On the early afternoon of Sunday the 8 September 2024, I went to The Classic Greek restaurant, at 1366 High Rd, Whetstone, London N20 9HJ. As I walked into the empty restaurant, and unknown to me, the staff were sitting out side enjoying the sun. It was over minute before any of them came to take my order. I ordered a Lamb Giros £7.20p. The assistant gave a small portion of chips to sample, while my order was being prepared. The chips were very nice but a bit salty. The assistant took some chips for my meal from the same pot as the sample ones they gave me, and puts them in a fryer, but unnecessary ads more salt to the chips, and starts to grill seven small Cubes of Lamb. When the Lamb Cubes were ready, the assistant gets a thick round type of wrap and covers it in Tzatziki, ads the seven small Cubes of Lamb, Green Leave,Tomato and Onions. I requested that the assistant put some salt over my Salad & Lamb Cubes. It beggars believe what the assistant did next. They took my wrap, and instead of putting salt over my Salad and Cubes of Lamb, the assistant puts the chips all over every thing and then drowns the already over salted chips in salt. I asked the assistant have they got any lemon juice, I’m told only a slice lemon and I assumed the assistant were going to put the slice of lemon in my wrapped up meal. I get to my car and start to eat my Greek meal. There no slice of lemon in the food wrapping. The chips were so salty, they were unpleasant to eat. There was no salt on the lamb and the salad. Five piece of the lamb cubs were uneatable, as they were grisly and rubbery! I through them out for the birds. All in All, this was the worst Greek meal I have ever eaten! I'm afraid this is the classic case of, The Classic Greek restaurant, that will be going out of business sooner than later!
