Aberbargoed Indian Takeaway in Caerphilly

The curry was alright (only goodish bit) but the chicken was chewy. The quality has sadly changed for the worst. The meals weren't very warm either and the scampi was pink on the inside. Had to through it away. The keema naan, the meat either wasn't ground properly or something and had gristle in it. And the Peshawari naan were crumbly and dry. Overall a very disappointing meal. Sad to see it go this way.

Chicken madras and chicken Rogan Josh tasted off. Asked for large bag of chips and only got half a bag which were cold. Very disappointed. Will not use again

Loved my food - thank you. Chicken Saag 9/10 Tikka stater 11/10 Keema naan 10/10 Onion bhajis was small and crunchy, with soft inside, PERFECT 11/10 Delivery was maybe 15 minutes, proper gentlemen !

Went here before our game at Aberbargoed Buds FC, great customer service letting us do bank transfer. Janangir Went to the effort of putting our food into pizza boxes. Food tasted great too!

Superb chicken kheema Jhal. Service was superb, they went above and beyond to serve our meals in pizza boxes to make them easier to eat. Bank transfer was slightly trickier than card but service was super friendly. Shame it's 140 miles away from home as they have a number of unique dishes.

Excellent food, friendly staff & prompt service. Used other India takeaways in the area, find this one the best for myself and my family.

Ordered for a house party today, honestly everyone enjoyed the food, we ordered biryanis, mix of curry’s, couple of special shashliks, etc. thank you to all for making sure the food was hot and on time! We shall definitely order again soon!

Okay meal, didn’t taste the best and wasn’t exactly worth the money.

Well what can I say I've tried many mediocre Indians but this the best I've had proper quality 👌 and the staff are brilliant 👏 would highly recommend my regular from now on .

We ordered 2 tikka nan boxes.. when we got it home it was full of onions and big lumps hard onion with 5 pieces of tikka. We called to ask polietly could we bring the food back and get a refund and was rudely told no chance.. we seen the nan box on Facebook it looked amazing but I can tell you now it is NOT and after how rude that man was on the phone it would put you off going there.

It was my second time ordering with them Friday after coming back from a long trip away and us being too tired to cook. I was expecting it to be as great as my first order was with them but sadly I was disappointed! Our chicken tikka masalas were very watery with the sauce having no thickness. The rice and naan breads were nice but the popadoms were plasticky and stale with weird oily lumps on them. I had to bin them so it was a waste of money paying for the Chutney Tray with no popadoms to use them with…such a disappointment! :(

A big disapointment. Dupiaza and Bhuna tasted equally poorly. Like a mushy bucket mix of ingredients. Never again.

The rice, chips and vegetable samosas were lovely, but the currys and tikka all just tasted sweet ,not at all spicy. It was like eating a plate of fruit puree with a few meat lumps in it. The samosas were the spiciest thing on my plate. The food was very colourful though.

Last time I waste money here Food was packed so poorly half of it was in the bags Just look at photo to see how waterary everything was. Everything is just rushed out of the door that's why sauses are so poor just not cooked long enough to thicken up

Absolutely terrible meal and service !! Meal arrived 45 minutes after time given, we phoned to ask where our food was and she said it had left 20 minutes before which explains why i had to reheat the meal. Food looked like it had been thrown around the car, poppadoms in bits and curry all in the bottom of the bag. Bland, watery and chewy chicken.. Never again!!

Watery Korma absolutely shocking

I'm not usually one to complain but the food here was inedible. We ordered two Kormas which tasted like water. It had NO flavour. The rice was extremely unseasoned and bland. Genuinely thought I had covid and lost my taste buds. Oh and yeah, if you think you're having your money back. VERY best of luck to you 🤣 And yeah, the reviews are definitely accurate on here. Seems like its common for them to "forget" parts of your order.

Absolutely the worst Indian food we have ever experienced. All three dishes were indescribably watery, with the look and consistency of wall paper paste (butter chicken, korma and Rogan Josh - essentially all looked the same) with completely no flavor, and all the meat, chicken and lamb was tough and chewy. Naan breads were chewy. We have no idea how they have a 4* rating, either a lot of loyal friends reviewing or something is up!

Rip off. Way overpriced. 4.95 for delivery less than 1 mile.

Staff are very friendly and polite 🌟🌟🌟🌟 Food portions are ridiculously bad and overpriced! 3 tiny pieces of tikka which is nearly £4 , had altogether £35 worth of food and it looked hardly nothing ❌❌❌❌❌

Just had a lamb madras and was told would have to pay extra as its lamb (which i didnt mind). However, when gettimg this home there was 5 small pieces of lamb in the whole curry. Really skanky and disapponting

Was going to order on just eat. But with a minimum order of £40 and a £6.50 delivery fee I'm afraid its a 1 star rating and a lost customer before I even got as far as placing my first order.

Food arrived on time. But lukewarm stale chips and watery rice. Not the best takeaway, doesn't inspire me to order again... sorry but no.

