Amore Italian Restaurant in Rhondda Cynon Taf

Visited Amore in Aberdare for a solo evening meal and had a really enjoyable experience overall. Starter: Bruschetta di Formaggio The dish arrived warm with perfectly crisp ciabatta, carrying a subtle sweetness that worked beautifully with the rich, earthy cheese blend. The cherry tomatoes added a nice touch of brightness. It was served with a mixed salad — I set aside the onion and green pepper, which felt a little out of place with the rest of the dish — but overall, it was a light and satisfying starter that set my palate up nicely. Paired with a glass of Verdicchio, the combination was well balanced and refreshing. Main: Risotto Porcini The risotto was served piping hot and cooked well — creamy and al dente with a gently sweet, earthy flavour. I think there may have been a hint of balsamic, which gave it some lift. That said, I couldn’t detect any actual pieces of porcini mushrooms, which was a little disappointing given the name of the dish. I came in with high expectations after having a standout risotto elsewhere, so I was a bit wary, but in the end, it was enjoyable in its own right — simple, comforting, and well-prepared. Dessert: Strawberry Cheesecake Unfortunately, the panna cotta wasn’t available (the kitchen let the staff know it hadn’t set properly), but the waitress let me know right away, which I appreciated. I swapped for the strawberry cheesecake, which was very sweet and indulgent — soft, creamy topping and a crumbly biscuit base. I’d already ordered a glass of Muscat, which was lovely on its own but combined with the cheesecake made the whole thing quite rich. One for those with a sweet tooth! Overall: Service was friendly and attentive, and the food was presented with care. It was a well-paced meal with quality ingredients and a nice atmosphere. I’ll definitely be back to try more — hopefully the panna cotta will be ready next time!

Second time visiting this restaurant. All dishes were beautiful, it was affordable and the service was great. This restaurant is an asset to Aberdare town and would definitely recommend it.

Lovely restaurant, great service and delicious food

Tasty Italian food, big portions of pasta. Accommodating with food preferences.

Food was good I had meatballs, Carbonara and a brownie. Service was great very quick and wasn't kept waiting. Building and setting was lovely not over board just the right amount and music not too loud and table and chairs make it a comfortable visit. Definitely will return in the future felt very welcome and enjoyed my visit.

They try to add items to your bill , I wonder why? And I am not the only one, They tried to overcharge me for £20

Tried Amore for the first time for lunch. Will definately be going back. Warm welcome. Table suitable for disability aid. Very tasty food, good portions. Great to find such a good quality restaurant in Aberdare.

In the heart of our journey, we discovered a culinary haven that delighted our senses and warmed our hearts. The Pizza Etna, a fiery masterpiece, danced upon our palates with its perfect blend of spices and molten cheese. The Carbonara, a symphony of creamy indulgence, transported us to the rustic kitchens of Italy. The Bolognese, rich and hearty, told tales of tradition with every bite. And the Margherita pizza, with its simple yet profound flavors, reminded us of the beauty in culinary simplicity. The staff, with their genuine warmth and attentive service, made our dining experience truly memorable. A place where food and hospitality intertwine harmoniously, leaving us eager to return.

Check your balance and keep all receipts of proof of purchase as they try to add items onto your bill, a few of our party didn't have alcohol and they waited until the end and tried changing some people who had a few beers much more than what they ordered, won't be returning,

What a lovely and welcoming restaurant. Waiters couldn’t have been more polite and attentive. Food came out quickly and was absolutely amazing. Pint of Peroni was lovely and crisp. Starters, mains and dessert were outstanding. The tiramisu was the best we had ever had. Fresh and homemade. Could not recommend this place enough. Will definitely be back.

We had a recent meal at Amore which was as ever, a very nice experience. Food was as wonderful as ever, from starters and nibbles through to main courses and dessert. They do a good pint, too... Service was very quick and food served within a quick turnaround. The team are always pleasent and we had a very enjoyable evening. We would all recommend the venue highly. Well done. Aberdare has been crying out for a restaurant of this quality for long enough.

Seated immediately upon arrival and throughout the night the staff were outstanding. Within seconds of a plate/glass being empty, it was taken away and the offer was always there if you wanted more.

Even though it was quite busy the staff were attentive from the minute we walked through the door and made our lunch a pleasant experience. The food was excellent and the restaurant is spotlessly clean. We are looking forward to another visit soon.

Good food decent portions and super quick service good all around, price was about what you'd expect considering what you get. Gluten free options could've been slightly clearer but not an issue

A little gem of a restaurant in the heart of Aberdare. Food was excellent all hot and inviting on the eyes and the stomach. Presentation is to applauded and speed of service excellent. Will be back really soon.

We booked a table for 10 only 8 could make it no problem they sorted table by renoving two settings ... Service was very good ... food was excellent and piping hot can't fault anything will be back!!!!!!

I’ve always wanted to eat here, from the outside it looks very nice and well presented and inside its the same. The staff are young but all very professional, polite and nothing was too much trouble. The food was delicious, we all chose the chicken dish but had different sauces n vegetables. For dessert we chose the cheesecake the portion size was huge and my goodness it was totally amazing so light, mouthwatering and made inhouse so compliments to the pasty chef. !! The only downside and it’s not Amores fault was all the smokers right outside the door, it was so bad at times, we had to hold our breath as we entered the restaurant and at times smoke drifting in.

