Servers were rude, refused to apologise when we found metal from a Galvanised Scourer in our meal as it wasn’t their fault it was the Chefs, when asked to speak to the chef he couldn’t be bothered to come out the kitchen. Limited Children’s Sunday Roast options, not flexible in adding Yorkshire puddings to a chicken dish etc.

Popped in for breakfast after staying overnight in Marlborough at a different Inn. The food was delicious and very good price. £1.50 for a mug of tea! My husband and I had the children's breakfast which was very generous as usually full adults meals are too much. Lovely staff , very friendly and a very nice atmosphere with Christmas music playing in the background. All in all an extremely pleasant way to start the weekend. I would definitely go there again . Highly recommended.

We visited with family from France with dog who were looking forward to visiting for coffee and a light snack for lunch,we arrived on a dry bright Sunday lunch, although relatively busy, there were several tables empty, albeit full of dirty leftovers, when we pointed this out to the lovely girl behind d counter she promptly cleared table and wiped, from this point expectations fell away quickly, there was absolutely nothing to eat except carrot cake or muffins fresh or pre packed biscuits and flapjack ! We mentioned this to the counter staff who just said sorry were short staffed and low on food, there were 8 members of staff behind the counter ! Oh well, we ordered coffee which hit the spot first round fine, second round incorrect, then members of our party wished to visit the loo before leaving, a queue of several people waiting constantly to use 1 toilet that was disgustingly dirty from top to bottom ! All in all a poor experience of what some 18 months ago was a lovely place to visit, maybe it was just an Off day, but to have that many staff not doing a lot or cared a lot, not sure I would be in a hurry to revisit

Having visited this tea rooms before, we were surprised to see how quiet it was during our visit. Possibly it was due to the temperature of the room, which was distinctly chilly and the radiators were off, or due to the price of the food and drink - extortionate! A cappuccino was £1 more here than other local cafes. We will not be returning

We popped in here for a snack on Saturday, mostly as it was the first cafe we passed with indoor seating! There was a decent menu for light lunches and snacks which suited us fine. Service, both at the till and clearing the tables, was lovely - nicely spoken, polite and efficient. The sausage baps were lovely, nice tang with the brioche bun and my granddaughter demolished the entire chocolate brownie with none left for me so I guess that's a recommendation too! Nice inside with plenty of space between tables and tasteful decor. A pleasant visit.
