Easily the best restaurant and wine bar in Manchester. Absolutely wonderful hospitality and attention to detail. The whole team are just wonderful and make the place what it is. The perfect service and incredible food make it a place you'll want to come back to. The quality of the food and wine is exceptional and worth every penny. So much passion has gone into this restaurant I genuinely wish for it to have the best success.

Excellent food and wonderful staff. We ordered more than we can eat but everything was super tasty. We had steak tartare, chicken parfait and eggplant for starters , 8 hour slow cooked beef rib and fried chicken for main. They have a great selection of wine.

Looked after 15 of us for a 40th birthday celebration. Owners are lovely, welcoming and warm. The food was delicious and we were kept well watered with lovely wine and cocktails. Food is good value, wine a little more priceythan some other places but good choices on the menu that matched the food well. The deckle steak was the highlight, not had it before and it was absolutely delicious. With such a big group, some of the meals took a little longer to come out but we had such a nice time we didn't really notice too much. I even got the recipe to their kimchi ketchup which was a lovely touch. I would definitely return and want to try the roast next.

The entire experience from walking through the doors was absolutely brilliant. If I lived closer I would be here every day. An exciting and very different selection of wines, all were absolutely excellent. Magdas passion for wine and her understanding of their flavours, the stories of the producers, and the support for small wine producers is really inspiring. Thank you for looking after us!

We have been here a few times now and the food, wine recommendation’s and the team are fantastic. They have all previously worked at the top restaurants in Manchester and it shows in the food and service. Great menu and love the wine shop as we purchased a few bottles to take away. This is definitely my go to place now.

A pleasant surprise at this restaurant after a short walk in the morning at Fletcher Moss Park and the Didsbury Parsonage with friends. The staff and manager are very friendly and professional. We ordered lunches to share and the starters were great. The main course is traditional Sunday roast beef and Yorkshire pudding which is exceptional. However the most popular vegetable dish of mushroom is also fantastic. Their desserts are wonderful with the details in each section!

Well... I saw this venue on Instagram and I followed them. It is EVERY BIT as FANTASTIC as it appears on social media and then some. Obviously those that peruse my posts can see that my partner and I eat out quite often ... With that in mind please heed my words, book here! Soo... I had the chicken liver parfait with nuts berries and a muesli biscuit, it was divine. Myself and my fair lady both had the beef roasts with extra gravy and some lovely creamed horseradish. The beef was immaculate and my better half more so than I is an avid fan of the "pink roast beef" she was very happy. You then get beef short rib and truffle mash in the Yorkshire puddings! We were served by Gavin, lovely chap very polite and extremely knowledgeable sommelier on top. We will be back!

With so many positive reviews already it seems almost unnecessary to add ours, but we had lunch at 4 Of Us today and found every aspect of the experience so thoroughly delightful that we simply must. The winter mushrooms, kale and mojo verde on sourdough toast with poached eggs was absolutely sensational, as was the glass of Gruner Veltliner which accompanied it. Indeed, their exceptionally varied and well thought out wine list will surely have us coming back again and again. I just hope we can get a table because food and wine done this well can't be kept quiet!

I’ve been here twice now, most recently with our 2 yr old toddler. Can’t recommend it highly enough. Delicious food and really authentic Eastern European flavours. Child friendly and very attentive service, with great recommendations. Amazing and quite unique wine selection. Plenty of vegetarian options, all whole foods & fresh. The Tarte Tatin was the tour de force and was a perfect way to end a dinner where which I’d score most dishes 9/10 or 10/10.

Spoke to Magda over the phone who was very friendly and mentioned it was fine to pop in for a light bite and drinks. The restaurant is cosy with candles. The decor is lovely. What is exceptional is the service from Magda. Friendly, polite and genuinely welcoming. This place deserves to do well. The food was amazing, the service top notch and the decor really cosy and relaxing. Keep doing what you are doing and you should thrive. Better service and food than many of the other places nearby. Give this place a try like we did and you won't be disappointed. Thank you for looking after us and making our evening so special.

The restaurant offered delectable cuisine (and fantastic wine); each dish was well prepared with the highest quality ingredients. Would highly recommend. While the food cant be faulted, the ambiance fell short with a lackluster atmosphere in need of decor improvements. Additionally while the service was good, it could have been more attentive particularly given the 12% service charge (for a table of 4) which is somewhat excessive (regardless of the option of it being removed at request). Given the very high cost of the meal (again, the food was exceptional), one would hope for a 5* experience across all aspects of dining. This is a must! A few thoughts for improvement: - Consider what music would be fitting for such an establishment (i.e. not pop music) - Toilets need a refresh, and modernisation (felt like a pub) - Decor needs updating to reflect the high class of the establishment (some of the wallpaper was ripped, and some of the decor looked outdated) - Consider a reduced service charge, and ensure enough staff on hand

