Popped in for a lunch time sandwich and was really impressed. Very attentive service from a team of staff who are clearly keen to please. Lovely cup of tea and a cheese salad sandwich - all very fresh and quickly delivered. Definitely worth a visit.

I booked Christmas lunch for a my work colleagues and we had a fantastic time. We were so well looked after, from the ease with which our dietary requirements (some gluten free, some vegan) were handled to the great banter and good service provided by all servers. The food was so tasty, and huge portions! Great value for money - would highly recommend.

Met the staff at a Different Brew today and am so impressed with what they are doing at their restaurant! Great food (and very good value), fab service and they couldn't have made our stay more pleasant. We booked for 10-12 people but when we turned up with 14 hungry triathletes after our race it was no trouble for them to get us all served.

Visted the other day, plenty of parking, friendly attentive staff couldn't do enough for you. First time I had been here and would recommend it. Plenty of space inside or out in the garden. Food was very good, presented well and cooked fresh.We will definitely be coming back. Thank you.

Have visited twice now for food and coffee. Both times have been greeted by friendly staff and been excellent value for money.

Popped in twice recently, once for breakfast and once for coffee/cake . Both were very good. The service was really friendly and efficient with a good choice of freshly prepared options. The lunch options looked very tempting too. Breakfast was tasty with a good sized portions and very fresh.The coffee and cakes were equally tasty, fresh and well served. Overall two very satisfactory visits and we will be going there again. It’s also very good value for money.

A great place for food, service and value. It is a Cafe run by and for B.O.L.D. Charity, who help, care for and teach people with learning disabilities. There are are brilliant charity staff and their clients working here and it is fantastic. My last visit was for business.. the food was lovely and the service was excellent. Definitely using this place again and again/ Check it out people, you won't be disappointed.

Beautiful very clean premises. Welcoming and attentive staff, who knew about the menu availability etc. A good range of menu items and beverages. (There is a separate breakfast menu too!)We ordered toasties, which arrived quite quickly. They were well filled and still hot at the table, came with steak chips done just right.I ordered a soya flat white coffee, which was also hot, with an extra portion of soya milk in a little jug.The meal was so substantial that we didn't have room for any dessert, but the home-made cakes looked very tempting!Very happy with our visit, and pleased to think we were helping the differently-abled people who run this very nice restaurant

Treated ourselves to afternoon tea here today and were well impressed. We enjoyed two rounds of sandwiches with garnish, two scones with butter and jam, two rock cakes and two pieces of chocolate brownie with a large pot of tea for a tenner. The sandwiches were very fresh and the cakes still warm. Robert, our very cheerful server went to a great deal of trouble to ensure our order was just as we wanted it and the service was prompt. The cafe was clean and nicely decorated and the atmosphere was warm and friendly. All in all a very pleasant experience

This cafe was recommended to us for good food and large portions.It certainly provided both. The car park proved a bit of a puzzle but once sorted everything else was great. Glutton free bacon sandwich with hot chocolate was lovely and the lady said as the bread slices were a bit small she served me two! Brilliant Wishing this venture every success

i love this place. The food is excellent and a generous portion. I love the staff and the fact that though a lot of them have learning difficulties they are given a worthwhile job and are so lovely. The art and craft are interesting to see.

This is an odd little spot but definitely worth seeking out - head for the big Sainsbury's north of Bedford and then take the turn off the roundabout towards Clapham, it's just up on the left.

Three of us visited on Monday this week. Given that this is generally a quiet day for restaurants and cafes, it was fairly busy. Staff were incredibly friendly and attentive. Drinks were lovely and food was very tasty. The prices were incredibly cheap but the quality was good. Would definitely recommend!

Visited here for a working lunch with a colleague. Had a small breakfast which was delicious and at £4.45 great value too. Definitely worth a visit. This is a real special place.

Having been a frequent visitor I think the food was even better than normal. Lovely atmosphere - thank you to all the team....

Contrary to the last review this is very much "open". Have met friends for "catch up" several times recently and this is a very relaxed establishment. Although not having eaten myself the food smelt lovely and the place was filling up with people coming for lunch.

This was a nice place, however it closed down over a year go and is now a residence. I have not heard of the café relocating.

A lovely place to eat just on the outskirts of Bedford in the Old Anglers Rest Pub. Reasonably priced food which is home cooked, excellent quality, good sized portions. Would recommend giving it a try.

We had lunch here ,I have to say the atmosphere and service where excellent , we all had the lasagne with salad and garlic bread , it was the best café/restaurant lasagne I have ever had, very authentic , the prices are very good, we went on a Tuesday two mains for £10 worth every penny ,we all would highly recommend a visit, you can even have a glass of wine with your lunch if you would like

Visité por primera vez este lunes y quedé muy impresionado con la calidad y cantidad de la comida y el servicio que mi esposa y yo visitamos de nuevo el miércoles, pero por desgracia todavía no tienen espacio para un flan. Un lugar encantador que a menudo re-visitar. Yo podía ir andando, pero sin duda no caminar de regreso a casa.

