Fantastic Tandoori Sizzlers ,good portions, great price..

Take away through JustEat. Delivered eventually 3hrs Late, after we had to make our own dinner. Useless communication. No refund, refused by restaurant apparently… No way to contact JustEat to resolve🤷‍♂️ Finally the food was poor, soggy Nan bread, bland curry. Amazingly poor service from the restaurant and JustEat.

Just WOW, what a disaster, worst experience ever. 3hours late, useless communication. Had to make our own dinner, as we gave up waiting. Delivery arrived after we had eaten. Asked for refund, refused by restaurant, but just eat should push this, and take responsibility? Just eat ‘streamed’ feedback with no option available to address / discuss a refund from them. Just poor service / poor platform support and in the end the food was also poor.

Over 2 hours late, pakora soggy, same sauce used for chasni and makhani. Not going back.

Ordered food at 5.20pm didn't arrive until 8pm. Food not hot. Very disappointed.

Just eat app said delivery approx 50 mins. Order placed 5.25. Delivery 7.30. Update was given to say it was out for delivery when it hadn’t even left the restaurant. Yes the place is busy but that’s poor customer service.

Called up as said 50mins wait online and took 1hr 30mins to get delivered. When it came the sauce was all over the bag!

Ordered at 6.30pm, advised 8pm delivery. Asked for update at 8.15pm, instantly updated to out for delivery. (Clearly this was done to appease me when it hadnt left the shop at all). Still did not arrive until after 9pm. (I live 5-10 mins away). I had to leave for work and actually drove twice the distance from the restaurant to my house, got a meal from elsewhere and ate it in the time the courier got to my house. Really disappointing as I had heard good things about this place.

Absolutely delicious! Chicken pakora was fresh and full of tasty chicken breast. The lamb patia was the same, plenty of meat and sauce was lovely. The naan bread was tasty and massive! Well done Alva Tabdoori! 👍🏻👍🏻🍽️

taste of both meals was excellent but unsure if the chicken tikka ordered wasn't in fact pan fried as chicken pieces quite large.

Delivery was 3 hours from ordering. Order wasn't complete and still waiting on proper order. Still not delivered. Ordered at 5.30pm and still not received the replacement food . Shocking service and owner not pleasant to speak to. Not interested but still takes my money. Disgusting

Gorgeous food but said it was ready to collect at 18:40 (20 mins from when order was placed), went in at 18:55 to collect as knew it would be busy on a Saturday night so gave it an extra few mins but then we were left waiting until 19:15 for the food to be ready. Very frustrating when they could just change the collection time. 2nd time this has happened (2 hours waiting on a delivery previously) so don't think I'll be ordering again.

Ordered and told 20 mis for collection. Notified food ready at 18:05. Food not ready to collect until 18:45.

Alva Tandoori has always been of a very high standard but was a bit disappointed tonight. They seem to have changed the recipes and tasted entirely different to their usual meals. . Also ordered popadoms but didn’t receive them. Still enjoyable

Absolutely love Alva Tandoori but you've changed recipes without telling people. We've ordered the Hot Yoghurt Medley many many times and today it came and was ridiculously spicy. Fair enough, its a hot dish, but it tastes completely different to when we've had it before. I can understand changing recipes slightly but doing it overnight and expecting customers not to notice isn't fair. We will keep buying from you but please stop changing recipes behind the scenes.

We have visited many restaurants across Scotland on our travels, but I have to say our visit to the Alva Tandoori was one of the best dining experience we have had. The service and the staff are second to none. As a chef myself, the quality of the food was excellent, and we were impressed by the value for money. Would definitely recommend paying a visit if you are in the area.

Asked for the curry to be hot and it came milder than a korma. The reason why I ordered a curry was because I was craving something spicy, but I shouldn’t have bothered. This isn’t the first time this this has happened from here. Always holding back on the chilli powder as if its even remotely expensive.

Went in for dinner after having 4 home deliveries, which where all amazing, so decided to try the restaurant, so glad i did nothing was to much trouble constant checks we where ok and asking if they could do any thing so top ownership and staff the food was amazing i had a house special and it really was special all the food was authentic asian hot fresh and very tasty the owner was kind enough on us leaving to give us a free peshwari cooked to order would highly recommend both there delivery and restaurant service and will no doubt be a regular from now on

The curry's did not taste good. The punjabi style was strangely /overpoweringly sweet and tasted almost entirely of tomato puree. The South Indian Garlic was bland, salty and somehow didn't taste like a curry?

Lamb is the best I’ve had from an Indian. Generous portions and amazing flavours. Highly recommend!