My Fiancée and I went for our engagement celebration and was not disappointed. Magdalena and her front of house team were attentive and informative on the menu when we were trying to decide. We started with the olives and house pickles; this is when we're were told that the menu is heavily influenced with Polish cuisine (the pickled cauliflower and mushrooms were amazing!). To start, we had the eel tartare, short rib nuggets and grilled watermelon. The watermelon was really special and unique in all the right ways. We then choose off the 'butchers specials' menu on the wall: 350g Deckle the 350g whole squid with 2 sides. Both were on the a la carte but It was great that additional sizes were available since we were sharing. The chefs absolutely smashed it as both were perfect and not chewy, which is so hard with squid ä. We asked for a recommendation for wine and got an amazing slovak (!!) wine. Honestly made the meal as it was so unique and added to the Central European flair. Finished with a affogato to share. So happy with this experience, it made a special occasion even more special so we will be coming again.

If you're here for the punchline-; I can't recommend this restaurant highly enough. We've had the pleasure of dining there twice in the past two months and on both occasions it has been an utter delight. You can tell the dishes are cooked from the heart and made with love- creative, delicious and perfectly balanced. A good selection of wine is made more fantastic by the excellent advice on hand from the staff in terms of pairing with your dishes. Superb food...great wine... but both could be let down by poor service... but not here. I would give a special mention to the FOH staff who clearly have a real passion and care that each and every customer has a wonderful experience at 4 Of Us. We certainly did.

4 of Us is an amazing restaurant, staffed by lovely people who really care for the food they provide and the dining experience that guests share in. Fantastic food, fit to bursting with flavour, I really look forward to returning again and again to see how the menu evolves. The best dining experience in Didsbury by a country mile. Revisited 5 months later, and it still sits as THE dining experience in Didsbury. you have to go here. Come for the Mescal Margaritas, stay for the fun atmosphere, fine dining, and finer company.

On a miserable wet afternoon, Magdalena and the team at Four Of Us made me very cheerful. The anchovy nibbles, the roast beef and the mulled wine were all first rate. I don't normally hand out 5 star reviews so 4s all round from me. From a personal point of view dogs in restaurants are a negative but I understand that they are really only supposed to be in the very inviting bar area here. Definitely worth visiting. At the upper end of the scale price wise.

I loved the whole experience! We came for dinner last night and shared one of the deckles recommended by the staff. Never had one before but will definitely be coming back for more it was so delicious! My mum had a chicken which was way better than we could’ve thought and so tasty. One of the owners even came down at one point to chat with us and talked us through the menu. Such a lovely hidden gem in Didsbury and will definitely be bringing the whole family next week.

Food and service were excellent. I had the best steak for years. All the menu choices are very understated but when they arrive they are just amazing. Beautifully presented and the quality is second to none. It's quite pricey but as a special treat it's worth it. Hope the word spreads on this place!

There was a party of 8 of us all together. We came in on Sunday afternoon and had a great time. Service was spot on and the food was incredible. We all went for a mixture of starters and either the roast beef or chicken for main. The Yorkshire puddings were probably the best I’ve ever had and the gravy was absolutely delicious - we were also given as much as we wanted. Nothing was too much trouble. Top notch place - will definitely be back!

We visited the various, very decent, restaurants at this venue over the past 35 years. This incarnation is without doubt the best. We booked dinner for Sunday evening. The quality of every aspect of the meal was fabulous. Highlights included anchovy cracker nibbles to start and Yorkshire puddings filled with short ribs to accompany the roast dinner. I'm not sure I've seen Polish wine on a menu before. The staff were friendly and attentive without being overbearing. We'll be returning with friends and family in tow. Highly recommended.

We went there once and the ambience, food, staff was so good that we decided to go back again. Our second visit was even better….. What I loved it about the place was how well they all remembered us and how big welcome back we got it… . Food is top notch. Even if You try , you just cannot fault chefs…. Service was fantastic!! We were welcomed by Joanna and Magdalena and both girls couldnt do enough for us. Cocktails were sooo yummy…. Think Barman was called Matt and he is a big credit to that place. Same as Hollie who always smiled when we needed smth. Nothing was a problem. I wish Ye all success and cannot wait to come back there In few months again.

Delicious Sunday roast. The gravy and the vegetables were particularly good. The beef was cooked perfectly too. It was on the more expensive side but in my opinion worth the extra few quid.

A lovely meal of fine cuisine. We chose starters - Bream & smoked eel tartare and the Shiitake mushrooms. Both were excellent. Our mains were the cod, the squid from the specials board and the rib fillet of beef. Just like the starters, these were cooked and served beautifully. With a really friendly front of house staff with a sincere desire to please, we would recommend this new restaurant as one to certainly try.

