At 9:30 in the evening, when the kitchens of all the pubs and restaurants in the area were already closed, Al's Pizzeria saved our dinner and evening!

If you have loads of time to waste come here. Took over an hour to have 1 starter and 2 pizzas. Had to ask again for drinks and cutlery. Loads of flies in the bathroom and windows despite no doors being open. A fly landed on my pizza which is absolutely disgusting. The tomato sauce of the pizza didn't taste very fresh but the pizza was a good size. No music on, just silence and then a very loud alexa saying there was connection problems. Staff was nice but everything was very slow/unsure of orders. Never going back 🥴

Lovely evening with friends in Al’s, amazing pepperoni dough balls, chicken wings with their signature Al’s sauce which is amazing plus others with Franks.. then I tried the ham and pineapple pizza which has proper real quality gammon/ ham none of these plastic ham slices that other places use! It is byo and very cosy and inviting .. can’t wait to my next visit! 😀

Outstanding!!! Ireland’s best Pizzareia without question. The character and atmosphere of the restaurant are only surpassed by the exceptional quality of the Pizzas, starters and sundries and a super-friendly staff who go way beyond to make for a fantastic experience.

The pizza was very delicious and the staff was super friendly, they treated us great. It is also a very cozy place with a good atmosphere.

I was in tonight with my family, we were there for a birthday party and I’ve never seen staff more accommodating. We tend to be rather rowdy after a drink but they were so patient and great with our huge party. Food was amazing and we had a wonderful night. Would be back any celebration possible, thanks again

Als pizzeria was amazing I loved the music and the food was out of this world the pizza look even better in real life than on the website I would highly recommend going to this fantastic pizza place to make it all better the staff were very kind and helpful 😄👍

We had my 70th birthday party in Al’s. The staff couldn’t do enough for us and the food was superb. We loved the decor and it was a great experience signing the wall, such a nice touch.

Got a takeaway from here on Friday night reasonable price and food was delicious. Will order again.

Ordered multiple meals, whoever was on the other side didn't listen and left out a whole meal and the food that did come was ice cold

The order got here 20-30 minutes late and the food that we got wasn’t the right order, when we eventually got our right order the order still had things wrong with it.

Class food service was unreal highly recommended

Food took over an hour to arrive! (We are about 3 mins away from the restaurant) and when we phoned about the order they took the order wrong. After the food has arrived it was cold and steal! They also missed out one of the meals and had to reorder. Bare in mind this also took 20 mins to arrive and when it did it was wrong as well. Overpriced as hell. £78 for 3 pizzas, 3 sides and a missed meal. Not worth the wait.

Ordered food took over an hour to arrive. Woman on phone took down order wrong and left one of the meals out food arrived at room temperature at best when the rest of the food arrived order was still wrong overpriced and food is nothing like the pictures quite frankly was not worth over £ 78 that we were charged

So the food was very nice. However, I believe another reviewer had already mentioned that the focus appears to be on the Takeaway side of the business. It took 45 to 55 minutes for two starters and two pizzas to arrive at our table. We ended up eating the starters and half a pizza each before deciding we wanted to go home. Strangely the music being played was 1950s Rock and Roll, not sure how that relates to an Irish/Italian Pizzeria, but I suppose music is a very subjective 'thing'. Did nothing for the atmosphere in my opinion. Probably wouldn't rush back but would keep it on my list for Pizza Takeaway. Prices were reasonable for an eat in pizzeria.

Class food and brilliant service from the young lady running the floor on her own!

We was there Saturday 23rd September. Great service Value for money Staff was clean and welcoming Chef was absolutely lovely. She came out and said hi.

We arrived in Ballycastle at 8.30pm with 6 hungry kids. We quickly found out that options were limited and everywhere had shut their kitchens. Al’s Pizzeria was a godsend. They were so nice and accommodating. They kept the kitchen open and we had a fantastic meal. Pizza’s were excellent and the dome of the kids loved the smash burgers. Awesome find; so friendly; great fund and really good value.

They made me a lactose-free pizza, they were concerned and brought me the ingredients for the dough and the sauce to compare them. Still, order the pizza without cheese. Super good attention from the waitress. The truth is that we have been treated very well and we have had a good dinner.

Cheerful hard working young team, informal setting doing take-out and eat in. BYOB from off-licence down the street!

Yummy pizza, a good salad with a ton of veggies, and a delightful staff. Cheers to 11yo E who got us seated and should be given a raise for her awesome confidence and craic!

Wrong choice of food. We had Pizza No6 with lots of meat, the crust of the Pizza was very good, however we as meat lovers would choose a vegetarian option, the meat on the pizza was of poor quality. The chicken tenders were very good. BBQ Sauce could be better. Good service.

