This is a very special little gem of a place like nowhere else I know! The tapas is full of flavour (you need about 4 dishes for a meal), drinks selection is good and atmosphere, well just different, with its dim lighting and quirky seating. Even the service is a bit haphazard but somehow wonderful! If you’re looking for somewhere different to go then this is it...

Quirky & cozy feel to the place, felt very comfortable. Friendly staff who were more than happy to help with menu advice, drinks came promptly and were delish with a great selection. Visited on a Saturday evening with family (adults). Wasn’t sure what to expect as many mixed reviews on here but thought we’d give it a try. So glad we did. The decor is quite unusual/eclectic/flamboyant with random pictures and posters adorning the walls. Lots of chintzy soft furnishings add to the quirky feel. We sat upstairs in one half of the room which felt like we were dining in someone’s home. Great selection of tapas with some suggestions from the host. My personal favourites were the Delyn roast potatoes, the goats cheese and the potato tortilla but all were delicious. Reasonably priced, lots of staff. My one and only disappointment- no desserts🥹 Will def return.

Lovely wine tapas bar with a good vibe. It does serve food but you don't have to eat... It's also great for hanging out drinking and chatting. Serves a Good selection of beer (a good choice of Belgium beers.) Nice lighting and really good music.. Jazz, ambient, afro beat..hosts some events. Small snug sheltered outside area and an upstairs. One of the best places in the UK to find imported beer, and don't get me started on the food, absolutely stunning.

The title of my review says it all. From the moment we set foot in the place we felt at home. It seems to attract a friendly crowd of regulars. The bar has subdued lighting decorated with music and movie posters all over the walls. The friendly owner wanders around greeting everyone and checking they are having a good time. The service is as prompt as possible in a busy establishment such as this, and the bar staff were all friendly and helpful. I had a couple of craft beers and a Guinness, all very good. They let me sample them before I ordered, another plus when trying an unfamiliar brew. At the back there is a comfy smoking area, more a smoking room, which comfortably seats about ten to twelve people. We met some interesting characters in there and shared a few jokes and fine cigars. I will definitely be back again when I next visit Mold.

We happened accross this funky little wine and tapas bar by chance on a random night in mold. We where late night walk ins and the owners where welcoming and helpful, guiding us through the menu. The food was tasty! This place has quite the vibe and made for a memorable evening. It’s worth mentioning the eclectic range of drinks on offer.

My girlfriend and I came here just before the first lockdown on our second date and absolutely loved it. It’s taken until now to come back due to various issues, but it was so worth the wait! The Patatas Y Delyn are amazing, but the goats cheese ok ciabatta is to die for. The staff are super friendly and welcoming. There a great choice of wines and beers. Can’t recommend it enough

A lovely Tapas bar. The staff are chilled and friendly, and the food was delicious. It's great to see the old Theatr Clwyd show posters on the walls too. A great place for a small group or couple to chill out after work as it's very small inside. Cash only though.

Terrible service. Ding meals, no flavour/overdone for the most part. Aggressive owner for no reason, hopes to be woke/free thinker, l but is actually looking to impose her warped "wisdom" and/or to argue for the most part even if you don't want to partake (I mean who goes for food/drinks to argue). Can't be wrong, even when she is, you don't have to come across strongly or disagree to get a counter arguement regardless of the topic or the lack there of (which it was with me personally). Gave me the incorrect change and it didn't seem like a mistake when I mentioned it. Forgot 3 out of 9 "servings". Very disorganised. Crappy laminated menu. 11 out of the 14 beers on tap weren't available. Wine bar that didn't ask if I wanted wine (god send in the end as it would probably be corked) Customer is always wrong attitude. Cold throughout, toilets were filthy. Not unlike the owner doesn't really know what it wants to be (mixed theme/layout decor) Avoid. Would give 0/5 if possible.

What a fabulous little gem of an eatery this is!! My daughters and baby grandson surprised me with dinner here for my birthday and I was thoroughly spoiled..... From the moment we arrived, the FOH staff were so friendly and attentive..nothing was too much trouble....we had beautiful strawberry fizz cocktails whilst looking at the menu and what an extremely difficult decision it was!! We weren't rushed to order....so it was with great anticipation we awaited the arrival of Dukka,Lebanese meatballs, Morrocan meatballs, chorizo in red wine ,patatas y Delyn, Catalan chicken, garlic mushrooms, baked feta and garlic bread ...wow wow wow!!! What a feast..beautifully presented in very pretty individual dishes...every dish was hot, freshly prepared and cooked to perfection...every mouthful was a delight....every dish empty when we had finished!! Definitely will not be the last time we eat here....lovely ambience and background music..wonderful service....excellent quality food very reasonably priced ...great value for money Thank you for making us so welcome (especially my baby grandson!)and my birthday very special..

