I live local but had not been to Georgias Kitchen (The Swan). My sister visited so great excuse to go. We had breakfast and it was so good. Hot, fresh food and a very generous size, we both struggled to finish. Georgias Kitchen is spotless really nice restaurant, very welcoming atmosphere. This is my place to go when I get visitors. Beside breakfast Georgias Kitchen do lunch, dinners, Sunday roasts. I have heard great things about the Thai night on Fridays. For people who like a drink the pub side looks friendly there is entertainment most Sundays. Visitors to Kent should make a note to visit Wittersham and have a drink and a meal. You will not be disappointed.

We were fortunate to have been given a gift voucher for this charming venue. We booked for afternoon tea and the place was full. Friendly and welcoming staff serving various sandwiches, savouries, scones, cake and delicious macarons. The tea room was beautifully decorated with china everywhere and as Halloween was almost on us, decorations on that theme were apparent. I’d love to visit again at a different time of year for lunch.

Disdainful and oppressive staff one minute say they have a table, next minute you’ll have to sit outside when there were numerous empty tables despite having building work done. Spent hundreds of pounds at The Ferry Inn over the years and recommended it to many but not anymore. The male staff member behind the bar was as miserable as sin as if he didn’t want to be working and even the girl behind the bar was poker faced. Never known it to be so unwelcoming at The Ferry Inn. My partner is disabled and for him to sit outside with the temperature gradually dropping for the day would have caused him a lot of pain and discomfort, but the male staff’s body language was tough luck. At least put someone in charge with a bit of customer service and charisma if you want return business and don’t want to drive customers away

Top quality Sunday lunch with excellent meat cuts, a nice and interesting range of vegetables, and all at a very reasonable price. Highly recommended.
