We were looking forward to a good meal given what we’d read about this restaurant on Tripadvisor . Instead the food and drink was very disappointing. We ordered five mezes which were small and lacking much substance. They were also quite pricy for their size. Furthermore, the only wine we were offered was in individual 100ml bottles and was also expensive. We wouldn’t have gone to Ada’s had we have known how poor the meal was going to be since there are lots of other great restaurants in Belfast

Even though restaurant was pretty empty they said they are full.

The food was really good and the owner very friendly. Will go back for sure!!!

Lovely restaurant great food and friendly service

When in Belfast, we always set aside an evening to visit this establishment. Interesting communication with the owner, extremely tasty Turkish cuisine and family atmosphere "calls" here again and again.

The worse restaurant I have ever been to. Grilled aubergine and bread tasted as if they were from the supermarket. Lamb shanks had a strong smell of meat that is off. Salad was rotten (like when I leave a bag of ready prep salad too long in the fridge). Restaurant was freezing. Wine over priced and un- drinkable. It is hard to believe the reviews are true. Horrible service. Left the restaurant freezing cold and hungry. £27 down the drain! (Edit of review: in response to my review the owner insinuated I went to his restaurant to flirt - it is from bad to worse. .. such an unattractive person ! )

Unfortunately, after coming from a long way, waiting for hours for it to open, I was turned away from the door before I could eat the Turkish food I missed so much. It probably has an owner who doesn't want Turkish customers. It was not enough to state in Turkish that I came from a long way. What a shame... I am writing this as a warning to Turkish friends who will be leaving, so that they do not fall into my situation. Answer: I already left like a normal person. Did I commit any excesses? When I realized that he was too weak to even say hello in the empty restaurant, I left and asked, what should I do? Is there a warning about the reservation and I didn't see it? I'm warning those who have expectations like me here, you have already more or less made it clear in your answer.

I was staying at the Belfast Ibis and I decided that I wanted to try a local restaurant. I reviewed the reports on Ada and decided to go for it………… it didn’t disappoint. As a lone female it can be quite intimidating eating alone, however, I was made to feel very welcome and comfortable. The food, in my opinion, is excellent - the quality, the quantity and the service is outstanding. The proof is that I visited on three occasions. I had the aubergine for starters and then the lamb kebab, with extra chillies. If you’re in town give it a try. Larger parties would need to book in advance.

Had a delicious Chicken Shish. It came quickly and was neatly presented. Generous amount. Nice ambiance too.

Great experience. I was working in the area & looking for somewhere to fit with my carnivore dietary requirements. Extremely accommodating & knowledge surrounding this way of eating surpassed what I have experienced in other restaurants. The food was amazing and I recommend anyone to visit when in the area.

This is a beautiful restaurant, the owner who looked after us was so friendly and helpful with the menu ( He even showed us the correct way to eat Baklava, game changer! If you know you know 😉) and the food was exceptional. Really generous portions and extremely fresh and delicious. Everyone opted for the 3 course set menu which had lots of choices, but there is so much more on the other pages we all agreed we will definitely be back, as soon as possible! Really glad we stumbled upon this hidden gem of a restaurant. The food was absolutely delicious, fresh and tasty (we had two types of lamb dishes), generous portions with sides of salad and bread. Authentic cosy atmosphere. We can't wait to go back.

Wow. Absolutely amazing food. The starters were incredible, fantastic flavour and so authentic. We had chicken and lamb for our mains and both were delicious - good level of spice, fresh and packed full of flavour. Martin was the loveliest host and we cannot wait to get back with our daughter - she will just live the humus. Good wine selection too. What a spot I would highly recommend.

I have reviewed Ada before but not since it moved premises. I gave it a 5 star review then and I do so again. Given the taste and quality of the food, which is always at the highest standard, it is the best value in Belfast. It is not expensive but anything we have eaten is at least the equal of any of the leading restaurants in Belfast. We tend now to do a 'Turkish Tapas', which we have been informed by the owner is Meze in Turkey, as the starters are just so good. The hummus, vine leaves and smokey aubergine are amazing. Though we do include one of the main courses as part of our Meze as they are wonderful also! The service is also excellent. The owner has always been there any time I have visited, which of course is so important as to why this restaurant excels. Don't forget to try a Turkish tea, an Efes ale, baklava and of course some Turkish delight!

