Alfies on The Dock in Liverpool

What can I say.... Absolutely spectacular evening. The event was phenomenal. Gorgeous champagne reception in the most amazing setting. It was absolute full capacity but the staff were incredibly efficient behind the bar and made the night seamless. What a great venue. Thankyou to everyone involved. Oh and what a fabulous crowd too!!! Seriously contemplating booking our wedding here 💛

Visited this bar for some food & drink & it was a disaster from arrival. The toilets were absolutely disgusting the bar service was non existent & the bloke behind the bar was so rude when asked about the whereabouts of our order. The food menus never arrived and when we asked again for the menu half an hour later we were again yelled at by the barman that we had missed the food serving. I don’t think I’ve ever been to somewhere in Liverpool with such bad service and very rude staff. The large bloke with the beard behind the bar was actually scary the way he yelled at people with abusive language. It really is not the kind of place you would take your family and desperately needs new management and lots of refurbishment. I used to go to this bar 20 years ago and it was a delightful venue with beautiful views. It has turned into a nightmare of an experience. Never again will I set foot in this place & I strongly suggest that you AVOID AT ALL COSTS!

Have been coming here for years, we even had our daughter’s christening here and loved the place. I was shocked at how much the standards have slipped under the new management. We waited for 2 hours to be served a breakfast, the place was almost empty so no idea what the hold up was. Food arrived and was the complete wrong order so half the party ate whilst the rest sat and watched. There has been a cheap and nasty ‘refurb’ with tasteless fake wood panelling and a number of TV’s in order to make the venue into a ‘sports bar’ - totally out of touch with the beautiful surroundings and has lost the welcoming nautical themed decor that it once had . The coffee is push button dish water. The beer garden was full of broken wood where someone had been smashing up tables. The only access to the restaurant was via the side entry past the putrid overfilled wheelie bins. They have just lost a long standing and previously satisfied customer. They did offer a partial refund on the food bill as there was no excuse for the long wait. With this in mind they have earned their one star.

So what can I can say ... the waitress Sarah and her team was amazing, the food was amazing and drink n cocktails too. I can honestly say I felt at home and looking after more than any other bar in Liverpool !! I’ll be coming back it’s my new fav place
