We booked for an early dinner tonight and I'm glad we did as they were turning away tables as they were full by 6.30pm. The service was great, really friendly and welcoming. The food was excellent, fresh, hot and so delicious. We ordered the courgette fritters to start (based on another recommendation) and I'm very happy we did. My husband had the moussaka and I had the chicken shish with rice and salad and we were really pleased. We will definitely be booking to come back another time!

Another lovely meal here , well cooked and presented and great service. Everyone here is soo friendly and we were delighted to see it was full last night with diners .There is a good choice, being Vegetarian I enjoy the vegetable Mousakka which was lovely the other diners in our party had meat options and they enjoyed theirs also . You are always guaranteed a warm welcome and good food here .

First time visit with another couple for a Birthday celebration and we were all happy with the menu choices and chose to share our starters which we all enjoyed. Mains were a mix of meat and vegetarian which were also delicious. Service was great although we did visit on a mid week evening. Would definitely return as this was a nice surprise.

I have visited Ala Turka before but quite some time ago, I know a lot of locals visit & it's great value for money because you will be full to the brim when you leave! It's a small restaurant based in Compton Acres in their retail complex, if you didn't know it was there then you might never come across it. I fancied a bit of a dining change & luckily my fiance loves different types of food so was happy to have Turkish food. You get complimentary fresh dips, olives & bread which are all very good. We had 2 starters & 2 main courses. We both fancied the same starters so we shared them - the Courgette fritters with the yoghurt dip were light & fluffy & really good as were the Feta filo pastry rolls. I had the Lamb Sote as a main course with rice & salad & didn't realise it was more of a casserole dish but it was very tasty. My fiance had the mixed kebab which he really enjoyed - I had a taste of the meats & they were juicy & moist & not at all chewy. We might have been tempted by dessert but we were much too full! I had a nice glass of rose wine with my meal & my fiance had an Efes beer. Service was quick, efficient & friendly & I am sure we will be back at some point to try more of the menu.

Eaten here as a sit down diner previously, and seeing they were doing 20% off takeaways throughout October, thought we'd have a banquet at home.Called at 6pm, placed the order, and agreed 7pm to collect.Arrived at said time and told it was 'cash only' to get the 20% discount.Hmmm, what's the VAT? Double tilling I wonder.Anyways, took the food home, a 2 minute drive and served immediately.It was luke warm to cold, depending on what item is was.With everything on plates it was into the oven to reheat.Poor, very poor.

A great Sunday afternoon Turkish meal. Lovely clean and 'safe environment, reasonably priced food and a great selection to choose from. Delicious food which is tasty and healthy. Highly recommended and we'll be back very soon!!!

Best takeout in town! Not oily, inexpensive, tastes amazing and great service. We'll definitely be back soon.

I love to have the opportunity to go to Ala Turka, the food is always good. I last visited on 3rd sept and had the lamb combo kebab. The staff are friendly and give the place a warm Turkish feel.

I have been to this Turkish Grill restaurant a few times in the last two years and I have never been disappointed. It’s the only original restaurant of its essence which cooks food on the open coal grill with its premium meats and vegetables. Nothing is hidden from the customer awaiting. The delicious smells and fine Turkish music makes you in place in authenticity of Islamabad. The owner Fatosh, and staff are very personal and helpful to cater you, with special customer service. The food is healthy and the draft beer Efres, in bottles is very delightful. Please visit this find wonderful restaurant with your family and friends. Independently owed and operated. Sunni.

Go here at least twice a month . Beautiful fresh kebabs and very friendly service . Tried almost everything on the menu and all our yummy.

Delicious, freshly cooked food with lovely staff and quite reasonably priced. Also very nice freshly squeezed orange juice.

In an unusual position in a shopping area this unassuming restaurant is friendly and serves well cooked tasty traditional Turkish food.Service was excellent and prices are very reasonable.Conversation can be difficult as it a bit noisy when full as there are mainly hard surfaces and is nothing to absorb sound.Well worth a visit though.

I've visited Alla Turka on numerous occasions and have always had excellent food. The service is impeccable, they are all really friendly and always go the extra mile to make you feel welcome. I couldn't rate the place highly enough! 10 out of 10!

Visited for the first time with my wife. Lovely fresh food. Great customer service. Great price too. I will definitely be returning. Great for an informal bite to eat and a beer.

My wife and I recently moved to the area and our friend's took us to Ala Turka for a welcome meal. Well, what an amazing introduction! The owners were welcoming and friendly, the atmosphere was sensational and the food.. Oh where to start! We shared a mixed meat platter and made happy eating noises all round.

A little gem on Compton Acres shopping area. Very friendly and helpful staff. Kitchen is on view from the table area, so you can see the food being prepared. Menu has a good variety of Turkish food, from a host of kebabs to lamb shank. We have eaten here several times now and never been disappointed.

I order from here most weeks. Either sitting in with friends or takeaway. Staff friendly. Food is so fresh! Tasty and filling and its amazing. 10/10. Takeaway is brilliant too!
