is great!

Thought we would try here for my dads birthday after reading the reviews and we wasn’t disappointed. We decided on the full special with there being 6 of us and it was absolutely gorgeous the meat was so fresh and tasty and the starters where gorgeous especially the creamy mushrooms, the staff where fantastic considering it was packed, they made sure we had a great time couldn’t fault anything about the restaurant or the staff we will definitely be returning, hopefully soon.

Used the Anatolia for the first time as a birthday treat and wasn't disappointed. We ordered the Chefs sharing platter as it contained a good variety to try out. Service was very quick despite being busy and the meal was great. Atmosphere is also quite lively so no sitting in silence. Highly recommend this place and will definitely be returning.

Absolutely superb night . The staff are faultless, so professional and lovely and friendly. The food is top class , the sharing platters are enormous, the lamb is the best I’ve tasted. From the complimentary breads and dips, the platter to the salted caramel cheesecake absolutely top class .

Myself and four friends visited this evening and had a lovely night! The bread, dips and salad were a lovely touch to start with and were very tasty. We came here for the first time on Saturday for my sisters birthday and from start to finish it was fantastic, we would definitely recommend the Anatolia special as it has lots of variety. Staff are also fantastic very friendly and couldn't do enough for you. We will definitely be back.

This was our first visit to Anatolia Grill but it most definitely won't be our last. The food was delicious and fresh, with more than substantial portion sizes. The staff were warm, friendly and provided excellent service. Our visit was to celebrate my daughters birthday and she was treated like a princess. We had a wonderful evening.

Wife, myself and 3 children went. Ordered my starter, described as minced lamb on freshly baked pastry with seasoning.. When it arrived it was basically a wafer thin pizza with a tiny spattering of lamb, ironically served on a pizza tray!

We have been coming in here for years. Me, my parents and older sisters came here for my sisters 16th. The staff are friendly, and the food is amazing. The owner is really nice too. Is really worth the money, you get a massive portion. The platters are beautiful.

Regularly visit here with my children, food has always been amazing my children especially love the complimentary bread and dips you gets. The staff are always lovely and welcoming, and the food is AMAZING.

Have visited Anatolia numerous times, and have never been disappointed. The staff are always warm and welcoming and as a waitress myself I find the customer service excellent. The starters were delightful and went down a treat, was enjoyed throughly, the hummous especially! For our main we ordered a mixed grill to share between 5, what we received was exceptional. There was plenty of food for 5 and could have possibly been enough for another 5 people!! The portion size was extremely generous, and could not fault the taste. Outstanding food, service, atmosphere and staff! Would definitely be returning and will also recommend to anyone looking for a outstanding Turkish cuisine.

Amazing food and a range of dishes to choose from the full special is very good for price, includes starters aswell as the dish. Complementary bread and 3 delicious dips. The staff was welcoming and the kitchen staff are amazing, Thankyou for my my experience very comfortable and welcoming.

Made our evening!!! Simply Superb!! We heard about this restaurant from a friend, were welcomed by a lady though it was Friday eve and they were too busy. Were guided upstairs by "Connor" a young lad, who was sooo polite, hospitable, caring and handled our 4 year old anxious son well. Service was quick and excellent. First they served complimentary dish, where in the world will you find a big size bread 3 very tasty dips and salad FREE?? very cost effective and delicious vegetarian food, big quantity, served with a smile and readiness to help. We got ketch up for free, nice cold water. Side dish was so sumptuous and delicately cooked with picturesque presentation. three times different staff members came to ask if all food is OK. Connor was the best hospitable and very active helper (he was so good, can't call him a waiter). He instantly came with paper to wipe the spilled water. To end it excellent sweet with the Bill. A BIG THANK YOU.

We tried here for the first time tonight for my daughters graduation. The entire experience was a pleasure. The food was gorgeous but the staff made it. The manager was just perfect and I can’t wait to go back again. He laughed with us all and made us all feel special. I loved the laughs, he’s an absolute credit! Called Sunday afternoon with my mum and son who I kept telling I'd take him here whenever he was on leave from the army.