Came here for my boyfriend’s 40th. Joanna was very helpful and accommodating with the booking. We pre-ordered food as there was a big group of us. It all came very efficiently. It is probably the best Sunday roast I’ve had. The steak tartare was amazing. Everyone in our party agreed that the food was delicious, other people had the smoked rib and steak. Brought my partner here for his birthday after seeing the reviews online. I can say this was one of the best meals and service I have had for a very long time. We shared a sharing board and a large cut of steak. The deckle steak I would say was the best I have ever had. Holly our server was amazing! So attentive and really looked after us. They even gave my partner a hand written birthday card and a free tasty panna cotta shot to finish the meal with. I don't mind menus being a bit pricey when the service and quality of food is this high. Especially when considering they are an independent business. The pictures don't do the presentation justice. Can't wait to bring family here to show them the gem we have discovered. Thank you !

If you're looking for outstanding beef and wine, come and witness the mark of experts. Ordered the short rib, rib steak, sirloin roast - I wanted to test all the different cooking methods, and I was not disappointed. Short rib: popped off the bone, bark on the outside, melted in the middle - these guys know how to smoke meat. Rib steak: tricky to get it medium rare and cooked through, but the temperature was spot on, and it had been adequately rested - a true understanding of fire and timing. Sirloin roast: stunning colour, beautifully rendered fat, carefully prepared trimmings, and the gravy was TREACLE. Safe to say the food was an absolute triumph. You can choose sauces for the steaks, but when the quality is that high and the temperature is perfect, you really don't need any sauces. The sides are cleverly put together, offering a little sharpness and kick to cleanse the palate. The wine list offers an esoteric journey away from the (sometimes predictable) classics, complementing the dishes flawlessly - English sparkling, Polish medium-bodied, Georgian oaked saperavi, and a delightful sweet Solaris saw us through our meal, with expert advice on the wines on offer. This isn't just the best meal I've had this year, but the most wonderful dining experience I've had for a long time, and I strongly recommend you book a table straight away - absolutely stunning.

We had a Sunday Roast yesterday at the 4 of us. It was the best Sunday dinner I’ve ever had. The flavour was amazing. It’s a bit more expensive that other places, but it’s as it should be, for the quality of the produce and meal was top class.

We went there last night. Holly our server was sweet and nice. Magdanela was very attentive, visited every single table and gave a useful advice on wine selections. We have a polish wine for the first time and it was actually pretty good. Food is very tasty. Not a big menu which I like, we had baba ganoush, the texture was smoother than usual however I enjoyed it! Short rib is amazing, fell off the bone and delicious. We ordered medium rare deckle which cooked in perfection. It’s definitely worth it a visit. I’d like the fact that Magda says: quality is more important to them that quantity

Had an amazing roast here - the food, wine service and design of the place is top notch. I can only expect word will soon spread & there’ll be a queue round the block - so definitely get in whilst you can 😅. Looking forward to heading back to try more of the menu!

Came in for lunch we had a mix up with the table probably down to my dad. They were fully booked and still managed to give us a table. It was the best roast I've had in a long time, everything was well thought out and perfect. Absolutely loved the energy of everyone there, everyone involved couldn't have been more attentive and really made you feel welcome. Could not fault above and beyond could not recommend higher. Smiles all around will be back soon

Great food. The menu is a bit different, but all the food was really delicous. The chicken and the smoked rib are seriously large portions of good food - don't each too much as a starter course!

One of the the best meals we've had. Food was sensational and you can see the care and passion the owners are putting in to every aspect of the restaurant. It might be new but it's one of our favourites now, can't wait to go again!

Impromptu dinner plans with a friend and furry friend and we were not disappointed. We were made to feel so welcome from the moment we entered the door. A lovely mixture of small and larger plates, ideal for sharing. We chose the sharing board, generous in portion and delicious variety. Food was only a 4 star since the steak and chips were reeeealy salty. However, I could tell that the quality of food was very good under the salt. It’s also a very simple mistake to make, especially for a new restaurant finding it’s feet. The issue was also dealt with in a really lovely and classy way after they asked for feedback. The service was amazing, wine absolutely fantastic and food was suuuuuuuuuper tasty (bar the one dish that was far too salty). I would 100% recommend and this will become a regular for us. I’m excited to try the steak again.

Very overpriced… feels like a restaurant that is desperately trying to come across as high end to justify the prices. I wasn’t expecting to receive KFC fried chicken at a restaurant this expensive.

Loved our meal here. The manager was an amazing help with the menu explaining what was plant based. She was welcoming and chatty. Food was lovely and the wine was delicious. The waiting staff can learn and lot from her energy. The online menu didn’t match the menu in house but the missing items were available.

