Zuzu really has gone to the dogs! When it opened the food was fresh every time and delicious. Now it is terrible. The chicken is rubbery, almost elastic, and was a bit pink. The pork in oyster sauce was inedible. Such as shame as this place used to be the best in Carrickfergus. Numerous times the order was wrong or incomplete. When you ring them, the staff don't give a toss. We won't be back. Terrible food.

Half of our order was missing and then I phoned and the told me that I didn’t order it when I 100% did so now I have paid for stuff that I didn’t get NOT GOOD ENOUGH

Used to go there once a fortnight. Last time I went I got a mini munchi box, and was disgusted. The salty chilli chicken bits were inedible, stringy, elastic bits of a chicken that had seen better days. When pulled it apart could easily see bits of white stringy tendons. Was like eating rubber.

Now it is not a fancy diner but rough and ready and nice. Tables and low bench type seats which I struggled to get up because of my bad knees. I ordered ichiban beef with fried rice. I remembered I had this before. Beef is coated in flour and fried crispy. Like a sweet and sour with possibly tamarind sauce which makes it sweet and spicy lovely sauce. Green pepper, onion, pineapple bulked it up. Nice beef. Fried rice light and OK. £12.50 is just a smidgeon expensive. You order and pay at counter first off then girl brings it down to you. Plates not warmed. Girls pleasant enough but only doing enough. No great interest and never asked if I was ok. They kept running in and out to toilet. Never the less I enjoy their food and it is clean and busy. I can recommend it for a no frills sit on meal. Clean and busy.

Ordered a Chinese at 6.10 and rang at 7.10 to see where it was and was told my address had been blocked for delivery because one night we waited well over an hour on our delivery and it hadn’t even left so we cancelled it because it hadn’t even left the shop and they weren’t sure on how long it was going to be and we didn’t want to eat cold Chinese and this wasn’t even busy time it was 9pm place has went to the dogs from change of owners and staff. Asked for a manger to explain why we weren’t told our address had been blocked when we rang and was told there was no manger on to speak to me this was a Saturday night and no head of staff on.

Have used Zuzu since it opened and usually very pleased, However recently I feel. their standards have dropped. Usually I get the buffet box but recently the chicken and beef are so tough they are just not enjoyable. Portion size seems to depend on who is serving you as last time there was more sauce than meat in the dish. A lot of negative reviews so please get back to the standards you had when first opened. Another point is why they cannot take card payments as very few places nowadays do not accept card payment.

I’ve been a customer for years and always happy but recently the food has been consistently cold and chips horrible and undercooked. I’ve also had some worrying issues after using my card on the website.

Couldn’t of had better customer service! The lovely girl on the phone was so polite and helpful. She took time to recommended dishes for me and my husband and advise me on the ingredients in the different foods. Order came spot on and was lovely. Unfortunately can’t remember her name so ‘don’t know’. As for fussy eaters, cook chicken nuggets— they’re cheap in Tesco’s and will save you the hassle x

Placed an online order for buffet boxes for the family and a portion of noodles with no veg separately. Each box was wrong! After choosing plain chips from the scroll menu online every box came with garlic chips and added extras that were not ordered. Noodles came with veg. It all went in the bin as it was cold and not what we ordered with fussy eaters in the house. Rang up to try and get it sorted and they service on the phone was disgusting. The girl I spoke too called ‘don’t know’ (her words when I asked for her name) was so rude and obnoxious. I asked to speak to the manager and was told they didn’t have one and the chef said he will replace noodles but not buffet boxes so I asked to speak to him. Was then told no he doesn’t speak English 🤯. Was then told to ring on Monday to speak to ‘the older girl’ that works here. Safe to say I will be ringing on Monday but I will never place another order with that restaurant again. Oh and I then asked ‘don’t know’ was she for real after she had riled my temper to be told by her “yeah I actually am” and she hung up!

Food cold, chips disgusting, order incorrect, even after asking her to repeat order back! Lost a regular customer! Why pay £40 for food you can’t eat.

Ordered on-line Friday 1 October around 5.30pm. Paid by card. Guess what? My card used at 11.30pm the following day in an arrempted fraudulent transaction which was declined owing to 2 factor authentication. Seems they use : Ordering Direct, F59 Expressway Studios, 1 Dock Road, London, E16 1AH. Between ordering the food and the attempted fraud I did not use my card any where else. I've instructed the card provider to prosecute the individual to the maximum extent of the law. Three visits to Zuzu to alert the restaurant proved worthless as management were not available on any occasion. Incidentally, while cards are taken on line it's cash only at the door!!!

My most recent experience was, sadly, awful, with a delivery not arriving until hours late, terrible service on the phone, and being spoken to by a manager in a dismissive fashion. Food when it arrived had obviously been sitting, and was not nice at all. Suffice to say, having used Zuzu since it opened, we will not be back.

Absolutely disgraceful customer service. Never been spoken to on the phone like that by anyone in my life. Staff and the owner shouted at me down the phone and spoke to me like I was trash when I asked to have an incorrect order sorted out. Completely disgusting and appalling, do not visit or give these people your money.

Horrific customer service when THEY got the order wrong. I paid and never did get what I actually ordered. Find another Chinese takeaway, there are plenty offering the same thing.

Been here a few times now and the food is good. I would recommend trying to get one of the buffet boxes and using it as it would work out cheaper. You can sit in or take away and most of the staff are lovely.