The Staff are so sweet and polite. They make their customers feel welcomed. And their food is absolutely gorgeous. I love the masala and the masala is bursting with so many fantastic flavours. I hope I can eat there again.

Terrible, my mother's Passanda was nothing of the kind was hot and red. No coconut, no cream, no cashew nuts. She ordered this dish because it is mild. She contacted Aberbargoed to report the problem. They refused to replace the meal for Passanda. They broke the law as the dish is not as described. Worst Indian ever. No customer service and disreputable.

The best Indian takeaway around by far!! Fantastic service and amazing food. The food quality is worth every penny. Highly recommended - you will not be disappointed!

Just had chicken and mushroom balti and a keema nan. Delicious. Ate every last bit. Highly recommend. Hubby had chicken tikka pathia. He wolfed his too. Excellent value.

Waited over 45 mins in the takeaway for our food. Got home to find 2 meals missing, replaced when we drove back. All 4 curries tasted exactly the same just different colours - no ghee, no spice, little flavour. Sundries good if a little over done. It was a very busy Saturday night at 8pm but will never buy from again.

First time ordering from here tonight. Waited over an hour for the food, which arrived spilled out into the bag. The Rogan Josh was a pale watery mess with no flavour at all. Had to send it back and order something else, as they offered no refund. Will never order again, waste of money for awful food.

Easily the worst Indian meal I have ever had the displeasure of eating, curry's turned up leaking in the bag for starters, late I might add, the first curry I opened said masala on the lid, it was like a red watery consistence with a bit of chicken in it and nothing else, not very inviting however this wasn't a curry we ordered, it was supposed to be a chicken korma, the other curry wasn't much better but at least that turned up, this was an order over £35 I might add. Thinking we would eat the starters, ring the takeaway and get our curry sent out we could still all eat our meal together, it turned up over an hour later, by this time we were a bit fed up of eating half of the starters which were ok, the chicken chat was nice, I can't be all doom and gloom, by the time we sat down to eat our Curry almost 3 hours had passed since we placed the order it just wasn't worth the wait, mediocre at best, unfortunately I won't be rushing back

Always the best experience with this lot! Order a lot of food from them quite regularly as Khan and the boys never fail to deliver. Top top takeaway! Best Indian around, can’t fault them :)

Ordered £60 worth of food for Delivery. The driver told us that we had to meet her outside, after walking outside she refused to get out the car to come to the door. Having just socks on and walked down from the top floor flat called back the restaurant who said their driver was paranoid? Restaurant manager said she would come back ...driver called and said she was in the next town and would come back in ten mins.. said not to bother as food would have been stone cold... Very weird experience and lost out on order

The mint sauce foil container had broken and emptied into the bag, ruining some of the prawn puri. I would suggest putting it in a stronger container or a separate bag, so it's not squeezed in the top

I looked on reviews to people saying food was bland so I put in that I like spice food was beautiful and delivery was earlier than estimated time fab service

The food from this place is tasty, there's no doubting that. However, it is utterly ridiculous to expect a minimum spend of £17.95 from a takeaway. I understand that it may be demand driven, but it's very difficult for an individual to order from you without over-spending and wasting food. This appears to have changed quite recently.

Sorry but no flavour to the currys we ordered. Tikka masala didn't have no flavour was like soup with chicken in. The keema naan kebab tikka was just full of onions and stuff hardly no meat at all. Very dissapoineted and not happy with the money spent. Still hungry after spending that amount of money.

Stopped ordering because food was cold the last few times tried it again last night what a mess food all tipped in bag all foil cartons crushed looked like it had been thrown about to top it off half the order was missing so had to wait for it to come so rest of food was cold never again

What a loud of rubbish the worst meal I have ever tasted I've eat better frozen meal not only was the curry and everything else watery but cold and the popperdoms where as appetising as a soul of a shoe nana bread was like cardboard the forgot the drink and we're sent back with them and just eat asked them to refund the meal which the refused disgusting service and food won't be using again glad that we ordered thou just eat as the have just refund it instead stay well clear

Take away was late and when it arrived it was freezing cold. And when I rang the restaurant they said I would not be able to have my money back. Ended having to microwave our meals.

Food was absolutely georgeous just the delivery time was a bit off was supposed to be 20:35 and they added 25 minutes to it which I didn't mind so was due at nine but I didn't get it till 21:45 so was a long wait considering I ordered at 19:35 but was lovely food and will order again

Our food was later than delivery time although they had already added 25 mins etc to the delivery time. When our delivery did arrive we had no rice so contacted them to which we could have either waited till the next delivery in our area for it ( our food took ridiculous length of time) or we could have a large pilau rice next visit. We were completely unsatisfied and believe we should have been offered a refund as the rice was the main part of our meal.

Even though it was late coming the lady explained why it was late and apologised which was very decent of her so I'm still giving full stars and the food is always lush.