The food was excellent and service was good too. I've knocked a star off because it was so dark in there I almost couldn't see what I was eating! Mood lighting is all well and good but I do like to see my food :)

Went last night for the first time with friends I know lots of people here say it's great but I found it really dirty and I have been so ill after. there was a funny smell there and the toilets were terrible dirty most staff seemed nice but there was one women don't know if she was owner was so nasty and rude to customers i will never go again that's for sure

We have been to Y Delyn on multiple occasions both for food and for drinks, each time we have been we have found the staff incredibly helpful and friendly. While expensive they do have a fantastic selection of craft beers and ciders. The food is utterly amazing and I have NEVER been disappointed, everything has always tasted and looked brilliant. Loads of vegetarian and vegan options too!

This place is absolutely gorgeous. From its rustic Spanish decor to its wide tapas menu, there is so much to chose from. Being vegetarian , I find general tapas quote limiting however Y Delyn is an exception. The low lighting, small tapas servings and the mixed wine options available serves an impeccable atmosphere. The staff are also lovely, and seem genuinly invested in the restaurant itself. I would highly recommend booking in advance as it is a small establishment. This is now our trusted 'go-to' for a good night out with perfect food.

After some good reviews I thought I was in for a good treat, turns out food was over cooked, cold, drinks were served in dirty glasses, no adequate lighting and owner screaming in anger to staff and customers, an absolute embarrassment to the industry, wouldn’t dare to pass my negative comments to her or she might have committed murder that evening... Whilst I’m here I will leave a message to the lady owner... If you wanna run a restaurant please make sure you have the minimum customer service skills required, or perhaps put the kitchen porter running the show whilst you place yourself in his position. Never will set my feet in there...

Oh my god I love this place! I have visited several times, each time ax good as the last! The bar and restaurant is fairly small and dimly lit giving an intimate romantic feel, its quirky and fun with a great selection of Belgium bars. Boy! Some are strong! The food is absolutely delicious, not a massive menu but what they do offer is delightful, full of flavour and great value for menu. I seriously haven’t had better tapas in the many times I have visited Spain!! Going to Ydelyn is a right treat , all their yummy dishes are served in traditional Spanish and Moroccan style crockery, the twinkly lights give it a chilled out romantic warm feel, and the simple but colourful furnishings take me away.. I love it. The Ydelyn potatoes are to die for might I add! Compliments to the Chef here.

Haven't been here for a long time but was still expecting a quality venue as this used to be. Unfortunately as well as different staff now behind the bar area the quality of the drinks were poor. As with most places nowadays you need to do a lot of food rather than concentrate on the drinks side of the business to stay afloat but i was very disappointed with the visit as everything appeared to be just about the food. Such a shame.

My husband and I popped in hoping to get a table at around 6.10pm ( the restaurant doesn’t open till 6pm) as we hadn’t booked, this was no problem and we received a lovely welcome. I have eaten here before with a group of friends and always vowed to return as the food was fantastic! The menu is not extensive but it’s got everything you require to enjoy the Tapas experience and each dish is done so well. The wine selection is also great, we enjoyed a nice bottle of Malbec with our food. Again, the food was amazing. There wasn’t one dish that we didn’t totally enjoy. Everything was cooked perfectly and the accompanying garnishes were perfect! The place filled up quickly as a lot of tables were reserved so the atmosphere was great....it’s very cosy which I liked! Staff were friendly and service was quick. I wholeheartedly recommend this place if you love great Tapas and wine along with a great atmosphere.

My daughter from Brighton took me to the wine bar for an evening tapas on her visit to Wales on Thursday. We had the tapas selection and took the advice of the waiter to try out those favoured by regulars - the tortilla was delicious; as were the prawns, Moroccan chicken tagine and the meatballs. I loved the goats cheese and Moroccan zahluk - a speciality of the Moroccan chef. I liked he atmosphere of the place and the decor with old singer sewing machine bases for tables, posters and postcards from Morocco/elsewhere. There was nice music playing too. All in all a real surprise treat and I would definitely recommend the food and place to others.

