Booked this for a friend's hen party. We had the best time. It was absolutely brilliant. We had such a laugh. The cocktails were amazing.

I had the best time 31.08.24 for my best friends hen party! All actors were amazing and the warden Mr peaches was ever so good! I was lucky to be chosen to play along and get my parole early! #snickers

Laughed from start to end, absolutely hilarious and quick witted team.. we spent a lot of time in the wardens office that we didn’t have enough time to drink our chicken soup. Definitely a fun group activity!

A lot of fun, recommend the experience. We smuggled our booze in via some cunning methods, which added to the occasion, the actors were great at responding to these. No food involved so can’t comment, cocktails were very good

A novel and entertaining experience, we really enjoyed ourselves.

Cocktails very weak, not looking to get drunk at all - but want to taste alcohol in my cocktail. They were nice - but like mock tails. For an immersive experience - you need a couple more actors & more interaction. There were may periods where we were just chatting amongst ourselves. We were in our cell from arrival till 15 mins before the end & felt there were quite a few points where we were just left to our own devices. When our group was included - the actors were great, but just not enough interaction for the total number of inmates. We paid extra for some additional roles - but didn’t feel this was money well spent. Enjoyed our evening, but definitely room for improvement.

Everything about the experience was great from start to finish. From the man outside who greets you, the venue manager, all the actors and the cocktail makers, the building design, accessories, etc. Just fantastic! Even the initial email you get after you book the tickets were you fill in your 'details' was fun and interactive. Silly, fun and something different. The drinks were so nice as well. I've told everyone about it and I highly recommend people go and enjoy 2hrs in there as part of a day/night out. I think the price is well worth the experience too. You'll love it.

Had an amazing time. My friends and I laughed so much. Who knew we had such a good American accent haha. Certainly recommend this venue to anyone

Alcotraz was wonderful. Bride to be had a fantastic time, especially with the added attention from the Escape Artist addon. The bar staff were excellent, dealing well with allergies and cocktails to suit everyone's taste. The actors were absolutely hilarious and so engaging. We had a fantastic time. Highly recommend.

The theatrical performance these guys put on starts from the second you walk through the door to the minute you get released, never once breaking character! They were amazing!! Inmate Cassidy was brilliant! And the warden....well you'll know what to call him when you arrive..! The cocktails were good too!!

No food served however cocktails were delicious. Staff were brilliant and the entire thing was a lot of fun. Would highly recommend for something a bit different to the norm 10 out of 10

Absolutely brilliant. The attention to detail and the acting was fantastic. We even found ourselves getting into character. Cocktails were amazing and there were also mocktails if you didn't want any alcohol.

Before you reply actually read! your “immersive performance” was embarassing drinks we’re hideous, the manager was on a power trip and verbally aggressive, so your repsonse is a joke! 😂 funny, cos we stayed for the whole duration, so clearly not so disruptive. I can’t really say a positive thing about this place, the gentleman who called himself a “manager” destroyed our whole experience for a very large party of paying guests and I feel completely robbed. I am so upset at how we was spoken too and treated (not as part of the act), very disappointed and i absolutely do not recomend. Out of a party of 20 of us, 18 of us agreed that we found it extremely poor and boring and the manager talking to us like dirt really did add the cherry on top, only 2 out of 20 said that they “liked it“ but I can’t help but feel that was them trying to be polite to the bride. I could go on about our encounter.. this place is costly and i/we expected so much more, essentially your paying over £40 + to take and drink your own alcohol, to sit and listen to people talk in a cheesy false American accent with AWFUL dramatics. Please do not respond with the comment “ we think this is good value for money” etc. as I’ve seen you have responded multiple times before to numerous other negative reviews, you added a bit of juice to our OWN alcohol and even then they were too sweet and tasted awful, we had to return them on more than one occasion, one guest compared the cocktails to tasting like washing up liquid. Some members of our group in seperate cells were only receiving 4 drinks each round, with 6 of them in there (meaning 2 people went without drinks each time.. what a joke, considering we brought our own drink anyway, you really can’t make it up), some members went into a ‘wash room’ and received shots for passing the mission, others of us didn’t get a single shot or get taken into this room.. despite ‘passing the mission’, yet you have the audacity to claim “ that we all get the same experience here at alcotraz” ( when one member asked for a shout out to the bride, which low and behold was denied) .. evidently we don’t all get the same experience. To put this into perspective, we paid a total of £850, for frankly one of the poorest experiences I personally have ever encountered, this is NOT GOOD VALUE FOR MONEY and as the paying customers it is us that gets to determine that .. not you! We paid for a service.. a service which led us to believe we would be entertained and you did not deliver, therefore we did not get what we paid for and I feel that I have every right to be upset by this. We agreed that we have never came across such a rude / disrespectful / patronising manager, who was rude outside before we even entered the premises, this only got worse once inside. Some members tried to have a civil discussion raising their concerns and it was claimed that we had been disruptive and had others complain about us, I genuinely feel that we were not at all noisy or disruptive- despite making up OVER HALF OF THE ROOM IN NUMBERS and if this really was the case then I’m certain we would have been asked to leave or be removed - which did not happen!!!!!! we stayed for the whole duration. I strongly feel that one member of staff In particular needs to work on his interpersonal skills and would hugely benefit from some training in customer service. I have read multiple other reviews alike complaining of rude staff /talking to customers like children and very similar experiences to our own.. therefore I can see that this is not an isolated incident. The bar directly opposite alcotraz offer beautiful cocktails at 2 for the price of 1 before a certain time, in future I will save my money and go there instead, the “theatrical performance” shall not be missed. The other, completely unrelated, activity that we did was great and saved the day for our party, thankfully. A once in a lifetime celebration for our bride to be and her nearest and dearest.. which alcotraz almost ruined and tarnished because it was pitiful… my personal advice is to AVOID.