The food was delicious, generous portions and reasonable price. They gave us salad, flatbread and 3 dips for free as starters which was really nice. Will definitely come back again.

Went this evening after seeing the reviews, wasn’t impressed really, food average, rude staff. Tip - Don’t buy the hummus as a starter as you get it free with cloud bread.

I visited this restaurant for a family meal earlier this month, the service, food and value was faultless. Every customer recieves complimentary bread and dips which we were all impressed with. We will definitely be returning again soon.

Came here for a second time, this time as a group of 6 friends for a birthday last Saturday. We was pleasantly greeted by a member of staff and shown to our table, where we all ordered a round of Turkish Efes! 5 of us shared the large sharing platter, with the birthday boy ordering a Beyti. The meals were absolutely gorgeous and we could not fault it. The meat was perfect and we felt the Turkish vibe 100%! Service all night was impeccable, with their attentive, well trained staff. Along with this and with their stunning food, I will 100% be back for a third time, as will my friends.

Wow. What a find. Found through trip advisor as we wanted turkish/meat somewhere near us. Worth the 15 minute drive. Amazing. Compared to other Turkish resteraunts it was really cheap and food was outstanding. Service impeccable and wine lovely. Can't wait to come back. Sharing platter for 2 for £25 is well worth it when it's £40 in similar resteraunts. Word of advice don't go ott with starters as u get a massive fresh baked flat bread and 3 dips complimentary. Just lovely service

Came here to celebrate my 50th birthday with friends from work. It was a very busy Saturday night and there were 10 of us. A great choice of food. We all only ordered a main as they brought out fresh bread and dips which were gorgeous. All the food was hot and served pretty quickly. Well catered for all tastes including vegetarians. Will deffo go back and recommend.

Called into this place based on a recommendation of a friend of mine and I have to say was not disappointed in fact I was blown away by the service , the quality of the food and the general ambience , we had starters I had the halloumi which was to die for and my partner went with the houmous which was so fresh and authentic , we followed these tantalising tasters with a mixed grill for myself and the moussaka for my partner the meat and accompaniments to to the meat were perfectly cooked it was a real treat , my partner's moussaka was equally magnificent and very hearty portion sizes to boot , we were also given fresh cooked bread and beautiful dips at the outset of the meal , all in all this is probably the best traditional and authentic Turkish food

I went here on a few important occasions and have had a mixture of different meals.. (the sharing platter was amazing!) The staff here work very hard and are very friendly.. This is one or if not the best place in St.Helens to eat.

Took friends here last week This is our third visit On this occasion and previous visits restaurant very busy the staff still remain friendly and efficient. The chefs turn out excellent food. The ambiance is great. Highly recommended

Never been before but will definitely return. I was greeted by the the fabilicious Fabio who was a pleasure to meet and a fantastic host. The atmosphere was relaxed but professional. All the staff were hard at work and were very antentive. Fabio recommended the mixed grill which was delicious. Overall a lovely night and can't wait to tell my friends and family about it!

Me and my 3 friends come for a quiet get together and had the most lovely experience. We were treated brilliantly by the attentive staff who couldn’t be more polite. We quickly received our complimentary bread and dips along with our starters (amazing) which was shortly followed by our sharing platter, gratefully reccomeded by the lovely waitress, which was absolutely phenomenal!!! Couldn’t fault this restaurant, food is beautiful and has a real Turkish vibe.

So myself and my partner thought we would give this place a whirl for our date night, We came in on saturday 06/04 and we thought we wouldn’t of got a table as it was so busy, but they managed to seat us, as we haven’t eaten here before we asked the waitress for some recommendations, so we ordered what she said which was for starters creamy mushrooms and my partner got turkish sausage they where faultless absolutely fantastic, for mains I got the beyti and my partner the alinazik lamb and both of these was fantastic. The service was great nothing was too much trouble. We will be returning for my birthday with my family and friends and I can not wait.