I had heard good things about the wine bar and love tapas so me and a few friends went for tapas on Friday evening. Nice atmosphere, some interesting beers and the tapas was delicious! Loved the prawns, meatballs, chicken tagine and the tortilla. Well priced and super tasty.

Sitting next to a fire with my gorgeous girl, a tasty pint and beautiful tapas in a bar with great character ... I could get used to this! Will definitely be back soon

Went here last night for a meal with 7 friends to celebrate my birthday. The two young male waiters and young lady who took our order were lovely. Having visited with 2 friends 3 weeks previously, I couldn't wait to go again, however I now wish I hadn't bothered!

Came for a friends birthday; all the food was lovely apart from one meal - the prawns. When we told the young lad he was fine and apologised, he said we wouldn't have to pay for them! They were burnt! Next minute the owner/manager came up to us very abruptly saying we were wrong. She was very confrontational and it spoilt our meal. The prawns were burnt. We know a bonfire when we see one.

Table of 8 having a lovely evening. One tapas was slightly under par and the staff were lovely. The manager came over and proceeded to argue with 3 ladies at the table. Her behaviour was appalling. Ruined a fab evening.

Amazing tapas and lots to choose from but have to have the Lebanese meatballs every time, they are delicious!

Visited last week with friends for some tapas. We arrived at 7pm and were seated straight away (We had a reservation). The food was divine and I can't wait to go back for that reason. The staff were great and service was quick so can't fault that either.

I could not give this any rating and would not recommend at all. Obsurdly long 2 hour wait for food! Not being offered drinks after 45mins of being seated. Not enough food menus for the customers and trying to pass off a half full bottle of wine as a full bottle! The owner was extremely rude when challenged about the wait and offered to cancel the food order! We then asked for discount was responded with if we hadn't asked she would have given us discount. The management was exceptionally rude and unhelpful and actually didn't know what was going on in her establishment that night! DO NOT GO THERE UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES UNLESS YOU WANT TO WAIT FOR YOUR FOOD AND BE SPOKEN TO ATROCIOUSLY!!!!

Stopped off for a beer with my wife before going on to have a meal elsewhere. It was nice find on our visit to mold.

Visited with work colleagues last night, pre booked a table for 7pm, has to wait an hour to be given menus and drink order taken then waiting another 45minutes before our food order was taken, food eventually arrived after nearly 2 hours, when we complained to the manager that the service was poor she became very aggressive, when the bill arrived there was no good Will gesture taken off our bill which came to £190 when we asked for at least some discount due to very poor service the manager threatened to call the police if we didn’t pay our full bill, we paid and left never to return!!

The Wine Bar is quite a small area with low lighting so feels quite intimate. The bar is a good place to go on a Saturday night when you want something to eat with a difference. The tapas are very interesting and tasty with a good variety to choose from which means you can put your own meal together by selecting just three from the menu at a reasonable cost. You can also choose to sit upstairs where there is more room with a cosy setting.

My colleagues and I have just visited this restaurant and have been treated appallingly. Our table was booked for 7pm and we waited AN HOUR for menus and drinks; Our food was served around AN HOUR after that. When we asked for a discount for our inconvenience we were treated with aggression from the manager who threatened to call the police! I have never been treated so poorly at a restaurant. The food was good but did not make up for the appalling service.

Poor service: avoid like the plague!

I'd picked this place based on Trip Advisor reviews and it didn't disappoint. I've visited this pub many years ago on a very busy night so was surprised to learn of its Tapas offering and has plenty of character as a venue. Plenty of theatre posters decorate the walks along with some coloured lights which add to it's quirky character.

We have been coming here for well over 5 years, and the selection of ales is brilliant but the price of the meals, and size is becoming a bit too much. £3.90 is a bit too much for a side of potatoes. But the biggest issue is the not taking cards, I could understand if the food was cheap, but it is still well over the price that you would pay in a card taking modern resteraunt. Adjust your prices and it will still be a fun place to eat

My husband and I frequent visitors to Y Delyn and it’s our favourite place to eat in Mold. We have introduced many friends to the delicious tapas, lovely wines and beers, and it’s relaxed and eclectic style (which we love).

