We had such a lovely time here over Christmas, it definitely had a Christmas vibe. We had some great starters (home made soup and salmon with prawns) then the Christmas turkey and ham with vegetables, mashed potatoes and roast potatoes) everything was delicious and freshly made. It was probably our best Christmas experience on this trip home which says alot because we had lots of family lunches and dinners out in the area. There is lots of parking and easy access to the restaurant.

Our friends suggested we go here last week and couldn't say enough good things about our night there. Great staff, very helpful and friendly. Food was amazing, we had their steaks with garlic chips, mushrooms, onion rings and pepper sauce and also their pie of the night with mash. Everything was delicious. Good wines to choose from also. Had the best night when local musicians came in and played traditional music in the bar. We can't wait to go back.

Absolutely love this restaurant. Staff are amazing...very friendly and professional and honestly couldnt do enough for you. Service is prompt and food is always very hot and tasty.. The menu is excellent and very good value for money. The desserts are delicious. Highly recommend this wee gold mine in Scarva. We have been going there for years and wouldn't dream of going anywhere else. Also an amazing venue to hold an intimate wedding. Definitely well worth a visit.

Got a craving for their Cantonese hot ribs. So drove out of my way to get them. Portion is big enough to act as main meal. The beef ribs came with a hot Cantonese sauce with peppers and onions. Plenty of sauce. Have to be best around and the friendly lady owner always smiles and asks about my dog. I think they were £6.50 at today's increasing prices, but well worth it. YUM. YUM.

It was pouring rain on a Monday morning when we arrived here In Poyntzpass on a recommendation. We didn’t know this independent place existed. This is a small village about 8 miles from Newry and this cafe is almost adjacent to the old canal towpath, which is part of the Ulster Way so hikers, bikers and walkers are a mainstay of their business. Like many places they currently offer the current government eat out to help out deal that ends at the end of August 2020. It’s about the only popular thing this lousy government has done in its first year in power. So we sat in and it was really cosy and homely. We were captivated by the sophisticated and shiny coffee machine - apparently it was only installed yesterday. The owner explained the inner workings of this contraption and I was impressed with the technology behind our coffee. We ordered large cappuccinos, one toasted chicken & pineapple toastie with side salad and one poached eggs (2) with avocado mash on sourdough with chilli flakes. All in all £8.5 for two. The service was ace and it’s really worth a visit or several.
