Almanac Cafe in Plymouth

I was really happy to find this place. Real food, nicely prepared and fantastic atmosphere. The people are really nice too.

Alone or accompanied, if it is splendidly cooked good healthy vegan food or just hot drinks and vegan cakes you are looking for, we are so lucky to have this made available to us just above the Jar “Zero Waste” Organic Eco shop, at a reasonable price and in such beautiful and therefore nurturing environment. There are many ways to support “our environment” – of which we are all part of. Thank you, to this amazing team, for sharing their way with us all.

A lovely relaxed environment. Friendly staff and delicious food. Menu changes everyday. We had the Chef's Special which was gorgeous and filling and retailed at just under £10. I eat out alot and this is a gem. Recommend unconditionally.

This is a great place to drop in for lunch and enjoy the freshly prepared lunch options. I particularly like being able to choose from a variety of the dishes to have as a small plate, or the chefs selection as a large. There are also one or two different soups to have as well. The coffee (Lars and Margo) and cakes from several local bakers and also baked on site are delicious too!

Relaxed, warming and friendly atmosphere. Delicious home cooked food that you can see is clearly made with time and care. Lots of regular changing and new options with the freshness of it all. Staff were so welcoming!

Brilliant food, great atmosphere. So refreshing to find somewhere in Plymouth thats vegan and uses fresh, wholesome ingredients. And it's mainly organic, very tasty and reasonably priced. Can't fault it!

We’ve visited several times since the cafe has opened, the food is always delicious and very creative. The cafe also has a lovely atmosphere with very friendly staff.

A fantastic, out of the way cafe restaurant with lovely vegan food. If you are not veggie/ vegan, don't be put off and don't give this place a miss. The food and the coffee are top notch, no-one is preachy at all and you will have a lovely time. It is a really mellow and clean space with a surprising number of tables and chairs (quite a big space). I had a vegan sausage roll with salad and a coffee and then went back for a bowl of sunshine soup, Heyl focaccia and another coffee and regretted nothing. Beautiful food and drink and the staff are also just lovely and welcoming, knowing their food inside out. Ask them what they recommend and they will tell you, or just look at the display cabinet. Beautiful cakes and savouries and it will all have you salivating!

Delicious, nutritious food, locally sourced ingredients, incredibly friendly staff and a beautiful space. Would highly recommend to anyone. All the food is vegan (I’m not). The coffee is excellent and the cake is selection is amazing!