Came here to try out the Sunday lunch and it was amazing. The beef was cooked to perfection, the chicken was soft and juicy and the yorkies had truffle mash and short rib in them which was a very welcome addition. The starters were also delicious, the teriyaki watermelon was a taste sensation and such an unusual way to use watermelon. If you are a lover of wine then Magda will recommend the most perfect wines to match to your food, the wine she recommended was so good I had to buy a bottle to take home! Great service and knowledgeable friendly staff, I’ll definitely be back.

I went with my family and we all throughly enjoyed our meal - it surpassed our expectations. On top of that the staff were super friendly and very knowledgeable about the menu, it made it an even better experience. The ambiance and cutlery, crockery etc were a plus too! I highly recommend pretty much everything we ordered. I would say the best desert was the tarte tartin!

After seeing the craze on instagram a family meal was organised in hopes to try the short rib. Upon arrival, the lady did her best to be hospitable, but she seemed a little out of her comfort zone. The menu was very simple and bland “sunday menu” basically a beef or chicken sunday dinner, or a steak. It had taken over 45 minutes to receive our food from ordering, it wasnt busy (2pm) there were 3 tables total taken, when the food arrived, to receive a bland steak on its own in the middle of the plate, being described by the staff as a “boxing glove” was literally a punch in the face. £35 for the steak……. Im all for fine dining, but see photo and that should explain all. I do not recommend.

Went for wife's birthday and found the menu to be a bit lacking in direction (not sure if it was a traditional starter/main or more mezze?), she ended up ordering off the small plates menu as couldn't find anything she wanted from he large plates and to be fair all were nice although the deviled feta was a bit too spicy for her. I ordered the mackerel which was a bit of a disappointment. I had the Cod as a main which was a really nice piece of fish well cooked but let down by a split sauce. The staff were really nice and obviously very enthusiastic. The owner didn't charge us for the mackerel (despite me asking her not to knock it off the bill). The wine choice was different to the usual and we ended up with a nice Italian white. Could do with a bit more choice on the large plates and maybe have a vegetable options on the sides apart from salad?

food is really good, especially the smoked rib which has a different spice rub than the usual too sweet bbq. however, it’s quite overpriced, £27 for a portion of rib would be ok but it does not include side or sauce which you need to add for another 2 x £4. And I really dislike this trend of slapping default 10% service charge to the bill.. its always the overpriced restaurants that are doing this.

We came here for part of our tenth wedding anniversary celebrations and we are so glad we did. The team has a formidable pedigree in the hospitality industry and all that experience has been poured into this gem of a place. The staff are not just friendly but passionate about what they do and the food they create. It was all unique and delicious, so much so that we were deciding what we were going to have the next time we visited, which will be soon. It's dog friendly as well so we'll bring our Bernese MD Oscar with us (I am banned from talking about the Deckle in front of him in case he starts getting ideas). If you're thinking of going to 4 of Us, go now, before everyone else discovers it - it is going to take off. Food is exceptional, service is great, very friendly owners and staff. The wine list is really interesting and clearly carefully chosen for quality. These people are obviously very passionate about food and drink and it shows - what a great addition to the neighbourhood!

This building has been a few things over the years with varying degrees of success but this time it's really hit the jackpot with these guys. Amazing, original, super imaginative, not too fussy food that's totally delicious. Really interesting beers and wines too and lovely friendly knowledgable staff. And they have a charcoal grill! That sealed the deal for me. Dare I say it, this place is like a little slice of Hawksmoor but in Didsbury and with a more varied menu. And.. dare I say it, better... There, I said it!

First time going to “4 of us” and I couldn’t recommend enough! I’m local in didsbury and along with “No4. Wine&Dine” it’s definitely the best food and service in the village! Wouldn’t expect this to be a thing, small things like topping you up on your wine/water makes all the difference. Started off with steak tartar - lovely, light and fresh. Then went for the fried half chicken which with green slaw which I’d love to have again! First though, I’m returning to try one of their steaks.Dessert, we had tarte tatin which was impeccable! We also had the Staff and management are as good as the food, if not better! Always bubbly and always friendly and informative with the drinks and food! Can’t wait to return and try more of the menu!

I had an amazing dining experience at "4 of us" on July 16, 2023. The service was outstanding, and the staff was attentive and knowledgeable. The Aubergine crackers were a delicious starter, and the Veal schnitzel and smoked short rib were exceptional main courses. The Ribeye steak was cooked to perfection. "4 of us" truly impressed me with their exceptional service and delectable food. I highly recommend it for a memorable dining experience.

Been twice in 2 weeks. Great wine, great food, great cocktails, great staff - staff recognisable from some highly reputable places in town - they know exactly what they are doing!