Almorcé hoy aquí. Muy buena causa, ya que el personal tienen discapacidades de aprendizaje y obtener todas las ganancias re-invertido. Tips ir a un recipiente para el personal para disfrutar de un día cuando los fondos lo permitan. Un grupo de tres hoy tuvimos una taza de té para compartir, hígado y tocino con puré de patatas y verduras, platos vegetarianos y un desayuno almuerzo con plowmans jamón y queso. Muy buenas porciones de tamaño y muy sabroso. No podía soportar un desierto como demasiado llena. Estamos deseando volver lo antes posible.

Un almuerzo rápido. Buena comida y excelente servicio. El comedor era tranquilo y limpio. El personal era muy acogedor.

This isn't the first time we have visited this lovely little place and we were not disappointed. Myself and 3 friends had booked a table for Christmas lunch.The table had been set out lovely with crackers.The food was really lovely and plenty of it.so much so we couldn't eat it all .The staff were very polite and very helpful they couldn't do enough for us.If you want good home made food A Different Brew is the place to go it is well worth every penny.Dawn Whitmore.

Wow. What a great little place. From the outside we were a bit hesitant but decided to try. What a difference once you get inside. Ok, I'm not personally a fan of odd chairs but that's just me. However you sit down and instantly become more relaxed.We had a light breakfast which was cooked exactly as requested. Also a cheese and ham sandwich which was well packed and presented neatly. And not cheap bread either.Service was a bit all over the place, but there was clearly a lot happening. And the fact that they are assisted by less abled helpers (which is absolutely fabulous)has to be taken into consideration.Fair play to all of you.We will be definitely coming back. And one last point.Homemade chips. Yes, proper ones.Peeled upon order.Awesome.I don't know anywhere that provides this service. And they were spot on.Looking forward to returning.

Had been meaning to pop in and see what was going on here for a while but for some reason never got round to it......... my loss! The furniture and tables have all been restored by the guys and the place looks great inside. There is such a happy atmosphere here and the food is basic but very well prepared. I had the breakfast and it was spot on, and the other half had a toasted panini and hand cut chips also very good.The set up supporting those with a learning disability to have jobs and feel valued is an absolute triumph and I can't praise them enough for the service and the atmosphere. Please support them and visit, you will not be disappointed.

It is run by volunteers for people who have a learning disadvantage. This establishment work on a supportive basis for the workers and volunteers. (We are all disabled in some way, me ,you ,all of us , although it isn't always visible ) This place is a gem. It is different. Some staff need support and they have devised a straight forward system of choosing from the menu to help staff make an efficient order. The atmosphere is relaxed and happy there is lots of laughter. It is well run and the food is well made and lots of it. It is a wonderful place when you need good food, good company and just to feel happy. This place is more than an eating place it is an experience that gives more than it takes.

Went here to celebrate a family birthday. The waitress and waiter were very attentive and eager to please. The food was freshly cooked (large portions) and excellent value for money. The ex public house has been reinvigorated and a credit to the community. We will return

Visited this cafe initially on business but have since been back several times as so impressed with the idea, plus the food is both excellent, generously portioned and superb value for money. The head chef and his managers are excellent with the staff, patient and always clearly explaining what needs to be done. I wish this concept was spread out nationally - recommended!

Organised an evening meal at this very different ex Pub come restaurant.. The meal was very good, especially the burgers which were so large had to disassemble to eat.The sticky toffee pudding was also very good. Came out feeling very full. The staff were very friendly and helpful. It was a good evening.

This place needs to be put on the map. The food is fresh served with a smile. I love this place . Good luck for the future you all deserve to do well

Food lovely, great atmosphere. If you order tea for two ask for an extra tea bag otherwise it's like dishwater.

Went in for hot chocolate and a toasted tea cake. Good value, and I'm proud to be one of their supporters.

Visited for a leaving lunch. Very friendly and was warmly welcomed. Food was excellent and the portions were very generous. Will be returning very soon! Would certainly recommend a visit.Will be returning with the kids to try the waffles and hot chocolate!

This was about our fourth visit for lunch. Every time we have enjoyed everything we had. Couldn't manage a desert again as our mains were so filling. Lovely relaxed atmosphere and everyone is always polite and friendly. Highly recommended

We visited a different brew for a lunch durring half term holiday , a party of five including a child in a wheelchair . We were made very welcome & were seated quickly without being made to feel the whole restaurant had to be rearranged to accommodate the wheelchair . Lunch was served very quickly & hot. Portions were very large , great value . We couldn't manage a pudding so will try them on our next visit !! Really nice environment & great to see everyone enjoying what they do in their work .

The food is very good but not the best. The service is passable, and the general decor is not awe inspiring. So why four stars? This restaurant caters for vulnerable adults with learning disabilities and not just for the clientele. The serving staff are vulnerable adults too. Any restaurant that provides this support to those who do not always feel they belong in society or that they can achieve is to be commended. I had their special burger. It was very tasty, a generous portion of chips, not greasy and all for a very reasonable price.

Good concept helping people get into employment. Food good quality no frills food. Gardeners platter is enormouus amount of various sheese meats and salad. Very good coffee. Now open every weekday. Good Jacket potatoes with generous fillings.

