It's an interesting bar design. It's more of a youthful, party-oriented destination. There are a lot of interesting cocktails, a professional bartender.

Amazing cocktails, such a good vibe, the best music, what more could you want. Highly recommend for drinks in Dundee.

Honestly is there anything better than a place that brings classic drinks and also branch out for custom requests? Dave is amazing (sorry to shout him out). Genuinely we've had a lovely time each time we've been in. 🥰

Amazing place! The staff here are super friendly and welcoming. Had a great time chatting with the staff! Some of the best cocktails I’ve had in a while and they can go off book if you fancy something different! Prepare to spend lots of money here!

OK before I start, let me explain something. The food here got three stars, but I didn't eat here. My partner has eaten here and I trust her judgement. I couldn't taste it any higher, because they no longer do food, Hopefully that will change in the future though. Our visit was purely alcohol based, but let me tell you, the drinks were something to behold. The Duty manager happened to be our batman for the night. The charismatic Dave is an extremely talented cocktail barman. Incredibly friendly and a very obvious asset to the company that owns this bar. The decor is insane, the music is excellent. There are retro arcade games just as you come in, for a bit of light entertainment. I cannot recommend this bar enough. Dave, if you read this, thank you. We had no requirement to move bars and I'm glad we stayed. Check this place out, but eat first, these cocktails are not for the faint hearted

I have traveled to many bars in the world and I have to say this is best bar I have ever been to. The service and the atmosphere is absolutely amazing and the bartenders are amazing! Highly recommend!

Had an awesome time with an incredibly cool bartender! He treated us to some mixologist tricks, turning regular drinks into personalized cocktails named after each person. Being all about aesthetics, I went all out and asked for a zombie-like drink with fire – and he delivered! The flaming drink was absolutely beautiful. 🔥🍹 While the bartender was fantastic with mixology tricks and personalized drinks, there was one downside. He got too comfortable and shared unprofessional stories about a client who criticized his drink. It was a bit off-putting despite the overall enjoyable experience. 🤔

Good pint, nice pub. but it was spoilt by customers e-vaping in the bar. Staff turned a blind eye to this. I want to breathe air, not bubble gum flavoured smoke.

My partner dragged me in here and I expected not to like it as I am not a big fan of drinking. But the bar staff were very accommodating- helping me find a drink that wasn't too strong and my partner getting one of the many stocked rums. The music taste was also very nice, right up our ally. We will definitely be coming back here!

The guy who always seems to be alone behind the bar on weekends is phenomenal, despite the venue being bustling on Friday and Saturday nights. Always efficient, welcoming and friendly service - get him a barback and you’d triple your business!

Love it here, times it is open is limited sadly....but what an awesome place with friendly and fun staff. Would recommend a visit, a place with a difference.

Fantastic barstaff, good couple of arcade games, brilliant photo booth, would recommend to anyone. Definitely do the pickle back, it's red cabbage so it's much more peppery than you'd expect

What a place, popped in hear on the off chance. The place is right up my street. Looks fantastic and has a great vibe. Only had a few pints in here but the pictures says it all. Well worth a visit!

Pub was full and 2 behind bar - such a shame

Super cool aesthetic with one of the warmest most hospitable staff member I have met. The gentleman working in the afternoon on Saturday the 22nd (didn't get his name) made my girlfriend and I feel very welcome and went out his way to make us off menu cocktails that he recommended. They were amazing! The Craquria was a personal favourite of mine.

One of the coolest bars I have ever been to and I have been to many! Drink prices are fair and the staff were great. 5 stars all the way!

A bit dark. Tripped and fell as soon as I entered as the entrance is well lit, but as soo nas you get to the stairs, you're blinded with the change is light levels.. not 1 apology from the staff or anything. The entrance is well lit, however 90% of the place is in darkness, including the eco friendly toilet lights that look like they came from home bargains... 50 lumens at best.. Wouldn't go again unless I had to

I have never been to a bar that is so welcoming. The staff are so genuinely caring, interesting, and engaging. I tend to only stop into Abandoned Ship on my way home so I'm maybe not best placed to review the place on a weekend but no matter when I turn up the staff make me feel extremely welcome. Huge shout out to Dave, Josh, Nicole, Quinn, Charlie, Steph, and Matt. No matter who's on, you're welcome.

Was here a couple weeks ago for my birthday as it's our favourite place in Dundee to drink due to the one off decor.. My friends and I were served drinks by a man named Steffan who made inappropriate comments about a friend of mine's breast and the cut of her top.when we pointed out how inappropriate his comments where he was extremely rude and told us all to leave without finishing our drinks. I asked to speak to a manager to complain about his service and was told that he was the manager and that if my friend didnt like the so called compliment about her outfit she could leave. Will not be coming here any more as I don't appreciate being harrased by members of staff in a bar I usually feel safe in. Would give 0 stars for service if I could.

