Food was hot quick to get to us and tasty. It was a little routine, maybe a it more x-factor needed in the creation Super staff Clean toilets

Nice place but might be a bit busy, so it's better to book a table. Generous portions and tasty food, but when I saw the "Irish" tag, I was expecting a better selection of traditional dishes.

Visited at lunchtime mid week, which was very quiet. Main menu and a separate lunchtime 'specials' menu available. Food quantity and quality was very good. Service was quick and friendly.

Nothing was awful but at the same time there was nothing to write home about. Food, the squid starter was as expected, the Firecracker chicken main consistency reminded me a bit too much of MSG, however, noodles were tasty. Didnt have a dessert. Service, the servers were friendly, however, we were a table of 14 and every time we order a round of drinks, my drink was forgotten and needed reorder, 3 times. Atmosphere, there werent many in so the atmosphere was made by the party I was with.

Three of us came for dinner on Saturday night. I was blown away by the exceptional service and the quality of the food, great portions and just amazing flavours. Thanks for a lovely dinner out!

Six of us arrived around 1pm for lunch on a Friday without a booking and were welcomed in to great seats and very well looked after throughout. Staff apologised for the slowness of their service but we assured them that they were in no way slow! We were so well catered for by very accommodating and helpful staff. The food was top class -; extensive menu and specials, and a great selection of small plates. Would definitely return!

The best dirty fries I have ever had and the portions here will not have you leaving hungry. Staff are really friendly and the service is very prompt. Will be back in October!

I walked in at lunchtime to meet some friends who had booked the table, but I wasn't sure if I was in the right place or if it was even open. There was no-one at the front and I couldn't see anyone further inside. It was all very dark and I got the feeling that they must still be setting up to open later. But I headed on and saw a few people scattered around. It's quite large so it probably felt more empty because of that. I did find my friends, and had a lovely meal. Service was great, friendly. But there was a massive lack of atmosphere. I was the only male in the place and the youngest, and I'm 56! So I would struggle to recommend it. It might seem completely different in the evening with lots of tables occupied. But at lunchtime, it was kind of eerie

Underwhelming and tasteless. When your online menu states sirloin steak as being part of the meal deal but the actual menu has some flat iron ‘asteak’ (where that is supposed to be) is disappointing. My food was bland and tasteless, definitely going to stiick with Robinsons for a Pre theatre meal in the future.

Great food! The roast duck was top notch as were the cheese fritters. I'm happy we decided to eat there

Good restaurant ! The service is pleasant and the dishes are good. The price is fair (£21 for a menu with starter and main course).

Only thing is steak is near £30 and you don't get any veg or anything. Just steak side and sauce

Went for pre theatre dinner with a friend. Hadn’t been in this venue for quite a number of years, was a time I would have been in reasonably regularly when working close by. It is still the same friendly restaurant it was back then, good atmosphere, nice seating areas. We both had really excellent food, starter and mains, plus a lovely bottle of wine. Thoroughly enjoyed the 2 hrs of eating, drinking and catching up 🥂. Given the crowd that were in, I would expect quite a few were also having pre theatre dinner before heading across the road to the Grand Opera House 🎭

Great food. Both had sea bass which was delicious pudding lively as well Lovely staff Our waiter was great crack and very attentive without being intrusive

Excellent small hotel close to Belfast city centre, with a great restaurant and bar, and excellent and attentive staff, recommended.

Amazing food lovely breads for starters. But if you've never tried their poke bowls you are missing a treat.

Food was really tasty, and we were served really quickly. My dessert didn't come when my husbands did and when we questioned it this was rectified really quickly (apparently the order system was a little sticky). The goats cheese fritters were absolutely amazing!

Food very good & very nice staff. Quiet but it was early in the evening.

Steak arrived with only chips. No garnish/mixed leaf salad/tomato/mushroom nothing. Never seen that before. Think this is ‘good food’ for people who don’t know what good food is. Strange atmosphere amongst the staff who were relatively unfriendly. Bill slammed on to table at 9.35pm on Sat night when trying to finish £9.95 gin. Are all restaurants in Belfast this terrible :D

Modern Restaurant with excellent food. I can recommend.

First time visiting this restaurant and we were not disappointed. Food was delicious. Everyone in our party of four loved their food. I had a Bramble, and it was lovely, not too sweet, as I've found can be the case in other places. Service was very good, staff were pleasant and attentive. The place itself looks modern and clean. Parking nearby on the street can be tricky, we found it difficult to get a spot and ended up having a bit of a walk. We will be back to try some of the other dishes.

Loved the tapas type menu. Slightly pricer than some restaurants in the area. Only downside was the unfortunate nachos, which seems to be an Irish way of serving/making them rather than just bad cooking. Liquid cheese and nothing cooked. Different. Otherwise we enjoyed ourselves.

Food was delicious, and the service was exceptional. Highly recommended. Only downside was the toilets which really need refurbished.

