What a beautiful find!!! Popped in with a friend and my baby daughter for a coffee. The staff couldn't have been more helpful and accommodating to us. Safe and clean high chair given and all children utensils. They even cut the straw so my daughter could easily use it!! Once in we couldn't resist the sweets menu! Such wonderful choices. My friend and I couldn't have been any happier with our food and have been telling people about it ever since. A lovely ambiance made even better by other friendly customers. We can't wait to return 🤍

We came to The house of cakes in Wellington this afternoon to meet up with friends. I had a Freddo waffle with ice cream and squirt y cream and a lemon san Pellegrino to drink. It is a very nice coffee shop with a garden out the back. We also took some cakes home. I am not keen on dogs and there was a little dog that didn’t even jump up at you. Will be back again one day.

Thank you to Lesley and the team for another Great experience, I Popped into A House of cake for my son's birthday to treat him to a milkshake and slice of cake, They added a candle and gave my son (aged 9) a helium balloon as a surprise and song him happy birthday. They always go above and beyond. Thank you for a great birthday treat.

I’ve shopped at A House of Cake several times. Mostly I pop on for their delicious Terrys Chocolate Orange Brownies which are amazing. I’ve eaten in a couple of times and can highly recommend their sundaes. The owners and staff are very friendly and helpful

We had an amazing visit to house of cake back in the summer last year. I had been there for waffles with a friend previously and wanted to share it with my family. Took the kids as an end of summer treat and we were not disappointed! The waffles are so yummy and we were spoilt for choice. Ended up choosing 3 different ones and all sharing! We have since been to a waffle chain restaurant and all said that the house of cake was soooooooo much better and wouldn’t ever choose the chain over going back to the house of cake again! Daddy was super jealous we had been without him so another visit is definitely on the cards! The staff were so friendly and nice and were so good with the kids. We even visited the garden and the children played with the toys in the sunshine while I finished my coffee.

We have used the pub for many years but having moved away we made a special trip back and weren't disappointed. The owners have now added the 'Snuggery' which is a beautiful self contained holiday let which is in the old part of the pub. We were greeted by the warmest of welcomes from Vic and Paulette [the owners] and shown to our room which consisted of a lounge, kitchen and beautiful bedroom with en-suite bathroom. Once settled in we were made to feel welcome in the bar where we had drinks and caught up before sitting down to a wonderful meal. My partner and I both had the steak and ale pie with fresh, perfectly cooked veg and crispy chips [some of which kept finding their way onto my partners plate!!] - followed by sticky toffee pud for him and cheese cake for me! The service is warm, friendly and nothing is too much trouble for the team. After a few more drinks we went up to our room and had a fab nights sleep before heading down in the morning to a roaring log fire and freshly cooked breakfast. Needless to say we didn't want to leave!