I came here recently with a couple friends to celebrate a birthday. The place was very busy, so we were glad that we had booked a table. Although we came late, they were very accommodating and did not rush us to order, even though they said that we were actually there after last orders.

I've loved this place for years and pop in every few months. The atmosphere is great, staff generally nice and the food is amazing. I just can't believe how expensive the beer is in there now. Love a craft or Belgian beer but can't see why I'd pay £6 for a can of beer. Literally more expensive than craft beer places in Chester or Mamchester but in Mold! Winds me right up paying £6+ for a can of beer. It's just silly now

Lovely atmosphere,food,drinks.All staff are lovely but Sean stands out from the rest great customer service skills!!!! Nothing is too much trouble for him from the moment you walk through the door he makes you feel so welcome he is a asset to the place and because of that we will be coming back again and again.I highly recommend everyone visits this wine bar for drinks and tapas you won't be disappointed!!

Walked in here for the first time with my partner and saw the charm. That did not last. 2 minutes from our arrival we were met by run down staff, seemingly headed by a "hippy" looking woman. Not ones to judge we were sat at our table and looked through the menu. We soon realised that the painted brown ceiling was not painted at all, but was however stains from smoking. This is not a great example of cleanliness in the slightest. How this can still be deemed acceptable under the hygiene rating in place I will never know.

If you enjoy great wine, an extensive and current beer range and most importantly traditional style tapas - then this is your place.

Visited here with friends oh my the food is amazing! Staff are lovely and is really reasonable. We had a large selection of tapas but the garlic bread and the brushetta was the best I have eaten in a long time.

The menu was varied and very fairly priced. The staff very friendly as were the customers. The atmosphere was very pleasant, even for a lone traveller and the food very enjoyable. Will return! Need to bring cash.

I have been visiting family for the past seven years in mold and we had our first meal at this tapas restaurant. From outside it doesnt look anything special, you walk through the door and you are transported into another country. It has the ambeience and look of Morocco and food was excellent, staff so friendly and helpful. It was relaxing didnt have to rush to eat the food, i like the idea of having a bar in the middle so you could just walk in for a drink if you didn't want to eat and soak up the atmosphere with the brillant background music. Definitely going back and would recommend anyone to have a try at tapas.

Stumbled upon this place after an evening road trip through Flintshire & wasn't disappointed.

It's not strictly true to say hidden really, Y Delyn has, been in mold for long long time. In fact my first cheeky pint in a pub back when I was...well ALLOT younger, was with the present owners father.. BacK then it was still slightly dark and dingy with an arty undertone, it's been more of a hub for artistic development and thinking than most people realise. Martine has expanded on this greatly and taken this lovely place to great heights including finding a successful food niche in mold. Long before the current craze

Haven't been here for some time and it's still great. Came with family and ordered off the set price menu. Had some lovely dishes including the gorgeous Lebanese meatballs and hot feta- to die for!! Good food nice bottle of wine what's not to love?!

He sido un local en este bar durante más de 25 años y era y todavía es el mejor bar de moho. Gran ambiente iluminado con velas, maravilloso personal, deliciosa comida y vino y a menudo interesantes cervezas europeas de barril. Recomendaría este lugar a cualquier hora del día para cualquiera que visite el moho.

Once in a while a its nice to be surprised by a venue that whisks you away to another place in the world and not what you expected when you entered through an unassuming blue door of a side street.Entering the bar you feel you have entered a bohemian hot spot, with beers, wines and cocktails that suits both the venue and its quirkiness and the those that would eat and drink there.I should mention that I only visited the downstairs and did not venture to the upper floor of the bar/restaurant.On entering venue you are immediately upon the bar that serves on three sides at the centre of the room with standing room for those that wish to drink from the bar and on all sides further seating areas for those either sampling the food here or wanted to spend some time whilst drinking.The small alcoves off the bar are for eating at the venue and are dimly lit with candles and the odd fairy light, which does offer a pleasant ambiance.The specials on drinks were excellent and a real surprise and complimented the tapas we ate on the night.The tapas are adequately sized and any bigger then we would have had difficulty finding room on the narrow tables. The food was fresh and tasty and none of the processed offerings that you get at some tapas bars or restaurants that claim they are tapas orientated.We ordered a selection of tapas and breads and oils and all were excellent. Orders were taken promptly and service was great including the bar service.In all a great venue and atmosphere along with food, drinks and service and not what was expected when entering through the door, it really does whisk you away to another continent.