Wow, it's lovely to have a good, hot and extremely tasty meal out in aberdare. All I can say about the tiramisu is, it was the freshest most perfect I have ever had, even compared to Rome. Well done chef. Already booked a table for my birthday.

After a shaky start, due to staff shortages, this restaurant has really come into its own. The food is high quality and reasonably priced for the area. The staff are attentive and helpful. This place is a shining light in Aberdare. I hope the rest of the town can follow its example. I wish the managers and staff every success with this great restaurant. Parking in the area can be challenging but there are plenty of car parks, even if you have to park a few minutes away.

We were a party of 18 and pre ordered the dishes required. As dishes were delicious and everyone said what a lovely place it was. Service was excellent and staff very helpful.

Wonderful service and fantastic food. Everything is so tasty and well presented. Staff are friendly and welcoming, service is prompt but not rushed. The menu has a lot of choice and includes vegan options. Cocktails are delicious. Some of the menu may seem pricey but portions are large and the food is most definitely worth it. Only negatives are the atmosphere is a little lacking and the disabled toilet is a fair way away from the door - no steps though. I’ve visited four times and every visit has been excellent.

Food was lovely. I felt like there could of been more meatballs in my Tagliatelle (I only had 3 tiny ones) unfortunately it was mainly mushrooms. Other than that food fabulous and affordable. Staff were happy and helpful. Would visit again if nearby.

It was the first time my husband and I visited this restaurant. We both enjoyed our meals, lovely atmosphere, great staff can't fault it at all. We would highly recommend this place. Amore has an extensive menu and I can't wait to return to try other things on the menu.

Overpriced for what you get. Lasagna more akin to a Tesco ready meal than authentic Italian.. One visit was enough..

First time since I moved back to Wales to have a meal in Amore and it didn't disappoint. Service was excellent and the food was amazing. Would certainly recommend to anyone and we will look to visiting again.

Amazing Food and Friendly Staff…. Raspberry Cheesecake was the Best

Great little Italian place with great service and plenty of choice for everyone! Have got kids menu also with good choices. We had seafood pasta which was way too hot and suffered from carryover cooking after being served. Spaghetti carbonara was lovely although soaking in oil bit too much. Tiramisu was okay, bit too heavy on cream. Would go back despite as we had a great family meal out in general.

Amore Italian restaurant is a fantastic restaurant. The food is very tasty, large selection of varied dishes and very friendly, helpful and attentive staff. Food was prompt to the table and still piping hot😃. Overall, great experience. If I lived closer I'd go there a lot more often.

We had a lovely evening celebrating our anniversary and my father-in-laws 80th birthday. The food, wine and service were fantastic as on previous visits, a real jewel in the valley. We can't thank and compliment Beatrice enough for looking after us so well, a definite credit to the business 👏

Top restaurant in Cynon valley. I have been here several times and have never been disappointed with the quality of the food or the service from the waitresses. So much to choose from the menu, very reasonably priced.I highly recommend this restaurant.

Just had a wonderful night with our skittles team. Our food was amazing and the staff were brilliant. The only name I got was Molly but they were all wonderful.

Great meal there, seems like they could cope with lots of big parties eating and drinking at the same time so fair play. You don't see that nowadays in the Valleys in such a big place. I had Pollo Princessa for mains which was something different but deffo comes recommended. I'll be back, nice one Faberdare!

Came here for my Niece 18th Birthday. The restaurant is stunning. The staff are so bloody lovely and down to Earth. The main guy behind bar was wicked and so skilled. Our waitress was a delight too chatting to me about the Cabanara. The food especially the Cabanara was divine! Food was piping and bubbling hot for some of my table but we all enjoyed and didn't leave any scraps. Thanks a lot for your time and for the amazing beautiful food. It's so nice to be blessed with affordable lush food in our local area. ✨ Update ✨ visited again recently with my Mrs and we had the lush Cabanara once again.

A bit underwhelming Food just ok didn’t taste or look like an authentic Italian restaurant probably won’t rush back Staff were lovely and it’s very clean there.

My wife treated me for my birthday. And what a treat it was. The staff was professional and helpful. The food was superb and reasonably priced. I have dietary requirements they tweaked the dishes which was brilliant. I could have what I wanted with in reason. Not the usual boring allergy menu's. It all made for a wonderful meal. This isn't a negative review despite just 3 stars it's quite close to 5 stars but there are some improvements needed. Lovely place comfy seating and lighting is pleasant. Need some shades at the back to get rid of the view of staff smoking and the bins. 7 of us so quite a variety of dishes eaten and no complaints other than the food was lacking seasoning a little. Good bottle of wine (Cabernet Sauvignon). Staff were friendly and service was at a good pace. I had a Tiramisu which seemed to lack the coffee liqueur but was still quite nice. We will return. Been a few times since my first review but the food still lacks seasoning I don't get why this isn't brought more often by people, you shouldn't have to put salt on your food in a restaurant and it's not like this it's a common complaint of mine when I eat out.
