Nothing special. I have no idea how it scored 4.9 on Google. We ordered two regular cod, a large chips, and mushy peas. All portions were very small. The "large" chips were not even served in a proper container—just half-filled, wrapped in paper. The portion was smaller than regular chips at most fish & chip shops. They also charged 5p per fork and even charged for the bag.

I'm constantly disappointed these days by fish and chips shops but this is top rate. Not phased by fussiness, super polite and excellent food. No complaints.

Chips are amazing and fish cake one of the best I’ve had in at least five years and they made effort to do some batter bits for me which are absolutely scrumptious with curry sauce. Thank you so much. If I’m ever that way again we’ll stop by.

Disappointed!!! Not what I was expecting we drove 30 mins to try this place.. We ordered fish and chips with peas and curry it was nothing special batter raw in places and greasy.. £25 spent then charged us 10p for two forks

Haven't been to Woosey's in a while as normally go to Archways out of habit. The chips here were so much better than Archways wow! Will definitely be making this my regular chippy now.

This is definitely the nicest Fish & chip shop in the area. It is take out only & the shop is very small which means that sometimes you have to wait outside for your order! It is well worth it as the food is excellent. Lovely Crispy batter on good quality fish & the chips are lovely & all freshly cooked. Highly recommended.

This is a takeaway so not much counter space. Excellent chippy, great curry sauce and mushy peas, fried really well, fantastic chips. More vinegar and salt very good. Battered sausage and fish cake great too. Well deserving of the high rating - we took this and had it on a park bench by the town council!

Wow!! This was the best fish chips and curry sauce I've ever had. Crispy batter moist fish chips ate devine and curry sauce is beautiful. Well worth the 300 mile round trip from Coventry. Fantastic!!!!! *Update* Came again in 2023 and still ticks all the boxes superb food

When I'm in the area I always make a point of having the Fish and Chips. Sadly Wooseys is only open on a Thursday, Friday and Saturday for a few hours each evening.

Very much a favourite with the locals and I can see why, fish is freshly cooked and chips are golden. Batter is lovely and light and almost free from oil, portion size is perfect and when we asked for lots of salt and vinegar they were spot-on (many chippys get this wrong). Mushy peas were a real hit too. So glad we went out of town rather than into town where there are lots of chippys.

Very good fish and chips - the batter was light, fish very tasty. Loved the fish cake as well. Small queue before the shop even opened at 5pm but moved swiftly, well operated

We have been disappointed with the quality of the fish & chips from local F&C shops recently & decided to give Woosey"s a go. So glad we did. The quality & value were excellent. The fish was lovely & white & batter crispy & not at all greasy. The chips were well cooked & the curry sauce is very good. It will be Woosey's F&C from now on! Highly recommended.

Without doubt the best chippy in Conwy. They are even better than the arches which has been my choice since I was a lad in the late 70s. Woosey's fish is super fresh and cooked to perfection as are their chips. This is definitely our takeaway of choice now.

I really enjoyed the regular sized (it was big) cod with lemon and tartare sauce and large chips (enough for 2 people) with mushy peas and curry sauce (very nice). Tasted really delicious, served by very friendly staff and friendly customers were there too in a very clean and beautifully presented chip shop. Thank you and keep up the great work! Defo the nicest chippy around!

You see a chippy with a 4.8 rating on Google and you think that it's gotta be a bit over-hyped, surely. Nah, genuinely the best fish & chips I've had in years. Definitely will come here again the next time I'm in Conwy.

Fantastic chippy, a few minutes walk from Conwy. The food is cooked fresh and tastes amazing. You may queue for a few minutes to place your order, once done you get a numbered ticket. Hang around outside while your food is prepared.

Visited for the first time in quite a while... Quite simply THE BEST FISH and CHIPS I have had, EVER! Dry crispy, soft centred chips, lovely flaky cod in a crispy light batter. DELICIOUS! Thank you very much.

Nicest fish and chips I've ever had! Fish batter light and crispy, chips delicious with a slight crisp. We came over from Llandudno Junction to try a different chippy, and wasn't disappointed!

Freshly cooked to order the fish where crisp and flavoursome. Chips where of equally high quality with a side of mushy peas and gravy, perfect. It was a pleasure listening to whistling Paul as he cooked our fish and chips. 👍😄 Very friendly and welcoming staff. We where informed the fish we ordered where slightly on the small side, so free of charge and unprompted very kindly provided us with two extra ones. An all round pleasant experience and enjoyable meal. we will be visiting again.

The reason I have only given 3 stars is that we asked for lightly battered fish and the assistant said they are lightly battered, so we asked for even less batter , the assistant never passed on our request. Don’t think we were being unreasonable as everything is made to order. The chips and the fish is delightful just too much batter which goes greasy by the time you get to the end. Such a shame. Enoch’s in the junction and Japps catch in Colwyn Bay always oblige.

Mouthwatering smells as we wait on the queue (always a good sign of people are willing to queue). Really friendly server, who got through the queue really fast without making any of us feel rushed. Delicious fish and scampi and chips. Shame we are only here on holiday, or this works be my regular.

Recently moved back to Conwy with my partner. Tried all the local chip shops and Woosey's hands down beats them all. Staff are all super friendly and they do the best fish & chips I can honestly say I've ever had - and I've had a lot. Highly recommended! 👍

Best chips around Conwy / Llandudno area!

Bit awkward to get to on a busy day, but well worth the effort. There are at least 5 chippies closer, but I go here every time. The fish and chips are always perfectly cooked and a joy to eat.

Don’t believe the opening times! Webb site says they are open now, closing at 8pm, but when we get there they are closed! This is about the third or fourth time this has happened,but if you can catch them when they’re open, food is good. Sort the web site out, or stick to your posted opening times!

I haven't had fish and chips since the place changed hands. I was blown over. Melt in the mouth chips, fresh, moist fish in lovely batter. Everything in paper, no polystyrene in sight. I'm looking forward to my next visit.

This chippy is the best I've been too in a long long time....The food is out of this world..Everyone of the staff are lovely and friendly..And the shop itself is spotless clean.. Can't see this place getting any bad reviews... Well deserves 5 stars...