Whatever I have eaten in this restaurant so far was delicious. I recommend traditional Turkish foods everyone to try.

The menu was uncomplicated yet the food was cooked to perfection, the lamb shank melted in the mouth and the stock was seasoned beautifully, Tavuk Sote was the very best of wholesome home cooking, again perfectly balanced between warmth and freshness.

Having read the reviews, I thought I'd give ADA a try. It's in a safe, albeit not the best part of the city centre, but don't let that put you off. The food is excellent and it's great value for money. Definitely worth a visit.

I would highly recommend ADA Turkish Restaurant. I had the pleasure of visiting this place and experiencing the extraordinary hospitality and unique cuisine, which were unforgettable. The first thing that impressed me was the atmosphere. The restaurant is beautifully decorated, creating a pleasant and elegant environment. Both the interior and lighting are designed so that guests can enjoy peace and comfort while eating. The biggest highlight was, of course, the exceptional cuisine. The flavors and aesthetics of the dishes served were simply amazing.

We ate here on 25 January 2024 and were delighted. All the food we had was excellent. The service was efficient and friendly and we would highly recommend Ada restaurant. We will definitely be back. Thank you for a great experience

Horrible service, the server was very rude

We dropped in mid week and managed to get a table for two. Great menu and we had chicken and kebab plus a few Efes beers. overall what a lovely guy who runs this place he was so polite and helpful. The food was great and if we lived closer we would be back without a doubt. Well worth a try

Myself and some friends visited belfast for a few days, stayed in the Ibis Hotel and visited ADA restaurant for some dinner. 10/10 for food, service and everything. It’s a must to go to when in Belfast and especially if you’re staying at the Ibis. We got the mixed grill and it was the best I’ve ever had, service from the owner was amazing as well, made us feel very welcome and accommodated. It was also very clean which is a plus! Highly recommend

me and my wife were looking for a restaurant in Belfast and stumbled across this one , it was extremely quiet as it was the first weekend after Christmas , in fact in the beginning we were the only customers - but i must say we had a fantastic experience and everything from comfort to the service and friendliness and the super food was spot on would definitely recommend

Discovered this restaurant on a very wet and windy night ideally just opposite our hotel. So glad we did great selection of Middle Eastern foods, great service and I had lamb - was delicious and I loved the chips too which I can’t often say about Middle Eastern restaurants. Well worth checking this place out and great value too

Hi I was there about 5.30 on a Saturday night with my husband and daughter I have to say firstly this place is spotless clean and very warm and cosy . Martin who served.us was the best waiter he was so nice and couldn't have done enough for.us . The food was really lovely I never tasted Turkish food before and I was really impressed you can get a 3 course meal for £22.00 which is really good.for.the city center we will definitely be back . Ada is a lovely restaurant. The owner tries to make you feel welcome, and food is always good . The local area isn't the best but the food more than makes up for it . Definitely recommend.

A short walk from the city centre, this Turkish restaurant is a great find. Really welcoming staff and a very comprehensive menu - there were 4 of us and everything we chose was tasty, hot, well presented and filled the plate (and our stomachs!)

Restaurant in quiet back street. We went early and place was empty. Waiter was brusque. Food ok but a bit cold. Long wait in between courses. There was a row with another customer which made the atmosphere even more frosty. Perhaps we picked wrong night.

Had a great meal here with some pals on a Friday evening. Great Baba Ganoush, Grilled Sausage and Halloumi to start, paired with lovely bread and condiments. Lamb Shish for the main was delicious, and came with a choice of pilau rice, bulgur rice, chips or baby potatoes. The only criticism would be that the main portion was small, but I'd have happily paid more for an extra skewer serving. Fantastic Baklava for dessert, and a few ice cold Efes Pilsners throughout we're fantastic. I was really surprised it was so quiet as it's a bit of a hidden gem. The gent serving us was a little serious but still pleasant.