Was here tonight and it was absolutely beautiful. I have been to a few restaurants recently and the food here was perfect, the service was excellent, you couldn't fault one thing. With literally 2 members of staff servicing a nearly full restaurant was expert skills. They were very friendly, happy and got our meals perfect, I asked for no tomato on my burger, my friend asked for everything on his and my other friend asked for specific things to be removed from his and they got it spot on, most other places usually get something wrong. The starters were great and you got loads, I got the halloumi sticks with honey and chilli sauce and there were quite a few, I also got a small plate of hot wings because I can't pass them, there was about 7/8 on the plate. Both tasted fantastic and cooked to perfection. Dessert was the pecan pie, can't beat a good pecan pie, very tasty. And it was 3 courses for £24.95 bargain. Highly recommend Acton's and will definitely be returning and telling more people about it.

Had a lovely meal in Acton’s on a very busy night. The food was delicious - freshly cooked, piping hot and we had a very short wait for it to arrive. However, it was the staff who impressed me most- really pleasant and super efficient, despite the number of customers. I will definitely be back.

Server was amazing. Knew the options for celiac and dairy free plus they have an allergen list if they were unsure. Had a lot to choose from including a gluten free vegan dessert they had, not on menu but was so good! Was confident to eat here and would go back!

Food is too good. Bangladeshi travelers may enjoy the food.

I was in here for a pre-theatre dinner. The pre theatre munu was smallish but covered all the bases. £19.95 for two courses £24.95 for three. We arrived around 5 and things were quite speedy. My carrot and coriander soup was very good with a nice warm base note of pepper. My burger was good too. Thick patties that felt home made rather than bought in. It came with lettuce, pickle and relish already in there which was fine by me. Fries were good too, not too skinny for my liking. I maybe didn't read the menu well enough or perhaps more accurately I have limited experience with vegan fare but I chose the vegan option for desert, which was a raspberry frangipane tart with vegan ice cream. The tart was good enough. Nice light frangipan and raspberry on a too chewy pastry base. It came with vegan ice cream which I haven't had before and I wouldn't be having it again! No taste of cream (obviously) but a slightly oily texture which was an unpleasant surprise to this first timer with vegan ice cream. Some drinks and a compulsory service charge for our table of 8 took us to around £34.50 each. We were finished, paid up and had plenty of time to walk round to the opera house and be in nice and early for our 7.30 start.

Good service, tasty food and a nice quiet atmosphere. You never felt forgotten or rushed. I'll be back and will make a point to recommend it to others.

Lovely atmosphere. Food was nice enough.... but it's a crime not to have malt vinegar with the lovely thick chips. White vinegar just doesn't cut it.

Food is ok. More like a greasy diner than a restaurant. The member of staff was very impatient and rude. We would not hurry back or recommend to others.

As a cealliac i hate eating out ... But no longer , Acton's offers a hearty menu the majority of offered gluten free , the fish and chips gf are a must. Fine dining it is not nor purports to be , but it's fantastic for a night out, food before a shoe , family celebrations etc Staff very accommodating

I've been twice in the past few months and each time it has been exceptional. Very friendly staff, a great menu, speedy service and reasonably priced. Great location. Ideal. Although the lighting is quite dim, it's an excellent restaurant. Will definitely return soon!

We booked a table for 14 people for a 18th birthday celebration, the restaurant was amazing, the staff very friendly and attentive. The food was absolutely gorgeous with a great variety of choices. We all had an amazing time, I cant thank them enough.

I go here every year for my birthday and every year for my Glasgow uni friends reunion and we have always came away with bellies full of yummy food & lashings of good drinks. My last birthday we had 12 people and about 6 of those have since been back themselves as they were as impressed as we were. Nan now makes it a regular before the opera house! They do excellent vegan options too - the nut roast was outstanding please bring it back!! Gin fizz cocktail is too easy to drink and husband loves the salmon. After dinner cappuccino was perfect 👌🏽 We will be back year in year out.

Excellent food, location and service. Can't recommend Acton's highly enough for a meal out. We attended last night for a family celebration as a party of 9 so got the chance to try most of the menu. There was a great section to choose from and everything was to a high standard. The food was all delicious and to a very high standard. We also tried the majority of the cocktail menu which were all excellent. The mango daquari was particularly good. Staff were also brilliant, very friendly and attentive. Thoroughly made the night a good one.

Incredible GF menu options, also available in the children’s menu because for some reason other restaurants don’t include GF options in the children ‘s one. When I asked if the ketchup was GF the manager was not sure. I explained that Heinz brand is GF, she said that is the brand they have but went to check anyway. That was good. Service was friendly and efficient. The food was nice.

Excellent experience in Actons last evening, the food was amazing with top class service. I would highly recommend Actons during your trip to Belfast.

This is my second time at Actons. We had the two course menu with a carafe of wine.. the meal was outstanding and piping hot. All the Staff are very attentive but a special mention to Gillian who remembered us and took the time to have a chat I would highly recommend

Loved this restaurant. They had many gluten Free options. It was our first real meal after traveling. They had Gluten Free garlic cheese bread for a starter that was amazing. Whole meal was wonderful and staff was very attentive. Great service! Highly recommend this restaurant .
