I spoke to the owners via Facebook messenger to arrange a visit initially for 4 people. I told him I had a wowcher deal voucher and he asked me for the codes .which I gave him over messenger. The next day I added another wowcher deal so that two more friends could join and confirmed with the owner . But on the morning of the visit two of my party were poorly and unable to come .I messaged them at 8 am advising them that the last wowcher wouldn't be needed and apologised . When we arrived, we were seated at what can only be described as an unstable formica card table. We were right next to the door on a cold damp September day, so we shut the door. But that only made the 'cafe' steam up and enclose the smell of well done bacon and sausages. If we were popping in for a quick bite to eat like a bacon butty or a cake thats fine but it really isn't the environment for an afternoon tea. The afternoon tea eventually came on missmatching cake stands and our cuppa came in a cup , no saucer . There wasn't enough room on our table to place both plate stands so one couple had to balance theirs on a babies high chair that was near our table . The finger sandwiches consisted of Ham and Mustard and cheese and pickle .OK but not much variety .we got half a standard sausage roll each . Mine was cold but my friends was warm ,home made jam tarts that looked like a child had made . Chocolate brownie pieces, home made flapjacks ( more seeds than anything else ) a plain scone each, a tiny pot of butter, jam and clotted cream . Not enough cream for 4 people and lastly a slice of fruit cake. We made the best of the situation and my friends company outweighed everything else . The young girl was friendly enough and made sure we had a supply of tea and coffee .included in the wowcher deal was a glass of ginand mixer but we had to ask for it and I'm sure we wouldn't of received them if I hadn't asked .on a final note , when I came to redeem my third unused wowcher I was unable to because it had already been cashed in . I have messaged the owner to clear up this matter but as yet not heard back but early days . We travelled from the other side of Manchester to have this afternoon tea but unfortunately won't be returning

The muffin cake, especially the blueberry one, is really special in this place. Of course, the only thing I can say about the coffee is that they are masters of coffee in this specialty.

So poor, overpriced. Really rude staff, young brunette was rude to us. £15 for a chicken sandwich too that was incredibly greasy. Avoid.

Went for a Sunday roast, left happy, full and relaxed. Food: great, thoroughly enjoyed. We loved the pork belly as a starter. Roast was great (and I'm very fussy with my roasts) chicken cooked well and still moist, trimmings bountiful and delicious (no limp carrots and over boiled green here) creamed leek was a good addition to the plate. Flavourful gravy with good consistency. Toasties with a crunchy, not steamed to death waiting in the kitchen. Service: the co-owner who served was incredibly warm, accomodating and friendly, even though she was rushed off her feet she still had time to chat with us. Drinks and the food arrived very quickly. A real credit to her business! Thanks! Atmosphere: friendly, cosy and warm. Lucky enough to grab a seat with comfy chairs next to the wood fire. Highly recommend for your next Sunday dinner. £50ish for 1 starter, 2 roasts and 4 drinks, I've had far worse for far higher prices.

Venue is on two floors , The ground floor is where you will find the most expensive club bar I have ever visited and the first floor area is far too small.
