Dropped into 2nd Avenue Café today while waiting for my car to be fixed nearby, and I’m so glad I did! The staff were incredibly friendly, and the café had a warm, welcoming vibe that made it feel like a real community cafe. I went for the all-day breakfast, and it was just what I needed—really tasty and filling. The cappuccino was spot on too. I couldn’t leave without grabbing a rocky road for 'the road', and it was delicious! If you’re ever in the area, I’d recommend stopping by.

My favourite cafe when I’m in Lisburn! The staff are so friendly and nothing is too much trouble! Not to mention the delicious traybakes on offer and cosy decor!

Called here yesterday for a late lunch. We received a friendly welcome from the staff. It is a cheerful, comfortable, clean cafe tucked away in a side street. The girl who took our order was very accommodating in my dietary requirements. We enjoyed our chicken paninis followed by delicious scones and coffee. All the staff were so friendly. It's our go to place for lunch in Lisburn.

Visited this morning for breakfast with my wife. Had vegan breakfasts with tea and coffee. Breakfast was delicious and served with dairy free butter and oat milk in our drinks. We were able to sit outside and the waitress was really polite and efficient. Covid safety precautions were the best we've seen. We will definitely be back.

2nd Avenue is a lovely bright modern cafe with a choice of comfortable seating. The staff are friendly and helpful. They had a special of 3 mini tray bakes and coffee which was great for the tastebuds not so good for the waistline! The coffee was very good, the carmel square was perfect. The carmel was soft but thick enough to hold its texture and full of buttery sweetness; the base was crumbly in the mouth but not falling apart and there was just the right thickness of chocolate. The cranberry and pistachio finger was not something I would have normally chosen but when you're getting three...it was an absolute delight of sweet indulgence. The Malteser square was very nice too. Highly recommend!

I visited here last Friday as my nephew works there. It is a lovely modern coffee shop, bright and airy and was full of people when I was there. The staff were lovely, there was a great selection of eats and whilst I only had a scone, lots of people seemed to be eating very tasty looking lunches. My coffee was really good and I will definitely call here again, highly recommended.

2nd Avenue is run by a local charity Stepping Stones and they have opened this new cafe as their work develops. Warm and welcoming with good coffee and food. Had heart shaped shortbread on St. Valentine’s Day

Been several times and feel somewhat indifferent overall. Probably wouldn't have gone for our most recent visit only we had a voucher gifted to us that needed to be used. This was after my wife was served a dish with nuts despite requesting their removal a few years back - got offered something free at time but just can' t recall exactly what. Food is ok overall, but lack of competition in Lisburn centre probably leads to an overinflated price, complacency and they have a tendency to oversalt some dishes (we both had steaks which had a rosemary salt that left us with 'burning mouths' on one visit). Better value and menus are available in Belfast just 10 minutes away on the train. Yes, I would eat here again, but I would be really careful about what I would order and it would definitely not be a 'must visit' location.

Closed without warning. Reserved a table online for father's day and received a confirmation email. Arrive to find the place closed with no sign, no explanation, and no attempt made to contact me. Now having to find a last minute table on a very busy Sunday.

Rare find, a seriously good chippy in Northern Ireland which fries using vegetable oil.... The chips are a real treat!
