Had takeaway chicken balti very bland and like rubber the rice was luke warm plain nan like dough not again my friend got I normally use curry lounge

Lovely food,relaxed atmosphere,nice staff

Food was good so was service enjoyed our meal

Went this evening for a birthday celebration,all staff were extremely attentive and kind and extremely patient with us,the food was delicious and really good sized portions!!staff were extremely kind and thoughtful with my young grandson and gave him a punky ice cream,thankyou so much for a wonderful dining experience,we shall return!⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Awful, no taste or flavour in a madras dish ! Wasted my money, tasted like had been watered down, I've had chip shop curry sauce with more kick and flavour, thoroughly disappointed.

Popadoms stale, mint yogurt dip tasted like it had been sat there all night Starters wasn’t too bad but the salad wasnt as fresh as it could be One of the mains was very salty and chicken was dry pathia didn’t even taste like pathia Waiter was very rude, no organisation just came put the food on the table then realised no room for plates so ended up putting them on our knife’s and forks Been here a few times and was always ok however after our last experience will not be returning Very very disappointed

Food arrived hot which is brilliant as so many takeaways come cold. Could come with a bit more flavour. Tasted quite bland compared to a curry house we used to use at our old house.

Went to Aashiqs for a new year meal with a group of people. We were seated in the back room. The area was good which we sat in. We were watched like a hawk by the waiter and that was quite uncomfortable, I understand his job is to serve us and be there for our requests but he was staring at us and our food. We were asked if we wanted any food, without having been given a menu. I ordered the Chicken Tikka Meal, and though the chicken portion was generous, it didn't have a lot of taste. Overall OK for the price but uncomfortable at times.

Had my first takeaway from Aashiqs tonight. Different, fresh and correct food. Not stodgy with ghee, but alive with veg and fruit flavours. Beautifully presented too. Highly recommended

Great Indian restaurant, one of the best in the area. I rated 5 stars for food, service and atmosphere because it's just that simple. The staff are lovely and always have a laugh with you, and the food was amazing. I will definitely return in the future.

Book table arrived in a taxi to be told that we have 20mins to order because they were closing. So we left.

First time ordering from here me and my partner both have ostomies so have too be careful about what we eat , I asked for creamy chicken tikka masala my chap can be fussy but he too enjoyed it , this food is amazing, tasty and youre able too pay cash on delivery, good portion sizes so would definitely use again without a doubt was amazing service and food thankyou

Absolut gem of a indian restaurant. Went in on a Wednesday night when there was a 2 for 1 deal on but to be honest it would have been worth the full cost anyday! I had the lamb and Butternut Squash curry for the first time 👍🏻👍🏻 and my friend had the vegetarian option.... absolutely amazing meal guys! We will be returning

Great Indian food in Upper Gornal, highly recommended

I've been a long standing customer of Aashiqs however the food quality has deteriorated considerably. I'm not sure if they are under management as I've not seen anyone I recognise from previous times. We ordered a takeaway tonight which we do on a regular - ish basis, tonight the balti was absolutely tasteless with water on our plates which was coming out of the food. Absolutely not acceptable especially when it cost us £30 !! We will not be returning.

I've been ordering delivery from this restaurant weekly recently. Last week we made an order, food came quickly was hot and delicious. Then coincidently I saw a post of Facebook with many emojis of sick faces on a story of Aashiqs hygiene rating which was one star. We were highly disappointed and were put off from finishing our food which wasn't cheap. I had also been ordering from their own app and collected kudos credits. It's a real shame because trust me the food is delicious but you just can't trust food that you don't see being prepared and the one star was given for a reason. I'm still gonna award them top stars because every time I ordered the food was on point and I haven't been ill. I hope they read this. That rating will ruin your business, you have to pull out all stops and get a 5 star rating now. It's the only way to recover from a one star. You've lost a customer here but I'll keep watching your progress. Get a higher rating and I'll run back. Good luck guys. DJ

Delayed service, had to wait for drinks excess of 30 minutes of ordering (only 4 other customers dining) Slow service with food. Staff and customer (collecting food) had a disagreement resulting in restaurant member of staff swearing at customer within ear shot of restaurant customers being able to hear, the member of staff then went on to talk about customer to restaurant users. Would not return in a hurry 😩😩

Booked a table for new years eve. Very attentive when first arrived ! Think to inform us it was a set menu that we did not get told about at time of booking. Ok for £20 per head, however starter was a mix of frozen bits, then a curry and rice or Nan and prosecco, which the men in our party didn't want. It was impossible to get a round of drinks...... Missed out on many ££££, took ages for bill and each course. We had booked an early table as going on else where to celebrate. Ok. Will not rush to return. Decor of restaurant pleasant.

