The best restaurants serving Italian food in Scotland

Looks nice inside with clean modern interior and staff were very helpful and friendly. We ordered kids meals and a pie and chips with mushy peas. £36 including a cheeky service charge and £2.80 for a ‘fake’ ‘Fruit Shoot’ which is incredibly expensive. The kids fish and chips wasn’t great, I’ve had better chips. The fish was mostly batter with very little fish inside which was disappointing. The pie and chips wasn’t great either and the plates are very small but the portions aren’t that big. Makes it difficult to eat with the food on a small plate. Two kids meals including a ‘fake Fruit Shoot’ and a pie and chips with mushy peas and curry sauce and can of Coke, £36!!!! Very overpriced IMO. I expected a much better quality chippy so the food and the prices were really disappointing and the service charge was a liberty which I asked to be removed. Next time I’m in Edinburgh I’ll be trying the more traditional Scottish chippy at much more reasonable prices. Staff were very friendly but I think the prices are too steep for what it is and for what you get, definitely the £2.80 for a cheap kids drink and the small plates and portion for adult meals. I won’t be revisiting I’m afraid but I hope the establishment takes all feedback as positive feedback to help make improvements.

Stopped and ordered two coffees and two pastries plus 2 glasses of water. The coffee came in a reasonable time and pastries 5 minutes later, the water never came. The coffee was hot and OK. The pastries we were told were “fresh from the kitchen” were an odd texture and did not taste too fresh. When I paid quoting the table number they got the wrong order. The building looked very smart but I was disappointed with the food and service so would not recommend this place