What a cracking pub. My other half and i were on a wee weejkend away from Glasgow and this was our pub of choice after discoveringt it; lovely staff, great drinks, cracking tunes - felt like a wee home away from home. Thank you 🙂

Booked in thinking we were in the bird and bear , was a bit gutted it was here , got seated outside it was freezing ! Nicky the barman was just amazing with us , we had our tiny dog and he brought him a blanket then got us a table inside , love the place , we’re old ! This place was loud and not a place we would have chosen but so glad we ended up here , food was amazing , staff are just so nice , Nicky is a credit to this place he went above and beyond for Us , really fab experience

Great drinks and nice food, the benches outside while being temporary and only for the outside drinking law, they were super flimsy feeling and i felt like i was going to fall.

Have ordered from here over lockdown about 10 times now and it is consistently the best take away food in Dundee. Hands down. so impressed that I've been putting them on to all of my friends too! had a small mix-up the other night and Chris got back to me and offered not only his apologies but some complimentary food as a good will gesture. Absolutely first class guys, keep up the outstanding work!

This place is so neat. I mean, it is just so unique. Went here and sat outside, ordering a pint of the Shipfaced Lager, and it was so good. Fresh, smooth, and just right. The staff were friendly and flexible, as we arrived early (before) our reservation time, and were still able to be seated. Service was quick, and the food that they were putting out (we just drank) looked incredible. When we went to pay, we went into the restaurant, which had black walls and designs all over the walls, including a lot of crude, vulgar humor (very good). There was also a small arcade at the front, with plenty of flashing lights, and the restrooms had plenty of jokes on the walls, too, in white text. Just looking at the walls and using the restroom was a blast. When we finally did pay, the bar looked spectacular, with a wide assortment of alcohol, and the pub had a second level as well with plenty of padded seats (all of which looked very comfortable). Additionally, the music that was playing was great. You better be here when this place opens up completely to indoor seating. You'll have an awesome night

We picked up an order during lockdown and was so surprised at how delicious and well prepared everything was (truffle chicken burgers highly recommended). Also really happy to see everyone was wearing masks throughout the handling etc. staff is super friendly and can't wait for them to be opened up again!

Cocktails are rank, value frozen food, barely reheated. Definitely not going near this place again, if only I could give less than 1 star.

Great experience. A hidden gem. Great good, decent portion size, quality ingredients. Just wish I'd brought some change so I could have had a game on one of the video game machines. Staff were super friendly. Absolutely worth a visit.

£40 quid down the drain. Arrived on time but super soggy and just above room temp. Deliveroo must have taken the scenic route and possible hit the skate park on the way here as the individual packs were all mixed together. Then restraint was 85yards from my hotel. Pickup wasn't an option. Which pisses me off as I could have picked it up when it was hot and fresh. Deep fried pickles were skinny pickles from a jar. Not properly dried before battered so full of air bubbles and terrible. Steer clear of this place!

Pretty bar but the food was really average. Ordered the philly fries which had about 2 bits of steak in it and far too much cream cheese. Cocktails list good but expensive for what you get. A shame as first night of holidays but felt far too much for dinner style average food. Wouldn't go back

Very disappointed. Had a deliveroo order this evening, burger was over done and dry, the chips were undercooked and soggy and some of the chicken wings still had feathers. Could only be worse if it had arrived cold. Definitely not worth the price.

Well, they stick to their schtick. Really don't recommend the Pickle Back unless you really dislike one of your drinking buddies. Then give it to them. The other beers are good solid ones, fun arcade style games machines too inside

Did not disappoint Welcomed by awesome arcade games at the front door ( 2nd visit I will play them had no change ) Staff are friendly and knowledgeable The burger I ordered was spot on, Rare to come across handmade well seasoned patties, Little in the dry side not badly just seen the heat a little to long. Nice staff. Really cool and unique inside and outside. Cocktail menu was interesting and creative, cocktails we got tasted okay but seemed slightly overpriced and not as good quality compared to other bars in the area.

I'd move to Dundee just to go to this place on a regular basis it's that good, great food, even better staff and the atmosphere is amazing, ask the staff about there special hunt game and have fun

My friends and I love Abandon Ship. The interior design alone is breathtaking and really gives off that grunge vibe alongside the music. The staff are excellent and really know their drinks - I was once told the story of how Sailor Jerry was made! Drinks are a tad pricey but it's worth it for the service and the tasty drinks! Food is also worth mentioning if you're a foodie, like me! Only downside is that the place is a little dark and noisy at night. Otherwise, love, love, love!

Seems no alot of people know bout this place so on fri when the tow was buzzing at 6.45 we got a seat! Great..it did get full to bursting later.

We came on Friday for drinks and just to check out the place, we stayed for a good few hours just enjoying the atmosphere, theres a massive range of drinks on hand and a collection of cocktails with interesting names..came back on Saturday for food and we weren't let down, apart from my girlfriend's burger, which was a way too pink for her but the staff were more than happy to try redo it, which we cant thank them enough for. It's worth coming to Dundee just to check out this mad mad place and the drawings on the walls, the music and in general the atmosphere and the bar staff that are worth watching while they're slinging a cocktail through the air.