This was my first time and i can say it will not be my last! The food was so delicious, nice portions and ov good quality! One of the best xmas dinners ive had. The service was excellent and so friendly and the decor is so cosy, it feels homely! The cost of the dinner was £10 for 3 courses...its such a great price.. Next to nothing! Will definately be recommending this place to my friends

Very impressed with the service and quality of the food. My friend and I had the Gardeners Platters for two, well there was enough food for four. The presentation and selection of items was most impressive and tasted great. Will be making a trip back there real soon....

Lunch was lovely, freshly cooked to order so a bit of a wait. Delicious crumble and custard. Not a large or busy place but worth a visit.Very reasonable prices.

This is the first time we have been here and we were very impressed by the standard of the food and superb value - roast turkey with all the trimmings followed by a choice of delicious desserts. The staff were very friendly and efficient, especially considering the number of guests on our table. We'll certainly be back soon.

Very warm welcome despite me arriving with two kids who were desperate for a wee! Loved the Sandra special and the kids hot chocolate. Great value, friendly staff, good for kids.

This place is a hidden gem ....have been here a good few times as I can't resist the homemade chips! .....today was ultra special as we had the Christmas lunch....this was such a tasty meal....the homemade mushroom soup delicious, turkey was moist with all the trimmings. My particular favourite were the carrots so sweet and yummy! Followed by individual christmas pudding or a very posh chocolate log...this was the best chocolate log filled with a creamy raspberry filling definitely leave room for it!! The whole team there are great and give the place such a warm buzz...keep up the good work you guys.Anyone who is looking for a light bite or a quick cuppa go visit these guys all homemade .... am confident that you will not be disappointed!!!!! Plus you will be supporting the adult learners and a great charity.

Having been a number of times, I thought there was a real 'buzz' around the place yesterday and it was lovely to see it getting busier. Now they are open Monday to Friday I can only think it will go from strength to strength.They have a Christmas lunch - 3 courses for £9.99 - excellent value and I am sure it will be delicious - I will be back with a group of friends for a 'pre-Christmas' get together lunch.

Stopped by with family last week and we really enjoyed it. Very friendly staff and a nice cosy atmosphere. We are already looking forward to a warm cuppa over the Christmas period here.

went with a few work friends, had tea and lunch, food was fresh and well presented, nice little menu to choose from all home made, and very reasonably price. very helpful and couldn't do enough for you in there. very child friendly as well. would definitely go again. needs to be advertised a bit more as we only found this place by chance.

I went with my daughter and grandchildren.The welcome was warm and the food was excellent.We will recommend this friendly place to anybody who wants a lovely Cup of tea and Home cooked and baked food.

I visited with friends on 25th August .We met up for Lunch.The whole experience was so Lovely .The food was absolutely superb.The staff were very efficient and friendly.i highly recommend to go and try a different brew.you will not be disappointed. Me and my friends are definitely going back very soon.

Been here for lunch a couple of times now and cant recommend it enough. The waiting staff are always smiling and can't do enough for you. The menu is small but with something for everything and the specials ensure that its always interesting.The food is excellent and extremely good value for money. Everything I've had has been homemade and delicious, with very generous portions. Always too full for dessert but have it anyway. the homemade deserts are just too good to miss. A must try

Having been driving by here almost daily I have finally managed to pop in and what a lovely surprise! From the moment we walked in we were greeted with a smile and very warm welcome. This visit was just for a coffee and a bacon roll( truly delicious ) and will definitely be back to try more of the menu very soon.

I've been meaning to pop in here for sometime and very glad I did. It is run by a local charity for adults with learning disabilities and they will serve you at your table and prepare your food in the kitchen. There is something for everyone on the menu and it is very inexpensive. I had a burger with chips for £5.95 the burger was delicious and very filling and it came with freshly cooked potato wedges (piping hot) fresh salad and homemade coleslaw. I was stuffed afterwards but tried a desert. The young lady assured me the apple crumble was nice and as I like it I thought I would try it. It was extremely tasty and served very professionally (clearly homemade) My main course, pudding and Cappuccino came to just over £11, considering the quality of the food it was a bargain so I gave them a generous tip as a donation. They have just started a pudding loyalty card so if you buy 5 puddings over £2.50 you get one free. The quality of the food, the friendly staff combined with the cost of the food means I will definitely be back and I would encourage everyone to try it for lunch.

I have just had the best Mexican Toastada for lunch at A Different Brew Cafe in Clapham (the old Anglers Rest pub for those who are locals). The food , service and experience was superb and such great value for money. The Waffles are a MUST.. Will definelty be going again. Thanks guys ! XXXX

What little gem of a place is this with a wonderful selection of food.We had the biggest ploughmans for Two ever.Big chunks of fresh bread/ butter with 3 different cheeses,mini pork pies,pickles,coleslaw, salad,ham, olives. Hope I haven't missed any thing off...... So much can't remember it all.The young man who served us,Steven Brill was very helpful and nothing was to much trouble.Please surport this restaurant as a lot of the staff are volunteers