Lovely interior of restaurant and very nice people. Pizza was terrible and low quality. Ordered two pizzas for collection, hardly any tomato sauce. Tasteless. £18 for what amounted to cheese toast. Won’t be going again :(

Awesome flavor and great service. The fact they had 1, 3 and 4 chili pepper rated pizzas told me I was in the right place. We got Al’s jalapeño parcels and the Hot Baggio. Delicious. Great ambiance too.

Was very tired and looking for good food to fill out tummies. Arrived here and they were about to close. Still they allowed and we had such a wonderful time. Good tasty food with portions enough to fill your tummies, polite owner and staff, colouring books for children, What else you need. Will visit again.

Pizza was delightful, decor was pure 50s rockabilly, prices were okay. Took a long time to get our pizzas but I'm hoping that was an aberration. We tried the Margherita pizza, Hawaiian, and spicy BBQ pizzas, and they were all delicious.

One of the best food experiences in ballycastle and beyond, If you’re looking pizza this is the place to go!! I’ve ordered takeaway and sit in and the quality and service is unbelievable, pizzas are some of the best I’ve ever had. The Tomasos pizza, garlic chip and wings are a cert!!!!

Highly recommended. We held our daughter's 18th birthday party at Al's. From the very first point of contact, each and everyone of the staff was helpful, patient and accommodating. They moved tables to suit us, decorated the restaurant and catered for everyone's requirements. The food was delicious and the service outstanding. Don't miss this ace if you are in Ballycastle.

I'm not a big fan of pizza and rather fussy when it comes to it but I must admit, at the Lammas Fair, the slice of margherita was perfection. Will definitely call back.

Sometimes you find somewhere special without looking and that's Al's Pizzeria,with a few days holiday left to take, Ballycastle bound it was and so happens the Lammas Fair was taking place, extremely busy everywhere for something to eat so very lucky to get a reservation in Al's Pizzeria, absolutely buzzing when we arrived, lovely little enclosed seating areas plus the usual table and chairs situated about the restaurant,the guy serving us could not have been more attentive,every detail checked and I can honestly say the service was top notch,for our meal we had Spicy Garlic Bread, Al's Peri Peri Chips and 2 Pizzas,which we just did Design Your Own Pizza because of a few different tastes in our dining group, everything was absolutely gorgeous, tasty and mouth watering...just can't rate the food highly enough...a take out box was needed because nothing was going to waste here,next time you're in the area don't drive past,call in or get a take out, highly recommended, can't wait to go back..Grazie

We preordered 40 pizzas for a saturday evening meal for our big family reunion, we were very happy with the food which came broadly when expected (with all pizzas still hot and delicious!) Many thanks to everyone at Al's for taking the pressure off cooking and sorting out a fantastic meal for us all!

Went here for a family meal out while on holidays. It seems like takeaway is prioritised here over people dining in. Maybe it was just a bad night, because otherwise I don't know how they're still in business as the service was really abysmal. We waited at least half an hour for starters, and another 45 minutes for mains to arrive. Unfortunately the food when it finally arrived wasn't even anything to write home about. They had run out of kids drinks, sparkling water and apparently pizza dough as they turned away walk-in customers! Finally, the card machine wasn't working so had to go out and get cash to pay.

A must visit for anyone going to Ballycastle, pizza’s are large and delicious. The staff couldn’t do enough for you, and it’s a bring your own bottle place with no corkage charge.

While the food was good and I'm sure would be great takeaway, the dining in experience wasn't great at all. Given the high wooden divides between the seats, the staff couldn't see us, or us them, and we were forgotten about for long periods. The staff are pleasant when you get their attention. You can BYO wine, which we did. It just took an age to get glasses. Although they said they were busy, we like saw one other table the whole night and were in for a couple of hours. In short, good food for takeaway. Skip the dining experience.

Great food, great staff & a great atmosphere! What more could you ask for?

Not only we were overcharged as a tourists, but the pizzas were missing items we paid extra for. No seasoning really in anything, garlic bread was probably the best one, even though it contained small amount of garlic and almost no salt at all. We were all dissatisfied and decided that the frozen pizza would taste better. Unfortunately, this is so far the only negative thing in Northern Ireland.

One of the nicest pizzas I have ever had in my life! The base makes all the difference! It has lovely atmosphere & friendly, helpful staff. Would 100% recommend!

Nice flavoursome pizzas. Could do with a liqueur license though. Nice to be served a coke in a hop house 13 glass.. but not be able to buy a hop house 13.. or any other beer...

Found this place late on Sunday evening. Very accommodating and friendly. Food was delicious, the chef likes a bit of fire - spicy garlic bread is the business. Firecracker pizza 🍕 is a delight and pricing was affordable. If in the area, a definite visit. Really good
