Went for a light lunch when visiting Alyth recently. Staff were very friendly and the food was lovely. The staff were taking all relevant measures in light of Covid-19 and I felt really safe. Would receommend to others.

I have been wanting Alyth to have a restaurant open for casual dinners. Lucky for us, we learned that the new Alyth Bridge Bistro stays open till 8:00. Three of us met there for dinner before going to a talk at the Alyth Literary Society. The service is very friendly, helpful, professional. Two of us had soup (2 different kinds) and for dinner we each tried a different dis. I had grilled tuna served with rice and veg. Another had lasagna and another a pasta dish. All yummy. We decided to take some of our big delicious dinners with us and I was pleased that the restaurant uses cardboard containers rather than styrofoam. We look forward to lunch and dinner there again soon. Very friendly restaurant.

Fantastic place with wonderful service. I went there on a cold November day and ordered the most delicious caramel apple crumble to take away and they threw in some custard in a separate container. Lovely staff and a lovely shop.

Spending a week at Gleneagles in Scotland is nothing short of a luxurious retreat into elegance and charm. Known for its stunning grounds and top-tier hospitality, this iconic hotel offers an experience that lives up to its world-class reputation. One of the highlights of the stay is undoubtedly the breakfast at Strathearn Restaurant. Dining here is a treat for all the senses. The restaurant offers both an à la carte menu and a buffet line, catering to every palate. The selection is wonderful, featuring a wide array of delectable options. A personal favorite is the Scottish smoked salmon—rich, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The quality of the food is matched by the impeccable service, with the staff ensuring every meal is an experience to remember. Beyond breakfast, Strathearn continues to shine with its sophisticated offerings for other meals, making it a culinary destination in itself. The charm of the restaurant is enhanced by its elegant ambiance and interior, making every dining moment feel special. The facilities at Gleneagles are absolutely lovely, combining historic feel with modern comfort. Every corner exudes sophistication, from the beautifully maintained gardens to the beautiful interiors of the hotel. Whether you’re enjoying a leisurely stroll or unwinding in the spa. I love the heated pool and it features both indoor and outdoor too. Gleneagles also boasts an array of activities and amenities to keep guests engaged, whether it’s golf on the renowned courses, falconry, or simply basking in the beauty of Scotland’s countryside. In conclusion, a week at Gleneagles is a blend of relaxation, indulgence, and adventure. The stunning facility, the exquisite dining at Strathearn, and the warm, attentive service create memories that will linger long after departure. Highly recommended for those seeking an unforgettable Scottish getaway.

We had dinner at this place in Pitlochry and had a good choice of dishes, both meat and fish, and also vegetarian. The menu is mainly Scottish, but there are also some burgers and pizza. We chose Scottish dishes, all excellent and plentiful. The service was very friendly and efficient. With a starter, a main course and a beer each, the cost was £26-27 per person, excluding tip.
