Previously just been for brunch and coffee (which are great) but they have just started doing burgers in the evening. Don’t hesitate and go. Soon. Best burger and fries I’ve ever had.

DISAPPOINTING FOOD AND SERVICE. Went for brunch with my daughter after coming across their menu and Instagram which looked great. We arrived and ordered our food and drinks promptly, the coffee came out as normal but we weren’t made aware of the 35 minute wait for food. After going up to the desk asking whether they had forgotten our order, one member of staff (the red head) instantly got snappy and became very rude, stating it should be out next. Once our food arrived, there was no forthcoming apology about the wait time. We ordered the tiramisu french toast- do not order if you are hungry, very bad value for money and burnt, a very thin dry slice of toast with a teaspoon sized dollop of garnish. we also ordered the brioche bun which had been misinformed to us and ended up being charged £2 for a single mushroom. When questioned on this, the red head became very stroppy and got a colleague to back her up which felt as though they were ganging up. There was no acknowledgment for the wait time or being misinformed and ended up paying £30.36 for 2 tiny long blacks, one slice of burnt dry French toast and a roll with one egg and one mushroom- Awful value for money and the red head’s service was very unpleasant making our visit very uncomfortable.

could have been a lovely visit but the the red head waitress that served us on Sunday 11 Aug at 11am was the most insolent person I’ve ever met: snapped at us, rushed us, spoke to us as if we were stupid or deaf. We were the only people of colour and I did not see her treat the other customers in that way. Non white must = annoying non English speaking barbarian that must be shouted at with disgust. Went back for a cup sleeve and she was shouting ‘what do you want??’ ‘What do you want???’ to my mother as if she the biggest inconvenience in the world. I don’t get what her issue was at all. So disappointing as the place was cute.

We’ve been twice and the Colombian breakfast (vegetarian) is very nice, as are the donuts. The food takes a while to come though, so just bear that in mind when planning your visit.

Went Sunday morning around 9:30 to meet a friend. Lovely and welcoming servers. Ordered a cappuccino and was keen to try the doughnuts as I'd read a lot about them. I ordered 4 to take away (Cinnamon, chocolate, jam and coffee). The server was helpful and advised their favourites which informed my decision. The cappuccino tasted watery and not very strong in flavour. Probably should have returned it but was distracted as my friend had turned up by then and was deep in conversation. So slight disappointment as I really wanted it it be a good coffee. Decided to give them another opportunity so then ordered a latte with my breakfast. The latte was again, just ok. The avocado toast however was amazing. Eggs poached to perfection and the pickle and avocado worked nicely together. Took the doughnuts home and tried them and they were all a bit underwhelming sadly. Oddly, they all tasted stale which was disappointing as they cost £12 for 4, which I was happy to pay for as I'd read they were made in-house. Overall 3/5 rating.

Lovely little café/bat. Good food, good service. The number of tables decent for the size of the room The plates are a little too large for the smaller tables though... pleasant atmosphere in a quieter part of Altrincham.

Their window seats looking over to the park are my favourite place to sit and have a coffee. Food is good (could you add labels to the doughnuts? Love the variety in choice but easier to take in all the options visually 😊)

What a find! We’ve been doing the rounds of breakfast cafes in Altrincham and wow! A bloc! I’ve eaten a lot of breakfasts in my time but possibly none ever better than here. Fantastic fresh tasty produce, sensibly priced, great atmosphere and wonderful staff. And then the doughnuts! Heaven. Thank you. We will be back. A lot.

What a lovely, local, little find. We heard about a bloc from a friend who lives locally. We went for brunch on Saturday. There was a 20 minute wait to get seated but the staff were friendly and helpful. I ordered the Columbian Lunch and my partner got the Chicken Soup. Both were truly excellent. The coffee was perfect and we took away a jam as well as blueberry cheesecake doughnuts. Overall, a perfect lunch. Staff were always on hand and the restaurant its self was beautiful and well cared for.

