Admiral Chip Shop in Sheffield

Este chippy realmente parece haber ido cuesta abajo. He estado hoy para la mantequilla de la torta de pescado y tengo que decir que era horrible, parte de la torta de pescado estaba seco y ni siquiera podía masticarlo y la torta de pan era enorme en comparación con la torta de pescado. El exceso de pan y la mitad de la torta de pescado se tiraron. Sin sabor a nada y a £ 4. 50 ha subido de precio y definitivamente no vale la pena. Es una pena como solía ser una buena tienda de patatas fritas.

We went here because it was open Sunday and we had been to Swallownest and Brighton Admirals before. When I arrived and noticed the 2 star rating on Maps I was worried! However there was a local in who was shocked at the 2 star rating and assured me I wouldn’t be disappointed with a meal deal and we would be full. I got extra chips just incase as I didn’t want my husband moaning. £6.50 for a decent side cod, chips and peas. We definitely didn’t need the extra chips. Tasty fish, crispy batter and lovely chips. (The guy let me try one first) Can’t fault the fish, or chips, peas looked a bit of a weird colour but my husband said they were really nice. Gorgeous gravy. Little one ate all his giant battered sausage. We thought it was great value and service with a smile. Would definitely return!

Prices have gone up ridiculously... £6.50 for mini fish and chips special, almost £2 up... No need, just jumping on the band wagon 🙄

Called in yesterday for a light snack (cod roe butty and small battered sausage) it was £5.05 I looked at the menu and couldn't believe my eyes Just look at these ridiculous prices , cheaper at the seaside . Definitely lost my custom and all my family

Fish again very poor , it was very dry and very little fish in it also prices gone up . Don’t mind if quality ok but it’s getting worse .

Use to be good here but went today the staff are rude and very unprofessional and the food was terrible the fish was dry inside and and the batter was terrible I think the fish had been they since dinner time definitely won’t be going again

Had a takeaway from here, usually good but today although the chips ,peas, sausage were fine ,the fish was all batter , dry , with very little fish .

Just moved into the area. Starving hungry at 4pm. Great to find a chippy that's open from 11.30am through to midnight except Sundays. Cod cooked fresh while you wait. Huge portions. My son in law is vegetarian and enjoyed his cheese, leek and potato pie. We had a warm Sheffield welcome from the staff. Good value, great find.

Absolutely vile !! Asked for a fish cake - which they didn’t have. Ordered 2 sausages and 2 chips to get home to find NONE of the sausages were put in the bag. Both of which I paid for !! Totally ripped off. Staff were rude and unprofessional. Did not have a clue !! Will never return back here. Awful place.

We have visited here many times as they are open at all hours 7 days a week when a lot of other chippy's are closed. Staff are friendly, food is fresh, portions are massive and prices decent!
