Woodyz Pizza in Bridgend

Excellent pizzas, even accommodating my dislike of cheese. Little pricy, but will pay for quality. Only downside is that we returned to collect, after ordering in person, at time specified only to wait 5-10 minutes. No queue as we were there at opening time, so 1st customers.

Has to be one of the best pizzas ever, really tasty and freshly made. Lovely customer service really can’t fault this place.❤️

Woodyz put piza on a new level, to be fair they're out in front by a country mile and the sides are equal too. BTW, drink Italian beer with this piza (happen that is you like beer), not red wine. Awesome!

We ordered takeaway pizza and garlic bread home delivery. Delivery was quick but unfortunately the pizza and garlic bread were awful. The garlic bread didn’t even taste of garlic and was burnt. The pizza had too much topping on it and the edges were severely burnt and it was all just inedible. More than half of what we ordered went in the bin. Huge disappointment

Visited Woodyz last night. What a shambles. Staff were so miserable. Wow ! Also if asking for extra toppings be aware you will need a magnifying glass to see them …

Food was great we had 2 pizzas and a garlic bread delivered and would recommend, only downside is we were told 30 minites waiting time and didn't come for over an hour. Staff were friendly and apologetic though.

We were staying on trecco bay and didn't want papa johns. Found woodyz on the internet. So we decided on a takeaway. Ordered pizza and garlic bread on website. Pizza was delivered at the correct time by a very courteous young man. It was the nicest pizza and garlic bread I have had in a very long time. Prices are amazing too. Cannot wait for my next pizza. It might have been ok when it started but the pizza is either cold or soggy in the middle or there are little to no toppings. There are far better places to buy pizza from in the town and that's where I'll be spending my money from now on.

The last time we had a pizza from here it wasn’t great but we thought maybe it was a one off as we have had some lovely meals in the past. However, What a let down - the pizzas were not cooked enough and this resulted in rubbery tasteless cheese and a doughy base. The toppings are very sparse - think we counted 10 pieces of mushroom on a large pizza. Seems that Woodyz has gone downhill. It’s a real shame as we like to support local business but we won’t waste any more money here.

My family and I ordered over £60 worth of food it was promised to arrive with us in one hour but two hours later we were ringing consistently and had no answer and were starving. When the pizza finally arrived they were all stone cold, and burnt. The Quattro carni which includes roast chicken had no toppings of chicken on it. We also ordered cheesy garlic bread. There was no cheese on it. The two margarita pizzas were like cardboard and there was no taste. We have been ringing now for half an hour to complain although have had no reply. Extremely disappointed as we were looking to this due to the good reviews we had read. Do not order from this takeaway

Just finished our order and it was absolutely amazing. Really good pizza and such a good price (two pizzas for about £15). Delivered before stated delivery time which was a plus for us. Cant wait for the next!

Lovely, yummy pizza. Not sure of the price & delivery as it was a gift from a friend. Honestly, it's definitely worth a try. Lovely giftidea too, highly recommend. To think they are allowing Dominos is Porthcawl when we have two amazing pizza places. It's not fair on these small business owners. Can't publish my photo as it doesn't do it justice.

Decided to call Woodyz Pizza to order for delivery, friendly and helpful staff helped us with our order and even sorted us out with a special offer they were running. When asked how long until delivery, they said 40min. 40min later our pizza turned up. I did feel that the pizza could have been delivered a bit hotter, but they were still delicious especially with the dips!

We ordered two pizzas and a garlic bread from Woodyz this evening and we were not disappointed! The pizzas are excellent and the toppings are generous. The delivery was also very quick (we ordered via Just Eat and the food arrived about 20 minutes earlier than the predicted time!). The price is reasonable. I would definitely recommend and would go here again!

Bought some pizzas on a cold night and because we mentioned we had a 15min walk then lent us one the pizza delivery bags to keep the food warm. Really great customer service! Pizzas were delicious too!

Never tried before but had a 11th birthday sleepover and that’s what was on their menu for tea. Lol! It was lovely, 4 pizzas for £30 (only do 12 inch) and they even catered for the vegan with a vegan margarita (which was tasty by the way). Girls polished off their pizzas and mine was gone quite sharpish to! Thumbs up from us, would definitely have from there again, reminded me of the pizzas we had in Rome a few months back. Tasty! They do not deliver to Cornelly but was no bother picking them up so worth checking before ordering incase.

Visited the porthcawl shop this week.. went for the two pizzas for £10 with a pepperoni topping.. made from scratch and didn’t take long either.. ate it at home and with a normal pizza your hands are full of fat and oily but not from a pizza there.. it was spot on will be returning soon to try the Vesuvio Pizza

We ordered the four meat pizza with a few veggies added (olives, mushrooms and artichoke hearts). Lots of toppings to choose from. We also got cheesy bread with balsamic onions. Get these onions on something (anything!); they’re delicious!