Ordered at 19:12 and didn’t receive food until 21:26, delivery time was stated to be between 20:40 and 21:00.

I hadn’t received my order after 2 hrs. Chased up order and told extremely busy, new chef and driver has many deliveries in Sauchie. Definitely will not order again

The main meal’s tandoori chicken was solid, dry and cutting it was hard. On having the pakora first, when I tjgen having the nan bread it was hard. Both of these items with a very fast delivery from order thumbs up points to either a very incompetent chef or reheats. Either way totally unacceptable. When we buy takeout from a restaurant and pay those prices I expect good quality, if I was in the restaurant I would have sent it back. As a long standing customer to this restaurant in extremely disappointed in them

First time using Alva Tandoori. The food was ready on time. Quality and flavour of the food was excellent, will certainly be using them again.

very disappointed with the service, ordered chicken pakora and chips at 6.15pm and it took 2 hours and 15mins to arrive. An order so small and simple shouldn't take so long especially delivering in the same area, if the restaurant can't meet the demand of incoming orders they should stop accepting orders or call customers to say they are busy and if they wish to keep the order in or cancel. Instead of refunding any of the order or the delivery charge I received poppadoms which I don't even like.

This is the food version of Tomb Raider Angelina Jolie. Enough said. Thank me later. Love you x

Excellent staff, recommended a new curry for us to try and said if we didn't like it she would let us pick something else. This wasn't needed as the curry was outstanding. Everything fresh tasty and delicious. Would highly recommend.

A lovely dinner. Naan was amazing as were both curries. Fish pakora and special chicken pakora were also amazing. Will visit again for sure.

Food was nice however we were given spiced onions instead of mango chutney and delivery took forever. Ordered at 6.15, est delivery was 7.30-7.50 didn't turn up till 8.45.

We ordered a takeaway, it took over two hours to arrive, I called after an hour and a half to be told it was on its way, no apology and had the phone hung up. This is the second time it has taken over 2 hours for a takeaway to arrive and sadly will be the last. When the food did arrive, two of the dishes were incorrect. It is a shame about the slow and rude service and incorrect order as the food is really nice, albeit the wrong food.

I waited in the restaurant for over an hour for my order. There were 13 other people waiting like me. I ordered at 18.00 with 19.00 collection time but food wasn't ready until 20.05. if I had known that it would take them over two hours I would have gone elsewhere.

Had a small problem and the staff went above and beyond to make it up to me ! Excellent communication and highly would recommend! Lovely food too

Such delicious food! Lovely ambience. Felt really valued as a customer. This was our first visit to Alva Tandoori and can’t wait to go back! We stay in Clackmannanshire regularly and will return here each time we do.

Absolutely appalled by the way we were treated last night at Alva tandoori. The service was shocking. Asked for starter to be served with our meal it came out on its own and cold, when we said about it being served together we got told the rest is coming. She had only carried one plate out!!! Then told me my main was a masala when I ordered a Wallace Kahari. They took it away and brought the same dish back. Don’t know what I was eating. They then served me a rice that had mushrooms in it when I had ordered a fried rice. I took a spoonful of the rice and they grabbed the plate away from me saying I had ordered fried rice and served it to the couple next to us. When the manager came up to ask if everything was ok I said the service was shocking she replied by saying It looks perfect to me and started to inform her colleagues about how cheeky we were at the top of her voice in front of all the other customers. To cap it all never got our poppadoms that we paid for (didn’t realise until we got home with all the chaos. Although we did get an apology the damage was done. It was so disappointing because the food was delicious

Arrived eventually 2 hours. This really is unacceptable for that length of time and the fact they are charging a service fee on top of a delivery fee. If the restaurant can’t get the takeout orders done in a reasonable time which a paying customer expects, they shouldn’t accept those orders.

Never had a bad meal (always get the tandoori mixed grill and it’s the best I’ve had)

Yet again ridiculously late delivery. Phoned & got the owner who said they were snowed under, but no courtesy call to say that a delivery which said it’d be roughly an hour was nearly 3hours. We weren’t even hungry by the time it arrived. Then when it arrived there was no korma sauce as requested instead of a curry sauce. Also (see photo below) the sauce was watery. If you’re ordering from here make sure you order at least 2hrs in advance as it never comes on time. Decent food but will never order delivery again.

Food was hot delivered and was really good.

It took exactly 2 hours from ordering till delivery when I live less than a mile from them.

We asked for asap, it took 14 minutes from order to delivery and it arrived hot and tasty. Not much more you can ask for!

Food is delicious but there is a lot of water in the meal