This was the restaurant nearest to our hotel and it turned out to be one of the best restaurants we are ate in Belfast. We were made welcome and ordered the marinated lamb on skewers and sirloin steak both were cooked to perfection. We were offered rice and or chips and salad, and given some spices and oils to add as we wished. Service was friendly and efficient and the food excellent

Terrible service from start to finish, the meat was really chewy and food was not cooked properly, it tasted like the food was out of a microwave. The owner had a very bad a attitude towards us. if i could rate this a 0 star but google didn't let me. would not recommend this place! also we came there on a business trip, according to google this was the best halal place to go to, definitely not worth it.

we book a table at Ada because this had a good review on google. plus it was catered to halal. went in and from start to finish the owner attitude was really bad. we had ordered the food and was not fresh at all or cooked properly. The owner confronted me and asked what was wrong, i said to him that the food was not cooked properly and smelt funny as if it wasn't cooked properly. would not recommend anyone to go to this restaurant!

We visited first time to Ada, our experience was smooth we reach early then have to wait a 30 minutes for make all things, but when we the food came it’s delicious and clean and so much enjoy our lunch cum dinner. we are finding a halal food in this taste a long time and drove a 40 minutes to reach at this restaurant. the boss served us food he is kind and generous, best of luck will InshAllah visit soon whenever back to Belfast.

We selected this restaurant as it was the nearest regardless of cuisine and it worked out well. Owner was a bit stiff to start with but soon softened up after I started to enthuse about holidays in Turkey. Food was simple but fresh, well prepared and tasty.

This is one of those little hidden gems that your glad you managed to find.The food takes a little longer to be served but it's definitely worth the wait,well presented cooked fresh and the flavours WOW also extra flavours on the table to add as you choose.Only one dessert on our night but I could EASILY have ordered another as it was so tasty and we were even shown how it was to be eaten by the server.If this wee gem was in my home town i would certainly become a regular.

We came interested in turkish food, for starters i ordered pickled aubergine with walnuta, if you like pickled it was tasty and it woke up your appetite. For the main meal we had (Tavuk Sote) a tomato based sauce with chicken, cheese and mushrooms, it tasted okay like a regular dinner, it wasnt too special and tastes regular like a homemade meal, the lamb chop was also a little regular and it didnt taste that well. The turkish beer was decent, and the baklava was very nice although the price was high for the portion which was small. I probably wouldnt go a second time but maybe some other foods in this resteraunt may be better.

The restaurant on the outside was questionable. The stairs heading up felt like going to an apartment instead of a restaurant. Once upstairs, a waiter said, “we are fully booked, I can get you seated but you will have to wait for 15-20 minutes for food. When hearing this I was shocked because the restaurant was completely empty except for one group of four sitting at a table. However, once we sat down I was in awe at the many food options, including a small kid’s menu and a wine menu. I had ordered the chicken skewers and to my delight came in less than 20 minutes. The food was worth it and goes down as one of our best meals in Belfast.

I don't know where to start. I took my family to have lunch in this beautiful city. It was a fiasco thanks to this restaurant. In any case, the rating is 1/10 on all levels. transaction. eater. cleanliness. Reception. the service. The restaurant was visited on 4/1/23 at 20:48. There was a very racist young man. I hope the restaurant management teaches him how to smile at everyone!!!! Not just for some people..😅😅😅 I asked him for his name when I paid. Been to this place once. And the bald guy at the reception is one of the most rudest person ever i met. He didn’t even want to explain me the deals on the menu as I didn’t understand them well. I asked him to explain me the deals. And he got rude. And the whole place was empty it was just myself and my wife. But he didn’t let us sit anywhere and said to us that the whole place is booked. And sitting there waiting for the food at least half an hour. No one came in. And after finishing the food. Another 30 mints. No one was there. I think it’s the attitude of the guy at reception is so poor that no one likes to go this place anymore. It was my first time. And hopefully last as well. The food was average. I wouldn’t say bad or very good. But I don’t like to go at a place where people don’t respect their customers. I read other customers reviews as well. And those who mentioned about the terrible service. They had exactly same bad service as us. Please don’t go to this restaurant if you are really hungry just buy a sandwich from tesco. There is car parking in front of it which is free after 6 pm. I live in Dublin 15 and can come here only for food and for sure I will.