Wow this place has really excelled itself. Lovely little place with the best pizza I’ve ever tasted. They cater for gluten-free and vegan and understand the issues around cross contamination. So glad I’ve found them and they have a place in Bridgend Broadlands too with an option to eat in. Totally recommend!!

Freshly prepared and watching your choice being made in front of you only serves to add to the sense of expectation before you went in. The result is far better than anything you can buy in a box at a supermarket, and is always well worth the wait....

We had a delivery from Woodys as we were in search of a fresh pizza place. Woodys pizzas hit the mark. Freshly prepared 12 inch pizzas at prices ranging from £7. We were staying at Trecco bay and for £2 they delivered it to our caravan and the service was really quick too. I am so glad we used them instead of the pizza place on site. The pizzas were delicious and the kids really enjoyed them too. Woody are much better than your regular pizza place so give them a try you won't regret it.

We've known about Woodyz for some time, but only recently ordered pizza from the takeaway. So far, we've enjoyed three pizzas, all of these have been very tasty, , good choice of toppings and delivered on time. Looking forward to trying more of the different toppings on offer.

Whilst passing we popped in to try this place and was really impressed with the selection on offer. I tried the Quattro carni which was lovely and cooked in a tradition pizza oven which I always prefer.

Called in at 935 and ordered diavolo pizza. Freshly prepared in 10 minutes. Good service and a tasty spicy pizza.

Had the most amazing pizzas from here, freshly cooked to perfection with good quality ingredients, at very reasonable prices. Cannot recommend this place highly enough. Will be back time and again.

We love it here - the kids love watching the pizza being made too! Very friendly staff and the prices are very reasonable as I wouldn't want to pay more. This type of pizza is authentic in my mind - not the fat, greasy stodge you get in other pizzerias (I won't name any but you get the picture) The taste is more refined and you can tell they use fresh ingredients. I wouldn't give my kids anything from the other pizza places - this is far superior.

We tried this place and ordered 2 take away pizzas. One was cooked fine, the other was practically raw. We took it back and the man tried to say it was OK, then after some time changed his mind and admitted it was indeed undercooked. He did offer a new pizza replacement but what is the point when the other pizza had already been eaten at home by one of us. The inconvenience of driving back and the time it would have taken. He should have offered a refund. We paid for 2 pizzas, but only 1 was edible. Evening meal ruined. Will not try them again, custom lost.

Walked in and ordered, took ten minutes and was prepared fresh in front of us. Nice atnosphere. We had two pizzas, a garlic bread and three dips for £1! Both pizzas were gorgeous, melt in your mouth. Great size and brilliant value for money. Dips were a very large portion so a really great deal. So impressed and if we lived locally we would order all the time. Thanks guys!

Woodyz is fantastic, the pizzas are always great quality and freshly baked. The service is quick and friendly. I would like to see more vegetarian options on the menu, although they are always happy to add on vegetables at an extra cost. They cater for vegans too with their Marinara pizza. We continue to be regular customers and love this local business

Had a great visit whilst on a motorcycle trip with some friends. The pizzas were absolutely top notch, very biker friendly and speedy service. What more could you want?!!! Will definitely visit again.

We were staying at the nearby Trecco bay and came here on the day we arrived. The pizzas are prepared and cooked in a big clay oven while you watch. The kids loved watching it being prepared. The pizzas were good value for money and absolutely delicious. They were so good we went back for more on the last day of our holiday too.

We chose to order two pizzas from here one evening as looking at the reviews and picks we thought their were Guna be amazing. Can't fault delivery time and staff but pizzas nothing special - we ordered a Hawaaian and a meat feast. Both were dry and tasted bland. We won't be ordering again!!!

Not much to say but if your in South Wales or even further afield visit this place!

Had a lovely pizza and Garlic pizza bread from here last night and must say it was a proper Italian style pizza just like you would get in Italy... Not fatty and greasy like normal pizza take aways and each meat topping actually tasted of that particular meat again unlike other take away where each meat blends into each other and all tastes the same.. Well done guys next time we're in Trecco Bay we shall be using you again

The staff were very friendly and happy to demonstrate the rather impressive pizza oven. I had the "Trump" pizza, it was a good size and tasted fantastic.

We got 4 pizzas between us to go, and the server kindly put this through under a deal to save us money. Pizzas were made quickly, in front of us and they were delicious! And good choice of toppings.

The Pizza chefs build the Pizza in your view - very clean and staff are friendly. Great Pizza, great ingredients, very tasty, If you haven't been its a must!