Disappointing, I'm afraid. Really cool vibes and interior décor. Unfortunately, staff were almost totally inattentive - I felt brushed off. That's the biggest problem - good hospitality covers basically any other sin. Coffee tasted burnt - ashy and bitter. Just bearable in a flat white, undrinkable black. A serious downgrade from the Stutter & Twitch days.

Visited this place twice in a week whilst out on bike rides and on both occasions given a very warm welcome. The menu is small but that’s good because you are guaranteed it freshly cooked perfectly. It’s a fabulous coffee stop with the most delicious doughnuts which are freshly made daily. Lovely coffee and I’m told devine hot chocolate. Sundays prove to be mega busy and although we were settling into outdoor seating we were very pleased on a bitterly cold day when a table quickly became available inside. Service and food excellent. The only downside for cyclists is the lack of space for bikes but there are lampposts very close! This place is definitely on the list to plan a ride around so long as our group is small. Very highly recommended.

Great little new independent cafe, with a very warm, modern take on a french jazzy cafe vibe. Think lots of warm wood, and soft pink and greens. Heard the hype, and since my first visit I have probably spent way too much time in there than I should have. In my experience, it comes across as a great local , that is dynamic in meeting it's customers needs. My feeling is that it's not a particularly extensive menu - but more targeted with emphasis on quality and an extremely well executed breakfast/brunch menu. Most importantly for me...and without question.. THE best coffee in South Manchester ( @grapefriutcoffee would be a very close second in Sale). Great choice of craft beers - I've personally not tried the wine, but the selection looks extensive and we understand it to be from our favourite wine bar @reserveataltymarket..but without the walk. I have a massive soft spot for their home-made donuts.Unfortunately though, later on the weekends, they appear to have sold out of most and I've missed out a couple of times. Finally...the cocktails are ridiculous. We have happily worked our way through the set cocktail menu over the last few Friday nights. They also do classics I've found out. (I am more of a whisky sour or espresso martini fan). Recommended! Weirdly.. I never review some of my local hang outs..only when I travel I tend to feel the need, but this place is special and happy to share. Oh-so very thankful this place has appeared on our doorstep. One questionable review was motivation to bring me here. I support independent local businesses in Alty.. and obviously want them to succeed. No one likes a Ba-ba-ra-ra. ;-/ 11/10 for all my dog walking, family time, couple night needs!!

What a wonderful find!! This place is an absolute gem, if you are looking for THE new coffee/brunch/cocktail spot, trust me when I say this is the place. Even from the outside it looks super cozy and cute, then when you enter it’s a delightful feast for you eyes of pastel walls, quirky ornaments and handmade plates. You can see a lot of thought and love has went into the concept. This is all elevated by enthusiastic, approachable and attentive staff who can’t help you enough. They seem to delight in telling you all the available cakes and flavours of the (delicious) hand made donuts that are made by the owner. I have been back several times now and each time it’s been a consistently lovely experience not to mention the exceptional coffee. Last time I visited I had the veggie option for brunch and let me tell you it’s the best avocado toast on the market, it comes with whipped feta which is now my new obsession. Go support local business and grab a donut…or two!

Very disappointing visit. Firstly one of the assistants looked in a small milk jug then proceeded to wipe around the inside with her finger. I had to ask a second time for the cake I ordered, lunches were not available but no notice indicating the fact, card payment only but again no notice, only 4 items on the lunch menu when it was available, 2 of which were variations on croque monsieur and another was a fish finger sandwich! It was a wet day and there are 3 narrow, slippery steps up to the door but no handrail for safety. Also the name of the place does not conjure up the fact that it is a cafe. Breakfasts were OK but one was very meagre in size. Needless to say I won't be returning. This place would be a lot better with a bit of thought abd staff training.

We ordered from JJ’s this evening. My son and partner had eaten there before and loved it. I’m vegetarian but they both rate the jerk chicken and rice and peas. I had the steamed vegetables and macaroni cheese and I’m not sure what the special ingredient in either is but they were both the most delicious versions of things I make/eat quite regularly. I could happily eat both every day (I’d best not). To add, there was no delivery driver available so our food was packed off in a taxi which is above and beyond. Absolutely lovely. Highly recommend