Have used this restaurant several time’s now and the meals have all been excellent, minor wait whilst meal is prepared but well worth it, on this occasion had chicken and mushroom Balti with Peshawar Nan and chicken korma. Have also dined in and the service, decor and staff are first rate. Recommend wholeheartedly.

I have used this restaurant many times in the past. How ever I went for aeal there on Saturday night. And the lamb was awful on everybody's meal who had lamb mine was one of the chefs special and the meat was very tough and grisserly my meal was exchanged for something else I had a chicken tikka which was ok. But definitely not the best as it always was I think a previous review was probably right under new managment. Cheap food.

They use the cheapest ingredients and food is precooked (hence why the 2 for 1 midweek deal) Customer service is non existent, 3 out the 5 waiters were drunk Don’t get roped in by this low quality Bengali food it is definitely NOT Indian Just visit a Indian pub and enjoy bigger portions, tastier food at lower cost! Proper Indian food at affordable prices. Family friendly Britannia - DY1 1QU - Less than 10 minutes away. Family friend with plenty of screens for live sport. Tasty food at affordable prices. The Garden Bar - WV4 6NZ - Less than 10 minutes. Massive beer garden, tasty cocktails and plenty of food selection. Sport screens and pool table.

Have not been in for a while but again very friendly and meal was top notch

wendsday and Thursday 2 for one . great food the only problem is have the same every week the price never the same last time went from £35 jumped to £48 !

Discusting to say the least I am pregnant went here today for food the starters I ordered we’re samosas as I bitten into one it was freezing cold as tho it had been cooked and then frozen again then thawed discusting this could of made me and my unborn baby I’ll please be careful

Favourite Indian restaurant in gornal. Been visiting for years and very rarely have an issue. Staff very nice. Chicken tikka pathia is a great favourite.

First time at restaurant. Service for take away slow despite lots of staff. Food ok, there are far better in the Dudley area. Restaurant was busy due to 2 for 1 deal.

Absolutely beautiful food. Dined In a few times but I mainly order for delivery. Never any issues, food is always piping hot and just beautiful. The lamb always melts in my mouth, which is a must when your ordering Indian food. The staff are friendly and are more than happy to help. 100% recommend. The two for one dine in on a Wednesday&Thursday is a great offer, really worth the money. Thanks guys for top quality food!

This was our favourite indian always great food and great service but it seems there might have been change in management. Very poor service starter didnt come for an hour after ordering, i asked waiter if it was busy on takeaway side as I thought this might be why it was slow, he shrugged no not really! sarcastic waiter like gornals basil fawlty. Food is still good but no service cancels it out sorry wont be returning.

Absolutely appalling service went there for a meal last night waited almost two hours for food, starter never arrived main meal was cold waiter didn't seemed bothered when we complained. Also took half hr to be asked what drink we wanted and tried too charge for all as they said deduction off starter Absolutely terrible service was told got a big table to deal with so we was neglected they obviously can not handle place full I didn't think the place should be paid at all but we sis pay for some still too much in my eyes never again

I’ve not used this restaurant for a while but it was always pretty decent so I thought I’d give it another go. Order arrived and was completely missing a main. Main was pretty bland in all honesty and the rice was watery. Even the naan tasted funny. I’ve given three stars to reflect the service as opposed to the actual food as the missing main plus extra rice and chips was delivered promptly no sooner I phoned to inform them. Probably not somewhere I’d use again though if I’m honest which is a shame as it used to be really nice.

Delivered on time. Food sadly bland with very little taste. Ordered the Dupiaza, with King Prawns described as “A beautiful combination with onions, garlic and spices that produce a medium hot semi dry dish”. The dish was far from medium hot and certainly not semi dry. Worst of all it did not contain prawns. It was a meal filled with onions, tomatoes, a few green peppers and tiny little shrimps in a bland sauce. Most disappointing. Two stars for polite telephone customer service over and on time delivery.

Ordered tonight after receiving flyer through the door! Very disappointed said £1 delivery and charged £2 because of COVID? What? Meal was dire - hardly any meat and bright pink sauce (tika) nothing else! Chips ok but £2.50 for small bag so they should be! 1 complimentary poppodom was stale! I will not be ordering again! Total waste of money!

I have had a few dining inside the restaurant meals as well must say the staff were very friendly and took their time explaining the menu items despite having many other tables full of dinners. When the food arrived it was presented very well and the taste was amazing, even my eldest daughter enjoyed it. Must try it

First visit to Aashiqs - a different range of curry -food very good and all at a reasonable price. Some excellent offers during the week. Staff very courteous too. Love this place food is lovely generous portions lovely presentation only slight criticism is that plates cleared before my friend had finished eating. Will definitely return.