Have had takeaway pizza from here on a number of occasions & never fails to impress. Ingredients used are fresh & natural (no fabricated chicken or ham here). We also love the wood burnt aroma & texture. Give them a try - you won't be disappointed!

I am gutted I don't live near Woodyz Pizza - I was passing through Porthcawl last week and tried their "True Italian". It was superb, the price was even better! Would absolutely recommend this place.

We normally end up grabbing a pizza from Woodyz at least every 2 weeks. They often have 2 for 1 on cheese pizzas (you can add toppings) The pizzas are always prepared quickly and taste great. They delivery locally for a small fee also.

We have had a few Pizza from here over the months and i must say we have always loved them. Very good value for money and quality ingredients used. A great touch is that there are sometimes free pizza tasters while you wait. Bargain!

Planned to go for fish and chips but saw this nice looking pizzeria. Three young guys working there making bases from scratch. I went for basic Margarita and partner went for the Italian. Really good, fresh pizza and nice selection of drinks.

What a shame that with a great topping and perfect texture base that the base was very very salty which ruined what could have been a great experience. Will not go back. The Porthcawl Woodys is only take-away I believe.

We recently stayed at Trecco Bay Holiday Park and were a little shocked at the pizza prices. A recommendation from a family member pointed us towards Woodyz and we were not disappointed.

We got a Takeaway this evening from Woodyz and its by far the best pizza I have ever had! Bit of a wait for them to be cooked but definitely worth the wait authentic stoned baked! My and my family enjoyed them. Reasonably priced and fab staff

As a local word finally got round to me ..... I am not a massive pizza fan , which I realise is due to the previous pizzas I have had over many years being no where near the excellent level of the ones I tried tonight with my family ..... Staff were friendly helpful and patient with our dithering over the choice ..... You won't be disappointed in any way ...... One piece of advice would be to try and get an online menu as we drove up to see what choices there were and pick up a menu .... We did look on line at the website but it appears to be being constructed .... However the trip out was worth it ..... We will not be strangers !!!!

i walked past this place twice before i decided to buy as i wanted somewhere nice to eat them, so i went and got the car. well worth the trip and would just pop from cardiff to this place just to eat no problem at all.

Had two pizzas from here last night. Both my partner and I thought they were really nice. Freshly made, lovely dough base. Reasonably priced. Staff were friendly, would definitely visit again.

Always heard great things about this place. After a Friday night out they prvoided the best cure for a hangover albeit at about 7pm on Saturday. Staff professional and swift at turning out top quality pizza. Was great to taste real cheese really well flavoured. Young trendy and welcoming even for old fogies. If you haven't been you're missing a treat

Wasn't sure before I went into this take out. My kids wanted to try it though. I was pleasantly surprised as it was delicious! The whole family enjoyed it and we have been back several times. It is a nice change to have something cooked while you wait - they use fresh ingredients too!

We were on holiday locally and stumbled across this little gem when searching for eateries. We weren't disappointed - the pizzas tasted authentic and delicious. I recommend the garlic bread too! We will be back next year, for sure!

Friday night is pizza night!! & this is the best around! Standard size 12" Base with each one freshly made to order in the pizza oven from fresh ingredients while you wait. No frozen bases!! All good stuff and now they deliver!!! RESULT! !

I went to Woodyz whilst in a family trip to Wales and to say their pizzas were great is an under statement. A good selection to choose from and the ingredients are so fresh and tasty it's making my mouth water writing this review. The staff are very friendly and helpful and the prices are great value for the pizza you get. It was nice to taste an authentic style pizza rather than the mass produced drivel that you normally get on the High Street.

Heard about this place on the grapevine. Called them up and ordered. Went to collect and found it easily. Clean bright and well presented areas. Staff are happy tidy clean polite and efficient. And the food, well, best pizzas I have had ever. Well done and keep it up

Found this place by chance and so glad we did. Bought a margarita pizza and an own choice topping one and these two were plenty for 2 adults and a 14 year old. Pizzas were authentic tasting and cooked as you order. Delicious.

We had a pizza night and ordered four different pizzas to try. My only issue is that they can't cook all four at once however they did place two on the pizza oven to keep warm.

So nice to have a local pizza takeaway-the food is lovely and staff very friendly. I hope they can expand the menu and grow the business further-will definitely be returning!

Visited Porthcawl with family crowd recently and ordered pizza. I couldn't believe the quality and taste of these, simply the best o it's my favourite place now. A great variety of options, with the freshest, best tasting pizzas I've had and the same goes for the garlic bread. This may be due to the authentic Italian wood fired oven. The staff are really friendly as well. If you live near Porthcawl this is the place to go.
