We had the pleasure of dining at this wonderful Ghanaian restaurant and it was an incredible experience from start to finish. We ordered the banku and tilapia with a side of fried plantain and it was absolutely delicious, bursting with authentic flavours. The lady, who we believe is the owner, was an absolute sweetheart, welcoming us with warmth and kindness. The atmosphere is homely and no-nonsense, making it a perfect spot to enjoy a hearty meal without any pretence. Highly recommend for anyone looking to experience genuine Ghanaian cuisine!

Amazing food! I came with my sister and the food was delicious with big portions. The staff were lovely and friendly.We will definitely be coming back!

I went to Akwaba restaurant today with my friends and we all enjoyed it. I ordered the okro soup with Eba and it was so delicious, I 100% reccomemd it!. The staff were very lovely as well, which made the experience nicer.

The time placed on Google has nothing to do with reality . The place opens at 5pm but it’s 3pm on Google . We didn’t eat because the hygiene of the venue is very concerning. The smell and sticky tables with boxes of turkey displayed on the walk way was very alarming. It’s a shame the name akwaaba is been displayed with such a high disrespect and dirt . They can do better

We had banku and tilapia and jollof with meat and gizzard. I will give it 10/10-nothing. Friendly people as well

The food was delicious, we ate inside the restaurant, I had egusi with beef stew & my wife had jollof rice with beef & plantain. I would definitely recommend this place, Sarah was a very nice person.

Myself and my hubby just had an awesome meal here at Akwaaba African, served to us by a lovely kind lady called Sarah, she is the owner of Akwaaba! I had Jollof and Beef with Plantain and salad, the sauce with the beef was finger lickin good😃my husband had Egusi beef stew with pounded Yam and it tasted ‘out of this world’… It was as if my mum was serving me my dinner ‘yummy yummy yummy’ Akwaaba is the place for hearty lovingly prepared true African food!! Good and healthy food with a very good customer service

I visited this restaurant today for the first time and I must say I'm very impressed with the service received and the food served. The food was exceptionally delicious with the right seasoning and flavours and the owner was very welcoming and friendly. I was new in the area and the owner was very helpful in helping me find my way to nearby shops.she went above and beyond for my daughter and I. I will definetely visit again next time I come to manchester and would highly recommend this Akwaaba restaurant if you are looking for a delicious meal.

I ordered 3 different soups delivered in 83 minutes piping hot. The Okra soup was my favorite, spicy, hot, full of veggies and generous with beef and makarel and pounded yam. Egusy was OK. The assorted meats too hard for me but the rest delicious. Curry goat was like a Nigerian tomatoes stew, with corns and a few beans and the meat. Super spicy💥. It came with some rice and beans that were not my taste. In general the food was excellent and would order again and again.

I don't know where u come from or how long u have been open for. I am not african but my husband is and he is very frustrated with sand in egusi and beef not being fried enough or plantain being burnt ....he even stopped eating..until tonight where our local restraunt was closed and just by chance an angel pointed us in your direction...we thaught nooo not another one but as soon as we opend our food we smelt freshness the plantain was like heaven the egusi yummy and u get enough meat with ur rice. U will soon be hearing from us again :)