Me and my friend absolutely loved our time behind bars! Fully immersive and enjoyable from the second you step in the door! Great attention to detail and was heavily invested in the creative storyline as a result of the brilliant and committed performances from all the actors involved. Unlike anything I’ve ever experienced- great fun watching and even partaking in the story as it unfolded- and the cocktails were lovely too. Wonderful performance from all. Definitely give it a go!

It was lovely! As someone who does drama I loved it from the beginning. I came with my boyfriend who was a bit apprehensive beforehand, as soon as it started he loved it. The actors were great and were lovely and it was so funny. We would recommend to all!

Great ‘theatrical’ experience. Well organised and an excellent team of staff who make you want to immerse yourself in the drama. Atmosphere was brilliant with lots of individual parties adding to the fun. Drinks were delicious and well presented in prison cups. Definitely recommend for a fun night or special occasion.

Attended with my husband to celebrate our 10yr anniversary. Was a brilliant night with good atmosphere, fantastic entertainment, service was good also. No complaints from us and would totally recommend!!!! Thanks for making our night memerable.

We’ve been before when it first opened, it was great then but it’s even better now, we were a group of four friends & we laughed all night. Great acting with great drinks. It’s a must we will be recommending friends to go.

Absolutely great experience, the "Chicken Soup" is served in great varieties and well worth the experience. The staff are hilarious and seem to enjoy themselves which makes it so much easier to have a good time.

Such a shame!!! Absolutely disgusted we booked our visit about 8 weeks before we were supposed to be attending as a presents for my 30th birthday from my friend! A few day before we were meant to be attending we had an email which cancelled our visit with no explanation. We had booked time off work and a hotel and were really looking forward to attending. After sending emails informing how disappointed we were. We had another email saying we would receive a refund with in 2 week's with no apology or reason. After Alcatraz had cancelled on us they continue sending us emails about our booking for example the rules and times we should show up and how excited they were to see us and to top it all off they send the email to ask for our review on our trip which did not happen! Just to top it off I’ve had another email telling me a back story about my visit. To quote ‘You may have joined Mr Cassidy's gang behind bars at Alcotraz but you haven't experienced the full story yet.’

Was better than expected, I'd seen a couple of videos but didn't really know what to expect, very interactive and inclusive of the 'inmates' the time flew by. We went for my hen do and everyone in my party had such a good time. We all plan to return with partners in the future. We even got the left over alcohol back afterwards which I didn't expect. Definitely recommend 👰😊

Make sure to take alcohol you are happy drinking in cocktails! I thought we’d get a variety but only for the stuff we took in…became really sickly after 2 drinks, would have been nice to have something different. I would imagine the amount of alcohol left behind by guests, they should have quite a decent bar!
